We present a 1.1mm emission map of the OMC1 region observed with AzTEC, a new large-format array composed of 144 silicon-nitride micromesh bolometers, that was in use at the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT). These AzTEC observations reveal dozens of cloud cores and a tail of filaments in a manner that is almost identical to the submillimeter continuum emission of the entire OMC1 region at 450 and $850{\mu}m$. We perform Fourier analysis of the image with a modified periodogram and the density power spectrum, which provides the distribution of the length scale of the structures, is determined. The expected value of the periodogram converges to the resulting power spectrum in the mean squared sense. The present analysis reveals that the power spectrum steepens at relatively smaller scales. At larger scales, the spectrum flattens and the power law becomes shallower. The power spectra of the 1.1mm emission show clear deviations from a single power law. We find that at least three components of power law might be fitted to the calculated power spectrum of the 1.1mm emission. The slope of the best fit power law, ${\gamma}{\approx}-2.7$ is similar to those values found in numerical simulations. The effect of beam size and the noise spectrum on the shape and slope of the power spectrum are also included in the present analysis. The slope of the power law changes significantly at higher spatial frequency as the beam size increases.
How dense cores and filaments in molecular clouds form is one of key questions in star formation. To challenge this issue we started to make a systematic mapping survey of nearby molecular clouds in various environments with TRAO 14m telescope equipped with 16 beam array, in high ($N_2H^+$, $HCO^+$ 1-0) and low ($C^{18}O$, $^{13}CO$ 1-0) density tracers (TRAO Multi-beam Legacy Survey of Nearby Filamentary Molecular Clouds, PI: C. W. Lee). We pursue to dynamically and chemically understand how filaments, dense cores, and stars form under different environments. We have performed On-The-Fly (OTF) mapping observations toward L1251, southern part of Perseus molecular cloud, and Serpens main molecular cloud from January to May, 2016. In total, ~3.5 square degree area map of $^{13}CO$ and $C^{18}O$ was simultaneously obtained with S/N of >10 in a velocity resolution of ~0.2 km/s. Dense core regions of ~1.7 square degree area where $C^{18}O$ 1-0 line is strongly detected were also mapped in $N_2H^+$ 1-0 and $HCO^+$ 1-0. The L1251 and Perseus MC are known to be low- to intermediate-mass star-forming clouds, while the Serpens MC is an active low-mass star-forming cloud. The observed molecular filaments will help to understand how the filaments, cores and eventually stars form in a low- and/or intermediate-mass star-forming environment. In this talk, I'll give a brief report on the observation and show preliminary results of Perseus MC.
This paper describes an efficient hardware implementation of modular square root (MSQR) computation over GF(p), which is the operation needed to map plaintext messages to points on elliptic curves for elliptic curve (EC)-ElGamal public-key encryption. Our method supports five sizes of elliptic curves over GF(p) defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standard. For the Koblitz curves and the pseudorandom curves with 192-bit, 256-bit, 384-bit and 521-bit, the Euler's Criterion based on the characteristic of the modulo values was applied. For the elliptic curves with 224-bit, the Tonelli-Shanks algorithm was simplified and applied to compute MSQR. The proposed method was implemented using the finite field arithmetic circuit with 32-bit datapath and memory block of elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) processor, and its hardware operation was verified by implementing it on the Virtex-5 field programmable gate array (FPGA) device. When the implemented circuit operates with a 50 MHz clock, the computation of MSQR takes about 18 ms for 224-bit pseudorandom curves and about 4 ms for 256-bit Koblitz curves.
