Ti3C2Tx MXene, a 2D material, is known to exhibit unique characteristics that are strongly dependent on surface termination groups. Here, we developed a novel annealing approach with Ca as a reducing agent to simultaneously remove F and O groups from the surface of multilayered MXene powder. Unlike H2 annealing that removes F effectively but has difficulty in removing O, annealing with Ca effectively removed both O and F. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy revealed that the proposed approach effectively removed F and O from the MXene powder. The results of O/N analyses showed that the O concentration decreased by 57.5% (from 2.66 to 1.13 wt%). In addition, XPS fitting showed that the volume fraction of metal oxides (TiO2 and Al2O3) decreased, while surface termination groups (-O and -OH) were enhanced, which could increase the hydrophilic and adsorption properties of the MXene. These findings suggest that when F and O are removed from the MXene powder, the interlayer spacing of its lattice structure increases. The proposed treatment also resulted in an increase in the specific surface area (from 5.17 to 10.98 m2/g), with an increase in oxidation resistance temperature in air from ~436 to ~667 ℃. The benefits of this novel technology were verified by demonstrating the significantly improved cyclic charge-discharge characteristics of a lithium-ion battery with a Ca-treated MXene electrode.
This study was to investigate the effect of Jubak(Sulchigegie) on the physicochemical properties of pork. A pork was cooked in a pot opening the lid with the Jubak for 20 min and then covering the lid without Jubak for 20 min at $100^{\circ}C$. Effect of the added amounts of Jubak on the pork was examined by principal component analysis and electronic nose consisting of six metal oxide sensors. As a pork was cooked with 30g Jubak, ratio of resistance was increased. This condition removed unpleasant smell of pork. Effect of the pork with Jubak is better the end location than middle of pork. Also, first principal component score increased as the pork cooking time was increased. In the texture properties, hardness, chewiness, gumminess, and springness of the pork with 30g Jubak were significantly lower than others processed in this study. With sensory evaluation, the pork with 30g Jubak obtained the best score in taste, texture and overall acceptability. It could be concluded that the pork(400g) with 30g Jubak reduces the pork odor, increase the tenderness and improve the flavor and taste of pork.

To minimize such loss due to aging, research on energetic materials is being actively conducted though, there are difficulties in identifying the comprehensive aging mechanisms as they focused on the respective materials. In this study, thermal and surface analysis were performed on energetic materials composed of metals(W, Ti, and Zr) and KClO4 oxidizer to solve the blind spots of this aging study. It was newly found that the metals in the hygrothermally aged compounds can cause significant changes in performance. For example, the growth in the thickness of the oxide film on the metals led to an increase in the average value of activation energy(Eα). In addition, the standard deviation of Eα tends to dependent on the type of metal, which is due to the difference in electronegativity.
Among various types of harmful gases, hydrogen sulfide is a strong toxic gas that is mainly generated during spillage and wastewater treatment at industrial sites. Hydrogen sulfide can irritate the conjunctiva even at low concentrations of less than 10 ppm, cause coughing, paralysis of smell and respiratory failure at a concentration of 100 ppm, and coma and permanent brain loss at concentrations above 1000 ppm. Therefore, rapid detection of hydrogen sulfide among harmful gases is extremely important for our safety, health, and comfortable living environment. Most hydrogen sulfide gas sensors that have been reported are electrical resistive metal oxide-based semiconductor gas sensors that are easy to manufacture and mass-produce and have the advantage of high sensitivity; however, they have low gas selectivity. In contrast, the electrochemical sensor measures the concentration of hydrogen sulfide using an electrochemical reaction between hydrogen sulfide, an electrode, and an electrolyte. Electrochemical sensors have various advantages, including sensitivity, selectivity, fast response time, and the ability to measure room temperature. However, most electrochemical hydrogen sulfide gas sensors depend on imports. Although domestic technologies and products exist, more research is required on their long-term stability and reliability. Therefore, this study includes the processes from electrode material synthesis to sensor fabrication and characteristic evaluation, and introduces the sensor structure design and material selection to improve the sensitivity and selectivity of the sensor. A sensor case was fabricated using a 3D printer, and an Ag reference electrode, and a Pt counter electrode were deposited and applied to a Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) filter using PVD. The working electrode was also deposited on a PTFE filter using vacuum filtration, and an electrochemical hydrogen sulfide gas sensor capable of measuring concentrations as low as 0.6 ppm was developed.

