Sonic nozzles have been a standard device for measurement of steady state gas flow, as recommended in ISO 9300. This paper introduces two sonic nozzles of diameter ${\Phi}$ 0.03 mm and ${\Phi}$ 0.2 mm precisely machined according to ISO 9300. The constant volume flow meter(CVFM), readily set up in the Vacuum center of KRISS. was used to calibrate the discharge coefficients of both nozzles. The calibration results were shown to determine them within the 3% expanded measurement uncertainty. Calibrated sonic nozzles were found to be applicable for precision measurement of steady state gas flow in the vacuum process in the ranges of 0.6~1,800 cc/min. Those flow conditions are equivalent to the fine gas flow with Reynolds numbers of 26~12,100. Those encouraging results confirm that calibrated sonic nozzles enable precision measurement of extremely low gas flow encountered very often in th vacuum processes. Both calibrated sonic nozzles are proven to provide the precision measurement of the volume flow rate of the dry vacuum pump within one percent difference in reference to CVFM. Calibrated sonic nozzles are applied to a new 'in-situ and in-field' equipment designed to measure the volume flow rate of vacuum pumps in the semiconductor and flat display processes. Furthermore, they can provide other applications to flow control devices in vacuum, such as MFC, etc.
Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) techniques are widely used in diagnosis of vascular disorders such as hemadostenosis and aneurism. Especially, phase contrast (PC) MRA technique, which is a typical non contrast-enhanced MRA technique, provides not only the anatomy of blood vessels but also flow velocity. In this study, we developed the 2- and 3-dimensional PC MRA pulse sequences for a low magnetic field MRI system. Vessel images were acquired using 2D and 3D PC MRA and the velocities of the blood flow were measured in the superior sagittal sinus, straight sinus and the confluence of the two. The 2D PC MRA provided the good quality of vascular images for large vessels but the poor quality for small ones. Although 3D PC MRA gave more improved visualization of small vessels than 2D PC MRA, the image quality was not enough to be used for diagnosis of the small vessels due to the low SNR and field homogeneity of the low field MRI system. The measured blood velocities were $25.46{\pm}0.73cm/sec$, $24.02{\pm}0.34cm/sec$ and $26.15{\pm}1.50cm/sec$ in the superior sagittal sinus, straight sinus and the confluence of the two, respectively, which showed good agreement with the previous experimental values. Thus, the developed PC MRA technique for low field MRI system is expected to provide the useful velocity information to diagnose the large brain vessels.

Wireless communication in an urban area, the accurate prediction of wave propagation characteristics are very important to determine communication service areas, select optimal base-stations, and design cells, etc. The CCIR model is a propagation prediction model using a shadowing by the buildings in an urban area. This model represent the shadowing rate by the means of the effect of shadowing between base-station and mobile unit in a shaped linear plane. But, This one occurred a lot of prediction error because it did not consider that density area by the buildings and terrain configurations by the hill and mountain on Line-Of-Sight. In this thesis, an improved propagation prediction model is proposed to reduce prediction error. We presents a new equation, which is using the SAS. This equation is associated with the shadow height by the buildings that considers the topology and the number of blocks that can affect the building shadow in the Line-Of-Sight. We measure the received electrical field level of base-station that high density area, medium density area, and low density area, and then compare and analysis the result to prediction of CCIR model and proposed model. The result compared with the measurement, the proposed model has the improvement of 9.71dB in a high density area, 9.66dB in a medium density area, and 4.02dB in a low density area better than the CCIR model. The result compared with the measurement, the proposed model has the improvement of 9.71dB in a high density area, 9.66dB in a medium density area, and 4.02dB in a low density area better than the CCIR model.

