특히, 슈비츠게벨의 , < La course ${\grave{a}}$$l^{\prime}ab{\hat{i}}me$ >은 다양한 변형과 운동성이 그의 표현방법과 함께 잘 결합했다는 점에서 애니메이션 시공간 분석의 좋은 사례가 되는 작품들이다.

Olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus larvae and early juveniles were reared for 43 days after hatching in order to observe the effects of starvation during development and metamorphosis. Morphological, histological and biochemical measurements were made to assess the nutritional condition during growth and starvation from pre-matamorphic through post-metamorphic phases. Two groups of fish were compared ; one with sufficient food supply and one under continuous starvation until death. Among morphometric analyses, both ratios of body height at anus/head height and pre-/post-anal lengths appeared to be sensitive to starvation during which substantial reduction was observed within a day of food deprivation. Histological variables as intestinal and rectal epithelial heights and gall bladder volume changed significantly with onset of starvation. The gut epithelial heights of starving fish decreased with advances in starvation, although they fluctuated during mid-metamorphic phase. In contrast, gall bladder volume increased remarkably soon after starvation. Ontogenetic changes in both gut epithelial height and gall bladder volume were evident, those associated with settlement and/or completion of metamorphosis. Abrupt decrease in the RNA/DNA ratios of starving fish were found right after onset of starvation. Even in the fed fish marked fluctuations in its ratios during metamorphosis were observed, evident by decreasing from late-metamorphic to post-metamorphic stages. These findings suggest that a combination of morphologically and histologically sensitive characteristics, and biochemical measurement could be utilized as a measure to evaluate nutritional condition related to starvation in wild olive flounder larvae and juveniles.
The purpose of this study is to analyse the inclinations and expressions in contemporary architecture. Specially, we call this tendency and architectural movements as architectural metamorphosis. Metamorphosis in architecture present the core of the change of Forms and spirits in a change of outward shape and terrestrial identity. As in Ovid's extended dramatic poem of change and transformation, Metamorphoses, all Souls are deathless, and migrates from one form to another. Like these stories in Metamorphoses, Ovid tells the soul never dies, but leaps one form to anther, and can take any shape. So the architectural form, transformation and deformation in contemporary architecture means architectural sensations and cognitions can even approach the soul of form and shape under the transformation. The expressions and design strategies of metamorphosis in comtemporary architecture reveal continuous and sequential formations of space, linear structure with force and vector, rhythmical wavement and folding surface, lively wiggly flows of volumns and objects, and so on. Such qualities came from the periodical needs; separation of structure and surface, poly-surfacial movement, poly-sensual expression and experience, dematerialization and the dematerialized space, formless of non-formal architecture, digital architecture. Architecture of Metamorphosis is the ways and the needs of our period to overcome the static limits prohibits the liberal thoughts, to find the ways toward the opportunities and diversities and to unlock the imaginaire of the contemporary architecture.
Although culture techniques for the abalone Haliotis discus hannai are well known, mass culture of the benthic microalgae that are essential live food for the abalone larvae is still not practiced. This study was conducted to identify the microalgal species suitable for the growth of early larvae of H. discus hannai. The growth and attachment rates of 31 microalgal species were examined. Acrylic plates were used as the substrate. Among the 31 microalgal species, nine showing high growth and attachment rates were selected and tested for their dietary values via factors including settlement, metamorphosis, and survival rates of abalone larvae. Tetraselmis hazeni and Rhaphoneis sp. induced the highest settlement rate (65-69%) in abalone larvae. The metamorphosis rate was highest (57%) in larvae fed Rhaphoneis sp. and was also significantly higher in larvae fed Oscillatoria splendida (29%) and T. hazeni (22%) than in those fed other species. The highest survival rate of the larvae during the 15 days after metamorphosis was 67% in those fed Rhaphoneis sp., followed by T. hazeni (42%) and O. splendida (35%). In conclusion, Rhaphoneis sp. is the most suitable diatom for use as a live food for the culture of early larvae of H. discus hannai. In addition, T. hazeni and O. splendida are also potential species to be further developed and utilized in larval culture.
