프레스 포밍 공정을 이용한 피팅 파이프 성형 조건 선정 (Determination of Forming Conditions of Fitting Pipes using Press Forming Processes)

  • The press bulging process is very useful and productive method to produce round-type mechanical components which have not been able to be manufactured because of limitation of the conventional press technology. The application of the press bulging process has expanded very quickly in the hydraulic and electronic industry and more recently it has been used to produce other mechanical parts such as the automobile and shipping parts. This expanding application also has brought some unsolved problems and leads many researchers to put their effort into the die design of the press bulging process. In this study, to obtain the optimum die shape for the press bulging process, various process parameters have been considered such as corner radius, bulging height, pressing length, and forming load, etc. The main interest of this paper is to verify the press bulging process which has more than 4.0 in height-length ratio. From this aspect, Finite Element analysis shows great ability to simulate the precise deformation process and gives us manufacturing database. Consideration of strain, stress, and strain-rate for the various cases has been also taken to keep the forming load within a particular range.

알루미늄 이너 타이로드 소켓의 냉간다단단조 유효성 검증 (Effectiveness Validation on Cold Multi-Stage Forging of Aluminum Inner Tie Rod Socket)

  • Recently, the automobile industry has continued to demand lighter materials owing to international environmental regulations and increased convenience. To address this demand, aluminum parts have increased in popularity and are mainly developed and produced through hot forging and cold pressing. However, because this method has low yield and low production efficiency, a new manufacturing method is desirable. In this study, the water capacity efficiency of an aluminum inner tie rod socket was investigated using cold forging that provided a high yield and excellent production efficiency. Mechanical properties were derived through tensile testing of 6110A aluminum materials, and critical fracture factor and process analysis based on experimental data were carried out. The optimized process was applied as a prototype using cold multi-stage forging, and based on the derived results, the formability, productivity, and material efficiency of aluminum inner tie rod socket parts using this cold forging process was verified.

  • 자동차 산업은 전 세계적으로 매출액이 1조 달러가 넘고 1천만 명 이상을 고용하고 있는 세계최대 제조업으로서, 약 2만 여개의 부품으로 완성되는 복합적 성격의 대표적인 산업이며 자동차 조립공정은 도장된 차체에 약 3천여 종의 내장, 계기판, 시트, 유리, 엔진, 트랜스미션, 차축 등의 유닛(Unit)을 조립하는 노동집약적 공정으로, 타 공정에 비해 자동화 비율이 가장 낮은 특징을 가지고 있다. 또한, 현재의 자동차 조립공정은 작업자의 조립작업에 대한 실시간 모니터링이 이루어지고 있지 못한 실정으로, 작업자의 작업 공구위치 측정시스템의 도입을 통해 공구의 위치를 실시간으로 파악하고 분석하여 일관된 작업 순서를 지시하면서 작업의 누락 및 가감을 체크한다면, 자동차 제조공정에서 발생할 수 있는 불량을 사전에 차단하여 조립공정의 생산성 및 품질향상을 이룰 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 작업자의 작업공구 위치 측정 시스템의 도입을 통해 일관된 작업 순서를 지시하면서 작업의 누락 및 가감을 체크하고, 제조공정에서 발생할 수 있는 조립불량을 사전에 차단하여 조립공정의 생산성 및 품질향상을 이룰 수 있는 실시간 공구 위치추적 시스템의 구성을 위하여 UWB(Ultra Wide Band) 무선측위를 활용한 공구의 실시간 위치추적시스템을 개발하고 그 효용성을 증명하고자 한다.

중소조선용 철의장 가공자동화시스템 개발 (An Automated Machining System for Steel Flat Bar Plasma Cutting in the Small Sized Shipbuilding Industry)

  • 조선업종은 숙련공의 감소와 노동력 부족을 해결하기 위해 자동화와 기계화가 필요하다. 특히 조선용 핸드레일 제조공정은 표준화된 타 분야와 달리 자동화가 낙후되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 조선용 핸드레일 제작에 사용할 수 있는 철의장 가공자동화시스템을 설계하고 개발하였다. 시스템의 기구부는 절단공정의 효율성, 생산성, 안정성 등을 고려하여 설계하였고, CATIA 와 ANSYS를 사용하여 구조물의 안정성을 확인하였다. 시스템 제어부는 개방성과 확장성을 제공하는 PCNC 콘트롤러를 사용하였고, 터치스크린 방식의 화면 조작을 통해 시스템의 제어 및 모니터링을 할 수 있도록 구축하였다. 개발된 철의장 가공자동화시스템은 수차의 구동테스트 및 가공테스트를 통해 성능의 우수성을 입증하여 실용단계에 있다.

  • Nowadays the amount of plastic products is increasing in modern industry. Plastic materials are continuously developed to satisfy the mechanical, physical, and chemical properties. The increasing application of plastic parts in automobile and aerospace industries is due to the fact that it can reduce the structural weight and can lessen the environmental contamination. Among many manufacturing technologies for plastic parts, the injection molding process is very attractive because of its low cost and short production time. Through various analyses of resin flow and molding process for the conventional gate and cooling mechanism, a new type of mold was designed which had different gate location and cooling systems. Newly designed ball seat has an excellent performances, i.e. diminished weld-line, residual stress density, higher magnitude less crack propagation and smaller dimensional contractions effect.