In this work, we introduce a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor(CMOS)-based integrated circuit(IC) measurement set-up for quantum computer control and read-out using a cryogenic refrigerator. CMOS circuits have to operate at extremely low temperatures of 3 to 5 K for qubit stability and noise reduction. The existing cryogenic measurement system is liquid helium quenching, which is expensive due to the long-term use of expendable resources. Therefore, we describe a cryogenic measurement system based on a closed cycle refrigerator (CCR) that is cost-free even when using helium gas for long periods of time. The refrigerator capable of reaching 4.7 K was built using a Gifford-Mcmahon(G-M) type cryocooler. This is expected to be a cryogenic refrigerator set-up with excellent price competitiveness.

The transparent electrode characteristics of the SnO2/AgNi/SnO2 (OMO) multilayer structures prepared by sputtering were investigated according to the annealing temperature. Ni-doped Ag of various compositions was selected as the metal layer and heat treatment was performed at 100~300℃ to evaluate the thermal stability of the metals. The manufactured OMO multilayer structures were heat treated for 6 hours at 400~600℃ in an N2 atmosphere. The structural, electrical, and optical properties of the OMO structures before and after annealing were evaluated and analyzed using a UV-VIS spectrophotometer, 4-point probe, XPS, FE-SEM, etc. OMO with Ni-doped Ag shows improved performance due to the reduction of structural defects of Ag during annealing, but OMO structure with pure Ag shows degradation characteristics due to Ag diffusion into the oxide layer during high-temperature annealing. The figure of merit (FOM) of SnO2/Ag/SnO2 was highest at room temperature and gradually decreased as the heat treatment temperature increased. On the other hand, the FOM value of SnO2/AgNi/SnO2 mostly showed its maximum value at high temperature(~550℃). In particular, the FOM value of SnO2/Ag-Ni (3.2 at%)/SnO2 was estimated to be approximately 2.38×10-2 Ω-1. Compared to transparent electrodes made of other similar materials, the FOM value of the SnO2/Ag-Ni (3.2 at%)/SnO2 multilayer structure is competitive and is expected to be used as an alternative transparent conductive electrode in various devices.
The metal-support interaction of copper oxide supported on ${\gamma}$-alumina and silica was studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and temperature-programmed reduction(TPR). It was found that XRD pattern of CuO can not be observed up to 5.0wt % copper content for CuO/${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ while CuO/$SiO_2$ sample shows the CuO pattern even at 2.5wt% copper content. $H_2-$TPR of CuO/${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ system shows four major peaks at 145${\circ}C$, 185${\circ}C$, 210${\circ}C$, and 250${\circ}C$. In the case of CuO/$SiO_2$, a large peak at 250${\circ}C$ was appeared accompanying a small peak at 425${\circ}C$. Comparing the TPR peaks with that of copper aluminate which was prepared from the calcination of CuO/${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ at 1000${\circ}C$, the peaks at around 145${\circ}C$, 200${\circ}C$ (185${\circ}C$ and 210${\circ}C$), and 250${\circ}C$ were corresponded to $Cu^+$ ion in CuO interacting ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$, $Cu^+$ ions in defect sites of ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ and $Cu^{2+}$ ion in the bulk CuO layer, respectively. From the results, it was concluded that there is considerable metal-support interaction in CuO on ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ and the interaction results in a stabilization of $Cu^+$ ion in the system.

Purpose : The measurement of skin dose is very important that treatment of breast cancer. On account of the cold or hot dose as compared with prescription dose, it is necessary to analyse the skin dose occurring during the various plan of the breast cancer treatment. At our hospital, we want to apply various analyses using a diversity of dosimeters to the breast cancer treatment. Subjectss and Methods : In the study, the anthropomorphic phantom is used to find out the dose difference of the skin(draining site), scar and others occurring from the tangential treatment plan of breast cancer. We took computed tomography scan of the anthropomorphic phantom and made plans for the treatment planing using open and wedge, Field-in-Field, Dose fluence. Using these, we made a comparative analysis of the dose date points by using the Eclipse. For the dose comparison, we place the anthropomorphic phantom in the treatment room and compared the measurement results by using the TLD and MOSFET on the dose data points. Results : On the central point of treatment planing basis, the upward and downward skin dose measured by the MOSFET was the highest when the fluence was used. The skin dose of inner and outer was distinguished from the figure(5.7% ~ 10.3%) when the measurements were fulfilled by using TLD and MOSFET. The other side of breast dose was the lowest in the open beam, on the other hand, is highest in the Dose fluence plan. In the different kinds of treatment, the dose deviation of inner and outer was the highest, and so this was the same with the TLD and MOSFET measurement case. The outer deviation was highest in the TLD, and the Inner'was highest in the MOSFET. Conclusion : Skin dose in relation to the treatment plan was the highest in the planing using the fluence technique in general and it was supposed that the high dose had been caused by the movement of the MLC. There's some differences among the all the treatment planning, but the sites such as IM node occurring the lack of dose, scar, drain site are needed pay close attention. Using the treatment planning of dose fluence is good to compensate the lack of dose, but It increases the dose of the selective range rather than the overall dose. Therefore, choosing the radiotherapy technique is desirable in the lights of the age and performance of the patient.