The multifarious array of benefits to the e-Government systems research, from evaluative frameworks and conceptual models to guidelines for initiatives, adoption, and assimilation, evidences the requirement, both from the researcher's and the practitioner's standpoint, of sound theoretical foundations that can be applied directly in practice. Grounded upon structuration theory, this paper proposes a framework for e-Government systems assimilation through the structuration of its organizational factors. Upon this proposition, we map the factors of e-Government systems assimilation with the organizational meta-structures of signification, domination and legitimization. The framework is then tested for the case of one particular e-Government systems of Korean government. The juxtaposition of the theoretical position and the practical findings leads us to isolate the organizational, technological, and inter-organizational factors that shape the meta-structures for the assimilation of e-Government systems. This framework offers interesting possibilities to researchers in exploring the relationships and insights into the complex interactions that shape the relationships among government, people and technology. Thus, the paper's contribution lies on three axes: first, the furthering of a theoretical perspective of e-Government systems assimilation; second, a detailed exposition of the structuration theory and an illustration of its application to the issues of e-Government systems assimilation in the organizational context; and finally, developed framework through the isolation of a usable set of theoretically grounded factors affecting e-Government systems assimilation that can be applied in future research and practice.

Formation of filaments and subsequent dense cores in ISM is one of the essential questions to address in star formation. To investigate this scenario in detail, we recently started a molecular line survey namely 'Filaments, the Universal Nursery of Stars (FUNS)' toward nearby filamentary clouds in Gould Belt using TRAO 14m single dish telescope equipped with a 16 multi-beam array. In the present work, we report the first look results of kinematics of a low mass star forming region L1478 of California molecular cloud. This region is found to be consisting of long filaments with a hub-filament structure. We performed On-The-Fly mapping observations covering ~1.1 square degree area of this region using C18O(1-0) as a low density tracer and 0.13 square degree area using N2H+(1-0) as a high density tracer, respectively. CS (2-1) and SO (32-21) were also used simultaneously to map ~290 square arcminute area of this region. We identified 10 filaments applying Dendrogram technique to C18O data-cube and 13 dense cores using FellWalker and N2H+ data set. Basic physical properties of filaments such as mass, length, width, velocity field, and velocity dispersion are derived. It is found that filaments in L~1478 are velocity coherent and supercritical. Especially the filaments which are highly supercritical are found to have dense cores detected in N2H+. Non-thermal velocity dispersions derived from C18O and N2H+ suggest that most of the dense cores are subsonic or transonic while the surrounding filaments are transonic or supersonic. We concluded that filaments in L~1478 are gravitationally unstable which might collapse to form dense cores and stars. We also suggest that formation mechanism can be different in individual filament depending on its morphology and environment.

Constitutional interstitial deletions of the long arm of chromosome 5 (5q) are quite rare, and the corresponding phenotype is not yet clearly delineated. Severe mental retardation has been described in most patients who present 5q deletions. Specifically, the interstitial deletion of chromosome 5q33.3q35.1, an extremely rare chromosomal aberration, is characterized by mental retardation, developmental delay, and facial dysmorphism. Although the severity of mental retardation varies across cases, it is the most common feature described in patients who present the 5q33.3q35.1 deletion. Here, we report a case of a de novo deletion of 5q33.3q35.1, 46,XY,del(5)(q33.3q35.1) in an 11-year-old boy with mental retardation; to the best of our knowledge this is the first case in Korea to be reported. He was diagnosed with severe mental retardation, developmental delay, facial dysmorphisms, dental anomalies, and epilepsy. Chromosomal microarray analysis using the comparative genomic hybridization array method revealed a 16-Mb-long deletion of 5q33. 3q35.1(156,409,412-172,584,708)x1. Understanding this deletion may help draw a rough phenotypic map of 5q and correlate the phenotypes with specific chromosomal regions. The 5q33.3q35.1 deletion is a rare condition; however, accurate diagnosis of the associated mental retardation is important to ensure proper genetic counseling and to guide patients as part of long-term management.
