Since seagrasses are highly productive and provide a source of organic carbon for a wide variety of marine organisms in coastal and estuarine ecosystem, accurate assessment of seagrass production is critical to understand the functions and values of seagrasses in these ecosystems. Zieman's leaf marking technique has been mostly used to estimate seagrass leaf production rates. However, inherent problems on the traditional leaf marking technique have been discussed by the several researchers, and these problems can cause underestimation of seagrass production. To develop an accurate and reliable assessing method for seagrass production, production rates of eelgrass, Zostera marina in three bay systems on the south coast of the Korean peninsula were estimated using the conventional leaf marking technique and the plastochrone method. The plastochrone method has been recently suggested as an effective method for reliable assessments of seagrass production. In the present study, leaf production rates estimated by the plastochrone method were significantly higher than the rates derived from the traditional leaf marking technique. Annual eelgrass leaf production assessed using the leaf marking technique was about 65 to 89% of the estimated production using the plastochrone method. The differences in annual productions between assessment techniques imply that the conventional leaf marking technique significantly underestimated eelgrass leaf production. Total eelgrass productions estimated using the plastochrone method in the present study sites were about 600 to 806 g DW $m^{-2} y^{-l}$, and below-ground production accounted for about 20 to 23% of the total production. The plastochrone method was suggested to be an effective and accurate assessing method for eelgrass production.
Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is a preventive technique in reliability management field. The successful implementation of FMEA technique can avoid or reduce the probability of system failure and achieve good product quality. The FMEA technique had applied in vest scopes which include aerospace, automatic, electronic, mechanic and service industry. The marking process is one of the back ends testing process that is the final process in semiconductor process. The marking process failure can cause bad final product quality and return although is not a primary process. So, how to improve the quality of marking process is one of important production job for semiconductor testing factory. This research firstly implements FMEA technique in laser marking process improvement on semiconductor testing factory and finds out which subsystem has priority failure risk. Secondly, a CCD position solution for priority failure risk subsystem is provided and evaluated. According analysis result, FMEA and CCD position implementation solution for laser marking process improvement can increase yield rate and reduce production cost. Implementation method of this research can provide semiconductor testing factory for reference in laser marking process improvement.
Marking is a process that engraves letters or a pattern onto the surface of sheet metal. During marking, it is important to set the proper working conditions for clarity of the letters. In this study a simple case for forming circular protrusions by half-piercing and embossing was initially attempted to determine the working conditions which gave good results with respect to shape accuracy. Corner-radius and flatness of circular protrusions made under several experimental conditions were measured and compared. It is shown that the precision of protrusions by half-piercing is superior to that of embossing, and the clearance between punch and die exerts a strong influence on the shape accuracy rather than the penetration percentage into the thickness of the sheet metal. The marking dies for "SNUT" letters, as an example, by applying the above results were manufactured with four different clearances. The working variables for the experiment were clearance and marking depth. For the very shallow depth of 0.1mm the letters were not clearly read. Letters marked under other conditions were easily distinguished with increasing marking depth. It was confirmed that the half-piercing technique with proper values of the working variables gives good quality for the marking of sheet metal.
This paper presents a GCP marking technique using scanned maps. Twelve maps with a scale of 1:250, 000 were scanned and stored as raster images. The distortion factors of scanned maps were modelled by polynomials. The coefficients of the polynomials were determined by a least squre fit. This technique does not require a bulky and expensive digitizing table so that it is suitable for a low-cost pre-processing system. The GCP marking using this technique showed a sufficient accuracy for KITSAT1, 2 narrow camera images.
Adding a non-fluorescent dye, Rhodamine-B, to the adult diet of uzi fly, Exorista bombysis (Louis) has shown to be a useful method for marking the eggs for flight range experiments. The method is timesaving and the dye is safe to handle and the marked eggs are easy to detect. Files fed on the diet added with dye did not have much negative effect on adult mortality and fecundity, but egg hatchability was affected.
We employed home-made position marking module in the scanning Hall probe system. The module is composed of two coils of which gap, a, between wires in a coil is $500{\mu}m$. We appiled 10-35mA of current with 15Hz in the coils and recorded ac corresponding magnetic field signal with respect to measuring time while we measured DC field profiles produced due to superconducting film in a perpendicular magnetic field. We calibrate the position, x, of coils using the measuring time and location of the coils in the holder. The error range was about ${\pm}0.1mm$. We test the module as we applied current of 100A and filed of 1kG in the superconducting tape. It was confirmed that there was no interference between superconducting tape and marking coils.

Lane marking detection is essential to both ITS and DAS systems. The objective of this paper is to provide more robust technique for lane marking detection than traditional techniques by using scale-space technique. Variable thresholding that is based on the local statistics may be very effective for detecting such objects as lane markings that have prominent intensities. However, such techniques that only rely on local statistics have limitations containing irrelevant areas as well. We reduce the candidate areas by combining the variable thresholding result with cost-efficient horizontal 1D LoG filtered scale space. Through experiments using practical images, we could achieve significant improvement over the techniques based not only on the variable thresholding but also on the Hough transform that is another very popular technique for this purpose.
The Tunneling Technique has been developing highly in Japan. Induced NATM pattern is ap-plied as it-self but is an apportunity to upgrade technologes of Concernning. As a result, Nonnel system as Laser marking system is significant developed result. Japan-Korea Tunnel leasing by international High way project is regarded hope-full for the world peace. It has described Euro-Tunnel too.

SPC is the quality improvement technique of gathering since Motorola of U.S.A. have used SPC technique as a statistical process control method for promoting 6-sigma quality improvement strategy in 1988. In Korea, small and medium-sized enterprises are needed building of a system for statistical production control . In the present study, the methods of building SPC system with a moderate cost using a graphic programs of easy-to-use and high flexibility for small and medium-sized enterprises were inquired. The SPC system which enables statistic marking (maximum, minimum, mean, standard deviation, process capability index) and graph marking (X-Y coordinates and histogram) using LabVIEW 5.0, the graphic program by National Instrument Co., Ltd. was implemented in this study.

In order to improve the nighttime visibility of the lane, the need for the development of the automated line marking equipment is on the rise. The purpose of this study is to suggest performance assessment methodology that can be assessed from various aspects such as productivity, safety and quality performance of line marking equipment and to comprehensively analyze the performance of hand-operated and automated equipment based on field test. The following shows the results. It suggested a methodology capable of analyzing the performance of the line marking equipment in terms of productivity, safety and quality. Automated equipment for line marking was analyzed that can be obtained productivity achievement rate of 156.3% as compared with hand-operated equipment. On the basis of the expert advise and literature review, we derived twelve safety factors and ten quality factors of unit work in line marking. By utilizing the AHP technique, we estimated the importance of safety and quality factors. Automated equipment for line marking was analyzed to have been able to expect safety improvement rate of 49.8% and quality improvement rate of 47.2%. It is expected that the performance assessment methodology suggested in this study will be useful in analyzing objective and quantitative validity and expected effectiveness of the line marking equipment.
