New Trends and Strategies For the Integration of Information and Communication Technologies in Educational Activities

  • The article discusses the results of a quantitative analysis of open educational resources in the field of information technology. Study is based on a study of the content of ten platforms that provide access to open resources (OPs). To achieve this goal, we used the following methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of Internet sources to determine the popularity of educational platforms and resources on them; quantitative data analysis to determine the relative proportion of IT courses in various parameters: the relative weight of courses in the IT field in general and on each platform in particular, the language of instruction, the quantitative content by thematic areas. The following platforms providing access to open educational resources were subjected to quantitative analysis: Coursera, Edx, Udemy, MIT OpenCourseWare, OpenLearn, Intuit, Prometheus, UoPeople, Open Learning Initiative, Maidan Open University.

온라인을 통한 의사소통 교과목 수업의 효과: 융합적 교육방법 적용 (Effects of Online Communication Courses: Application of Convergent Education Method)

  • 본 연구는 역할극과 집단활동을 활용한 의사소통 교과목의 온라인 수업이 간호대학생의 의사소통능력, 자기효능감 및 대인관계능력에 미치는 효과를 파악하기 위하여 실시되었다. 단일군 전후설계의 유사실험연구이며, 1학년 간호대학생을 대상으로 2020년 9월부터 12월까지 각 100분, 총 13회의 의사소통 교과목 수업을 진행하였다. 간호대학생의 의사소통능력, 자기효능감과 대인관계능력은 온라인 수업 이후에 유의하게 향상되었다. 연구결과에 따라 온라인 교육 플랫폼을 통해 간호대학생에게 다양한 교수법을 적용한 의사소통 교과목 수업의 효과성을 확인할 수 있었다.

Assessing Nurses' Educational Needs based on Knowledge and Importance of Clinical Microbiology

  • Purpose: The current study investigated how clinical microbiology courses are conducted at the undergraduate nursing level in South Korea to identify the perceptions of clinical nurses regarding their knowledge and the clinical importance of microbiology and further assess their educational needs. Methods: Curricula presented on the websites of 202 undergraduate nursing institutions were reviewed. In addition, a survey assessing the knowledge and importance of clinical microbiology perceived by nurses was conducted online. A total of 150 nurses participated in the survey. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation coefficients, t-tests, analysis of variance, Borich Needs Assessment Model, and Locus for Focus Model. Results: The results indicated that 90% of undergraduate nursing institutions offer clinical microbiology courses under various subject names. The perceived knowledge and importance of clinical microbiology were correlated; however, knowledge was consistently lower than the perceived importance of clinical biology among nurses. The structure and proliferation of novel viruses ranked highest in the educational needs of nurses based on both the Borich Needs Assessment Model and Locus for Focus Model. Conclusion: Based on the findings, this study suggests educational opportunities for clinical microbiology in hospital settings to reduce discrepancies between knowledge and the importance of clinical microbiology faced by nurses.

대학생의 원격수업에서 학습몰입도에 미치는 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Learning Immersion in College Remote Classes)

  • Purpose: The study aimed to identify factors that affect college students' learning immersion in non-face-to-face remote classes. Methods: During COVID-19, a survey was conducted on 140 college students who were taking non-face-to-face remote courses at universities located in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungcheong-do, Korea. Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficients, Independent t-test, ANOVA, and Hierarchial stepwise multiple regression with SPSS (Windows version 27.0). Results: In the study, the most important variable influencing learning immersion was the student's self-efficacy, followed by instructor presence, class participation, lecture satisfaction, and credits. Conclusion: Instructors who teach major courses at college need to develop and apply ways to enhance learners' self-efficacy and class content that can boost learners' motivation in order to maximize learners' learning immersion. In order to facilitate learners' access to online media and maintain their interest in remote classes, passionate efforts need to be made by active instructors.

