  • Typical algorithms of deep learning include CNN(Convolutional Neural Networks), which are mainly used for image recognition, and RNN(Recurrent Neural Networks), which are used mainly for speech recognition and natural language processing. Among them, CNN is able to learn from filters that generate feature maps with algorithms that automatically learn features from data, making it mainstream with excellent performance in image recognition. Since then, various algorithms such as R-CNN and others have appeared in object detection to improve performance of CNN, and algorithms such as YOLO(You Only Look Once) and SSD(Single Shot Multi-box Detector) have been proposed recently. However, since these deep learning-based detection algorithms determine the success of the detection in the still images, stable object tracking and detection in the video requires separate tracking capabilities. Therefore, this paper proposes a method of combining Kalman filters into deep learning-based detection networks for improved object tracking and detection performance in the video. The detection network used YOLO v2, which is capable of real-time processing, and the proposed method resulted in 7.7% IoU performance improvement over the existing YOLO v2 network and 20 fps processing speed in FHD images.

  • Through the Ukraine-Russia war, the military importance of drones is being reassessed, and North Korea has completed actual verification through a drone provocation towards South Korea at 2022. Furthermore, North Korea is actively integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology into drones, highlighting the increasing threat posed by drones. In response, the Republic of Korea military has established Drone Operations Command(DOC) and implemented various drone defense systems. However, there is a concern that the efforts to enhance capabilities are disproportionately focused on striking systems, making it challenging to effectively counter swarm drone attacks. Particularly, Air Force bases located adjacent to urban areas face significant limitations in the use of traditional air defense weapons due to concerns about civilian casualties. Therefore, this study proposes a new passive air defense method that aims at disrupting the object detection capabilities of AI models to enhance the survivability of friendly aircraft against the threat posed by AI based swarm drones. Using laser-based adversarial examples, the study seeks to degrade the recognition accuracy of object recognition AI installed on enemy drones. Experimental results using synthetic images and precision-reduced models confirmed that the proposed method decreased the recognition accuracy of object recognition AI, which was initially approximately 95%, to around 0-15% after the application of the proposed method, thereby validating the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • We make DEM of the area that elevation value varies rapidly by the aid. This study evaluates the accuracy and workability between the existing DEM making mathod by processing break line and the DEM absorption method by using the program like ARC TIN or AML. The object data of DEM generation is 1/5,000 digital map publicated by NGII and this study uses 100pieces of map as the criteria. We correct the error by Geoconv and generate DEM by using ARC TIN, ARC VIEW. Accuracy Evaluation accomplished by drawing 100 points from 1/5000 digital map.

  • A wide spectrum of risk assessments including qualitative and quantitative approaches and the analyses of its consequence were performed for an environmentally sensitive object such as incineration facility. To find out the major risk concerns, HAZOP(Hazard and Operability) were performed. Then, the frequency of hazardous gas release scenarios was calculated. Finally consequence analyses were performed for the gas release scenarios. On the basis of analyses through evaluation, a more innovative way for making a better control system or the enhancement of operation procedure was given. The results from these analyses would act as a substantial benefits for the incineration facility operator, and giving some measured information for the neighbors and the people involved.

  • Because of rapid development of software technology, a number of software professionals have been concerned with component-based development methodologies. Up to date, the evaluation of component quality has been focused on object-oriented metric based methodology. But this paper presents the selection process and evaluation criteria based on an MCDM(Multiple Criteria Decision Making) technique for the selection of optimal COTS component from consumers' viewpoints. We considered functionality, efficiency and usability based on ISO/IEC 9126 for quality measurement and conducted practical analysis into commercial EJB component in internet. This paper shows that the proposed selection technique is applicable for the selection of the optimal COTS component.

  • Most of companies related to the area of B2B electronic commerce are making their efforts to innovate their existing business process into new designed process. XML-based electronic data interchange has potential to impact on reshaping the traditional EDI systems. This study intends to suggest a prototype of XML-based electronic data interchange using unified modeling language, with a case study applied in Korean automobile industry. In order to accomplish the research objectives, we employed UML as its standard modeling language, In this study, four diagramming techniques such as use case diagram, sequence diagram, class diagram, component diagram among eight modeling techniques are used for analyzing hierarchical business process. As a result of applying UML methodology, we design and develop XML/EDI applications efficiently. Our field test applied to Korean automobile industry shows that data modeling to design XML application using UML is better than existing methodologies in representing object schema of XML data and in extension and interoperability of systems.

  • ActiveX is the general name for a set of Microsoft Technologies that allows users to re-use code and link individual programs together to suit their computing needs. In addition ActiveX technology Provides a standard model for interapplication communication that different programming language. ActiveX is based on COM(Component Object Model), the COM standard allow developer to create code and application from a multitude of different languages and build a defined interface to that code, making it easily accessible by other application. By using ActiveX, user can access the functionality of other applications running remote computer distributed through the network and communicate over the network to build distributed applications. LabVIEW provides access to other Windows applications using ActiveX technologies. So in this paper we implement distributed application using ActiveX technology for remote control and monitoring.

  • It is one of the most important thing to select pneumatic components in pneumatic system design. For the purpose of selecting pneumatic components, case objects are described as a knowledge representation and the most similar case object must be selected by decision making in computer. In this paper, case objects are represented using the methodology that is used for CBR(Case Base Reasoning) and methodology that the most similar case can be selected is Proposed. Algorithm VIWNNR(Varying Index Weight-based Nearer Neighbor Retrieval) is accomplished by varying index weight, that is not considering a index matching as true or false but varying a size of weight according to the degree of matching and enhance the flexibility of SCRM(Similar Case Retrieval Module) involving fuzzy concept in matching the cases. SCRM is tested In verify the feasibility to select pneumatic linear components and is peformed effectively.

  • In this study, attempts to analyze the case study of production design were carried out through: 1) exploration of the factors influencing the interface between architectural and production design phases; 2)application of precast technologies. Building design and construction planning in Japan may be characterized by ample use of Production Design which extends over the whole projects phases. Taking a composite construction system for apartment buildings which allow for alternative combination of different technologies as a case study object, three projects have been chosen to analyze actual process of determining product sub-system and their specification. And the expectancies of this paper are that it can be used as efficient data for improvement of system to systematize Constructability(Buildability) in korea.

  • Robots have begun to perform various tasks on replacing the human in the daily life such as cleaning, entertainments etc. In order to accomplish the effective performance of intricate and precise tasks, robot hand must have special capabilities, such as decision making in given condition, autonomy in unknown situation and stable manipulation of object. In this study, we addresses the development of a 3-fingered humanoid robot hand system. We execute static analysis, vibration analysis and flexible dynamics to reserve stability at the design. Grasp motion of the finger uses a linear actuator and gears. Motion can be distinguished into four parts depending on the grasping thin paper, sphere, and column. In each motion, we compare the displacement of the case to be rigid with the case to be flexible. As a result, manufactured and feasibility of the robot hand is validated through preliminary experiments.