자동차 부품산업의 전자세금계산서 기반 2차·3차 공급망 분석: 브레이크 업계를 중심으로 (Supply Network Analysis of Second and Third Outsourcing Firms with E-Invoice at Automobile Parts Industry: Focused to Brake Manufacturing Firms)

  • 본 연구는 실시간으로 생성되는 전자세금계산서(e-invoice) 데이터를 활용하여 자동차 부품산업 내의 공급망을 분석하였다. 완성차에게 부품을 공급하는 모듈단위 업체를 1차 업체라고 정의하였으며 총 8가지 모듈 단위 중에서 제동장치의 서브 모듈인 브레이크를 중심으로 2차/3차 공급망 분석을 실시하였다. 2차 브레이크 생산 업체는 3개 업체로, 이들 업체의 에고 네트워크 분석을 토대로 각 업체의 3차 하청업체들의 네트워크상에서의 역할-통합자와 할당자 그리고 허브- 규명되었다. 네트워크 수준 분석에서는 브레이크 업계 점유율 1위인 $A_2$의 네트워크는 다른 2개의 경쟁 업체보다 업체 수가 많고 권한이 집중되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 브레이크업계 사업유형별 거래 전 속도를 통해 거래적 위상관계를 분석하였는데 전체 업체의 37%가 위계적 거래였으며 사업유형 관점에서 도매업, 상품중개업 그리고 고무 제품 및 플라스틱 제품제조업의 거래 전속도 값이 1일 정도로 위계적 거래관계인 사실을 입증했다.

영상처리를 이용한 쇽업서버 너클 브라켓 홀 검사 방법 (Inspection of the Knuckle Bracket Holes of a Shock-Absorber using Image Processing Method)

  • Automotive industry is a major business area in this country and it becomes more and more important. In order to maintain high quality of vehicles, every parts should be inspected. Among them the inspection job of the knuckle bracket holes of the outer tube of shock-absorber has been done manually until now. So, it takes long time and every product can not be inspected. An automatized inspection system was proposed utilizing machine vision technology, which was composed of a slit beam laser, CCD camera, image processing computer, special jig and illuminating back lights. An algorithm which could process images of the laser and bracket holes, then gave the position, radius, roundness of the holes, was developed. This system was applied for the good and no good products and the performance was confirmed.

복합소재를 이용한 자동차 클러치 커넥터 안정성에 관한 연구 (A study on using composite materials for automotive clutch connector reliability)

  • Recently, energy-saving technology is rapidly becoming a crucial issue for mankind due to the depletion of natural resources. From this perspective, every automobile manufactures are trying to develop light materials and to validate safety with environmental consideration. In this study, we developed clutch connector tube which is the parts of power transferring clutch with light materials to substitude for existing general steel materials. We also verified that the general steel materials can be replaced with nylon, fiberglass, stainless and plastic materials or not. As a result, we verified that the mixture of glass and nylon composite material can substitude the general steel.

  • In perspective of saving natural resource and energy, today's automobiles are in process of regenerating by smaller and lighter. In order to achieve the sufficiency on the consumption of the fuel, new mechanism and new assembly are required. Therefore the expectations on the new materials are very high. Especially, AI materials are widely used to reduce the weight. AI that is used in automobiles is mostly casting material, and according to the innovation of technique is in rapid development. AI Die casting is an important field as today's trend of lightweight on automobiles. One of the parts in steering system, Valve Housing plays a role of reduce the operating effort of drivers. Unfortunately, the Valve Housing which is widely reliable to the most automobiles are not developed at this moment in our automobile industry. Therefore, they are produced by casting method which cost three times or even more expensive in production. If Valve Housing, which is a part of steering system is produced by Gravity Casting, the space that manufacturing equipment will be increased, and more time and workers would be brought into service. For such reason, Die Casting would replace Gravity Casting in order to minimize cost of time, manpower, and working space.

자동차 업종의 근골격계질환 발생 위험요인에 대한 인간공학적 평가도구간 초과율 비교 (A Comparison of Excess Rates of Risk Factors among Ergonomic Assessment Tools for Automobile and Part Manufacturing Industry Workers)

  • There are many assessment techniques used for occupational risk factors of MSDs in the workplaces. However, because all ergonomic assesment techniques or tools are based on theoretical background derived from workphysiology, biomechanics, psychophysics, industrial hygiene, work system, and etc, it is impossible to compare the assessment techniques. This study was conducted to compare the excess rates of risk factors among ergonomic assessment techniques and to make alternative methods. Site-visits to 6 automobile products and parts company provided data for process repeated work where the produced data was examined for evaluating the relationship between workplace lay-out and work posture by using ergonomic assessment techniques. We evaluated 157 jobs for simple repeated work and 37 jobs for manual materials handling (MMH). In simple repeated work, the exceeded rates of AC were 36.3% in OWAS method and 93.0% in RULA method. The exceeded rate for RULA method was significantly higher than those for OWAS method (p<0.05). In MMH, the exceeded rates of AC were 80.0% in NLE method and 76.5% in WAC method. Statistically significant differences were not identified in the exceeded rates for NLE and MAC methods (p<0.05). The analyzed results among ergonomic assessment techniques (OWAS, RULA, NLE/WAC) were applied to the same work places performing simple repeated work and manual materials handling simultaneously. The applied results showed statistically significant differences (p<0.05) among ergonomic assessment techniques (OWAS, RULA, NLE/WAC). Exceeded rates of four ergonomic assessment techniques in decreasing order was "RULA>NLE>WAC>OWAS". The RULA method was the strongest assessment technique for automobile products and parts company. We discovered that the results could easily be overestimated or underestimated when the ergonomic assessment techniques were not applied correctly during the evaluation process. Therefore, we recommend using at least 2 methods when evaluating and analysing the results.
