As the number of foreign workers increases in Korea, people's interest in their adaptation to this society has also increased. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a forest-healing program on foreign workers' cultural adaptation stress and psychological wellbeing. The experiment was conducted in a recreation forest located in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon-do. The subjects who participated in this study included 40 foreign workers (16 males, 24 females). The experiment was conducted for three days and two nights from June 26 to 28, 2019. The forest healing program was composed of activities that can enhance immunity and restore physical and mental health by utilizing various healing environmental factors such as landscapes, sunlight, anion and oxygen in forest. The independent sample t-test was conducted to examine changes in cultural adaptation stress and psychological well-being before and after the program. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 program. As a result, cultural adaptation stress was statistically significantly reduced in sub-factors including discrimination experience, language conflict and legal status. Psychological wellbeing improved in all the surveyed sub-factors such as self-confidence, ego, immersion, and joy. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for reducing the stress foreign workers experience from cultural adaptation and restoring their psychological wellbeing in the future.

Virtual reality is being increasingly used for healing and therapy for mental health. In this study, we developed VR-based immersive content that enables virtual travel without the limitations of time and physical conditions. We aim to develop and produce VR content for relaxation and meditation using the beautiful natural scenery. To make realistic and immersive content, we took a video of natural sceneries with a small UAV connected to a VR camera. The content was developed through stitching, video editing and post-processing of the initially captured video data, and then the created VR video was inserted into the VR device. The produced content will be helpful for stress and used to heal the mind and body of exhausted modern people by providing the place with great scenery and sound in an immersive way at any time.

Purpose: People must express their feelings and thoughts to maintain mental health and stability. Expressing one's emotions, experiences, and thoughts in writing relieves inner feelings, promotes self-exploration, and improves individual well-being, resulting in a pleasant state on physical, mental, and social levels. This study aims to reveal the learning experiences of university students who participated in a self-expressive writing course to improve their well-being. Method: To explore the learning experiences of university students who took a self-expressive writing course, this study used qualitative research methods to analyze the students' written reflection notes. Results: Self-expressive writing was found to resolve university students' negative emotions, regulate their emotions, improve their self-reflection and self-awareness, contributing to their problem-solving skills and ability to set new goals, and strengthen their social communication. The meaning of this class experience can be summarized as healing, awareness, reflection, change, and growth. Conclusion: The results of this study provide concrete data on expressive writing classes and are valuable when designing the writing programs.
Life expectancy is increasing due to the aging of the population, which is in turn exacerbating problems such as the prevalence of various geriatric diseases. This study was established to provide basic data for the expansion of forest healing activities for the elderly by systematically analyzing the literature on how such activities affect this age group. For the collection of studies, the Korean databases RISS, KISS, Korea Med, and Science On were used, while PubMed, Cochrane Central, MDPI, and Google Scholar were used to identify reports published elsewhere. To assess the quality of the methodology used in the collected studies, the risk of bias was analyzed using Cochrane's RoB2 and RoBANS. Among 1,856 reports initially identified, 21 were finally selected for analysis in this study, which were limited to research papers on forest healing activities for the elderly published between 2000 and January 2022. In this review, the subjects were those aged 60 or older, with a total of 750 participants, ranging from at least 7 to a maximum of 88 per study. The analysis showed that the most frequently performed tests in each category were on depression as a psychological indicator in 7 studies, MMSE(Mini Mental State Examination) as a cognitive indicator in 2 studies, on blood pressure as a physiological indicator in 4 studies, on melatonin as a biochemical indicator in 2 studies, and on body fat and muscle strength as physical indicators in 3 studies. Of the 21 studies, 19 used two or more test items, with psychological indicators being most commonly measured. For the future application of forest healing activities for the elderly, various forest healing programs to prevent cognitive function decline should be developed and distributed, and follow-up studies should be continuously presented to provide the basis for forest healing activities.
A purpose of this study is to provide Rousseau's health theory and health education in 『Emil』. Though Rousseau was not so much a doctor as a philosopher, he was good at health care and health education. After he had thought over healthy children for 20 years, he had written 『Emil』 for 3 years. His health theory was included in the book. He was aware of the importance of mother's milk, clothes, and physical health. Especially, he told mothers to rear a child at the breast. He understood thoroughly the demerits of medicines, and made no account of doctors and medicines. But on the other hand, He emphasized natural healing power in human body. He thought that one oneself was a physician. He thought highly of inner healing. He thought that only hygiene of medicine was useful to mankind. He prescribed that hygiene was a kind of ethics education. Therefore, his hygiene was associated with mental health and moral evaluation. Because many years have passed, today we can not accept all his assertions. But we need to stress preventive medicines, spontaneous healing, and self-care in health education.

Forest healing is a natural method that utilizes various natural environmental factors of forests to enhance immunity and to heal mental and physical pathologies. The aim of this study is to suggest implications for the future development of forest healing by analyzing the characteristics of facilities and programs in 28 national and public healing forests in Korea. The concept of forest healing and programs is defined, and healing forests operating in Korea are classified by size. The facility operation and program characteristics of healing forests were analyzed according to size, and the results were used to suggest a future direction for the development of domestic forest healing. The research results are as follows. First, domestic healing forests have gradually been reduced in size since they were first opened in 2009, which is the cause of the competitive creation of local governments. Second, healing spaces, forest paths, and programs for the elderly, pregnant women and disabled should be expanded. Third, lodging programs need to be expanded, and subsidies for usage fees from local governments are required. Institutional supplementation should be provided to link program development and facilities and to clarify procedures and standards for forest healing facilities.
