고령자용 피트니스 압박웨어 착용시의 객관적 인체생리 평가 및 주관적 만족도 평가 (Objective Physiology Evaluation and Subjective Satisfaction Evaluation when Wearing Fitness Compression Wear for the Elderly)

  • Muscle reduction owing to aging causes changes in physical function among the elderly. Fitness compression wear reduces fatigue by compressing the main muscles, expanding blood vessels, and rapidly discharging lactic acid. The effect of clothing pressure when wearing fitness compression wear for the elderly was objectively and subjectively evaluated for six women aged 55-64 years. The evaluation clothes were three types of tops and bottoms, one type of design (A) preferred among the existing compression wear, and two types of design (B and C). The objective evaluation items included clothing pressure, blood flow, surface temperature, and subjective satisfaction. It was found that clothing A had the highest clothing pressure in the straight posture and five fitness movements. Blood flow increased the most when wearing the evaluation clothing. The surface temperature was found to be the highest for clothing C, and subjective satisfaction was found to be the best when wearing evaluation clothing B. If the tensile strength was low and the tensile elongation was high, as in evaluation clothing B, it was recognized as appropriate clothing pressure, and the subject was subjectively satisfied. When manufacturing fitness compression wear in the future, it will be possible to increase users' objective and subjective satisfaction with wearing it, if the incision of the garment were placed at the location of the line of non-extension (LoNE), and appropriate material characteristics are applied.

공동주택단지 내 휘트니스 센터 시설현황 분석에 관한 연구 (The Present Status Analysis of Interior Planning in a Fitness Center Inside an Apartment Complex)

  • Lately due to the sudden growth of the construction of an apartment complex in domestic market, many construction companies are eager to provide various public facilities to increase the apartment distribution rate. An introduction of a fitness center is popularized as a part of such development. There has been a continuing development in a private fitness based on analyzing the user's data. However a public fitness is quite different from the private in terms of a user's classification, preference rate, the pattern of use, and location which requires a different facility plan. Nevertheless, all these days a public fitness in an apartment house has been developed without a specific facility plan based on relevant materials. It is worried that such development would cause the facilities not to function as appropriate resident facilities and sink to idle ones. Therefore the purpose of this paper is to make the standard considered in facility planning in future and the base to guide an applying method. In the paper the present condition of fitness centers inside apartment houses has been compared to analyze the progress of the existing facilities and the appropriateness of the organization and the structure division. The result of the research shows that public resident facilities is not the place to perform passive role for fixed activities but one to form a community through the human relationship based on the facility. Therefore a fitness center inside the apartment complex have to be designed to provide service and leisure space as one of main community facilities for residents. To obtain this purpose, when choosing facilities of an apartment complex, first of all the residents' standard of living, apartment size, residents' distinction rate of age and sex, the needs of the times should be fully considered Secondly, the size of each facility space have to be decided based on the practical data analysis in facility use such as space preference, average staying time. Also, future living culture requires the change of the function and space according to the change of social values, so continuing research and data analysis are required to related to fitness center inside an apartment complex in order to present systematic approaching method and the paper will be expected to be a little step toward it.

비만도와 체력이 비만 아동의 자기 효능감, 삶의 질, 자아개념에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of BMI and Physical Ability on Self-efficacy, Quality of Life, and Self-esteem in Overweight and Obese Children)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등학교 4-6학년을 대상으로 첫째, 비만도에 따른 아동의 심리사회적 적응과 체력 수준의 차이를 밝히고, 둘째, 비만도와 체력이 과체중 이상 아동의 심리사회적 적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 과체중 이상 아동은 '한국 비만 아동의 신체 활동과 건강(KOCPA)' 연구의 비만 캠프 프로그램에서, 대조군 아동은 서울 시내 초등학교에서 표준 성장도표의 체질량지수를 기준으로 모집되었다. 심리사회적 변인으로 자아 효능감 검사(식이 자아 효능감, 체중 조절 효능감, 신체 효능감), 자아개념검사, 소아용 삶의 질 검사가 사용되었으며, 신체 계측 및 체력은 직접 측정되었다. 연구 결과, 비만도가 증가할수록 심리사회적 적응과 체력 수준이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 과체중 및 비만 아동은 정상체중 대조군에 비해 유의하게 낮은 효능감 및 자아개념, 삶의 질을 보고하였다. 과체중 및 비만 아동을 대상으로 심리사회적 적응에 비만도와 체력, 두 변인의 상호작용이 미치는 영향을 알아본 결과, 체력이 좋을수록 높은 체중조절 효능감, 신체 효능감, 삶의 질이 예측되었다. 또한 비만도와 체력의 상호작용 효과가 비만 아동의 자아개념 수준을 예측하였는데, 이는 비만도가 그리 높지 않은 아동들은 체력 수준의 향상이 자아개념을 유지할 것이라고 예측 가능하지만 비만도가 상대적으로 매우 높을 경우에는 우선적으로 비만도의 감소가 우선적으로 이루어져야 함을 시사한다. 본 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 함의와 한계점에 대해 논의하였다.

