The correlation between noise and vibration by a heavy-weight floor impact was studied. The triggering technique was used for increasing the reliability and stability to measure the level of sound pressure, sound intensity and vibration acceleration. The simple finite element and rigid body analysis method were suggested to calculate the natural frequencies of the multi-layer floor system. The result show that the isolation material adapted to reduce the light-weight floor impact noise, causing the natural frequency lower, make resonance with dominant driving frequency, and increase the noise level very sharply. Therefore the noise level Peak in the region of low frequency, below 63Hz, would be related with the natural frequencies of the floor system.

Lately concerns about structure have been increased by advantages of floor impact noise, poilitical induction and changeability. Hence, Flat Plate Structure has been constructed increasingly. This study shows the comparison of the performance of sound insulation of Flat Plate Structure System and the existing Wall Structure. For this study, taking the same level organization of Daelim Architectural Environmental Research Center, I found the performance of sound insulation between the upper and lower floors about Wall Structure and Flat Plate Structure. Consequently, the performance of sound insulation between upper and lower floors of Flat Plate Structure was 3-5dB higher was approximately 3-5dB higher than one of Wall Structure. Especially, the performance of sound insulation on the upper floor was 1-3dB higher than on the lower floor. In addition, as the result of comparing radiation sound which radiates from the wall of lower floors with each structure system, Flat Plate Structure was about 4dB higher with Rw than Wall Structure. As we see totally, the performance of sound insulation of Flat Plate Structure is highter than one of the Wall Structure. It is 3-5dB higher and the main reason for this result depends on the existence of the wall which can radiate sound and nonexistence.

The purpose of this study was radiographic analysis of the morphology of maxillary sinus in adolescents and adults. In order to analize the morphology of maxillary sinus in view point of anteroposterior width of medial wall, vertical distance between antral floor and nasal floor level, anterior extension, distance between antral floor and maxillary 1st molar apex, and types of lower border of maxillary sinus, specialized maxillary projection and periapical view with paralleling technique was taken. The author examined orthopantomograms and intraoral standard views taken from 400 adolescents and adults ranged 15-65 year-old. The obtained results were as follows: 1. The antero-posterior width of medial wall of maxillary sinus was 32.80mm in 15-19 year-old group, 33.86㎜ in 20-24 year-old group, 34.09㎜ in 25-29 year-old group, and 33.67㎜ in 30-65 year-old group, and the left maxillary sinus was somewhat smaller than the right. 2. The vertical distance between antral floor and nasal floor level was 8.49㎜ in 15-19 year-old group, 9.05㎜ in 20-24 year-old group, 8.95㎜ in 25-29 year-old group, and 8.32㎜ in 30-65 year-old group. 3. The order of anterior extension of maxillary sinus were distal half of canine, mesial half of canine, mesial half of 1st premolar, and distal half of 1st premolar. 4. The distance between antral floor and maxillary 1st molar were 4.36㎜ in 15-19 year-old group, 4.77㎜ in 20-24 year-old group, 3.58㎜ in 25-29 year-old group, and 2.33㎜ in 30-65 year-old group. 5. The order of the types of lower border of maxillary sinus were entire downward type, close type, partially downward type, waving type, separating type, and indistinct. In the types of antral floor, there was a tendency to increase the seperating type with age.
The purpose of this study is to analysis of propagation characteristics for floor impact noise in attendance upon investigating standard of insulation performance, measurement and evaluation, understanding characteristics of a measuring factor for floor impact noise in apartment houses. Four cases which was before occupied apartment in Daegu was selected for experiment. Floor impact noise of measurement and evaluation method which are specified in the Korea Standard 2810-1, 2810-2, 2863-1 and 2863-2 was selected for this study. As the result of this study, 1) Especially, there is not a difference for apartment size, but the apartment of 40py type is lower than 30py's about $1\~2\;dB$ for light-weighted and heavy weighted impact sound. 2) The floor impact sound insulation performance is similar about measurement location of the same floor structure. 3) The floor impact sound insulation performance is not a difference about the slab area.
In apartment houses, said to be similar to a typical housing form, every household share the walls and floors. Many problems inevitably accompany such as an arrangement, as noise and vibration are shared among households. When investigating the percentage of apartment resident's dissatisfaction with housing environments, discontent due to noise ranks the highest. Among many different kinds of noises, noise such as floor crashing sounds show the highest indication rate in the residents' comparison of discontent. Therefore, it is the practice of insulating against noises such as floor crashing sounds that improves the apartment house environments. The factors influencing the floor impact sound insulation include floor finishing materials, shock absorbing floors (slabs included), and ceiling structures. The ceilings of the apartment houses, currently built in Korea, are set up with lower parts of slabs and paper finishing, or with double floors for protecting against floor impact sounds in order to improve the sound insulating performance. The most common the method of ceiling structure construction consists of 'wood boarded frames +Gypsum boards + ceiling papers', which is called the wood boarded frame method. This study aimed to measures and evaluates floor impact sound insulation by which the ceiling space are widened according to suppression system is added in apartment house ceiling structure.
As the desire for high performance buildings increases, it is increasingly evident that engineers require reliable methods for the estimation of seismic demands on both structural and non-structural components. To this extent, improved tools for the prediction of floor spectra would assist in the assessment of acceleration sensitive non-structural and secondary components. Recently, a new procedure was successfully developed and tested for the simplified construction of floor spectra, at various levels of elastic damping, atop single-degree-of-freedom structures. This paper extends the methodology to multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) supporting systems responding in the elastic range, proposing a simplified modal combination approach for floor spectra over upper storeys and accounting for the limited filtering of the ground motion input that occurs over lower storeys. The procedure is tested numerically by comparing predictions with floor spectra obtained from time-history analyses of RC wall structures of 2- to 20-storeys in height. Results demonstrate that the method performs well for MDOF systems responding in the elastic range. Future research should further develop the approach to permit the prediction of floor spectra in MDOF systems that respond in the inelastic range.
The present study was conducted for a comparative evaluation of wet and dry floor heating systems using geothermal heat pump. We circulated hot water from geothermal heat pump which is $10{\sim}15^{\circ}C$ lower than that from boiler. In order to access indoor temperature ($25^{\circ}C$) it took 74 minutes for dry type and 247 minutes for wet type. Average floor temperature was $23.9^{\circ}C$ for wet type and $32.7^{\circ}C$ for dry type. Energy saving rate gradually increased by 66% after 138 minutes. As a result, in case of floor heating system using low temperature circulation water, dry type was more practicable for stable floor heating than wet type in terms of floor temperature and access time to indoor set temperature.

