The main purpose of this study strongly concerned micro machining error estimation by using FEM analysis of tool deflection shapes in micro flat end-milling process. For the precision micro flat end-milling process, analysis of micro cutting errors is mandatory. In general, tool deflection is a major factor which causes cutting error and limits realization of the high-precision cutting process. Especially, in micro end-milling process, micro tool deflection generates very serious problems in contrast to macro tool deflection. Methods which deal with compensation of cutting error by tool deflection in macro end-milling process have been studied plentifully but, few researches transact with micro scaled cutting tool deflection in micro cutting process. Therefore, the trend of micro tool deflection was estimated by using FEM analysis in this paper. Cutting forces were acquired by micro dynamometer and these were utilized in FEM analysis. In order to verify FEM analysis results, micro machining processes were carried out and real machined profiles were compared with FEM results. Finally through the proposed approach well suited FEM results were obtained.

The miniaturization and integration are trend of modern blood analyses. Micro-Bio-Fluidics plays an important role in a micro blood analysis system. In this paper, analysis and design technology for blood analysis system is presented. Numerical simulations of a blood flow in micro separator and reservoir are conducted. As a result, we suggest on-chip micro separator, which performed plasma separation from whole blood in micro channels.
This paper describes an automated evaluation of electrostatic field for micro motors whose sizes range 10 to 103um. Electric field modeling in micro motors has been generally restricted to in-plane two-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA). In this paper, the actual three-dimensional geometry of the micro motor is considered. An automatic FE mesh generation technique, which is based on the fuzzy knowledge processing and computational geometry techniques, is incorporated in the system, together with one of commercial FE analysis codes and one of commercial solid modelers. The system allows a geometry model of concern to be automatically converted to different FE models, depending on physical phenomena to be analyzed, electrostatic analysis and stress analysis and so on. The FE models are then exported to the FE analysis code, and then analyses are peformed. Then, analytical analysis and FE analysis about the torque generated by electrostatic micro motor are performed. The starting torque is proportional to $V^2$, the calculated starting torque from the two-dimensional analytical solutions are three times larger than those from the three-dimensional FE solutions.

Micro-grid consists of micro-sources which adopt environmentally friendly and reliable power sources such as Fuel-Cell and Micro-Turbines with independent real and reactive power control capability for providing premium power quality. This paper deals with the basic aspect of dynamic modeling and the stability analysis of the micro-grid system. The fundamental frequency model of the micro-source inverters are considered to form a dynamic model of the micro-grid system Stability analysis is performed based on the linearized dynamic model of the micro-grid system Case study results show the parameters affecting the stability of the micro-grid.

The thermal analysis method containing micro drilling characteristic is proposed for the first time. There are such problems in thermal analysis of micro hole drilling as the thermal modeling complexity of drilling process and the undesirable micro drilling characteristic. Especially, the undesirable micro drilling characteristic prevents our using conventional thermal modeling. To model the thermal behavior of the micro drilling process, the finite different method, where heat source vectors are distributed by the measured rhrust and torque, is proposed. This method agrees with thermal behavior of the real system. And, it enable to predict the temperature field near the drill during. The validity of this method is verified in comparing with experimental results.
Free vibration analysis of a three-layered microbeam including an elastic micro-core and two piezo-magnetic face-sheets resting on Pasternak's foundation are studied in this paper. Strain gradient theory is used for size-dependent modeling of microbeam. In addition, three-unknown shear and normal deformations theory is employed for description of displacement field. Hamilton's principle is used for derivation of the governing equations of motion in electro-magneto-mechanical loads. Three micro-length-scale parameters based on strain gradient theory are employed for prediction of vibrational characteristics of structure in micro-scale. The results show that increase of three micro-length-scale parameters leads to significant increase of three natural frequencies especially for increase of second micro-length-scale parameter. This result is according to this fact that stiffness of a micro-scale structure is increased with increase of micro-length-scale parameters.

Assembly is mentioned as important process saving time and cost where we produce the machine with many parts relationships. In this study, parts assembly relationship is analysed for assembly information of micro milling machine which have been developing for research. Liaison diagram, datum flow chain and assembly tree are applied to discuss assembly characteristics of micro milling machine model. We can find out the characteristics of micro machine assembly and discuss about facility of assembly. Some analysis in this paper about micro milling machine will give a useful tools for assembly. We knew that the predicted results from analysis in this study are alignment and clearance among the parts. The 3D model of micro machine which is studied in this paper is not a complete model. Main parts of a micro milling machine are used and presented.

Micromachines are extremely novel artifacts with a variety of special characteristics. Utilizing their tiny dimensions ranging roughly from 10 to $10^3$ micro-meters, the micromachines can perform tasks in a revolutionary manner that would be impossible for conventional artifacts. Micromachines are in general related to various coupled physical phenomena. They are required to be evaluated and designed considering the coupled phenomena. This paper describes finite element analysis (FEA) simulation of practical behaviors for the micro actuator. Especially, electric field modeling in micro actuators has been generally restricted to in-plane two-dimensional finite element analysis because of the complexity of the micro actuator geometry. However, in this paper, the actual three-dimensional geometry of the micro actuator is considered. The starting torque obtained from the in-plane two-dimensional analytical solutions were compared with that of the actual three-dimensional FE analysis results. The starting torque is proportional to $V^2$, and that the two-dimensional analytical solutions are larger than the three- dimensional FE ones. It is found that the evaluation of micro actuator has to be considered electrical leakage phenomenon.

Manufacturing process for milli components has recently gained researcher's focus with the increasing tendency toward highly integrated and micro-scaled parts for electronic devices. The milli-components cannot be formed by the conventional manufacturing process since the parts require higher dimensional accuracy than the conventional ones. In order to enhance the forming accuracy and productivity, various forming procedures proposed and studied by many researchers. In this paper, forming analysis of milli-components has been studied with a new micro-former. In modeling of progressive dies, multi-stage forming sequence has been analyzed with finite element analysis by LS-DYNA3D. The analysis proposes the sequential die and part shapes with the corresponding punch force and dimensional accuracy. The analysis also considers the effect of elastic dies on the dimensional accuracy of the formed parts. The analysis result demonstrates that the elastic analysis in the milli-forming process is indispensable fur accurate forming analysis. The analysis procedure in the paper will provide good information in design of a new micro-former and milli-component.
Bone is so crucial anatomy for human body. Many researchers study deep into a subject about bone regeneration. There is no standard analysis for quantitative Neo-bone regeneration on calvarial defected model. Micro CT is so useful method to quantitative analysis of Neo-bone regeneration. This study was show that how to quantitative analysis of Neo-bone regeneration with ${\mu}-CT$ Micro CT was possible to quantitative analysis for Neo-bone regeneration on Calvarial defected model. futhermore Not only was Micro CT possible for qualitative analysis but quantitative analysis on the mouse calvarial model.
