  • It is said that China's maritime organizations are large-scaled and complicated things, so-called 5 dragons in Chinese ocean. Therefore that has caused several matters and inefficiency in many maritime fields. However Chinese leaders have acknowledged the importance of ocean and have pursued consistent policy in their ocean, for example, 5.11 project, national ocean development plan etc, As a neighbouring country contrasting with China on Yellow Sea, Korea shall study China's ocean policy and their features in maritime organization in order to prepare for the intense competition in future at sea.

  • This study proposes a deep reinforcement learning-based algorithm to automatically generate a ship's passage plan. First, Busan Port and Gwangyang Port were selected as target areas, and a container ship with a draft of 16m was designated as the target vessel. The experimental results showed that the ship's passage plan generated using deep reinforcement learning was more efficient than the Q-learning-based algorithm used in previous research. This algorithm presents a method to generate a ship's passage plan automatically and can contribute to improving maritime safety and efficiency.

  • Recently, as a number of accidents occur while berthing ships, the need for safety measures for ship operation in ports is emphasized. In order to quantitatively analyze the contents of safety measures in Busan New Port, this study collected ship trajectory data,, and based on this data, applied a maritime artificial intelligence algorithm to analyze the trajectory pattern. As a result, the waypoint of the ship arriving and departing Busan New Port was derived and the operation pattern of the ship's speed and course was proposed.

  • This paper intended to find rational alternatives for contracting-out of duties of the Busan port Pier Management Corporation. tint is facing the merger and abolition, and whose main functions include the management of port facilities such as International Passenger Terminal, Cruise Terminal, and Coast Passenger Terminal. For this purpose. the paper searched appropriate term, needs (merits), proper scope and cost if the contracting-out of that port facilities. The result of the analysis indicated that the best policy is to privatize the Busan port Pier Management Corporation itself to make it an private incorporated company.

  • Transshipment cargo volume in 2010 compared to 1st quarter 2011 increased 8.43 percent of busan port for transshipment of cargo. thus transshipment of cargo is growing among, south east container terminals and Horando area of new port is planing to develop using small dock for the operations in order to enable. therefore, this study is to deduce implications for operating activation about 6 berths of feeder port in pusan new port that is planing to develop with dock that could be docked very large container ships and feeder dock that could be handled transshipment of cargo.

  • In this paper, we propose a row warehouse type container yard (WTCY) which deal with the excess of port´s container capacity in 2004 instead of using the Yangsan inland container depot (ICD) in Pusan container terminals. Because the off dock container yard (ODCY) which located in Pusan port around exceeds the port´s capacity in 2004, the Yansan ICD will be used for handling an overflowed amount of containers. But there are need an amount of extra expense includes social overhead capital (SOC) to transports containers to Yangsan ICD. To overcome this problem, a WTCY which can be handled the container in each floors is proposed. The proposed WTCY can be located in container terminal ...