한국 여성 노인 3D 스캔 데이터를 활용한 피트니스 동작별 체표면적 분석 (Analysis of Body Surface Area by Fitness Motion Using 3D Scan Data of Korean Elderly Female)

  • The present study provides reference data required for the design of clothing for the elderly by analyzing the body surface area during fitness motion based on 3D scan data of Korean elderly women. This study was conducted with the procedures of (1) survey of motions and main muscles for fitness, (2) acquisition of 3D scan data, and (3) analysis of rate of change for body surface area during fitness motion. Acquisition of 3D body scan data was obtained from seven elderly females (age: 64-77). We selected 66 anatomical landmarks (40 upper body and 22 lower body) by referring to previous studies. Body surface was segmented by connecting the landmarks marked on the 3D scan data acquired. Analysis of body surface area was conducted in terms of the change rate of surface area in 9 postures of elbow 0°, 90° and 180° for flexion, shoulder 90°, 180° for flexion, shoulder 0°, 180° for abduction, hip 90° for flexion, and knee 90° for flexion compared to the those in the standing posture. The amount of changes in body surface area were 12%-62% in the upper body, 15%-77% in the arm, and 10%-51% in the lower body. A future study on the rate of change of body surface length is needed; in addition, a study on how to apply the results of body surface area and body surface length analysis to clothing pattern design is also necessary.

간이식 수혜자의 삶의 질 예측모형 (A Structural Model on Quality of Life for Recipients of Liver Transplants)

  • Purpose: This study was done to construct a quality of life (QOL) model for recipients of a liver transplant. Method: In consideration of the main factors influencing QOL in recipient of liver transplants, a hypothetical model was constructed with 16 paths. A questionnaire was used to collect data from recipients of liver transplants who were being followed at one of 3 university hospitals. For the final analysis, there were 189 completed questionnaires and the hypothetical model was verified through covariance structure using LISREL program. Results: Overall fitness indices of hypothetical model were GFI= .99, AGFI= .97, NNFI= .96 and RMR=.020. After considering modification indices and paths that proved not to be significant and to improve model fitness, the hypothetical model was modified. In the final model, 3 paths from the hypothetical model were excluded. Overall fitness indices of the final model were GFI= .99, AGFI= .98, NNFI= .98 and RMR= .020. Eleven of fifteen paths proved to be significant. QOL was influenced by duration after transplantation, perceived health status, self-esteem, uncertainty, social support, self efficacy and depression and these variables explained 65% of the variance. Conclusion: This study presents a theoretical model for QOL for recipients of a liver transplant. Based on the results of this study and to improve QOL for recipients of a liver transplant, it is suggested that interventions to re-enforce self efficacy and self-help are needed.

유아복 제품치수 인지도 및 맞음새 조사 (A Study on Fitness and Awareness of Sizing System of Infants′Wear)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide for the basic data useful to the effective production. For this purpose, 180 Korean mothers who bring up from newborns to four-year-old babies were sampled to survey the problems on size occurred by wearing and purchasing the Infants'Wear and positively identify the factors affecting the fitness. Data is processed by a computer(SAS) and analyzed by using frequency, perentage, mean, χ²-test, Duncan-test. The main results of this study are as follows ; 1. Consumers'awareness of sizing system of Infant's wear tent to present relatively high and tend to purchase their infants'wear larger than actual sizes or that consumers'preferences depend little on size adaptation. 2. As a result of analyzing the part not fit, neck circumference, waist circumference, total length, neck back-waist length is short, sleeve length, pants length, shoulder length is big. In all, it has been found through this study that fitness and awareness of sizing system of Infant's Wear in purchasing infants'wear was influenced by many external factors. Therefore, in order to maximize the size adaptability for infants, Infants'Wear must be present the reasonable sizes and specifications for infants'wear in consideration of domestic and foreign specifications and infants'health condition.

Optimum design of stiffened plates for static or dynamic loadings using different ribs

  • The main requirements of modern welded metal structures are the load-carrying capacity (safety), fitness for production, and economy. The primary objective of attaching longitudinal stiffeners is to improve the buckling strength of relatively thin compression panels. This paper gives several comparisons for stiffened plates with different loadings (static, dynamic), different shape of stiffeners (flat, L-shape, trapezoidal), different steel grades, and different welding technologies (SMAW, GMAW, SAW), different costs to show the necessity of a combination of design, fabrication and economic aspects. Safety and fitness for production are guaranteed by fulfilling the design and fabrication constraints. The economy is achieved by minimizing the cost function. It is shown that the optimum sizes depend on the welding technology, the material yield stress, the profile of the stiffeners, the load cycles and the place of the production.

