  • Identifying knowledge as the single most important asset ultimately defining organizational competitiveness, enterprises are trying to move towards knowledge-oriented practices. Such practices have given rise to learning and agile organization, This paper presents applied information technologies to realize the learning and agile organization, focusing on systems thinking. Firstly, in order to establish a framework for the systems thinking, an information systems development method based on process chain is proposed. Then, an agent-based microworld simulation approach is presented. The approaches provide visible and analytical information to knowledge workers so that they can have systems thinking capabilities eventually. Various microworlds on the top of the information system can be constructed with agents and simulated for possible business events. All decision makings are dynamic in nature. To let knowledge workers look ahead the possible outcomes of the whole relevant processes is the core capability of the approaches. Through watching, the knowledge workers would be able to acquire new insights or problem solving knowledge for the problem in hand.

  • In this paper, we propose new partial product compressor and ENMODL (Enhanced-NORA-MODL) CLA(Carry Look-ahead Adder) for high speed and low power multiplier. To reduce transistor count, area, power we developed two new-approaches. One is small size partial product compressor, the other is dynamic CMOS logic ENMODL CLA. The transistor count of new compressor is reduced by 11% as compared with that of conventional one. The speed of ENMODL CLA is increased by 6.27% as compared with NMODL CLA.

  • Echo and near-end crosstalk(NEXT) can be generated in two-wire duplex transmission. In this paper investigates how to cancel echoes of high speed communication. A pipeline algorithm is used to remove the echoes that high speed communication. It is least mean squared(LMS) algorithm based on the relaxed look-ahead concept, is focused on the pipelined LMS, and its performance is compared to that of the serial LMS algorithm. And we design pipelined adaptive filtering. In advanced of the hardware implementation with VHDL code the performance of pipelined LMS algorithm is verified by the computer simulation.

  • This paper proposes an autonomous navigation method for a nonholonomic mobile robot, based on the generalized Voronoi diagram (GVD). We define the look-ahead point for a given motion constraint to determine the direction of motion, which solves the problem of a minimum turning radius for the real nonholonomic mobile robot. This method can be used to direct the robot to explore an unknown environment and construct smooth feedback curves for the nonholonomic robot. As the trajectories can be smoothed, the position of the robot can be stabilized in the plane. The simulation results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed methods for the nonholonomic mobile robot. Furthermore, this approach is worth drawing on the experience of any other mobile robots.

  • Nowadays, the Laser image is used to realize multi-media show for events, an advertising media and 3D simulation, realization of video image and so on. It is a hot issue to realize the laser image like computer graphic image. The image used in laser projector is vector graphic image that is described by linking point to point. A computer makes this continuous vector graphic images so that the image shows as an animation. A control signal converted by a computer makes the laser projector draw image. Two motors and universal joint are used to realize 2D laser image in this study. Developing a controller applied Look-ahead algorithm and software to interface with personal computer, This study is the chief aim of improving difference of moving velocity that is appeared from edge of vector graphic image and disparity of graphic density.

  • The most important part in automated transport systems is steering control for lane keeping Most of systems developed so far have used the visual information for steering control. In this study, the steering control algorithm based on visual servoing has been developed and tested by applying it on Radio Controlled(R/C) model car equipped with one CCD camera. We also demonstrated the feasibility of using it as a pre-test car before the real car experiment in developing automated vehicles. In order to solve the problem of the limited spave and load of a model car, remote-brained approach has been taken. For steering control of a model car, the PD controller which uses the look ahead offset to generate control input has been implemented and the characteristics of the controller has been explained in view of kinematics. Some experimental results have been also illustrated so as to show the control performance and stability.

  • In this paper, a rule for dispatching operations, named the Most Dissimilar Resources (MDR) dispatching rule is presented. The MDR dispatching rule has been designed to maximize utilization of resources in a resource-constrained job shop with general precedence constraints. In shown that solving the above scheduling problem with the MDR dispatching rule is equivalent to multiple solving of the maximum clique problem. A graph theoretic approach is used to model the latter problem. The pairwise counting heuristic of computational time complexity O(n$^{2}$) is developed to solve the maximum clique problem. An attempt is made to combine the MDR dispatching rule with the existing look-ahead dispatching rules. Computational experience indicates that the combined MDR dispatching rules provide solutions of better quality and consistency than the dispatching rules tested in a resource-constrained job shop.

  • This letter studies the problem of exploiting multichannel diversity in a spectrum sharing system, where the secondary user (SU) sequentially explores channel state information on the licensed channels with time consumption. To maximize the expected achievable throughput for the SU, we formulate this problem as an optimal stopping problem, whose objective is to choose the right channel to stop exploration based on the observed signal-to-noise ratio sequence. Moreover, we propose a myopic but optimal rule, called one-stage look-ahead rule, to solve the stopping problem.

  • This paper proposes two new dynamic CMOS logic styles, called ZMODL (zipper-MODL) and EZMODL (enhanced-ZMODL), which can reduce more area dnd propagation delya than conventional MODL (multiple output domino logic). The 32-bit CLAs(carry look-ahead adder) are designed by ZMODL, EZMODL circuits, and their operations are verified by SPICE 3 with 2$\mu$ double metal CMOS parameters. The results shwo that the CLA designed by EZMODL circuit has achived 32-bit additin time of less than 4.8NS with VDD=5.0V and 8% of transistors cn be redcued, compared to the CLA designed by MODL. The EZMODL logic style can improve the performance in the high-speed computing circuits depending on the degree of recurrence.
