  • 활성탄은 1,000m$^2$/g 이상의 큰 표면적을 가지며, 이것을 활용하여 공업적인 용도로 예부터 탈취제와 같은 흡착제로서 이용되고 있다. 최근에는 생활 수준의 향상으로 인해 악취에 대해 민감해져서 악취 제거제로서 활성탄의 사용량은 갈수록 늘어나고 있는 추세이다. 특히 우리나라의 경우 공업단지 주변에서의 악취에 대한 민원이 급증함으로써 여러 악취발생업체에서 악취 제거장치로서 활성탄을 이용하는 곳이 많아지고 있다.(중략)

  • For the colorimetric determination of Sulfa-drugs by means of solvent extraction, the sample solutions were added into dimethylglyoxime-Fe(II) complex solution, and extracted with pyridine-chloroform mixture (1:50) is a range of pH 7.5-8.5. The extracted solution shows stability and maximum absorption at 402m${\mu}$.

  • Nicotinamide Complex Compound was not formed in simple alkaline solution under two to one molar ratio of dimethyglyoxime and Fe (II), but it was formed with ammonia or pyridine under the same molar ratio. Based on this fact, nicotinamide solution was added into dimethyglyoxime-Fe (II) complex solution, and the chelation product was extracted with chloroform. The extraction was Completed in a range of pH 8.4-11.0. The chloroform solution shows stability and maximum absorption at 516 m${\mu}$.

  • The Tencel fabrics were treated with bio-softness finish to improve softness. The change of the properties depending on the softner as well as cellulase treatment was investigated. The relative activity of cellulase for tencel was maximum ap pH 4-4.3 cellulase concentration 14-16% (o. w .f) treatment time 4 hour and liquor ratio 100: 1 The treatment of epoxy silicon softner improved in pilling whiteness dye absorption of Tencel fabric.

  • The symmetric naphthothiazolo carbocyanine is of industrial importance as red-sensitizing dye in the spectral sensitization of emulsion microcrystals in negative film-making. The stability on the solvents of naphthothiazolo carbocyanine dye was measured by UV-Vis spectrophotometer, and then all of solvents were stabilized sensitizer. The maximum absorption peak range in various solvents was $600nm{\sim}612nm$. But it was identified that only methanol can be used to photographic emulsion.

  • The green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer has been studied UV-Vis absorption band of 9-methvl-5,5'-diphenyl-3,3'-bis(3-sulfopropyl)benzoxazolo carbocyanine triethyl ammonium salt in methanol solution and 10% methanol containing 10$^{-2}$ M KCl. the products were observed at 502nm and 540nm(J-band), respectively. The maximum spectral sensitivity of sensntizing silver halide emulsion showed at 546nm. In conclusion, benzoxazolo carbocyanine dye can be used as a green-sensitizing dye for the photographic emulsion.

  • A flew spectroscopic method was developed to determine microquantities of nicotine with cyanogen chloride and pyrazolon. Absorption maximum of tile derivative solution appeared at 520nm. The color formed in the proposed method was stable for at least 30 min. at pH 7.5, and followed the Lambert-Beer's law between tile limits of 1 and 5 micrograms of nicotine. The relative errors in burley and flue-cured tobacco leaves were $\pm5%$ in comparison with the Griffith method.

  • Acetylsalicylic acid gives a water-insoluble violet complex with $<\alpha>$-Picolin-Cu(II) reagent. The Complex is extractable well with a mixture of $<\alpha>$-Picolin-tetrachloromethane solution. The Complex salt dissolved in the mixed solution shows a maximum absorption at 620 m$<\mu>$. It has a melting point at $171^{\circ}C-$173^{\circ}C and molar ratio of Acetylsalicylic acid: Cu(II): $<\alpha>$-Picolin was estimated as 2:1:2 by continuous variation method and chelate titration method.

  • The ability of gentamicin to form a stable coloured complex with copper (II) in a sodium carbonate buffer solution, which had a maximum absorption at 694nm, was used for the spectrophotometric quantitative determination of gentamicin sulfate. The calibration curve obtained was linear over the range of 200~2,000mcg per ml of the sample and the analysis was very well agreed with the microbiological method.

  • The present study is to investigate the pressure wave characteristics and the absorption of the maximum and minimum pressure generated by instantaneous valve closure and opening at the end of the straightening copper Piping system with and without an air chamber. Also, life of air chamber is investigated. Experiments were conducted under the following conditions: initial pressure of 1~5 bar, flow velocity of 0.5~3.0 m/s, water temperature of$20^{\circ}C$ and air chamber volume of 45.1~449.5$cm^3$ The results of the study can be used in sizing air chamber and selecting the water hammer absorbtion apparatus.
