  • The government is trying to create jobs by providing 160 billion won in 2021 to revitalize youth start-ups, but the number of youth unemployment and potential unemployment is hitting a record high of 1.2 million due to the shock of employment due to COVID-19. Although start-ups are encouraged as an alternative to revitalizing jobs, the success rate of young start-ups is low due to lack of start-up funds and experience. The purpose of this study is to understand the need to diversify start-up education and career education by understanding start-up policies through one-time funding and short-term education. The results of the study on the factors affecting the willingness to start a business were as follows, by sampling 344 students from specialized high schools preparing for employment and 344 young people in their 20s who are seeking jobs. First, among the entrepreneurship subvariables, innovation, autonomy of job value, and desire for economic achievement are significant, and the older the person surveyed, the more positive the perception of the entrepreneur was. Second, as you get older, your will to start a business decreases, and your experience in successful start-up models and start-up education has an impact on your will to start a business. Third, perception of entrepreneurs is a partial medium effect, which indirectly influences the willingness to start a business and directly or indirectly influences the willingness to start a business through the autonomy of job values, the desire to achieve economic and entrepreneurship.

  • Objective: Unlike mammals, goose fatty liver shows a strong tolerance to fatty acids without obvious injury. Stearyl-coenzyme A desaturase 1 (SCD1) serves crucial role in desaturation of saturated fatty acids (SAFs), but its role in the SAFs tolerance of goose hepatocytes has not been reported. This study was conducted to explore the role of SCD1 in regulating palmitic acid (PA) tolerance of goose primary hepatocytes. Methods: 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide was examined to reflect the effect of PA on hepatocytes viability, and quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to detect the mRNA levels of several genes related to endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, inflammation, and apoptosis, and the role of SCD1 in PA tolerance of goose hepatocytes was explored using RNA interfere. Results: Our results indicated that goose hepatocytes exhibited a higher tolerant capacity to PA than human hepatic cell line (LO2 cells). In goose primary hepatocytes, the mRNA levels of fatty acid desaturation-related genes (SCD1 and fatty acid desaturase 2) and fatty acid elongate enzyme-related gene (elongase of very long chain fatty acids 6) were significantly upregulated with 0.6 mM PA treatment. However, in LO2 cells, expression of ER stress-related genes (x box-binding protein, binding immunoglobulin protein, and activating transcription factor 6), inflammatory response-related genes (interleukin-6 [IL-6], interleukin-1β [IL-1β], and interferon-γ) and apoptosis-related genes (bcl-2-associated X protein, b-cell lymphoma 2, Caspase-3, and Caspase-9) was significantly enhanced with 0.6 mM PA treatment. Additionally, small interfering RNA (siRNA) mediated downregulation of SCD1 significantly reduced the PA tolerance of goose primary hepatocytes under the treatment of 0.6 mM PA; meanwhile, the mRNA levels of inflammatory-related genes (IL-6 and IL-1β) and several key genes involved in the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (AKT), forkhead box O1 (FoxO1), mammalian target of rapamycin and AMPK pathways (AKT1, AKT2, FoxO1, and sirtuin 1), as well as the protein expression of cytochrome C and the apoptosis rate were upregulated. Conclusion: In conclusion, our data suggested that SCD1 was involved in enhancing the PA tolerance of goose primary hepatocytes by regulating inflammation- and apoptosis-related genes expression.

  • This study investigated the relationships between ADHD trait, emotional music use, relationship initiation, and expectation for future life in early adolescence, and to verify path model to predict the expectation for future life. The participants were 347 male and female middle school students, their average of ages was 13.35 (SD=.91). The ADHD trait was measured with self-report scale, emotional music use and relationship initiation were measured with sub-scales of Use of Music Inventory and Interpersonal Competence Questionnaire, and expectation for future life was measured with modified items of Satisfaction with Life Scale. Results revealed that ADHD trait was negatively correlated with relationship initiation and expectation for future life, whereas emotional music use was positively correlated with relationship initiation and expectation for future life. And, relationship initiation positively correlated with expectation for future life. The alternative model was adopted that included a direct path from ADHD trait to expectation for future life in the proposed model, rather than the proposed model in which ADHD trait and emotional music use affects expectation for future life through relationship initiation. The findings of this study should provide useful information for further studies and for professionals who try to promote the expectation for future life in early adolescence.

  • Drawing upon research in affect and social identity theory, this study examines when and how an individual's trait positive affect (TPA) exerts a significant effect on the person's organizational citizenship behavior directed toward individuals (OCBI). A moderated mediation model was tested by using the data of 293 employees nested in 66 work groups. Results demonstrate that the indirect effect of TPA on OCBI mediated by group identification (GI) is significantly positive only when perceived group positive affect (PGPA) is low, highlighting the substituting role of PGPA in the relationship between TPA and GI. The significant conditional indirect effects at the low level of PGPA suggest that TPA functions as significant, affective resources for enhancing GI and consequently increasing OCBI of the focal member when PGPA is low. By contrast, TPA's role in enhancing GI becomes redundant when PGPA is high. The current analysis reveals potential complementary functions of TPA and PGPA in explaining subsequent identity cognition and individual behavior.

  • In this study, a research model was established and analyzed in order to examine how the characteristics of organizational culture affect the innovation behavior of employees. This study divided the characteristics of organizational culture into development, stability, and rationality as sub-factors, and conducted a study on the relationship between characteristics of organizational culture and innovation behavior. This study also attempted to confirm whether creative efficacy mediates between the characteristics of organizational culture and innovation behavior. To this end, the data collection was targeted to 80 members of the organization in the company, and the SPSS and PLS programs were used to analyze the collected data. As a result of hypothesis testing, only stability among the characteristics of organizational culture had a significant direct effect on innovation behavior. These results can be interpreted as meaningful results in a study between the characteristics of organizational culture and the innovation behavior of employees. In addition, creative efficacy was found to significantly mediate the influence of organizational cultural characteristics (development, stability, and rationality) on employees' innovation behavior. We suggest that companies should focus on forming an organizational culture in terms of internal stability perceived by employees, and lead employees' innovation behavior to create organizational performance. We propose that companies should create an organizational culture so that the characteristics of the organizational culture (development, stability, rationality) increase the creative efficacy of the employees and lead to the innovation behavior of the employees.
