The Design, Implementation, and Evaluation of Social Marketing Campaigns in Nutrition

  • Over the past two decades in the United States, social marketing has become an increasingly popular means of delivering nutrition education for the purpose of eliciting a specific behavior change. This manuscript defines social marketing via traditional marketing concepts and jargon, as well as through a communications strategy that can be used to guide message and campaign development. Research and evaluation strategies necessary to support the development and assessment of campaign promotions, is discussed. Four campaigns implemented in the United States, and one campaign implemented in Indonesia, are discussed in terms of the strategies presented. These campaigns illustrate how this educational technique and an array of assessment approaches have been applied to varied nutritional issues across diverse target audiences and settings. Practical recommendations, as well as discussion of issues regarding the advantages and disadvantages of using social marketing as an educational strategy, campaign sustainability, and philosophical considerations regarding the use of this educational approach, are addressed.

위탁급식전문업체의 내부마케팅 전략에 관한 효과분석 (The Effects of Internal Marketing Activities by Contracted Food Service Management Company)

  • 본 연구는 위탁급식전문업체의 내부마케팅 활동에 대한 실태를 조사하고, 또한 현재 수행하고 있는 내부마케팅 전략의 효과를 분석하고자 하였고, 조사는 위탁급식전문업체 10곳(대기업 6곳, 중소기업 4곳)을 대상으로 2002년 10월 12일부터 11월 2일까지 수행되었다. 내부마케팅 전략에 대한 효과 즉 중요도 및 수행도 조사결과, 중요도는 높으나 수행도가 낮았으며 위탁급식전문업체에서 중점을 두어야 할 항목은 휴직제도와 고충처리제도였다. 내부마케팅 전략에 대한 중요도 분석결과, 직급(점장, 영양사, 조리사)에 따라 내부마케팅 유형별로 유의적인 차이를 보이지는 않았지만, 서비스 교육과 위생교육, 정기면담제도, 우수사원 포상제도, 성과급지급, 휴일근무수당지급, 직책수당지급, MBO실시 항목에서 직급 간에 유의적인 차이를 보였다. 기업규모에 따라서는 내부마케팅 유형중 휴가제도에서 대기업과 중소기업간의 유의적인 차이 가 있는 것으로 나타났고 나머지 유형은 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 내부마케팅 세부항목중 유의적인 차이를 보인 항목은 외부위탁 교육후 실적반영, 병가, 권한위임에 대한 항목들이었고, 중요도에 대한 평균점수는 중소기업 종사원들이 대기업 종사원들에 비해 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 교육수준에 따라서는 내부마케팅 유형 중 교육제도와 보상제도 부분에서 유의적인 차이를 보였고 교육수준이 낮을수록 내부마케팅 전략에 대한 중요도 인식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 내부마케팅 전략에 대한 수행도 분석 결과, 직급에 따라서는 내부마케팅 유형중 교육제도, 휴가제도, 보상제도, 복리후생제도 부분에서 유의적인 차이가 나타났고, 직급간의 수행도 인식에 대한 평균점수는 점장, 조리사, 영양사군의 순으로 나타나 영양사군에서 수행도에 대한 인식이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 기업규모에 따라서는 내부마케팅 모든 유형에서 대기업과 중소기업간에 유의적인 차이를 보였고, 대기업에서 가장 수행도가 떨어지는 유형은 커뮤니케이션이었고, 중소기업은 복리후생 부분이었으며, 아직까지는 중소위탁급식전문업체가 대기업에 비해서 내부마케팅 전략의 수행도가 많이 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 위탁급식전문업체는 기업규모별로 종사원들의 특성에 따른 요구도를 분석하여 세분화된 내부마케팅 전략을 기획하는 것이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

