This paper proposes a model for assessing enterprise network maturity. We define maturity in terms of the institutional and member support for the network(organizational maturity) and its technical sophistication(technological maturity), and examine their relationships. We build several hypotheses about the relationships between the maturity types and between the maturity of the network and various organizational factors including industry, size, and performance of the enterprise. We test the hypotheses using data collected from a questionnaire survey with Korean firms. The results show that there is a positive correlation between organizational and technological maturity. It is also found that investment in the network infrastructure has a positive influence on the organizational efficiency. However, it is found that industry type does not affect network utilization, but size does, suggesting that large firms utilize network infrastructure more than small ones do. We also identify various relationships among performance, satisfaction level and the maturity of the enterprise networks. Finally, we provide an overview on the current technological state of the Korean enterprise networks.
Purpose: The study is aimed to identify the national cultural dimensions that are affecting the quality management (QM) maturity level and the project quality performance, and analyze their relationships. Methods: This study collected the data of QM Maturity level based on Crosby's QM maturity model and the project quality performance using the Iron Triangle (Quality, Time/Schedule and Cost) from the employees who are participating in the ITER Project across the major 8 countries (China, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, U.K. and U.S.A.). Three research hypotheses are proposed concerning the national cultural dimensions in this study and Hofstede's five cultural dimensions framework are used for the statistical test. Results: The results are two folds in the study: First, there is a significant positive correlation between the QM maturity level and the project quality performance. Second, three cultural dimensions (Collectivism, Large Power Distance and Strong Uncertainty Avoidance) and five cultural dimensions (Collectivism, Large Power Distance, Strong Uncertainty Avoidance, Feminity and Long Term Orientation) have a positive impact on the QM maturity level and the project quality performance respectively. Conclusion: From the results, the understanding and consideration of the culture difference among the countries participating International Collaboration R&D project are recommended.
In this study, we tried to investigate the influence of the career maturity of college students majoring in cosmetology on their devotion to the major. Research results As a result of analyzing the correlation between the career maturity level of cosmetology majors and the sub-factors of devotion to majors, all questions showed positive correlations between the career maturity of cosmetology majors and devotion to majors. as a result of analyzing the influence of career maturity on major activity sub-factors of major involvement, the crystallinity of career maturity , readiness statistically. As a result of analyzing the effect of career maturity on the major satisfaction subfactor of major immersion, the crystallinity of career maturity , readiness, and certainty were shown to have statistically significant positive effects. Through research results, we aim to develop a positive career maturity for cosmetology majors, improve their immersion in their majors, and establish a sense of values through correct theory and practical education. Immersion education and ongoing guidance seem necessary. Through this research, we hope that active discussions will be held on the career maturity of college students majoring in cosmetology and their devotion to the major.
The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of a career education program during a discretional activity class in elementary school. It established the following questions to achieve the objectives. First, does a career education program In a discretional activity class have an effect on elementary schooler's career maturity? Second, does a career education program in a discretional activity class make an influence on elementary schooler's self-concept? It was applied the experiment group a career education program. As for measurement, it was used career maturity level test for elementary and middle schoolers' and 'the self-concept diagnostic test'. It was examined career maturity and self-concept of the groups through the pre-test post-test, applying cross-tabulation analysis to career choices pattern and t-test to career maturity level and self-concept. The results were as follows: First, students of experiment group showed meaningful differences in career choice pattern, career choice attitude, and career choosing skills compared to control group, and that presented a career education program made a positive impact on elementary schooler's career maturity. Second, it showed that there was a significant difference in self-concept, showing students of experiment group took better place. it is believed that a career education program had a potent influence on the self-concept of elementary students.
Purpose: The purpose of this research is to develop defense quality evaluation model in order to improve the problem of private sector quality evaluation model and propose the total integrated defense quality management model which enables to evaluate not only large defense industry, but also small-medium industry. Methods: This paper consider the characteristics on ISO 9001 Quality Management System, single PPM, PASS and defense quality and develop defense quality maturity model and index which enables to measure the current quality management level and characteristics and to evaluate operational characteristics in each maturity level for domestic defense industry. Results: From 176 DQMS certified defense industry, the defense quality maturity level is 68,2, C grade. The large defense industry shows, 80.9, A grade; medium industry 69.7, C grade; small-medium industry shows 54.1, D grade. Through the classified types of industries, the current level of quality management of defense industries was diagnosed and the areas to be supplemented for the total quality management were identified. Conclusion: Developed DQMI can be used as the basic information for spreading quality management activities in the defense industry by diagnosing the overall quality management of existing defense industries and quantifying the ambiguity of non-metric measurements and measurement standard that were presented as the threshold of the defense quality management system certification process.
Objective: This study examined the relationships between negative affect, social support, and career maturity among adolescents. Methods: The participants in this study comprised 260 $1^{th}$ junior high school students in a Seoul metropolitan area. They completed questionnaires on level of negative affect, social support, and career maturity. Data were analyzed by means of basic descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations, and multiple and hierarchical regression analyses. Aiken and West's method was used to determine the interactive model's modality. Results: The major findings were as follows: First, negative affect was negatively correlated with social support and career maturity. Social support was positively correlated with career maturity. Second, significant interaction effects were found between negative affect and social support on career maturity; that is, for male students, significant interaction effects were found between negative affect and social support (parent support) on career maturity (career determinacy/career independence). For female students, significant interaction effects were found between negative affect and social support (peer support) on career maturity (career confidence/career readiness/career determinacy/career independence). Conclusion: These results suggest the need to intervene in relation to social support (parent support/peer support) and to improve career maturity among adolescents.
Assuming that the Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development v1.2 (CMMI) could be applied to an organization more effectively if the content similarities among practices were improved in terms of structure and composition, this paper presents the analysis of the correlations between the CMMI Specific Practices (SP) and Generic Practices (GP) for the Maturity Level 2 and 3 Process Areas using the Chi-square independence test. According to the analysis, a 22.2% correlation was observed. To minimize the problem of repeatedly applying similarities, 6 GPs that are highly correlated with the SPs were grouped together. Then, three different improvement plans: 1) development of a standard template-based project plan, 2) establishment of a configuration management system based on open source software to control work products and leverage experience, and 3) establishment of project assurance through an independent quality assurance-based organization and intensive review by higher-level management - were defined.
