오존처리에 의한 천연유기물질 변화 및 염소 소독부산물 전구물질 제어 (The Removal of Natural Organic Matter and Disinfection By-Product Precursor by Ozone)

  • 오존 투입농도 $0.5{\sim}3\;mgO_3/mgDOC$에서 $UV_{254}$와 DOC가 각각 $23%{\sim}65%$, $2%{\sim}15%$의 제거율을 나타내었고, THMFP와 HAAFP의 제거율은 오존 투입농도 $0.5{\sim}3\;mgO_3/mgDOC$에서 각각 $17%{\sim}52%$, $9%{\sim}29%$로 나타났다. 오존 투입농도에 따른 수중 천연유기물질의 특성변화를 조사한 결과, 소수성 및 반친수성 유기물질은 오존 투입농도 $0.5{\sim}3\;mgO_3/mgDOC$에서 각각 $37%{\sim}68%$, $35%{\sim}64%$의 제거율을 나타내었으며, 반면 친수성 유기물질은 $40%{\sim}49%$의 증가율을 보였다. 오존처리에 의한 천연유기물질 특성변화에 따른 염소 소독부산물 생성능 변화를 조사한 결과, 소수성 및 반친수성 유기물질에서 생성되는 THMFP와 HAAFP는 오존 투입농도가 증가함에 따라 큰 폭으로 감소하였으나, 친수성 유기물질에서는 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 오존처리에 의한 단위 DOC당 THMFP와 HAAFP의 변화에서 두 물질 모두 오존처리에 의해 단위 DOC당 생성능의 감소를 보였고, 오존 투입농도가 증가할수록 반응성의 감소가 크게 나타났다. 그리고, 단위 DOC당 HAAFP 보다는 THMFP의 경우가 오존처리에 따른 제거율이 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 오존 투입농도별 천연유기물질 특성변화에 따른 단위 DOC당 THMFP 및 HAAFP 변화를 조사한 결과, 소수성, 반친수성 및 친수성 유기물질에서의 단위 DOC당 THMFP 및 HAAFP 모두 반응성이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. Br-THMFP와 chloroformFP에 대한 오존 투입농도별 제거특성은 Br-THMFP의 경우 오존 투입농도에 따라 제거율 및 단위 DOC당 THMFP 제거율이 chloroformFP 보다 월등히 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, Br-HAAFP와 DCAAFP와 TCAAFP에 대한 오존 투입농도별 제거특성을 조사한 결과에서 TCAAFP는 오존 투입농도가 증가할수록 제거율 및 단위 DOC와의 반응성 감소율도 증가하였으나, DCAAFP는 오존처리 전 후로 제거율 및 단위 DOC와의 반응성에는 변화가 없었으며, Br-HAAFP의 경우는 $1\;mgO_3/mgDOC$ 이상의 오존 투입농도에서는 제거율의 상승은 나타나지 않았고, Br-THMFP에 비하여 오존처리에 의해 낮은 제거율을 나타내었다. 본 실험결과에서 소독부산물 생성능과 경제성을 고려하여 오존 투입농도를 결정한다면 $1\;mgO_3/mgDOC$가 적정 오존 투입농도로 조사되었다.

교과서에 제시된 물질의 성질을 나타내는 기본 단위에 대한 개념과 물질변화에 대한 개념 분석 (The Analysis of Concepts Related to Basic Unit of Matter Properties and Matter Change in Science Textbooks)

