An Empirical Study on the Competition Factor Electronic Logistics Information and International Logistics Management (국제물류관리와 전자적물류정보의 경쟁요인에 관한 실증연구)

  • As Global industrial structure is diversified, multinational corporations accomplished fast internationalization to introduction of new management policy by development of an IT technology. Enterprise' business environment is changing transcending border. To overcome raging waves of change accident and to be secured enterprise's future, the logistics is recognized the third profit source joining in curtailment of sale enlargement, production cost. To seek cost saving or reform in logistics class that is last area of pursuit of profits within ancient city life in the fast lane from these viewpoint, importance of study that integrates and manages international logistics bases supply neck walk is emphasized. Specially, to meet on in terms of competitive power security regarding curtailment of logistics cost is available through link between logistics bases, various consumer's request, merchandise and service logistics management that supply fixed quantity as is reliable in right place at good season was embossed by point game plan of business management, and SCM efficiency anger of mortification international logistics activity importance of study that see at that dominate competitive advantage point bring. This study analyzes interrelation and presents model for integration of international logistics bases supply network with supply network habit at factor and supply chain, and supply network activity in integration of supply chain process and production. Also, it establishes following method of study to achieve study purpose for actual proof analysis for integration sequence of international logistics bases supply network. Specially, immersion of network and supply network, very high interrelation appeared by thing which is with international logistics base supply network integration. The integration of international logistics base supply network means that the enterprises which give trust and sincerity deal with market environment change positively and can decide proceeding of various cooperative work. Also, it means the possibility by necessity of cooperative relation and interdependence to continuous immersion and normative immersion, for the maintain of long business relations.

A Study on Decision Making Factors of Green Logistics Using Analytic Network Process (네트워크 분석과정을 이용한 환경물류의 의사결정 요인에 대한 연구)

  • According to appearance of a new competitive factor, as 'Green', Green Logistics becomes the important evaluation factor for many firms in emerging competitive environment. Despite this importance, the recognition level of Korean firms on Green Logistics lags behind that of leading companies in developed countries. In addition, the literature studies and practical strategies for systematic management control plans are very insufficient. In this paper, we establish decision making framework of Green Logistics by using ANP(analytic network process). Specifically, we suggest at first the overall concepts and issues of Green Logistics through literature studies. Next, we derive 6 clusters and 21 components forming the strategic green logistics, and then we conduct surveys for pairwise comparison of experts on Green Logistics and compute relative weights of the clusters, components and altanatives considering the feedback structure. We expect that the results of this study will be very helpful for managers to make strategic decisions.

  • The army of republic of korea have been continued to transform their logistics support system structure for better efficient logistics support system in preparation for the future environment. Logistics system has supply network structure which is connected by various units and supply network structure received attention as a factor of success of supply network. Many researchers have continuously researched inventory management, transportation or economy factors for supply network, but such a study on the one in military supply network structure analysis is still slower than the study of analysis of other factors until now. In this study, we identify military supply network structure influence factor by application of social network analysis method which is used broadly and analyze co-relationships between supply network structure influence factor and valued APL(average path length) as a criteria of efficiency of military supply network. By this study it has value of military supply network influence factor identification for the better military supply network fabrication.

  • Unlike the past, efforts must be made to interpret physical distribution from a network perspective as the service area expands spatially. In addition, logistics networks are undergoing rapid changes due to various changes in the environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in the structure of maritime cargo and the centrality of ports using social network analysis. Using the trade data of domestic maritime at five-year intervals, we investigated changes in the network structure and identified the main factors that affect the centrality of domestic ports. Ports with the highest centrality, which is seen as a port that plays the role of an intermediary, emerged in the order of Busan and Ulsan. This study predicts patterns of domestic cargo trade over the next 20 years based on changes in port centrality and understanding of maritime cargo network, and can be used as reference materials for risk preparation.

  • In modern marketing environment, we are more interested in logistics as industrial structure is complicated and globalized. Most companies focus on reducing the cost price. So a lot of companies study on cost estimation logistics. However, it Is very difficult to estimate the cost of logistics. Thus they mainly use linear method such as the simple distance of transportation. This study defines the cost of logistics, structure & network of military logistics and proposes the costing estimation model in the logistics. We apply to battle shoes which are the main clothing in the military. In the result, we found some differences on the rate of cost structure between military and civil companies. This study can be used directly to the decision making for optimal military logistics alternatives and contribute to the efficient operation of military budget.

