Investigating local dynamics requires precise control to effectively manage the subtle differences that distinguish it from global dynamics. This paper aims to study the localized perspective of the recently proposed continuum-wise expansive measures [13]. Let f : M → M be a diffeomorphism on a closed smooth manifold M and let p be a hyperbolic periodic point of f. We prove that if the homoclinic class H_f (p) of f associated to p is C¹-robustly measure continuum-wise expansive then it is hyperbolic.

It is shown that if S is a positively expansive endomorphism on a one-sided mixing SFT (X,T), then (X,S) is conjugate to a one-sided mixing SFT, and the Parry measures of (X,T) and (X,S) are identical.

Let (X, d) be a compact metric space, and let $f:X{\rightarrow}X$ be a continuous map. We consider that if a positively continuum-wise expansiveness continuous map f has the positively shadowing property in the nonwandering set, then the topological entropy is positive.

The major goal of caring the elderly is not to cure the patient, but rather to improve or maintain the individual functional ability. With the aged population increases, there is increasing consensus among health care workers about the importance of developing a tool to measure and evaluate the health status of the elderly. As many writers is pointing out, care of the elderly embraces the spectrum of physical-social-psychological problems and an enormous number of variables could be introudeced into the health worker's routine measurement. But such an expansive approach to measurement could have disadvantages. The purpose of this study is to introduce the measurement tools of physical functioning, perhaps the most important measure required in long-term care, which are separated into three categories of measures; general physical health, ADL, IADL. It is important that all health workers who provide care to the elderly incorporate the concepts of functional health status into the routine assessments. And continuous study about reliability and validity is needed to apply those foreign tools to Korea.

Let $T_{\phi}$ be a generalized Gauss transformation and $[a_1,\;a_2,\;{\cdots}]_{T_{\phi}}$ be a symbolic representation of $x{\in}[0,\;1)$ induced by $T_{\phi}$, i.e., generalized continued fraction expansion induced by $T_{\phi}$. It is shown that the distribution of relative frequency of [$k_1,\;{\cdots},\;k_n$] in $[a_1,\;a_2,\;{\cdots}]_{T_p}$ satisfies Central Limit Theorem where $k_i{\in}{\mathbb{N}}$ for $1{\leq}i{\leq}n$.

팽창토에 설치된 직경 305 mm 현장타설말뚝의 18개월간에 걸친 거동을 관찰하였다. 계절적 함수량 변화에 따른 말뚝주변 흙의 부피 변화가 발생시킨 말뚝의 인발력을 측정하였고, 측정한 인발력에서 말뚝 단위 표면적당의 전단 응력을 계산하였다. 본 실험 말뚝에서는 최대 전단 응력은 54 kPa이 계산되었다.

Optical fiber Brillouin sensor in a coil winding setup is proposed in this paper to measure the expansion deformation of a concrete column with a central rebar subjected to accelerated corrosion. The optical sensor monitored the whole dynamic corrosion process from initial deformation to final cracking. Experimental results show that Brillouin Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (BOTDR) can accurately measure the strain values and identify the crack locations of the simulated reinforced concrete (RC) column. A theoretical model is used to calculate the RC corrosion expansive pressure and crack length. The results indicate that the measured strain and cracking history revealed the development of the steel bar corrosion inside the simulated RC column.

Concrete with self-healing admixture can reduce the crack width by using a compound for chemical reaction with incoming water and carbon dioxide through the crack. Also, concrete with self-healing admixtures can reduce early-age shrinkage crack by using a inorganic expansive agent. In this research, we perform the basic workability test and compressive test. Also, We measure the drying shrinkage of concrete specimen. Finally, we make mock-up (3m X 3m X 0.23m) and monitor the crack width and length for 3 months.

The purpose of this study is to reduce autogenous shrinkage of high-strength concrete. Previous studies were investigated to measure the effects of reductions to autogenous shrinkage when applying bean oil to concrete. The results of the study showed that as the mixture rate of BO increased, fluidity decreased and air quantity decreased slightly. In early age, compressed strength increased compared to Plain while decreased in long-term age. As an autogenous shrinkage characteristic, reduction effect increased according to increase in mixture rate. When mixture rate is 1%, approximately 30% decreased compared to Plain in BO. At 2%, BO decreased by about 32%. In addition, in the case of BO, autogenous shrinkage was shown to decrease compared to expansive additive and shrinkage-reducing agent.

Automatic product system is gradually increasing according to development of industrial society. On-line measurement makes a important role in view of economic and effective side in industrial product system. Syncronization system is developed to measure screw thread which is rotating. In-process measuring of rotating body have a lot of difficuties even thoufht using various method containing high speed camera. So, now we suggest one of the new method which is not so expansive. In this study, digital value was produced through the image processing algorithm from acquired orignal image. As a result, we have a good agreement between measuring values calculated from image conture and measuring values acquired from profile project by means of experiment, respectively.