  • 이 연구에서는 물질의 성질을 나타내는 기본 단위 중 분자에 대한 개념과 물리변화와 화학변화로 대변되는 물질변화 개념의 변천을 과학사적으로 고찰하여 특징적인 관점의 변화에 따라 구분하였다. 이 연구에서는 물질의 성질을 나타내는 기본 단위를 과학사적 변천에 따라 5가지 관점으로 유목화하였다. 그리고 물리변화와 화학변화의 정의는 물질의 성질을 나타내는 기본 단위의 개념과 밀접한 관련성을 가지는 3가지 관점으로 유목화하였다. 중학교 과학 교과서와 고등학교 화학 교과서, 그리고 대학교 일반화학 교과서에 제시된 개념을 분석한 결과, 분자의 정의와 물질 변화의 정의 안에는 이러한 여러 시대의 정의들이 혼재된 상태로 제시되어 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 경우에 따라서는 진술 자체에 논리적 모순점이 있는 경우도 있었다. 이러한 경향은 제 4차 과학 교육과정에서부터 제 7차 과학 교육과정까지의 과학 교과서에서 지속되었다.

초순수 제조 공정에서 역삼투 막의 저농도 유기물 제거 (Removal of low concentration organic matter by reverse osmosis membranes in ultrapure water production process)

  • Ultrapure water (UPW) is water containing nothing but water molecule ($H_2O$). The use of UPW is increasing in many industries such as the thermal and nuclear power plants, petrochemical plants, and semiconductor manufacturers. In order to produce UPW, several unit processes such as ion exchange, reverse osmosis (RO), ultraviolet (UV) oxidation should be efficiently arranged. In particular, RO process should remove not only ions but also low molecular weight (LMW) organic matters in UPW production system. But, the LMW organic matter removal data of RO membranes provided by manufacturers does not seem to be reasonable because they tested the removal in high concentration conditions like 1,000 ppm of isopropyl alcohol (IPA, MW=60.1). In this study, bench-scale experiments were carried out using 4-inches RO modules. IPA was used as a model LMW organic matter with low concentration conditions less than 1 ppm as total organic carbon (TOC). As a result, the IPA removal data by manufacturers turned out to be trustable because the effect of feed concentration on the IPA removal was negligble while the IPA removal efficiency became higher at higher permeate flux.

자동차 도장시설에서 발생하는 유해대기오염물질 및 미세먼지의 배출특성에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Emission Characteristics of HAPs and PM from the Motor Vehicle Paint Facility)

  • This study is about emission characteristics of HAPs and particulate matters emitted by spray of paint and organic solvent usually used in vehicle paint facilities. To analyze emission characteristics of HAPs and particulate matters emitted from vehicle paint facilities are calculated based on the measuring emission quantity of pollutants based on the amount of paint used (kg) and unit area ($m^2$) by paint manufacturers (J company, K company, and R company). In cases of paint manufacturers (J, K, and R), average emission factors of VOCs, carbonyl compound, particulate matter, and PAHs per 1 kg of paint were 327.81 g/kg, 5.98 g/kg, 336.70 g/kg, and 0.0078 g/kg respectively. The average emission factors of VOCs, carbonyl compounds, particulate matters, and PAHs by unit area were $171.55g/m^2$, $3.10g/m^2$, $176.27g/m^2$, and $0.0036g/m^2$ respectively.

천이계열에 따른 온대초원의 유기물량 축적량 변화 (A Study on Change of an Accumulated Organi Matter Contents According to Successional Stage on Temperate Grassland)

  • 모델을 통한 지구의 탄소순환 과정을 정확한 예측과 검정을 위해서는 다양한 생태계에 대한 정확한 실측자료가 요구된다. 본 연구는 엔진부착형 패러그라이더로 손쉽게 얻을 수 있는 공중사진과 현장 관측을 통해 다양한 형태로 축적된 초원 생태계의 유기물(탄소량)을 정량하고 천이의 진행에 따라 초원 생태계의 유기물의 축적형태가 어떻게 변화할 것인가에 대해 고찰하였다. 연구결과 조사대상 지역의 주요 우점종은 서양미역취, 띠, 억새의 3종이었고, 각각의 군락에 축적된 유기물량은 서양미역취 군락이 7.00 kg $m^{-2}$, 띠군락이 9.18 kg $m^{-2}$, 억새군락이 12.68 kg $m^{-2}$ 로 천이후기로 진행할수록 높아지는 경향을 나타냈다. 하지만 토양에 축적된 유기물량은 반대의 경향을 나타냈다. 토양에 축적된 유기물이 적어짐에도 불구하고 군락이 축적된 총유기물량이 증가하는 이유는 억새군락이 가진 현존량이 증가하기 때문으로 나타났다. 초원생태계에서 천이계열상 가장 후기에 나타나는 억새군락의 우점도 증가는 지상에 온대초원생태계의 탄소축적량 증가에 기여할 것으로 사료된다.

