Relics are life traces of ancestors, and they are good data for giving an idea about space locations of that period. This study classifies relics according to their type, and for each classified group metrical analysis is carried out using GIS and triangle diagram. The criteria used for analysis of relics' locations are elevation, road accessibility and water accessibility. The analysis results show that every relic has its own distribution characteristics according to the time and the type. This means high possibility of approaching a geographical focus on relics distribution and location. While historical period was taking over prehistorical, relics locations moved from the points of great usage water supply possibility to the points of great traffic accessibility. Also, relics of the ruling class for each time period generally have good locations.
Purpose: This study was conducted to analyze the air flow characteristics in a plant factory with different inlet and outlet locations using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Methods: In this study, the flow was assumed to be a steady-state, incompressible, and three-dimensional turbulent flow. A realizable k-${\varepsilon}$ turbulent model was applied to show more reasonable results than the standard model. A CFD software was used to perform the numerical simulation. For validation of the simulation model, a prototype plant factory ($5,900mm{\times}2,800mm{\times}2,400mm$) was constructed with two inlets (${\Phi}250mm$) and one outlet ($710mm{\times}290mm$), located on the top side wall. For the simulation model, the average air current speed at the inlet was $5.11m{\cdot}s^{-1}$. Five cases were simulated to predict the airflow pattern in the plant factory with different inlet and outlet locations. Results: The root mean square error of measured and simulated air current speeds was 13%. The error was attributed to the assumptions applied to mathematical modelling and to the magnitude of the air current speed measured at the inlet. However, the measured and predicted airflow distributions of the plant factory exhibited similar patterns. When the inlets were located at the center of the side wall, the average air current speed in the plant factory was increased but the spatial uniformity was lowered. In contrast, if the inlets were located on the ceiling, the average air current speed was lowered but the uniformity was improved. Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the airflow pattern in the plant factory with multilayer cultivation shelves was greatly affected by the locations of the inlet and the outlet.

The purpose of this study was to observe mandibular condyle shape and position in an asymptomatic population. In order to carry out this study, 142 temporomandibular joints in 71 adults(35 males, 36 females), who were asymptomatic for temporomandibular joint disorders and had no history of prosthodontic or orthodontic treatments, were selected, and radiographed using the Accurd-200 head holder(Denar Co., U.S.A) for transcranial radiograms and the Sectography(Denar Co., U.S.A) for lateral individualized corrected tomograms. Mandibular condyles were classified morphologically and evaluated in positional relationships with articular fossae and articular eminences at centric occlusion and 1 inch mouth opening. The obtained results were as follows; 1. In the classification of mandibular condyle shape, the convex type was more prevalent in transcranial radiograms and tomograms taken at medial, central, and lateral locations. 2. In the mandibular condyle position at centric occlusion, the mandibular condyles were placed posterior to the center of articular fossae in transcranial radiograms and anterior to the center of articular fossae in tomograms taken at medial, central, and lateral locations. 3. In the mandibular condyle position in right and left TMJs at centric occlusion, the mandibular condyles were placed bilateral asymmetric relationships to the articular fossae in transcranial radiograms and tomograms taken at medial, central, and lateral locations. 4. In the mandibular condyle position at 1 inch mouth opening, the mandibular condyles were placed anterior to the articular eminences in transcranial radiograms and tomograms taken at central location and posterior to the articular eminences in tomograms taken at medial and lateral locations.
This study analyzes the satisfaction degree for menu quality of the regional cuisine in Gangwon province. The result of verifying hypotheses is as follows. For the satisfaction with the quality in direct services, it showed no similarity by education levels, locations, and income levels; however, there was a significant difference in satisfaction by gender, locations, and occupation. Males evaluated satisfaction with direct services higher than females, and Chun-Cheon and Sok-Cho residents felt more satisfied than Gang-Reung residents. By occupation, students and self-employed ones showed more satisfaction. For the satisfaction with indirect services, there was a significant difference in 1% of the similarity range by gender, locations, and occupation while no difference was shown in the other variables. Compared with the satisfaction with direct services, satisfaction with indirect services was low, which indicated the necessity of improving indirect services. Indirect services showed the same results of satisfaction by gender, locations, occupation as those of direct services. In particular, it showed high satisfaction among students.