A Study on Network of Interlocking Directors in Listed Logistics Industry (상장물류기업의 겸임이사 네트워크에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we explore the characteristics of directors' network structure and investigate the relationship among the network of board directors in the Korean logistics industry. Social network analysis reveals hidden patterns of the interlocking directors' network. We construct a directors' network index using social network analysis of the Korean logistics industry. Empirical results have showed that of the 23 companies analyzed, the network index of Korean Air is the highest. The interlocking network index of Korean Air, Hanjin and Hanjin Logistics Company is 0.4, 0.32 and 0.24 respectively. Korean Air has a strong central interlocking network that can create social power through the logistics industry. Our paper contributes to the broad literature in two ways. First, unlike the existing literature on director structure, this paper concentrates on the relationship among interlocking directors. Second, logistics firms need to be aware of the importance of networks and recognize the occurrence of power.

  • At the present, e-commerce takes the place of existing transaction form in structure in the world trade by advancement of Information Technology and diffusion of Internet. There is no exceptions of this tendency even in industry of maritime and logistics. So, global shipping lines and logistics companies try to construct the e-Business network system for increasing their competitiveness in an are of cyber. However, in Korea, most of companies prefer "final handshake" as the traditional way of transaction to "e-commerce", because they bear a distrust in mind about the outflow of transaction information and security of settlement. So, number of companies using e-commerce is very small, and this situation causes the limited factor for activating the transaction structure of it. The rate of using e-commerce in logistics industry is lower than other industries, even more higher effectiveness is expected when they use it. Especially, it is very necessary not only e-commerce but also e-Logistics which can serve information of freight cost on cargo flow, operation cost and schedule, and tracing information of cargo. Increasing the necessity of e-Logistics, this study research the rate rf using e-Logistics focused on maritime and logistics companies, and analyze the transaction form among members of these industries for improving them. In detail, this paper examine the drivers for activating e-Logistics, and present the effective factors for a successful development of these industries.

  • Among various environmental issues, those for worn-out products are increasingly important due to rapid development and improvement of products, shortages of dumping sites and waste-incineration facilities, and legislation pressures and customer recognitions to protect the environment. Under such circumstances, collection and product recovery activities give rise to additional material flows from customers back to collectors and reprocessors. Reverse logistics, the opposite direction of the conventional forward logistics, is concerned with the management of this material flow. In this paper, we consider the emerging concept of reverse logistics. First, the concept of sustainable development is explained to explain the philosophical background of various environmental issues. Second, we explain the basics of reverse logistics, which includes the overall structure and the classification of network types. Finally, we review the previous research articles, especially in the aspect of industrial engineering, after classifying the decision problems into : (a) product recovery strategy; (b) network design and operation; (c) inventory management; (d) disassembly problems; and (e) remanufacturing problems.

  • The rapid growth of mobile-based online shopping and the appearance of untact business initiated by COVID-19 has led to an explosive increase in demand for logistics services such as delivery services. In order to respond to the rapidly growing demand, most logistics and distribution companies are working to improve customer service levels through the establishment of a full-filament center in the city center. However, due to social factors such as high land prices and traffic congestion, it becomes more difficult to establish the logistics facilities in the city center. In this study, it has been proposed the way to choose the candidate locations for the shared distribution centers among the space nearby the tall-gate which can be idle after the smart tolling service is widely extended. In order to evaluate the candidate locations, it has been evaluated the centralities of all candidates using social network analysis (SNA). To understand the result considering the characteristics of centrality, the network structure was regenerated based on the distance and the traveling time, respectively. It is possible to refer the result of evaluation based on the cumulative relative importance to choose the best set of candidates.

An Analysis of ESG keywords in the logistics industry using SNA methodology: Using news article and sustainable management report (SNA 기법을 활용한 물류산업 ESG 키워드 분석: 뉴스기사 및 지속가능경영보고서를 활용하여)

  • This study aims to find out the ESG management keywords in the logistics industry through social network analysis using news article and sustainable management reports. In recent years, global climate change and Covid-19 have spurred companies to step up their new management system called ESG management. ESG is a combination of Environment, Social, and Governance. In the past, companies' financial performance was the most important, but in the current investment market, the movement to reflect ESG management factors in investment decisions is strengthening. This study aims to find out degree centrality, betweenness centrality, and closeness centrality through social network analysis after collecting related keywords to derive ESG management issues of logistics companies. This study collected 2,359 news articles searched under the keywords "ESG", "Logistics". In addition, data on ESG activities were also used for analysis by referring to the sustainable management reports of logistics companies. As a result of the analysis of degree centrality, it was found that ESG management of logistics companies is in progress, focusing on small enterprises and eco-friendly keywords, and is concentrated on social responsibility and eco-friendly activities. In the betweenness centrality analysis, logistics companies such as HMM and CJ Logistics were derived in a high ranking. In the closeness centrality analysis, eco-friendly keywords topped the list, while the number of keywords related to governance was relatively small, suggesting that logistics companies need to improve their governance structure.
