Map Labeling for Collinear Sites (동일선상 위치들에 대한 지도 레이블링)

  • In a map, placing the labels, corresponding to names or explanations of specific features, is called map labeling. In this paper, n points on a line are given, and placing rectangular labels for the points is considered. Particularly, the labels have a same height and their lower sides lie on a straight line in the upper of the line on which the given points are. The points and the labels are connected by polygonal lines, which are called leader lines. The leader lines are classified into straight leader lines and bended leader lines, where the straight leader line consists of only the vertical line and the bended leader line consists of vertical, horizontal, vertical lines. The problem is placing the labels to minimize the number of bended leader lines, and we propose an O(nlogn)-time algorithm, which improves the O(n2)-time algorithm previously provided in [13].

  • In this paper, an efficient core point detection method using orientation pattern labeling is proposed in fingerprint image. The core point, which is one of the singular points in fingerprint image, is used as the reference point in the most fingerprint recognizing system. Therefore, the detection of the core point is the most essential step of the fingerprint recognizing system, it can affect in the whole system performance. The proposed method could detect the position of the core point by applying the labeling method for the directional pattern which is come from the distribution of the ridges in fingerprint image and applying detailed algorithms for the decision of the core point's position. The simulation result of proposed method is better than the result of Poincare index method and the sine map method in executing time and detecting rate. Especially, the Poincare index method can't detect the core point in the detection of the arch type and the sine map method takes too much times for executing. But the proposed method can overcome these problems.

  • Let G be a (p, q) graph. Let f be a map from V (G) to {1, 2, ${\ldots}$, p}. For each edge uv, assign the label ${\mid}f(u)-f(\nu){\mid}$. f is called a difference cordial labeling if f is a one to one map and ${\mid}e_f(0)-e_f(1){\mid}{\leq}1$ where $e_f(1)$ and $e_f(0)$ denote the number of edges labeled with 1 and not labeled with 1 respectively. A graph with admits a difference cordial labeling is called a difference cordial graph. In this paper, we investigate the difference cordial labeling behavior of triangular snake, Quadrilateral snake, double triangular snake, double quadrilateral snake and alternate snakes.

For each edge uv, assign the label gcd(f(u), f(v)). f is called k-Total prime cordial labeling of G if ${\mid}t_f(i)-t_f(j){\mid}{\leq}1$, $i,j{\in}\{1,2,{\ldots},k\}$ where $t_f$(x) denotes the total number of vertices and the edges labelled with x. A graph with a k-total prime cordial labeling is called k-total prime cordial graph. In this paper we investigate the 4-total prime cordial labeling of some graphs.

For each edge uv, assign the label |f(u) - f(v)|. f is called k-total difference cordial labeling of G if |tdf (i) - tdf (j) | ≤ 1, i, j ∈ {0, 1, 2, …, k - 1} where tdf (x) denotes the total number of vertices and the edges labeled with x. A graph with admits a k-total difference cordial labeling is called k-total difference cordial graphs. In this paper we investigate the 4-total difference cordial labeling behaviour of shell butterfly graph, Lilly graph, Shackle graphs etc..

  • In this paper we introduce a new graph labeling called k-prime cordial labeling. Let G be a (p, q) graph and 2 ≤ p ≤ k. Let f : V (G) → {1, 2, . . . , k} be a map. For each edge uv, assign the label gcd (f(u), f(v)). f is called a k-prime cordial labeling of G if |vf (i) − vf (j)| ≤ 1, i, j ∈ {1, 2, . . . , k} and |ef (0) − ef (1)| ≤ 1 where vf (x) denotes the number of vertices labeled with x, ef (1) and ef (0) respectively denote the number of edges labeled with 1 and not labeled with 1. A graph with a k-prime cordial labeling is called a k-prime cordial graph. In this paper we investigate the k-prime cordial labeling behavior of a star and we have proved that every graph is a subgraph of a k-prime cordial graph. Also we investigate the 3-prime cordial labeling behavior of path, cycle, complete graph, wheel, comb and some more standard graphs.

  • 지문영상의 특이점(Singularities) 중의 하나인 Core Point는 대부분의 지문인증 시스템에서 기준점(Reference Point)으로 사용되고 있다. 또한 Core Point의 검출은 전체 지문인증 시스템의 가장 기본적인 단계로서 전체 시스템의 성능에 많은 영향을 준다. 본 논문에서는 지문 영상의 방향 패턴(Orientation Pattern)과 이의 리레이블링(Re-labeling)을 이용한 Core Point 검출 방법을 제안하고, 기존의 Poincare Index를 이용하는 방법 및 Sine Map을 이응한 방법과 비교, 분석하였다.

Efficient 3D Scene Labeling using Object Detectors & Location Prior Maps (물체 탐지기와 위치 사전 확률 지도를 이용한 효율적인 3차원 장면 레이블링)

  • In this paper, we present an effective system for the 3D scene labeling of objects from RGB-D videos. Our system uses a Markov Random Field (MRF) over a voxel representation of the 3D scene. In order to estimate the correct label of each voxel, the probabilistic graphical model integrates both scores from sliding window-based object detectors and also from object location prior maps. Both the object detectors and the location prior maps are pre-trained from manually labeled RGB-D images. Additionally, the model integrates the scores from considering the geometric constraints between adjacent voxels in the label estimation. We show excellent experimental results for the RGB-D Scenes Dataset built by the University of Washington, in which each indoor scene contains tabletop objects.

A Depth Creation Method Using Frequency Based Focus/Defocus Analysis In Image (영상에서 주파수 기반의 초점/비초점 분석을 이용한 깊이 지도 생성 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient detph map creation method using Graph Cut and Discrete Wavelet Transform. First, we have segmented the original image by using Graph Cut to process with its each areas. After that, the information which describes segmented areas of original image have been created by proposed labeling method for segmented areas. And then, we have created four subbands which contain the original image's frequency information. Finally, the depth map have been created by frequency map which made with HH, HL subbands and depth information calculation along the each segmented areas. The proposed method can perform efficient depth map creation process because of dynamic allocation using depth information. We also have tested the proposed method using PSNR(Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) method to evaluate ours.

Phoneme Classification using the Modified LVQ2 Algorithm (수정된 LVQ2 알고리즘을 이용한 음소분류)

  • 패턴매칭 기법에 근거한 음성 인식 시스템은 크게 clustering 과정과 labeling 과정으로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 Kohonen의 featrue map 알고리즘과 LVQ2 알고리즘을 각각 clusterer와 labeler로 하는 음소인식 시스템을 구성한다. 구성된 인식시스템의 성능을 향상시키기 위해서 수정된 LVQ2알고리즘(MLVQ2)을 제안한다. MLVQ2는 selective learning, LVQ2, perturbed LVQ2 그리고 기존의 LVQ2의 4단계 학습과정으로 구성된다. 제안된 음소 인식 알고리즘의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 LVQ2와 MLVQ2를 각각 사용하여 6가지의 한국어 음소군에 대한 feature map을 만든다. 음소인식 실험결과, LVQ2와 MLVQ2를 사용하는 경우 각각 60.5%와 65.4%의 인식률을 얻을 수 있었다.