법씨알의 크기가 모의 초기생육에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Grain Size of Rice Seeds on the Initial Growth of Seedlings)

  • 종자의 대소가 묘의 초기생육에 미치는 영향을 알고저 재건, 농광의 2개 수도품종을 공시하고 종자를 크기에 따라 대립, 중립, 소립으로 구별하여 묘대기의 생육을 관찰한 결과는 다음과 같았다. 1. 종자가 클수록 성묘율은 높아 대립이 묘수 확보에 유리함을 알 수 있었다. 2. 발근수, 출엽수 및 분얼수 역시 대립일수록 많았으며 품종간 차는 나타나지 않았다. 자엽장은 품종적 특성에 따라 농광이 길었으며 대립일수록 역시 길었다. 4. 따라서 지상부 건물중은 대립일수록 크게 나타났으며 품종별로는 농광이 높았다. 이러한 차는 생육이 진전될수록 현저하였다. 5. 단위 자엽길이 당건물중은 이난기까지는 감소하고 그 이후부터 증가하여쓴데 종자크기에 따른 건물중은 이 시기까지는 대립이 높았으나 그 후는 곧 차를 보이지 않았고 품종간 차는 전반적으로 나타나지 않았다.

  • Compared to yellow dust coming from China or particulate matter created naturally in spring due to Total Suspended Particulate(TSP), particulate matter in winter season have much more serious effect on human body as they penetrate cell membranes. Although such particulate matter are becoming a social issue, there are no concrete plans on how to reduce them. Air-purifying plants are limited in maintaining the indoor air quality of large area because it is usually difficult to quantify their performance. In order to improve this, a bio-filter that can be connected to air conditioner is suggested as an option. This study seeks to improve air conditioning model-based monitoring method for bio-filters from prior studies and objectify correlations between applied vegetation and growing environment into quantitative indicators. By doing so, this study seeks to provide criteria on plants applied to artificial soil-based vegetation bio-filters and basic information to set air-conditioning features. The study results confirmed significant tendency on the growing stability of each purifying plant in mechanical air-conditioning environment. Among three models selected for bio-filter vegetation models, epipremnum aureum showed high performance in quantitative indicators, including soil moisture, EC, and leaf temperature, etc., indicating that it would assure the highest growing stability in this test air-conditioning environment.

국민주택규모 단위세대 평면 분석 연구 - 2005년 이후 대한주택공사 사례를 면적분석 중심으로 - (Analytical Study for the Plan of Unit Household in National Housing Scale - Oriented on the cases of Korea housing corporation since 2005 ; Focused on analysing area)

  • Since collective houses are started to be supplied, the housing market has been transformed from supplier to demander oriented, and various type with same area of unit households have been deigned and started to be distributed. It can be expected that such transfer phenomenon would be continuously sped-up, and unit household will be more subdivided and varied. Thus, we analysed and studied the planes with subject of unit households in national housing scale ($85m^2$) that is treated as supply standard and has biggest volume in construction by Korean housing corporation. The analysing method is investigating the area of each room within unit household, calculating their minimum, maximum, and average values, studying the efficiency of unit household plane according to the structure of each room by comparative analysis these values, and analysing changing matter by investigating any change of each room area. The analysing results of which are followings. At first, number of BAY on face is increasing. Second, allocation of each room has been vary. Third, area ratio among bedroom1, livingroom, diningroom/kitchen become similar. Fourth, the area of diningroom/kitchen become somewhat bigger. Fifth, the space for passage way is efficiently allocated. Sixth, service area is reduced, Seventh, stereotyped phenomenon Is appeared. Based on many studies so far, any improvements of unit householder in national housing scale are followings. First, in terms of forming style, unit householder in national housing scale is unfolded in various way though, the form of each room is not more than typical style. Second, it shows stereotyped phenomenon. Especially, bathroom 1, 2 show stereotyped feature in terms of their type and area across entire research years, also LDK allocation method is stereotyped, as well as stereotyped trend in bedroom 2, 3, allocation for 4 BAY type.

