The purpose of this study is to identify the main subjects of the reading programs which are provided by the public libraries during september, "the reading month," in 7 metropolitan cities, Seoul, Pusan, Daegu, Incheon, Daejeon, Gwangju, and Ulsan. To achieve this purpose, the data are collected from 622 programs of the sixty-two libraries. The content analysis method was used to analyze data and find results from it. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Reading and culture are identified as the main subjects of the programs. 2. The preferred subjects among the public libraries in 7 metropolitan cities are identified as different.

This study analyzes the problems of environmental laws, development planning laws, Metropolitan Area Development Planning(MADP), and the level of environmental pollution at Pusan and Asan-Bay Metropolitan Area where MADP will be realized in the near future. In order to prevent the environmental pollution by realization of MADP, Environmental Impact Assessment Act and environmental impact assessment systems in Korea should be revised so as to reflect the followings. First, the impact of national landuse planning change on the environment should be considered at the beginning of environmental impact assessment procedures. Second, the overlapping and greater impact of many projects, whose part is the subject of environmental impact assessment, upon surrounding metropolitan area should be simultaneously evaluated and the environmental pollution protection and abatement alternatives must be made according to the above impact of the projects. Thirdly, total effluent regulation of water pollution, air pollution and solid wastes should be enforced based on the self-purification of the metropolitan area environment.

Ministry of Land, Transportation and Maritime Affairs of Korea has started a research project on verification process and safety assessment of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) system for metropolitan railroad control as a 3-year project starting from 2010. As a number of companies has made efforts in securing the technologies for domestic production of CBTC systems, the purpose of the project is to develop the specification for interoperability with the considerations for local environments including metropolitan train operations and wireless communications. And the developed systems and the RAMS related outcomes from the participating companies are subject to Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) performed by a foreign specialized agency and the corresponding certificates are to be issued as a part of the project. In this paper, the RAMS management for verification and commercialization of metropolitan railroad CBTC systems has been studied. The study includes response strategy for the requirements of international standards, responsibility and authority of the related institute and the companies, quantitative RAMS objectives, and risk management strategies in project fulfillment.

Currently gifted education aims for convergent gifted education according to government policy. The purpose of this paper is to investigate correlation of information subject and science subject(physics, chemistry, biology, and geology) for the gifted children in IT. For this purpose, the gifted children in IT who attended a gifted science education center attached to a university at Seoul Metropolitan Area are selected. Their grades during their the period of attendance are collected and analysed. The statistical results show that there is a meaningful correlation between information subject and biology subject for the gifted children in IT. It means that the higher scores information subject is, the higher scores biology subject is. The results can be used to make or change gifted curriculum and education contents for gifted IT education.

In the knowledge-based society, IT literacy and application of a person become a measure of personal competitiveness. As IT industry is of great important nationally, many countries are trying to make an effort to promote IT industry. In this sense, identification and fostering of the gifted children in IT become an important national task since, in IT industry, usually only a few prodigies have led whole IT industry. This study is to test some expected performances coming from the introduction child care electronic voucher system, and suggest some policy implications. At first, this study established causal model on the expected performances of child care electronic voucher system, and then tested it through structural equation model on the base of survey. Survey was made through sampling employees of child care facilities in Gwangju Metropolitan City. This study showed that the expected effects of child care electronic voucher system are significant. This study suggested some implications basing on this analytical results.

In this study, smart environmental management, which is an essential element for building a sustainable city, was studied. Incheon area in the metropolitan area was selected as a research subject, the recent atmospheric environment was reviewed comprehensively, and the main air quality policies of Incheon city were summarized. The smart environment management application cases were organized and analyzed to summarize the results. Based on this study, smart environment management plans for the creation of a smart city in an urban area were suggested.

Purpose : This study aims to investigate the effect of instrument-activities daily living training through client-centered home visitation on the cognitive functions, occupational performance, and instrument-activities daily living of elderly at the cognitive support grade(Grade6). Methods : The subject of this study was a 66-year-old woman living in G Metropolitan City, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and mild dementia. The study period was from March 17, 2020 through June 12, 2020, and the A-B-A' design, among the individual case experiments, was adopted as the study design. For the data analysis, descriptive statistic and visual analysis using graph were used for the change of cognitive functions, occupational performance, and instrument-activities daily living. Results : The instrument-activities daily living provided through client-centered home visitation improved the subject's cognitive functions, occupational performance(performance, satisfaction) and instrument-activities daily living. Conclusion : This study showed that daily life training through client-centered home visitation can help elderly people at the cognitive support grade select for themselves the problems of daily life caused by cognitive decline and practice specific action plans, thereby enabling them to maintain and improve the cognitive functions necessary for the performance of activities, such as comprehension, memory, and thinking skills. In addition, it is thought that the activities based on the subject's preferences, performance, and sense of importance assured the subject of feelings of motivation and the possibility of participation, and had a positive effect on the subject's performance speed and rate. With the above in mind, Instrument-activities daily living client-centered home visitation is proposed as a potential practical intervention program for individuals. It can help elderly people at cognitive support grade to maintain and improve their functions, thereby delaying the progress of their condition to severe dementia.

This study aims to consider the subject completion system based on high school credit system in State of California. To achieve research aims, this study analyzed a characteristics of curriculum of credit system in US, subject completion system based on high school credit system in State of California. Based on analysis results, this study search implications for implementing high school credit system in korea. For stable implement of High School Credit System, This study proposed that 'review of relevance of graduation requirement credit', 'effort in Metropolitan and Provincial office of education and School for establishing meaningful subject', 'taking follow-up action in accordance with setting of subject completion standard', 'qualitative improvement of student's subject selection', 'revitalization of career coaching for meaningful subject selection', 'setting of level on connectivity between high school curriculum and university entrance examination', 'a study on the in-depth follow-up about high school curriculum based credit system in foreign country'.
