  • A quantum computer, based on quantum mechanics, is a paradigm of information processing that can show remarkable possibilities of exponentially improved information processing. This paradigm can be solved in a short time by calculating factoring problem and discrete logarithm problem that are typically used in public key cryptosystems such as RSA(Rivest-Shamir-Adleman) and ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptography). In 2013, Lei et al. proposed a secure NTRU-based key distribution protocol for quantum computing. However, Lei et al. protocol was vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks. In this paper, we propose a NTRU(N-the truncated polynomial ring) key distribution protocol with mutual authentication only using NTRU convolution multiplication operation in order to maintain the security for quantum computing. The proposed protocol is resistant to quantum computing attacks. It is also provided a secure key distribution from various attacks such as man-in-the middle attack and replay attack.

  • As a new type of wireless network, Ad hoc network does not depend on any pre-founded infrastructure, and it has no centralized control unit. The computation and transmission capability of each node are limited. In this paper, a self-updating one-time password mutual authentication protocol for Ad hoc network is proposed. The most significant feature is that a hash chain can update by itself smoothly and securely through capturing the secure bit of the tip. The updating process does not need any additional protocol or re-initialization process and can be continued indefinitely to give rise to an infinite length hash chain, that is, the times of authentication is unlimited without reconstructing a new hash chain. Besides, two random variable are added into the messages interacted during the mutual authentication, enabling the protocol to resist man-in-the-middle attack. Also, the user's identity information is introduced into the seed of hash chain, so the scheme achieves anonymity and traceability at the same time.

  • Malicious rogue AP has been used for variety attacks such as packet sniffing and Man-In-The-Middle Attack. It is used for the purpose of data leakage via 3G network within companies, and the unauthorized AP could be a reason of security incidents even though it is not intended. In this paper, we propose the method for detecting unauthorized access point over 3G networks throughout the RTT (Round Trip Time) value for classification. Through the experiments, we show that the method can classify the AP which is installed by normal way and the AP over 3G networks successfully.

  • In this paper, we present a novel method to verify the financial site and prevent sensitive information disclosure with financial security card and smart phone. This method allows homepage access when user accesses to the valid site with right security card and smart phone. Furthermore, traditional OTP method cannot be secure against to Man in the middle attack, but out method presents the countermeasure of this. User can readily recognize the phishing and pharming sites and even avoid Man in the middle attack by malicious users.

  • Designing efficient and secure electronic payment is important for M-Commerce. In this paper, we propose an efficient Micro-payment protocol that allows multiple transactions using ID-based public key encryption-system. The proposed payword system requires to generate authenticated key generated by Weil-pairing which uses an elliptic curve cryptosystem over finite field Fq for transactions. Therefore, it is more secure in known key attacks as well as man-in-the middle attacks.

  • Now a days, as increased the use of mobile units like a laptop computer and PDA, the demand for high speed internet service is increasing. On the other hand, PKMv2 which is provided from IEEE 802.16e cannot support fully on the security of high speed internet service. This paper proposes light-weight mutual authentication protocol which solved security problem of PKMv2 related to integrity of mobile node for transmission of safe high speed data of mobile node operating in mobile WiMAX environment. Proposed mutual authentication protocol increases the efficiency as the user in network can move in network safely without additional procedure of authentication between subscriber and base station after user's initial authentication. Also, the proposed mutual authentication protocol is safe from the security attack (the man-in-the-middle attack and reply attack) between subscriber and base station by generating a key adopt to PRF() function using random number and secret value in order to secure certification.

  • The SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) is an application layer call signaling protocol which can create, modify and terminate the session of user, and provides various services in combination with numerous existing protocols. However, most of cryptosystems for SIP cannot prevent quantum computing attack because they have used ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem). In this paper, we propose a NTRU based authentication and key distribution protocol for SIP in order to protect quantum computing attacks. The proposed protocol can prevent various attacks such as quantum computing attack, server spoofing attack, man-in-the middle attack and impersonation attack anonymity, and our protocol can provide user's anonymity.

  • As the IT industry develops, the smart-phone technology and functions which are actively being studied at the moment greatly influence the entire living environment. With the smart-phone technology and functions, people's interest for the wireless LAN which can be used to get access to the Internet anytime anywhere is gradually increasing. However, since the malicious attacker can easily carry out hacking or approach the contents due to the characteristics of the wireless radio wave, the personal information with a high level of importance for data security is easily exposed due to Spoofing, Denial of Service attack and Man in the Middle attack. Therefore, the demand for security is gradually increasing. In this paper, the safe wireless network service environment is provided by supplementing the vulnerability in regard to Spoofing, Session Hijacking and Man in the Middle attack after executing the client's authentication process, the AP authentication process and the Mobile Agency authentication process with the client's information in the USIM, the AP information and the Mobile Agency information when the client uses the wireless Internet through the Mobile Agency AP access in the smart phone environment.

  • The numerous improved schemes of user authentication based on password have been proposed in order to prevent the data access from the unauthorized person. The importance of user authentication has been remarkably growing in the expanding application areas of wireless sensor networks. Recently, emerging wireless sensor networks possesses a hierarchy among the nodes which are divided into cluster heads and sensor nodes. Such hierarchical wireless sensor networks have more operational advantages by reducing the energy consumption and traffic load. In 2012, Das et al. proposed a user authentication scheme to be applicable for the hierarchical wireless sensor networks. Das et al. claimed that their scheme is effectively secure against the various security flaws. In this paper, author will prove that Das et al.'s scheme is still vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attack, password guessing/change attack and does not support mutual authentication between the user and the cluster heads.

  • The cryptological key which is used in WiMAX environment is used at regular intervals by mobile nodes (laptop computer, PDA, cell-phone) which is in the range of base station coverage. But it is very weak at local attack like man-in-the-middle when the mobile node is off the range of base station or enters into the range to communicate with base station because the communication section is activated wirelessly. This paper proposes a distribution key building protocol which can reuse security key used by nodes to reduce cryptological security attack danger and communication overhead which occurs when mobile node tries to communicate with base station. The proposed distribution key establishing protocol can reduce overhead which occurs between base station and mobile node through key reusing which occurs during the communication process and also, makes security better than IEEE 802.16 standard by creating shared key which is required for inter-certification through the random number which node itself creates.