  • 본 연구는 온라인 쇼핑몰 사업자들이 쉽게 창업하지만 반면에 쉽게 폐업을 선택하는 부분에 대한 원인과 그 해결방안을 모색하는 데에서 출발하였다. 인터넷 보급이 빠른 한국의 상황에서 온라인 쇼핑몰 사업은 충분히 메리트가 있다고 사료되며, 창업을 성공하는 사업자의 특징을 강화해 나갈 수만 있다면 창공 성공률을 높이고 반면에 실패율을 줄일 수 있다는 의견에서 출발하였다. 인터넷 쇼핑몰 교육 전문가들이 모여 회의를 하는 자리에서 쇼핑몰 창업자들이 지속적으로 사업을 유지할 수 있는 방안이 무엇인가에 대한 심도 깊은 논의를 하였다. 쇼핑몰 전문가들의 많은 의견을 종합적으로 정리한 결과 각 기업들의 마케팅 역량을 강화해야 한다는 결론을 도출하게 되었다. 또한, 창업교육의 중요성이 대두 되었다. 그 중에서도 마케팅 믹스에 대한 역량의 강화가 기업의 성공과 실패를 좌우하는 중요한 요인이 된다는 결론을 도출하게 되었다. 그렇다면 마케팅 4P중 어떤 요인이 창업성공에 가장 영향을 많이 미치는가에 대한 의문을 계기로 본 연구를 본격적으로 시작하게 되었다. 그리고 창업교육의 영향력에 대한 부분도 함께 연구하기로 결정하였다. 연구 결과, 독립변수인 마케팅믹스 역량은 종속변수인 창업성공에 유의적인 정(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며 특히 4P중 제품믹스의 영향이 창업성공에 유의적인 것으로 나타났다.

대전.청주지역 의류유통산업 종사자들의 관련 교과목 필요도에 대한 인식 (Needs for the Educational Subjects of Practitioners in Apparel Distribution Industry in Taejon and Chongju)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the needs for the educational subjects of practitioners in apparel distribution industry and to examine the relationship between the needs and their socio-demographic variables. And it was intended to be used as basic data to develop the curriculum for continuing education in university. The subjects were consisted of 473 practitioners in apparel distribution industries in Taejon and Chongju. A questionnaire was used and classified into seven areas--basic area textile science, design, clothing construction, fashion marketing theory, fashion marketing practice and business management. Descriptive analysis, t-test and ANOVA were used for statistical analyses. The results of this study were as follows: First, the educational needs of subjects by practitioners were in the following order: 1)fashion marketing practice, 2)design, 3)fashion marketing theory, 4)business management, 5)clothing construction, 6)textile science, 7)basic area. Second, the educational needs of subjects by practitioners were also related to their socio-demographic variables like educational background, work area, type of market, total work experience, years in present job, and the role. It was implied that subject areas like fashion marketing and design with theory and practice we of most importance for practitioners in apparel distribution industry. Therefore, a university curriculum of continuing education for them should take into account of those factors mentioned above.

Comparative Profitability of Women Dominated Fish-based Livelihood Activities in Southwest, Nigeria

  • Women are more disadvantaged than men in many fronts and this confines them to informal sector livelihood activities. Any attempt to improve women's economic status will require information on the organization, cost and returns to investment in the livelihood activities in which they predominate. This is the issue for this study which compared yield performance in artisanal fishing and fresh fish marketing. Primary data collected through multi-stage sampling method were analyzed using inferential statistics, budgeting and regression models. Empirical findings revealed that about 75.0% of fisher folks either had no formal education or acquired only primary school education while 50.0% of marketers had secondary school education. The budgeting model revealed fisher-folks' and marketers' annual net profit to be N2,882,626.00 and N640,227.00, respectively. Profit from fishing was significantly higher than that of fish marketing. At 53.2% for fishing and 40.3% for marketing, returns to investment was better in fishing. Regression model results showed the significant factors influencing returns to each livelihood strategy to include fishing ground, distance covered and years of experience. The major constraint faced by operators of both livelihoods groups was insufficient credit. Despite this, the livelihood strategies were shown to be profitable ventures which contributed to households' consumption expenditure. Organizing women informal sector operators into groups to enhance access to government support and formal credit are recommended for improving livelihood strategy performance.