In order to synthesis of the materials and modulus for floor impact sound reduction, we investigated effect on dynamic elastic modulus of floor impact sound reduction materials and module made by inorganic porous materials, EVA chips and so on. We find correlation property between dynamic elastic modulus and light-weight impact noise. And we measured the dynamic elastic modulus of materials and module for floor impact sound reduction. And we predicted reduction efficiency on floor Impact Noise of those. The dynamic elastic modulus is reduced by increase of filler contents and filler species. When the materials for floor impact sound reduction is consisted of l5wt% EVA Chip and l5wt% inorganic porous materials, its dynamic elastic material is the lowest. And when the module is consisted of PE (upper side), PS embossing board(lower side) and the materials for floor impact sound reduction(middle), its dynamic elastic material is the lowest.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of thermal comfort index and to present the thermal comfort range through regression analyses and experiment in a radiant floor heating system laboratory. The results were compared to the comfort zone of ISO-7730, and the applicability of the thermal comfort index to a radiant floor heating system was studied. On comparing the sedentary posture on the floor to sitting on the chair, the comfort zone and the neutral point of comfort index showed different values. It is considered that the influence of conduction from floor to the human is sufficient. Moreover, we could find a correlation between the thermal sensation votes of subjects, and the comfort indexes were lower than those by calculation.

The Characteristics of noise and vibration by heavy-weight floor impact sound was studied. Resonance frequency increased a little in structures that use damping material in living room and bedroom, and acceleration waves length that respond became short, and displayed aspect that oscillation level decreases. Result that measure sound pressure level, structure that compare and applies damping materials with structure that apply the resilient materials from 63Hz lower part that impact energy is concentrated in energy spectrum of heavy-weight floor impact sound displayed result that sound pressure, level decreases remarkably. Therefore, according to use of damping materials, confirmed reduction effect of heavy-weight floor impact sound.
