The objective of this paper is to quickly examine the prosperity of a marine transportation system ana port development in the Han river Estuary and Yellow Sea border areas and to establish a cooperative management plan for the development of marine transportation and port service for cargo transportation in Seoul. as well as between South Korea and North Korea. Specifically. a development plan with a sincere effort to preserve the environment surrounding Marine Peace Park. The intent is to prove that prosperity is possible through the development of marine transportation and port service.

The major trade area of the South Korea is divided into Asia, America and Europe. Generally, marine transportation is the main method of mass cargo transportation, but unlike others, rail transportation is available in the Europe area. Also, as a result of China's growth, South Korea's position as northeast Asia logistics hub has weakened. That is the reason why we need to pay attention to rail transportation, an alternative competitive structure. In accordance with this background, this study focuses on analyzing economic feasibility comparing transportation routes to Europe using Trans-Korea Railway and Trans-Siberia Railway. Factors of analysis are transportation distance, period, cost and additional cost As the result, considering economic feasibility, TKR-TSR route(Route1) is the best transportation approach for six routes. Therefore, using TKR-TSR railway will be the best way to increase nation's competitiveness, in response to Russia government's far-east development strategy.

Marine traffics near Ulsan approaching waters are crossing and converged at the diverging point of No.1 route- No.2 route and No.1 route -No.3 route and are also concentrated at near No1. route approaching area and the headland of cape Gawnjeol. Because the number of berth will increase to 78 from 49 until 2011 due to additional developments, minor modification is expected for the water utilities. This study examined environmental conditions, marine accidental data, marine traffic capacity, traffic flow survery and fisheries zone status near Ulsan approaching water area. Finally, a questionaire survey was carried ou for experts and users to propose new plan.

The high tech marine transportation infrastructure is an innovative transportation infrastructure that may be able to secure a safe transportation environment as well as efficient operation by connecting up-to-date skills including a broad range of wire and wireless communication-based information, control and electronics technologies. When integrated into the marine transportation infrastructure by the standard requirements, these standard technologies help monitoring and managing navigational aids. This paper defined a concept of middleware in the marine traffic management systems which gives characteristics of system independency, scalability, extensibility, and researches a functionality of the middleware and a software block of the middleware.

In the present maritime traffic conditions of Gwangyang harbor, there exists many hazardous factors which may lead to huge accidents including marine oil pollution. To mitigate the danger to vessels in Gwangyang harbor and to secure the safety of maritime environment, we established one way traffic between No.3 Route and No.4 Route, Designed of deep water line on No.3 route, Extended one-way route for Myo-Do Passage etc.

The navigation area approach to Mokpo port consists of narrow channels with 30mile section, and the route is crossed with many fairways. In particular, fairway routeing except Mokpogu is not assigned and there are many threatening factors against the safe operation of vessel because fishing and mining areas are designated. Therefore, this paper proposed elements for safe passage through a marine traffic environmental assessment with the analysis of surrounding environment, dangerous elements, traffic survey and marine casualty.

In international trade, transportation generally has the largest and direct impact on freight costs. However, it is also sensitive to external factors such as global economic conditions, global trade volume and exchange rate. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the relationship and influence of international trade in terms of external factors that affect the change of imports and exports by marine and air transportation through empirical analysis. In particular, the analysis of the impact of these external factors on marine and air transportation is an important topic when recent exchange rate changes are significant, and it is also necessary to analyze what transportation means are more sensitive to exchange rate changes. In this study, we use the Vector Error Correction Model to analyze the dynamic effects of changes in exchange rate and domestic and international economic conditions on marine and air transportation from January 2000 to March 2017. Respectively. Alos, Impulse response function and variance decomposition were examined.

Mongolia is aiming at connect and expand global trade to third countries using Russia, China and East Asian ports. Also, trying to evolve infrastructure and super-frastructure in international maritime transportation. This paper presents maritime development trends in Mongolia and focuses on discussing the current situation of international maritime plan and points out some issues currently facing by the policy to develop promoting the country's maritime businesses. Finally, this paper presents some future directions for developing the maritime transportation in Mongolia.