Limbs and supporting structures of an organism experience a full weight of its own when it lands from water, because neutral buoyancy in the aquatic habitat will be no longer available in the terrestrial world. Metamorphosis of anuran amphibians presents 8 good research model to examine how this transition from non-loading to weight-loading affects development of motor capacity at the time of their first emergence on land. Our video analysis of the transitional anurans, Rana catesbeiana, at Gosner stage 46 (the stage of complete transformation) demonstrated that the take-off speed increased 1.23-fold after the first six hours of weight-loading on the wet ground. It did not increase further during the following three days of loading, and was close to the level of mature frogs with different body mass. During development of larvae in deep water with no chance of landing through metamorphosis, both tension and power of a hindlimb anti-gravity muscle increased 5-fold between stages 37 and n. However, the muscle contractility increased more rapidly when the larvas could access the wet ground by their natural landing behavior after stages 41-42. Muscle power, one of major factors affecting locomotory speed, was 1.29-fold greater in the loaded than in the non-loaded larvae at the transitional stage. Thus, weight-loading had a potentially significant effect on the elevation of motor capacity, with a similar extent of increment in locomotory speed and muscle power during the last stages of metamorphosis. Such a motor adjustment of the froglets in a relatively short transitional period would be important for effective ecological interactions and survival in their inexperienced terrestrial life.
The biochemical characteristics of immunorecative atrial natriuretic peptide (irAUPP and the changes in the levels of irANP in the heart were investigated during the metamorphosis of frog tadpoles. Immunohistochemical localization of pro-ANP in cardiocfes and the presence of irAW in the peritoneal fluid of metamorphosing tadpoles were also examined. The major form of irANP in the cardiocvtes of tadpoles (Rana omurensisp was high molecular weight on gel filtration chromatographv and reverse-phase HPLC. The levels of irANP in the atrium of tadpoles were five to seven times higher than those in the ventricle. In metamorphosing tadpoles the levels of irANP in the atrium increased at stage XX, the climax of metamorphosis, and decreased at stage XXV (P < 0.051, the completion of metamorphosis. When the levels of irANP was expressed as a function of body weight of tadpoles, a continuous increase in the levels of irANP was observed from pre- to postmetamorphosis (P < 0.051. The levels of irAUP in the ventricle were found to be higher in the adult frogs than in tadpoles (R. omurensisl (P < 0.01). Pro-ANP (31-67) immunoreactivity was detected in the ventricle as well as in the atrium of tadpoles fR. nigromaculotal. The peritoneal fluid was also found to contain low molecular weight of irAUP and the levmils of irANP were 55.4 $\pm$ 9.1 pg/ml. Changes of the level of irANP at different stases of the life cycle suggest that ANP may play a role in the regulation of body fluid homeostasis of frog tadpoles during the metamorphosis.
Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) fish goes through metamorphosis in the larvae phase. In this phase, it secretes much thyroid hormone to control metamorphosis. Sharp change in the environment and nutrition deficiency may cause stress in the metamorphosis phase. It leads to interfering with the development of thyroid hormone and finally inhibits the normal growth of larvae. In this study, the correlation between the change in thyroid hormones and the albinism appearance was examined by growing them with low temperature ($13^{\circ}C$) stress over the premetamorphosis stages (stage $D\~F$) of flounder metamorphosis. Albinism rate was $15\%$ in the low temperature group and $25\%$ in the control goup. $T_{4}\;and\;T_{3}$ of the control group tended to increase from stage F as larvae grew. $T_{4}$ increased 2 times compared to the control group as 72 ng/g at stage H, the increasing phae of water temperature, in the low temperature group. $T_{3}$ increased 8 times compared to the control group as 2.9 ng/g at stage E, the decreasing phase of water temperature. Therefore, it is judged that the albinism appearance of flouner is caused from the sharp increase in $T_{3}$ by the inappropriate secretion of thyroid hormone.

The midgut epithelium of Indian honey bee Apis cerana indica is consist of digestive cells and small regenerative cells. The regenerative cells are placed in the nests scattered among the digestive cells. During metamorphosis the midgut of Apis cerana indica is remodeled. The larval midgut epithelium and muscular sheath digested partially at the end of larval period and thrown out in the form of debris in the lumen. The new epithelium is formed by the proliferation of the regenerative cells and during pupation reorganization of midgut layer occurs. The ultrastuctural studies shows that the regenerative cells are in contact with degenerative cells by the cytoplasmic extension which have many septed and gap junctions in the fifth instar larvae. In developing pupae reorganization of the midgut epithelium is continued whereas in the pharate adult the midgut wall shows, characteristic of adult midgut epithelium with pycnotic nuclei in some cells.
This paper introduces a new concept - on-line FE model, as applied to metal rolling. The new technology allows for completion of process simulation within a tiny fraction of a second without loss of high-level prediction accuracy inherent to FEM. The three steps of an on-line FE model design namely, process metamorphosis, mesh design, and process variable design, are described in detail. The procedure is demonstrated step by step through designing actual on-line models for the prediction of the dog-bone profile in edge rolling. The validity and prediction accuracy of the on-line FE models are analyzed and discussed.