운동/피트니스앱 속성이 앱 활용에 미치는 영향: 자기결정성 이론을 기반으로 한 융복합적 관점에서의 탐구 (The effect of Attributes of Exercise/Fitness Apps on App Usage: A Convergence Perspective Based on the Self-Determination Theory)

  • 본 연구는 1)개인의 운동/피트니스 앱 속성에 대한 인식과 2) 운동/피트니스 행위에 대한 동기가 앱에 대한 유용성 인식 및 앱 활용에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 운동/피트니스 앱을 이용하는 20-30대 남녀 323명을 대상으로 조사한 결과, 기본심리욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 앱의 속성이 이용자들로 하여금 앱의 유용성을 인식하도록 만드는 중요한 요인인 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 사용하고 있는 운동/피트니스 앱이 자율성 및 유능성 관련 속성을 갖고 있다고 인식할수록, 해당 앱을 더욱 유용하게 평가하는 경향이 있었다. 관계성 관련 속성 인식은 앱 유용성 인식에 주효과는 없는 것으로 나타났으나, 개인의 운동에 대한 자율적 동기와 상호작용효과가 나타났다. 또한 이들 기본심리 욕구와 관련된 속성에 대한 인식은 인식된 유용성을 통해 간접적으로 앱 활용에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 건강앱이라는 정보기술을 심리 및 보건학의 융복합적 관점에서 연구한 본 연구의 이러한 결과는 건강앱 개발 및 평가에 관한 실무적 함의를 제공한다.

셀프 피트니스 의류 개발을 위한 근전도 센싱 위치 연구 (A Study of Sensing Locations for Self-fitness Clothing base on EMG Measurement)

  • Recently, interest in monitoring health and sports is growing because of the emphasis on wellness, which is accelerating the development and commercialization of smart clothing for biosignal monitoring. In addition to exerciseeffect monitoring clothing that tracks heart rate and respiration, recently developed clothing makes it possible to monitor muscle balance using electromyogram (EMG). The electrode for EMG have to attached to an accurate location in order to obtain high-quality signals in surface EMG measurement. Therefore, this study develops monitoring clothing suitable for different types of human bodies and aims to extract suitable range of EMG according to movements in order to develop self-fitness monitoring clothing based on EMG measurement. This study identified and attached electrodes on six upper muscles and two lower muscles of ten males in their 20s. After selecting six main motions that create a load on muscles, the 8-ch wireless EMG system was used to measure amplitude value, noise, SNR and SNR (dB) in each part and statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 20.0. As a result, the suitable range for EMG measurement to apply to clothing was identified as four parts in musculus pectoralis major; three parts in muscle rectus abdominis, two parts each in shoulder muscles, backbone erector, biceps brachii, triceps brachii, and musculus biceps femoris; and four part in quadriceps muscle of thigh. This was depicted diagrammatically on clothing, and the EMG-monitoring sensing locations were presented for development of self-fitness monitoring.

메디신볼을 활용한 체중이동 트레이닝이 초보 골퍼의 체력과 골프수행력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Weight Shift Training by Medicine Ball on Physical Fitness and Golf Performance in Beginner Golfer)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 교양 골프를 수강하는 초보 골퍼 남자대학생 20명(운동군 10명, 통제군 10명)을 대상으로 8주간 메디신볼 던지기를 활용한 체중이동 트레이닝이 골프 관련 주요 체력 요인인 근력과 유연성, 골프수행력인 헤드스피드와 비거리에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 있다. 주요 처치였던 메디신볼 던지기 트레이닝은 수업 시작 후 5주차부터 9주차까지 4주간은 3kg의 메디신볼을, 10주차부터 14주차까지 4주간은 5kg의 메디신볼을 허리 높이와 어깨 높이로 골프 스윙과 유사하게 어드레스, 백스윙, 폴로스루 동작으로 메디신볼 던지기 트레이닝을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 메디신볼 던지기를 활용한 체중이동 트레이닝은 골프의 주요 체력 요인인 근력과 유연성에 유의한 차이를 나타냈으며, 골프수행력인 헤드스피드와 비거리에서도 유의한 결과를 나타냈다. 따라서 결론적으로 초보 골프 수강생들에게 중량있는 메디신볼 던지기를 활용한 체중이동 트레이닝은 골퍼의 체력 요인인 근력과 유연성의 향상은 물론 골프수행력인 헤드스피드와 비거리 향상에 긍정적인 변화를 가져와 준비운동을 겸한 주운동으로서도 매우 효과적인 트레이닝법이라고 사료된다.
