The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of intent to leave among workers at long-term care institutions in South Korea. The model represents a revision of the Price(2001) model which extends previous research by providing a comprehensive review of the economic, psychological, sociological literature. This study also examined the moderating effects of values toward independent variables on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The sample used in this study consisted of 400 workers from 9 long-term care hospitals and facilities nationwide. Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analysed using multiple regression analysis and path analysis. The main results of the study were as follows. The variance of job satisfaction and organizational commitment explained by the independent variables used in the study are 74.5% and 76.3% respectively. The results of this study revealed that the following variables have significant negative effects on intent to leave among workers; organizational commitment, job satisfaction, positive affectivity, supervisor support, job significance, job security, job growth. And the following variables have significant positive effects on intent to leave among workers; job opportunity, negative affectivity. This result is same when the moderating role of values were considered in the analysis. Among demographic variables, only age was found to have a significant positive effect on the intent to leave among workers.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of household income, education needs, private education expenses and expenditures of preparation for old age for mothers of school-aged children and to discover the causal relationships among these variables. The subjects in this study were gathered from among 393 mothers living in Daegu with school-aged children from 8 to 19 years old and with wage-earner husbands. The research tool was a questionnaires which addressed the general characteristics of the subjects, household income, the scale of education needs, the scale of private education expenditures, the scale of perceived burden of private education, and the scale of expenditures of preparation for old age. In order to analyze the study data, factor analysis, and regression analysis using SPSS were used, and structural path analysis using AMOS was used. The main results of this study were as follow: First, the greater the household income, the greater the education needs. Second, household income and education needs had no significant influences on private education expenditures. Third, education needs and private education expenditures turned out to have significant effects on the perceived burden of private education expenditures. Fourth, expenditures of preparation for old age among mothers of school-aged children was influenced by the education needs, private education expenditures and perceived burden of private education expenditures. The household income of mothers of school-aged children had no significant influence on private education expenditures. Finally, education needs, private education expenditures and perceived burden of private education expenditures for mothers of school-aged children had a direct effect on the expenditures of preparations for old age. On the other hand, in mediating education needs, household income of these mothers had an indirect effect on expenditures of preparations for old age. The perceived burden of private education expenditures turned out to have the biggest total effect on the preparations for old age of mothers with school-aged children.

Numerical analysis on RF (Radio-Frequency) thermal plasma treatment of micro-sized Ni metal was carried out to understand the synthesis mechanism of nano-sized Ni powder by RF thermal plasma. For this purpose, the behaviors of Ni metal particles injected into RF plasma torch were investigated according to their diameters ($1{\sim}100{\mu}m$), RF input power (6 ~ 12 kW) and the flow rates of carrier gases (2 and 5 slpm). From the numerical results, it is predicted firstly that the velocities of carrier gases need to be minimized because the strong injection of carrier gas can cool down the central column of RF thermal plasma significantly, which is used as a main path for RF thermal plasma treatment of micro-sized Ni metal. In addition, the residence time of the injected particles in the high temperature region of RF thermal plasma is found to be also reduced in proportion to the flow rate of the carrier gas In spite of these effects of carrier gas velocities, however, calculation results show that a Ni metal particle even with the diameter of $100{\mu}m$ can be completely evaporated at relatively low power level of 10 kW during its flight of RF thermal plasma torch (< 10 ms) due to the relatively low melting point and high thermal conductivity. Based on these observations, nano-sized Ni metal powders are expected to be produced efficiently by a simple treatment of micro-sized Ni metal using RF thermal plasmas.

The purpose of this study is to verify the theoretical model on the clothing satisfaction. Research problems are as following; 1. To identify a causal model on the clothing satisfaction. 2. To examine the causal model by the brand levels. 3. To examine the causal model by the consumer characteristics. The empirical study of the above research problems is carried out by the longitudinal survey. The subjects selected for the final analysis are 362 women living in Seoul and Pusan. The results of our analysis are as following; 1. The main causal course of the clothing satisfaction is that the brand level and the consumer expectation $\rightarrow$ the expectation $\rightarrow$ the perceived performance ($\rightarrow$ the disconfirmation) $\rightarrow$ the clothing satisfaction. Those relevant variables explain $70\%$ of the clothing satisfac-tion variance. Especially, the influence of the perceived performance appears to be greater than that of the disconfirmation. 2. According to our analysis, the expectation influences the clothing satisfaction indirectly through the perceived performance. Especially, the normative expectation exhibits the contrast effect on the disconfirmation, while the predictive expectation exhibits the assimilation effect on the perceived performance. 3. The clothing satisfaction model differs by the brand levels (high price brand vs. moderate price brand) and by the consumer involvement levels (high involvement vs. low involvement). The relevant variables explain $65\%$ of the clothing satisfaction variance in the high price brand, while they explain $77\%$ in the moderate price brand. In the high involvement group, the relevant variables explain $78\%$ of the clothing satisfaction variance and $60\%$ in the low involvement group. In both involvement groups, the most critical direct variable is the perceived perfor-mance. In conclusion, we find that the clothing satisfaction can be explained by three constructs, the expectation, the perceived performance and the disconfirmation. The hypothesis that the two dimensions of the expectation explain the clothing satisfaction better is empirically supported in our study. Finally, we find that the clothing satisfaction models differ between two brand levels and consumer involvement levels.
The main purpose of this study is to verify cause-and-effect relationship between the influential level of the academic self-efficacy, the expectation for academic outcome and the adaptation to the department for students majoring in sports. To meet the purpose, the survey was conducted with a random sample 514 students who are a major in sports and analyzed. The gathered data is analyzed through the confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis and path analysis using SPSS v18.0 and AMOSS v20.0. The result are as follows; The study shows that the academic self-efficacy had a statistically-significant influence on the academic self-efficacy as well as the expectation for academic outcome and had a good influence to students on the adaptation to the department. Moreover, the relationship between the academic self-efficacy and the adaptation to the department shows that even though the academic outcome expectation had indirect effects, it turned out to have a positive influence in statistically. As the conclusion of this study, it is more important to increase the academic outcome expectation to raise the department adaptation for the students who are a major in sports.