한국고용직업분류에 의한 수해양산업의 직업분류에 관한 연구 (A Study on Standard Classification of Fisheries Occupation by KECO)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify the standard classification of fishery occupations base on KECO(Korean Employment Classification of Occupation) in Korea. The result of this study was as follows. First ranks was fisheries duties, second ranks were classified into five categories. That were administration duties management duties financial affairs duties, social service duties marketing duties individual service duties, construction duties civil engineering duties, machinery duties manufacture duties repairing duties, production duties. Third ranks classify based on second ranks. Administration duties management duties financial affairs duties were classified fishery administration, fishery management, fishery financial affairs. Social service duties marketing duties individual service duties were classified fishery social service, fishery marketing, fishery individual service. Construction duties civil engineering duties were classified fishery construction, fishery civil engineering. Machinery duties manufacture duties repairing duties were classified fishery machinery duties, fishery manufacture, fishery repairing. Production duties were classified fishery processing, marine products, fishery environment. Fourth ranks was classified according to third ranks.

Development of Market Distribution through Digital Marketing Transformation Trends to Maximize Sales Turnover for Traditional Beverage Products

  • Purpose: The research aims to investigate the development of market distribution through digital marketing transformation trends with the support of universities. This development strategy is to maximize sales turnover of limited liability companies' typical traditional beverage products. Research design, data, and methodology: The research design uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data were obtained by participatory observation, in-depth interviews, FGDs, and documentation. Results: The result shows that the partner's traditional product market distribution strategy has been carried out by adopting science and technology and expertise possessed by partner universities. Universities that are Partners have benefited from the implementation of the Independent Campus program. Conclusions: The conclusion from the findings is that business actors must collaborate with universities through the Kedaireka Matchmaking Fund Program. The collaboration will create the right strategy development for the business. The government needs to provide more access to finance in the future. The hope is that the traditional beverage industry and higher education can realize the ease of synergy contributing to national development and the vision of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture's independent campus.

구글 애널리틱스를 활용한 대학 입시 홈페이지 웹로그 분석 (Weblog Analysis of University Admissions Website using Google Analytics)

  • 학령인구의 급격한 감소로 입시 경쟁이 치열해지고 디지털 채널을 통한 마케팅이 더욱 중요해지면서 대학은 신입생 모집을 위해 온라인 홍보와 소통에 더 많은 리소스를 투자하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 웹로그 분석도구인 구글 애널리틱스를 활용하여 대학 입시 홈페이지의 방문자 행동을 추적하고, 이를 기반으로 디지털 마케팅 전략을 수립하였다. 분석 대상 기간은 구글 애널리틱스4(GA4)가 통합된 2023년 7월 1일부터 대학 입시가 마무리된 2024년 1월 10일까지 설정하였다. 분석 결과 방문자의 접속 위치에 기반한 지리적 정보, 방문자가 사용한 기기(운영체제) 및 브라우저, 방문자들의 트래픽을 통한 유입 채널, 방문자가 참여한 페이지 및 화면의 전환, 방문자의 이동 흐름 등 흥미로운 패턴을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 대학은 디지털 마케팅을 통한 입시 홍보를 강화하고 입학 지원자들과 효과적인 소통을 통해 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있는 방안을 찾을 것으로 기대한다.

Preference Attributes of Foreign Infant Education Materials: Focused on Brand, Service, Distribution

  • Purpose - There is little research on the market of foreign infant education materials. So, it is needed to deeply examine the development and preference factors of foreign infant education materials. Therefore, this study presents a future method and model for analyzing the important variables of buying foreign infant education materials. Research design, data, and methodology - The conjoint analysis method and model of this paper is used as follows. Conjoint analysis method is possible to derive the attributes to be analyzed through the model of the preferred factors, and then to derive the sub-attributes of the attributes. Results - This study derived preference attributes between brand benefit, equity (brand image, loyalty, awareness), distribution network (department store, specialty stores, discount store, internet mall), and service quality (tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy) in infant education materials conjoint model. Conclusions - Since the opening of the education market in Korea, parents have a high education level due to low birth rate. The advantages of the conjoint analysis method have been extended to the study of infant education materials. Based on this, this paper will identify important attributes that are considered in preference of foreign infant education materials and help to establish and implement future marketing strategies.