A novel algorithm which computes the orientations and the locations of mobile robots with repeating feature of ceiling textures is proposed. For orientation computation, the relative angle between a strait line on a ceiling image and the center line of the robot is firstly computed. The relative angle is added to the global reference angles of straight lines of the ceiling and a group of robot orientation candidates is composed. The robot orientation is determined from such orientation candidate group by choosing the closest one to the previous robot orientation. Similarly, the location of the robot is determined from the robot location candidate group by choosing the closest one to the previous robot location, where robot location candidate group is composed by adding the relative location of the robot to global locations of neighboring nodes of the previous robot locations. The experiment has been done to test the accuracy of the algorithm in computing locations and orientations.
The object classification using the images' contents is a big challenge in computer vision. The superpixels' information can be used to detect and classify objects in an image based on locations. In this paper, we proposed a methodology to detect and classify the image's pixels' locations using enhanced bag of words (BOW). It calculates the initial positions of each segment of an image using superpixels and then ranks it according to the region score. Further, this information is used to extract local and global features using a hybrid approach of Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) and GIST, respectively. To enhance the classification accuracy, the feature fusion technique is applied to combine local and global features vectors through weight parameter. The support vector machine classifier is a supervised algorithm is used for classification in order to analyze the proposed methodology. The Pascal Visual Object Classes Challenge 2007 (VOC2007) dataset is used in the experiment to test the results. The proposed approach gave the results in high-quality class for independent objects' locations with a mean average best overlap (MABO) of 0.833 at 1,500 locations resulting in a better detection rate. The results are compared with previous approaches and it is proved that it gave the better classification results for the non-rigid classes.

In this paper, through the study on locations of structural transducers for active control of the radiated sound from the vibrating plate, the active structural acoustic control (ASAC) system is proposed. And, for the evaluation of the proposed location, the experiment of the active structural acoustic control is implemented using the multi-channel filtered-x LMS algorithm and an additional filter (Acoustic Prediction Filter) to estimate the radiated sound using the acceleration signals of the plate. The structural transducers are piezoceramic actuator (PZT) and accelerometer. PZT is used as an actuator to reduce the vibration and the radiated sound. To maximize the control performance, each PZT actuator is located at the position that has the largest control sensitivity of the plate bending moment in the direction of x and y coordinates and the optimal PZT location is validated experimentally. Also, to find the acoustic prediction filter accurately, two accelerometers are located at the positions that have the largest radiation efficiencies of the plate, and the proposed locations are validated by simulation using the Rayleigh integral. The multi-channel filtered-x LMS algorithm is introduced to control a complex 2-D structural vibration mode. Finding the locations of structural transducers for active structural acoustic control of the radiated sound, the active structural acoustic control (ASAC) system can be presented and validated by experiments using a real time control system.

In-depth analysis by secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) is very important for the development of electronic devices using multilayered structures, because the quantity and depth distribution of some elements are critical for the electronic properties. Correct determination of the interface locations is critical for the calibration of the depth scale in SIMS depth profiling analysis of multilayer films. However, the interface locations are distorted from real ones by the several effects due to sputtering with energetic ions. In this study, the determination of interface locations in SIMS depth profiling of multilayer films was investigated by Si/Ge and Ti/Si multilayer systems. The original SIMS depth profiles were converted into compositional depth profiles by the relative sensitivity factors (RSF) derived from the atomic compositions of Si-Ge and Si-Ti alloy reference films determined by Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy. The thicknesses of the Si/Ge and Ti/Si multilayer films measured by SIMS depth profiling with various impact energy ion beam were compared with those measured by TEM. There are two methods to determine the interface locations. The one is the feasibility of 50 atomic % definition in SIMS composition depth profiling. And another one is using a distribution of SiGe and SiTi dimer ions. This study showed that the layer thicknesses measured with low energy oxygen and Cs ion beam and, by extension, with method of 50 atomic % definition were well correlated with the real thicknesses determined by TEM.

In order to monitor the impact locations in smart structures, multipoint ultrasonic sensors are to be employed. In this study, a multiplexing demodulator with wide dynamic range was proposed to detect the impact locations using FBG sensors, and a stabilization controlling system was also developed for the maintenance of maximum sensitivity of sensors. Two FBG sensors were attached on the bottom side of the aluminum beam specimen and low velocity impact tests were performed to detect the one-dimensional impact locations. As a result, multiplexed in-line FBG sensors could detect the moment of impact precisely, and found the impact locations with the average location error below 0.58mm.
Growth patterns of the Manila clam, Ruditapes philippinarum in each tidal level were studied in the intertidal zone in Tae-an on the west coast of South Korea from April to August 2009. Environmental factors and the specimens of R. philippinarum were monthly collected at three intertidal locations: low intertidal zone, low-middle intertidal zone and middle intertidal zone. Temperature of sediment in low intertidal zone were lower than those in other intertidal locations. Concentrations of Chl-${\alpha}$ were not significantly different between in each tidal level. Exposure hours in low intertidal zone were shorter than those in other intertidal locations. Density of each year class in low intertidal zone were higher than those in low-middle intertidal zone and middle intertidal zone. Growth factors of R. philippinarum in low intertidal zone were better than those in other intertidal locations. The growth rate of under one year class individuals of low intertidal zone were higher than those in low-middle intertidal zone and middle intertidal zone, before the main recruitment period of R. pilippinarum. Although the growth patterns of R. philippinarum may be affected by various environmental factors, we suggests that the exposure duration is the main affect in the growth patterns of R. philippinarum in intertidal zone.