친환경 웨트클리닝을 위한 초음파 세탁성능 분석 (Ultrasonic Washing Performance Analysis for Eco-friendly Wet Cleaning)

  • In this study, the performance of ultrasonic cleaners for ultrasonic washing, which is one of the wet cleaning methods, was evaluated. The washing performances of ultrasonic cleaners were compared with commercial washing machines under normal and wool courses based on different parameters such as detergency, wrinkle formation, fabric damage, dimensional stability, and germ removal ability. Cotton, silk and wool were used in this experiment. Results revealed that the ultrasonic washing detergency of cotton fabrics was lower than that of commercial washing machines under the normal course and similar to that of commercial washing machines under the wool course. Detergency of silk fabrics was similar under both normal and wool courses. In terms of wrinkle formation and dimensional stability, ultrasonic cleaners showed lesser wrinkles and lower shrinkage than commercial washing machines. Considering damage evaluation, ultrasonic cleaners more effectively removed soil without damaging fabrics compared with commercial washing machines. The bacteria removal rate of both cotton and silk was more effective than the wool course of a commercial washing machine. Thus, this study compares the performance of ultrasonic cleaners and commercial washing machines and provides meaningful results related to ultrasonic washing performance.

치기공과 전공심화 교육과정 운영현황에 관한 연구 (A study current curriculum on the department dental technology for advanced course at colleges)

  • Purpose: This study aims to provide basic data for developing and improving a nationwide curriculum for advanced courses in dental technology departments. Methods: For the study, the 2021 academic curricula for all six universities with operating departments for advanced study of dental technology were investigated from November 18 to December 10, 2021. If a curriculum was not available for analysis on the university's website, it was obtained via e-mail or phone and then analyzed. Results: The curricula offered advanced courses in a range of 7~14 subjects, with an average of 9.7 subjects. The total number of credits ranged 20~33, and the average for all universities was 25.2. Among the total subjects opened, digital-related subjects comprised the largest proportion at 26.2%, followed by other major-related subjects (e.g., dental techniques, occlusion, and implants) and other liberal arts subjects. Conclusion: The study revealed that the curricula for bachelor's-level dental technology course at universities adequately reflect the industry demand. In the future, university leaders must maintain ongoing collaboration and consultation with industry experts with regard to school curricula for analyzing the education demand and industry prospects, including careers.

이미지 기술을 이용한 문헌정보학 교수법 개발연구 (Teaching Methods for the Library and Information Science Using Image Technology)

  • 본 연구는 이미지기술을 이용한 교과목과 과제물을 개발하여 강의 한 후 학생들을 평가한 사례연구이다. 이 결과 문헌정보학의 여러 과목에 기존의 시청각과목에서 가르치던 멀티미디어 기술과 새로운 이미지 정보기술 방법을 종합하여 강의하게 된다. 학생과 교수는 최고의 인간관계를 맺게 되고 문헌정보학의 과목은 재미있고 수강 학생수가 증가하면서 교수의 강의 평가점수가 많이 향상되었다.

A Study on Creative and Convergent SW Education Programs for improving Computational Thinking

  • After the fourth industrial revolution came along, SW education to improve creativity and problem-solving ability began in elementary, middle, and high schools first and then in universities as well positively; however, research on the curriculum or what it has to pursue is not yet enough. Here, this study will investigate the current status of SW education provided in software-oriented schools operated in universities and also given as cultural studies in general universities and examines the curriculum or the standard plan for education. In most schools, it is operated as similar subject names, and diverse methods are tried on- and off-line to cultivate computing thinking skills. Also, to study SW education programs that can be operated in the general cultural courses of universities and find out how to utilize them, this author suggests the goal setting, educational contents, and teaching methods for SW education. As follow-up tasks, it will be needed to apply the suggested programs to the field and find out new evaluation methods in order to cultivate creative and convergent persons of ability.

  • Korea is a high level of ICT infrastructure Construction in the OECD's PISA 2006. However, the purpose using of ICT was analyzed for the sake of the interest. They have been emphasized a algorithm-based computer education in conference that it was attended by government, industry and university officials. We designed an algorithm curriculum by analyze a case in international ICT training courses and research. And we were proposed various methods, such as web-based contents, play-based programs, outdoor activities and educational programming language learning for algorithm learning at levels of elementary and middle school students.
