  • This study is a case study of artificial intelligence education subjects in the graduate school of education. The main educational contents consisted of understanding and practice of machine learning, data analysis, actual artificial intelligence using Entries, artificial intelligence and physical computing. As a result of the survey on the educational effect after the application of the curriculum, it was found that the students preferred the use of the Entry AI block and the use of the Blacksmith board as a physical computing tool as the priority applied to the elementary education field. In addition, the data analysis area is effective in linking math data and graph education. As a physical computing tool, Husky Lens is useful for scalability by using image processing functions for self-driving car maker education. Suggestions for desirable AI education include training courses by level and reinforcement of data collection and analysis education.

  • This research is based on Jungian psychology. The founder psychoanalysist Jung introduced the notion of unconsciousness. This researcher made Mandala figures as an intermediary between consciousness and unconsciousness, and then took Mandala figures a research starting point. Until now, Mandala has been used therapy tool for emotional stability. But, this researcher tried Mandala coloring to develope cognitive and emotional abilities for early childhood. This paper is a result of experiment to recognize geometric and spacial conceptions for early childhood.

  • This work has been directed at studying and developing a prototype Computer Aided Design(CAD) tool to be used for planning tendon paths in hand reconstructive surgery. The application of CAD to rehabilitative surgery of the hand is a new field of endeavor. There are currently no existing systems designed to assist the orthopedic surgeon in planning these complex peocedures. Additionally, orthopedic surgeons are not trained in mechanics, kinematics, math modeling, or the use of computers. It was also our intent to study the mechanisms and the efficacy of the application of CAD techniques to this important aspect of hand surgery. The following advances are reported here: Interactive 3D tendon path definition tools., Software to calculate tendon excursion from an arbitrary tendon path crossing any number of joints., A model to interactively compute and display the foirces in muscle and tendon., A workstation environment to help surgeons evaluate the consequences of a simulated tendon transfer operation when a tendon is lengthened, rerouted, or reattached in a mew location., It also has been one of the primary concerns in this work that an interactive graphical surgical workstation must present a natural, user-friendly environment to the orthopedic durgeon user. The surgical workstation must ultimately aid the surgeon in helping his patient or in doing his work more efficiently or more reliably.

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) describes a variety of approaches in computer applications to mimic human learning. As this technology becomes increasingly prevalent, it is inevitable that it will enter the educational environment, as both an educational tool and topic of learning. STEM education, which deals with science, technology, engineering, and math, is perhaps the most appropriate educational field in which to introduce students to this new and rapidly growing technology. In recent years, educators, AI engineers, and educational researchers have published trial results of experimental curricula implementing AI technology in student and teacher education. This systematic literature review analyzed a sample of seven such publications to identify key trends in suggested best practices for the usage of AI in STEM classrooms. The sample was analyzed for keywords using MaxQDA. The results indicated three key trends among suggested best practices. The first was that AI is best taught to students when the technology itself is the topic of education. Another trend was that simulating real world applications of AI technology was most impactful in showing students the potential, limits, and ethical implications of AI. Finally, it was found that educator's familiarity with AI is an important factor in their ability to employ it in the classroom.

  • This study analyzed the 2009 revised curriculum 6th grade math geometric domain and developed virtual operation tool contents based RME theory. These materials were examine to find out how to effect on the spatial sense and mathematical attitudes by applying it to teach the 6th grade students. The results were as follows. First, it is more effective for improving spatial sense to study mathematics based RME theory with virtual operation tool contents than normal one. This means that mathematics study based RME theory with virtual operation contents overcomes the limitations of flat learning environment. And it is great educational and effective method for students to improve their spatial sense. Second, it is more effective for improving mathematical attitudes to study mathematics based RME theory with virtual operation tool contents than normal one. This means that Mathematics study based RME theory with virtual operation contents makes student more participate learning actively. It helps the students who have passive learning habits to have self-directed learning habits, ability to cooperation and communicate. The results of this study suggest that mathematics study based RME theory is very helpful for student to improve their spatial sense and have positive effect on self-concept in mathematics, attitudes toward mathematics and improving study habits in mathematical attitudes.

  • Purpose : To develop a theoretical model for magnetic relaxation behavior of the superparamagnetic nano-particle agent, which demonstrates multi-functionality such as liver- and lymp node-specificity. Based on the developed model, the computer simulation was performed to clarify the relationship between relaxation time and the applied magnetic field strength. Materials and Methods : The ultrasmall superparamagnetic iron oxide (USPIO) was encapsulated with biocompatiable polymer, to develop a relaxation model based on outsphere mechanism, which was resulting from diffusion and/or electron spin fluctuation. In addition, Brillouin function was introduced to describe the full magnetization by considering the fact that the low-field approximation, which was adapted in paramagnetic case, is no longer valid. The developed model describes therefore the T1 and T2 relaxation behavior of superparamagnetic iron oxide both in low-field and in high-field. Based on our model, the computer simulation was performed to test the relaxation behavior of superparamagnetic contrast agent over various magnetic fields using MathCad (MathCad, U.S.A.), a symbolic computation software. Results : For T1 and T2 magnetic relaxation characteristics of ultrasmall superparamagnetic iron oxide, the theoretical model showed that at low field (<1.0 Mhz), $\tau_{S1}(\tau_{S2}$, in case of T2), which is a correlation time in spectral density function, plays a major role. This suggests that realignment of nano-magnetic particles is most important at low magnetic field. On the other hand, at high field, $\tau$, which is another correlation time in spectral density function, plays a major role. Since $\tau$ is closely related to particle size, this suggests that the difference in R1 and R2 over particle sizes, at high field, is resulting not from the realignment of particles but from the particle size itself. Within normal body temperature region, the temperature dependence of T1 and T2 relaxation time showed that there is no change in T1 and T2 relaxation times at high field. Especially, T1 showed less temperature dependence compared to T2. Conclusion : We developed a theoretical model of r magnetic relaxation behavior of ultrasmall superparamagnetic iron oxide (USPIO), which was reported to show clinical multi-functionality by utilizing physical properties of nano-magnetic particle. In addition, based on the developed model, the computer simulation was performed to investigate the relationship between relaxation time of USPIO and the applied magnetic field strength.

  • There has been a lively discussion on improving Korean students' academic achievement and the imbalance in their recognition of the value of mathematics. In this context, there is a need for a program that enables the majority students who regards mathematics as a subject for the entrance examination to recognize the practicality and historicity of mathematics. Educational books on mathematics in everyday life or the history of mathematics are also expected to serve as an effective tool. In addition, Web 2.0 Map is another means of representing mathematics in everyday life and the history of mathematics in connection with the practical context. The active storytelling process in which mathematics in the practical context in mathematical educational books is represented in Web 2.0 Map is expected to help to understand in depth the practicality and historicity of mathematics. Nevertheless, mathematical educational books and Web 2.0 Map may lead to a considerable variety of outcomes and speeds if carrying out tasks depending on the student's competence and may have practical difficulties in being operated in class. These concerns, however, can be resolved through the creative activity programs adopted in conformance with the 2009 revised curriculum. Therefore, this study intends to develop a program for creating mathematical story maps through mathematical educational books and the Mashup of Web 2.0 Map in accordance with the process of developing activity programs. This study also intends to determine its effectiveness in enabling students to recognize the practical and historical values of mathematics.