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usefulness of a 3D printed phantom for in-vivo dosimetry of a prostate cancer patient. Materials and Methods : The phantom is produced to equally describe prostate and rectum based on a 3D volume contour of an actual prostate cancer patient who is treated in Asan Medical Center by using a 3D printer (3D EDISON+, Lokit, Korea). CT(Computed tomography) images of phantom are aquired by computed tomography (Lightspeed CT, GE, USA). By using treatment planning system (Eclipse version 10.0, Varian, USA), treatment planning is established after volume of a prostate cancer patient is compared with volume of the phantom. MOSFET(Metal OXIDE Silicon Field Effect Transistor) is estimated to identify precision and is located in 4 measuring points (bladder, prostate, rectal anterior wall and rectal posterior wall) to analyzed treatment planning and measured value. Results : Prostate volume and rectum volume of prostate cancer patient represent 30.61 cc and 51.19 cc respectively. In case of a phantom, prostate volume and rectum volume represent 31.12 cc and 53.52 cc respectively. A variation of volume between a prostate cancer patient and a phantom is less than 3%. Precision of MOSFET represents less than 3%. It indicates linearity and correlation coefficient indicates from 0.99 ~ 1.00 depending on dose variation. Each accuracy of bladder, prostate, rectal anterior wall and rectal posterior wall represent 1.4%, 2.6%, 3.7% and 1.5% respectively. In- vivo dosimetry represents entirely less than 5% considering precision of MOSFET. Conclusion : By using a 3D printer, possibility of phantom production based on prostate is verified precision within 3%. effectiveness of In-vivo dosimetry is confirmed from a phantom which is produced by a 3D printer. In-vivo dosimetry is evaluated entirely less than 5% considering precision of MOSFET. Therefore, This study is confirmed the usefulness of a 3D printed phantom for in-vivo dosimetry of a prostate cancer patient. It is necessary to additional phantom production by a 3D printer and In-vivo dosimetry for other organs of patient.
This study is to develope a phantom for MOSFET (Metal Oxide Semiconductors Field Effect Transistors) dosimetry and compare the dosimetric properties of standard MOSFET and microMOSFET with the phantom. In this study, the developed phantom have two shape: one is the shape of semi-sphere with 10cm diameters and the other one is the flat slab of $30{\times}30cm$with 1 cm thickness. The slab phantom was used for calibration and characterization measurements of reproducibility, linearity and dose rate dependency. The semi-sphere phantom was used for angular and directional dependence on the types of MOSFETs. The measurements were conducted under $10{\times}10cm^2$ fields at 100cm SSD with 6MV photon of Clinac (21EX, Varian, USA). For calibration and reproducibility, five standard MOSFETS and microMOSFETs were repeatedly Irradiated by 200cGy five times. The average calibration factor was a range of $1.09{\pm}0.01{\sim}1.12{\pm}0.02mV/cGy$ for standard MOSFETS and $2.81{\pm}0.03{\sim}2.85{\pm}0.04 mV/cGy$ for microMOSFETs. The response of reproducibility in the two types of MOSFETS was found to be maximum 2% variation. Dose linearity was evaluated In the range of 5 to 600 cGy and showed good linear response with $R^2$ value of 0.997 and 0.999. The dose rate dependence of standard MOSFET and microMOSFET was within 1% for 200 cGy from 100 to 500MU/min. For linearity, reproducibility and calibration factor, two types of MOSFETS showed similar results. On the other hand, the standard MOSFET and microMOSFET were found to be remarkable difference in angular and directional dependence. The measured angular dependence of standard MOSFET and microMOSFET was also found to be the variation of 13%, 10% and standard deviation of ${\pm}4.4%,\;{\pm}2.1%$. The directional dependence was found to be the variation of 5%, 2% and standard deviation of ${\pm}2.1%,\;{\pm}1.5%$. Therefore, dose verification of radiation therapy used multidirectional X-ray beam treatments allows for better the use of microMOSFET which has a reduced angular and directional dependence than that of standard MOSFET.
