  • Data on the oil spill recovery from the water surface by light floating electromagnetic plants using a new magnetic adsorbent are given. The feasibility scope for further oil recovery from such gathered mixtures(oil+adsorbent), reuse of this magnetic adsorbent and its properly reclaiming and recycling were shown. The basic conception of the oil spill recovery and efficiency of this method were set forth.

실증운전을 통한 배가스 열회수 히트펌프 시스템의 성능 분석 (Analysis of Performance of Heat Pump System with Flue Gas Heat Recovery through Field Test)

  • A field test of a 70 kW heat pump system with flue gas heat recovery was performed by an experiment at the Korea Institute of Energy Research. The flue gas is exhausted from a 320 RT absorption chiller-heater in the heating season. Using this flue gas, source water of the heat pump is heated by a condensed-type heat exchanger in the chimney. The operating characteristics of the heat recovery heat pump system were analyzed. Based on the results of the experiments, operating maps were obtained, and an optimum operating range is suggested, in which the return and heat source water temperature are $51^{\circ}C$ and $31^{\circ}C$, respectively. Additionally, economic analysis of this system was conducted and about 50% energy cost savings can be expected in the heating season.

백색 LED 조사의 상처 수복 효과 (Wound Recovery of Light Irradiation by White LED)

  • Light can be divided into ultraviolet rays, visible rays, and infrared rays depending on the wavelengths. Visible rays with specific wavelength are those predominantly used for would treatment. Especially low level laser irradiates into cells, effectively stimulating cellular tissues and activating cellular function. This study was intended to verify the effect of white LED irradiation therapy on wound recovery in animal tests by applying white LED irradiator, which was independently designed and developed to emit beams of similar wavelength to that of a laser. The designed LED Irradiator was used to find out how white LED light source affected the skin wound of SD-Rat(Sprague-Dawley Rat). We divided the participants into two groups; white LED irradiation group which was irradiated 1 hour a day for 9 consecutive days, and none irradiation group. The results showed that the study group had lower incidence of inflammation and faster recovery, compared with the control group.

  • Generally, a diode package consists of the synthetic resin that has good durability but low thermal conductivity. The surface mounted type fast recovery diode was fabricated by using ceramic package. Its main manufacture processes are composed of soldering, sillicon coating and side termination. And it has various advantages that diode is small, easy manufacture and fast cooling. The electric characteristics of the diode such as reverse recovery time, breakdown voltage, forward voltage, and leakage current were 5.28 ns, 1322 V, 1.08 V, $0.45\;{\mu}A$, respectively.

  • Lifetime control technique by proton implantation has become an useful tool for production of modern power devices. In this work, punch-through type diodes were irradiated with protons for the high speed power diode fabrication. Proton irradiation which was capable of controlling carrier's lifetime locally was carried out at the various energy and dose conditions. Characterization of the device was performed by current-voltage, capacitance-voltage and reverse recovery time measurement. We obtained enhanced reverse recovery time characteristics which was about $45\;\%$ of original device reverse recovery time and about $73\;\%$ of electron irradiated device reverse recovery time. The measurement results showed that proton irradiation technique was able to effectively reduce minority carrier lifetime without degrading the other characteristics.

  • 텅스텐은 고융점금속으로 주로 초경합금으로 사용되고 있다. 알칼리용액에서 텅스텐은 $WO{_4}^{2-}$로 존재하는데 용액의 pH가 감소함에 따라 중합반응이 일어나며 텅스텐산으로 침전된다. 따라서 원광석 및 2차 자원으로부터 텅스텐 회수를 위한 습식 제련 기술은 산침출과 알칼리침출로 대별된다. 2차 자원에 함유된 금속의 종류와 함유량 및 텅스텐의 소재화를 고려해서 2차 자원으로부터 텅스텐을 고순도로 회수하기 위한 공정을 선택해야 한다.

물로 가수분해된 섬유성 기질로부터 hemicellulose 회수 (Hemicellulose Recovery from Lignocellulosic Material Hydrolyzed by Water)

  • 섬유성 기질을 물 가수분해하여 생긴 당을 최대한 회수하는 여러 회수방법을 조사하였다. 사용한 전처리 조건은 반응온도가 $170\~180^{\circ}C$, 반응시간이 1시간이었다. 반응 온도가 170에서 $180^{\circ}C$로 증가함에 따라 xylan의 용해율은 증가하지만 $180^{\circ}C$ 이상에서는 상당양의 당이 분해됨을 알 수 있었다. 가수분해 결과로부터 남은 고체기질과 당화액에서 얻은 당의 물질수지를 조사하였는데 glucan의 경우는 비교적 잘 맞으나, 헤미셀룰로오스는 처리되지 않은 기질에 포함된 초기양과 비교할 때 상당한 차이가 났다. 그래서 여러가지 회수방법을 고안하여 당의 물질수지를 조사한 결과 회수기간동안 열을 가하거나 초음파를 조사하는 방법과 같은 물리적인 자극을 주면 액상에서 헤미셀룰로오스 회수율이 증가되는 것이 확인되었다. 이런 사실로부터 당 회수시 기질이 크고 전처리 후 침출용매를 많이 사용할 수 없는 상업적인 공정의 경우 상당양의 올리고당이 고체기공내 갇혀 액상으로 회수되지 못할 것으로 생각된다.

  • 최근, 인쇄회로기판 제조공정으로부터 유가자원을 회수하고자 하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 인쇄회로기판의 드릴가공 받침대로 사용한 후 폐기되는 백보드 소재활용과 소형화, 고 신뢰성화에 따른 유가금속인 금 회수가 필수적이다. 특히 이동통신용 전자부품의 핵심소재로 사용되는 인쇄회로기판부품에는 최소 0.03 ${\mu}m$에서부터 최대 50 ${\mu}m$ 두께로 금이 도금되어 있다. 금, 원자재, 약품 값 폭등으로 생산현장의 유가자원 활용이 중요한 과제로 대두되면서 유가자원 활용을 위한 경쟁이 가속화되는 추세다. 본고에서는 인쇄회로기판 제조공정에서 발생하는 폐백보드 및 금의 회수에 대한 기술동향을 제공함으로써 유가자원 활용 산업발전에 기여하고자 하였다.