Brassica rapa is considered an ideal candidate to act as a reference species for Brassica genomic studies. Among the three basic Brassica species, B. rapa (AA genome) has the smallest genome (529 Mbp), compared to B. nigra (BB genome, 632 Mbp) and B. oleracea (CC genome, 696 Mbp). There is also a large collection of available cultivars of B. rapa, as well as a broad array of B. rapa genomic resources available. Under international consensus, various genomic studies on B. rapa have been conducted, including the construction of a physical map based on 22.5X genome coverage, end sequencing of 146,000 BACs, sequencing of >150,000 expressed sequence tags, and successful phase 2 shotgun sequencing of 589 euchromatic region-tiling BACs based on comparative positioning with the Arabidopsis genome. These sequenced BACs mapped onto the B. rapa genome provide beginning points for genome sequencing of each chromosome. Applying this strategy, all of the 10 chromosomes of B. rapa have been assigned to the sequencing centers in seven countries, Korea, UK, China, India, Canada, Australia, and Japan. The two longest chromosomes, A3 and A9, have been sequenced except for several gaps, by NAAS in Korea. Meanwhile a China group, including IVF and BGI, performed whole genome sequencing with Illumina system. These Sanger and NGS sequence data will be integrated to assemble a draft sequence of B. rapa. The imminent B. rapa genome sequence offers novel insights into the organization and evolution of the Brassica genome. In parallel, the transfer of knowledge from B. rapa to other Brassica crops would be expected.
A tensor is a multi-dimensional array that represents many data such as (user, user, time) in the social network system. A tensor generator is an important tool for multi-dimensional data mining research with various applications including simulation, multi-dimensional data modeling/understanding, and sampling/extrapolation. However, existing tensor generators cannot generate sparse tensors like real-world tensors that obey power law. In addition, they have limitations such as tensor sizes that can be processed and additional time required to upload generated tensor to distributed systems for further analysis. In this study, we propose TeT, a distributed tera-scale tensor generator to solve these problems. TeT generates sparse random tensor as well as sparse R-MAT and Kronecker tensor without any limitation on tensor sizes. In addition, a TeT-generated tensor is immediately ready for further tensor analysis on the same distributed system. The careful design of TeT facilitates nearly linear scalability on the number of machines.
Objectives: The aim of this study is to investigate immune enhancing effect of Houttuyniae Herba water extract(HW) on RAW 264.7 cell of mouse macrophages. Methods: Effects of HW on productions of nitric oxide(NO) and hydrogen peroxide($H_2O_2$) in RAW 264.7 mouse macrophages were measured. Effect of HW on production of cytokines such as interleukin(IL)-$1{\beta}$, IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-${\alpha}$ in RAW 264.7 cells was accessed by a multiplex bead array assay based on xMAP technology. All of results were represented P<0.05 compared to the normal. Results: 1. After 24 hr incubation, HW increased significantly NO production in RAW 264.7 cells at the concentrations of 25, 50, 100 and 200 ${\mu}g$/mL. 2. After 24 hr incubation, HW increased significantly hydrogen peroxide production in RAW 264.7 cells at the concentrations of 25, 50, 100 and 200 ${\mu}g$/mL. 3. After 24 hr incubation, HW increased significantly IL-$1{\beta}$ production in RAW 264.7 cells at the concentrations of 100 and 200 ${\mu}g$/mL. 4. After 24 hr incubation, HW increased significantly IL-6 production in RAW 264.7 cells at the concentrations of 100 and 200 ${\mu}g$/mL. 5. After 24 hr incubation, HW increased significantly TNF-${\alpha}$ production in RAW 264.7 cells at the concentrations of 50, 100, and 200 ${\mu}g$/mL. Conclusions: These results suggest that HW has immune enhancing activity related with its increasement of NO, hydrogen peroxide, IL-$1{\beta}$, IL-6, and TNF-${\alpha}$ in macrophages.
How to transfer spatial data from server to client in wireless broadcasting environment is shown as following: A server arranges data information that client wants and transfers data by one-dimensional array for broadcasting cycle. Client listens data transferred by the server and returns resulted value only to server. Recently number of users using location-based services is increasing alongside number of objects, and data volume is changing into large amount. Large volume of data in wireless broadcasting environment may increase query time of client. Therefore, we propose Client based Data Scheduling (CDS) for efficient data scheduling in wireless broadcasting environment. CDS divides map and then calculates total sum of objects for each grid by considering number of objects and data size within divided grids. It carries out data scheduling by applying hot-cold method considering total data size of objects for each grid and number of client. It's proved that CDS reduces average query processing time for client compared to existing method.