생활권 개념의 변화에 따른 주거지 계획의 시기별 특성 변화 - 국내 신도시 및 신시가지 계획을 중심으로 - (An Analysis of the Characteristics of the Transition Trand of the Multi-family Housing Theory by Planning Community Units - Focused on the new town planning in Korea -)

  • A planned access method on constantly-changing-community unit plan changes and develops based on the periodical situation and also plan theory. In this research, it is to present the link between the theory of complex city change and the plan factor of it, and to show how Korean residential complex plan has changed as time passed and how new concept of city plan came up and by applying new methods how can this affect our real world and the past plan. In the phase of analysis, it analyzed the flow of 'community unit plan' and its theory and investigated the factor of compositional space and built a analysis frame. The factors of community unit plan are space structure, size and shape of block, population, distribution of facilities and movement system. It chose the place that can represent the flow of community unit plan trand and that indicates the obvious development leading to Jamsil (1975), Gwa Chun (1980), Mok Dong (1983), Sang Ge (1985), Ilsan (1989), Dong tan (2001) and Eun Jung (2003) total of 7 places. And to compare a similar size of the city, it selected a small community unit. Based on the result of theoretical study and prior research, it can be said that the space composition style has change from a whole complete complex area to a linked-cross over community unit and the access of urban level was on set. Also, a pedestrian walking area was secured and the dense of building structure and pleasant environment wanting need was in balance. For facility plans, the usage of facility and functional change brought change of type, size and disposition. The walking area for pedestrian became a huge matter. Therefore, market, education, public facilities and green system collaborated to co-build a whole community unit and activated the walking environment. Also, public transportation, environment friendly city organization was built.

병원"드레싱"상중 일부물품의 오염도에 관한 조사연구 (A Microbiological Study of Sterilized Materials on Dressing Carts)

  • Bacterial cultures of the transfer forceps, 4"$\times$4"mesh gauze and polluted air of nursing units of general surgery, internal medicine, gynecology and pediatrics of S.N.U.H. were carried on for S consecutive days (from 17th to 21s1 August, 1972) to investigate the degree of contamination of such instruments which were used in dressing the patients. 1. The average hospitalized patients for each nursing unit were 24 persons. 2. The frequency of dressing, and using forceps and gauze in surgical nursing unit were 25,316 and 66 times respectively. Actually the forceps were used most frequently. There was no dressing in the nursing unit of internal median. 3. Most of dressing were carried on from 11 : 00 to 13 : 59 o′clock. 4. Averagely 121.5 persons passed through each nursing unit. 549 visitors dropped in the nursing unit of gynecology in maximum, and 219 visitors in the nursing of internal medicine in minimum. The visitors rushed in from 11 : 00 to 13 : 59 o′clock to he 142.5 persons for each nursing unit in average. 5. Colony counts after the bacterial cultures of the forceps and gauze disclosed 1098.44 and 704.51 per plate respectively. 6. The degree of contamination was parallel to the duration and frequency of dressings. 7. The degree of contamination of the instruments was severest in the nursing unit of internal medicine, and !east in the nursing unit of gynecology. On the matter of gauze, the contamination was most extreme in the pediatric nursing unit. 8. There was no significant daily differences in terms of contamination throughout the week. 9. It was disclosed that empty forceps jars were less contaminated than the jars with solution of any kind. 10. Bacterial cultures of the polluted air in corridor showed 73,88 colony counts per plate.