IT is widely used for biomechanics and AHRS sensor also be highlighted with small sized characteristics and price competitiveness in the field of motion measurement and analysis of sports. In this paper, we attach the AHRS to the figure skate shoes to measure the motion data like spin, forward/backward, jump, in/out edge and toe movement. In order to reduce the measurement error, we have adopted the sensors equipped with Madgwick complementary filtering and also use Euler angle to quaternion conversion to reduce the Gimbal-lock effect. We test and experiment the accuracy and execution time of the pattern recognition algorithms like PCA, ICA, LDA, SVM to show the recognition possibility of it on the basic motions of figure skating from the 9-axis trajectory information which is gathered from AHRS sensor. From the result, PCA, ICA have low accuracy, but LDA, SVM have good accuracy to use for recognition of basic motions of figure skating.
The Charge Trap Flash (CTF) memory device is a replacement candidate for the NAND Flash device. In this study, Pt/$Al_2O_3/La_2O_3/SiO_2$/Si multilayer structures with lanthanum oxide charge trap layers were fabricated for nonvolatile memory device applications. Aluminum oxide films were used as blocking oxides for low power consumption in program/erase operations and reduced charge transports through blocking oxide layers. The thicknesses of $SiO_2$ were from 30 $\AA$ to 50 $\AA$. From the C-V measurement, the largest memory window of 1.3V was obtained in the 40 $\AA$ tunnel oxide specimen, and the 50 $\AA$ tunnel oxide specimen showed the smallest memory window. In the cycling test for reliability, the 30 $\AA$ tunnel oxide sample showed an abrupt memory window reduction due to a high electric field of 9$\sim$10MV/cm through the tunnel oxide while the other samples showed less than a 10% loss of memory window for $10^4$ cycles of program/erase operation. The I-V measurement data of the capacitor structures indicated leakage current values in the order of $10^{-4}A/cm^2$ at 1V. These values are small enough to be used in nonvolatile memory devices, and the sample with tunnel oxide formed at $850^{\circ}C$ showed superior memory characteristics compared to the sample with $750^{\circ}C$ tunnel oxide due to higher concentration of trap sites at the interface region originating from the rough interface.
In this paper, we propose a method to develop a multimeter which is used for measuring electric signals in industrial field by using battery and display of smart phone. Most of the multimeters that are linked to existing smartphones are connected to Bluetooth, which is inconvenient for battery use and low in measurement accuracy. To improve this, we developed smart multimeter that can supply power and data at the same time by USB OTG method which can be used by sharing the power of smartphone. We also developed a smart multimeter that can measure resistance, DC voltage, current, AC voltage and current. Developed an Android app with a button that displays measurement data and can select the type of electric signal to be measured, and tests whether the manufactured system is operating normally or not. Respectively. The results of this study confirm that it is possible to fabricate a smart meter that has equal or better performance compared to existing instruments and does not require a separate power source or display, and it is expected to be a reference for the development of various smart instruments in the future.

Kinematic GPS surveying which can be obtained many three-dimensional topographical informations through a short-time measurement is being utilized mainly in the short base line of a few km and below The coordinate for the long base line depends on Static GPS surveying But it needs long time measurement. Therefore, the method which can decide a position of the long base line for a short time is being needed. To examine a possibility of an efficient use of kinematic GPS surveying of the long base line, this research has analysed an accuracy of the base line by static GPS surveying according to baseline distance, ephmeris, and observation time. As the results of research, I could see that accuracy was very low in case of the occurrence of cycle slip. When we use of precise ephmeris, we obtained 1ppm and less of accuracy with one-minute kinematic GPS surveying within 70km. If a lot of studies about the long baseline kinematic GPS surveying are processed, a topographical information necessary for each kind of construction field including land development could be utilized more efficiently.
Because of the wide plane and the curved field of CRT rear projection high definition television, its MTF(modulation transfer function) can't be easily measured by the usual forward testing method. Then we propose a backward testing method for the MTF so that the object plane and the image analyzer of forward testing are located at positions opposite each other. We prefer to use the backward testing method because the forward testing method has poor accuracy caused by very small numerical aperture, low spatial resolutions, and long depth of focus. We found that the backward testing method was very easy to align and had high repeatability. We confirmed the confidence of results obtained by the backward testing method in comparison with designed results.

Surface Image Velocity (SIV) is a technique which measures the surface velocity of river by using the principle of Paticle Image Velocimetry (PIV). The technique is economical and efficient way to measure velocity in rivers. The present paper aims to apply the technique to three rivers in Korea. It uses pairs of river surface images taken with two digital-cameras and reference points and cross section data which were acquired through plane survey. The performance of SIV was verified with automatic cart on an experimental flume. The test revealed that average error was less than 10 %, which assures that SIV can be used to measure velocity accurately. When it was applied to rivers with low water levels or rough weather condition, however, it showed the error about 20 %. If the problems of SIV technique are settled down, it can be one of the most convenient and economical ways to measure water discharge anytime and anywhere. And then it would be helpful to river management as developing a real-time river information system.

$CdIn_2S_4$ (110) films were grown on semi-insulating GaAs (100) by a hot wall epitaxy method. Using photocurrent (PC) measurement, the PC spectra in the temperature range of 30 and 10 K appeared as three peaks in the short wavelength region. It was found that three peaks, A-, B-, and C-excitons, correspond to the intrinsic transition from the valence band states of ${\Gamma}_4(z),\;{\Gamma}_5(x),\;and\;{\Gamma}_5(y)$ to the exciton below the conduction band state of ${\Gamma}_1(s)$, respectively. The 0.122 eV crystal field splitting and the 0.017 eV spin orbit splitting were obtained. Thus, the temperature dependence of the optical band gap obtained from the PC measurement was well described by $E_g$(T)=2.7116eV - $(7.65{\times}10^{-4}\;eV/K)T^2$/(425+T). But, the behavior of the PC was different from that generally observed in other semiconductors. The PC intensities decreased with decreasing temperature. This phenomenon had ever been reported at a PC experiment on the bulk crystals grown by the Bridgman method. From the relation of log $J_{ph}$ vs 1/T, where $J_{ph}$ is the PC density, two dominant levels were observed, one at high temperatures and the other at low temperatures. Consequently, the trapping centers due to native defects in the $CdIn_2S_4$ film were suggested to be the causes of the decrease in the PC signal with decreasing temperature.