The aim of this study was to clarify how the role stress of administrative workers in medical institutions affects burnout, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. The study conducted surveys on administrative workers at ten general hospitals with more than 200 beds for one month between July 13 and August 18, 2015. The surveys then underwent factor analysis, average variation extraction, a suitability index of the research model, and a path-coefficient estimation analysis of the research model using AMOS 18.0. The main results revealed a positive (+) effect according to the role conflict and role excess on burnout, and a negative (-) effect of burnout on job satisfaction, while they displayed no significant relationship with organizational commitment. These results suggest that clear guidelines and unity in instructions are needed to reduce the role of stress in cooperative tasks between departments and that optimizing the roles of organization members by accurately measuring and weighing tasks can increase the attachment to the organization and ultimately improve the individual job performance.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the casual relationships among purchase decision factors of medical devices, satisfaction and repurchasing intention. Data of this study is a 2012 survey on medical institutions using medical devices of MW(ministry of health and welfare) and We analyzed 116 medical institutions having ultrasound imaging system lager than general hospitals among data. For empirical analysis, we carried out confirmative factor analysis and path-analysis using AMOS 21.0 package. Main results of this study are as follows: First, brand has positive influence on satisfaction and satisfaction has positive impaction on repurchase intention. Second, although not statistically significant, performance and service have positive impaction on satisfaction and price has negative influence on satisfaction. The significance of this study is to provide empirical basis on establishment of efficient marketing strategy and enhancement of competitiveness for the medical device industry.
Resistance spot welding of TRIP780 steels was investigated to enhance understanding of weld fracture mode after tensile shear testing (TST) and L-shape tensile testing (LTT). The main failure mode for spot welds of TRIP780 steels was partial interfacial fracture (PIF). Although PIF does not satisfy the minimum button diameter (4${\surd}$t) for acceptable welds, it shows enough load carrying capacity of resistance spot welds for advanced high strength steels. In the analysis of displacement controlled L-shape tensile test results, cracks initiated at the notch of the faying surface and propagated through the interface of weldments, and finally, cracks change path into the sheet thickness direction. Use of the ductility ratio and CE analysis suggested that the occurrence of PIF is closely related to high hardness and brittle welds, which are caused by fast cooling rates and high chemical compositions of TRIP steels. Analysis of the hold time and weld time in a welding schedule demonstrated that careful control of the cooling rate and the size of a weld nugget and the HAZ zone can reduce the occurrence of PIF, which leads to sound welds with button fractures (BFs).
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects from social supports and global self-worth on stresses for the children. The subjects were 438 children of the 5th grade in Elementary School and the first grade in Junior High School in Taejeon. The instruments used for this study were Children's Social Support, Global Self-Worth and Stress Scale. The data were analyzed using t-test, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression and path analysis. The main results of the study were as follows; 1. The stresses were different depending on age. When the family and the teacher give higher social supports, the 5th graders have higher global self-worth. When the family gives higher social supports, the stresses were decreased for the 5th graders. When the children have higher global self-worth, the stresses were decreased. 2. When the first graders in Junior High School experienced higher global self-worth and social supports from their friends, family, teacher, the stresses were decreased. 3. The first graders in Junior High School experienced more stresses than the 5th graders in Elementary School in parent-related and academic-related domains. But the first graders in Junior High School experienced less stresses than the 5th graders in Elementary School in friend-related domains. 4. The path analysis showed that social supports from friends and family explained 15% of the stresses for the 5th graders in elementary school. Social support from friends, family, and teacher explained 28% of the stresses for the first graders in Junior High School. 5. For the 5th graders in Elementary School, social supports from friends and family had direct influences on the global self-worth. And the global self-worth had direct influence on children's stresses. But for the first graders in Junior High School, social supports from friends, family, and teacher had direct influences on the global self-worth. And the social supports from friends had direct and indirect effects on children's stresses. 6. For predicting the stresses, the most significant variable was the global self-worth for the 5th graders in Elementary School and the first graders in Junior High School.
