Flexible Window 기법을 이용한 위치 예측 알고리즘 설계 (Design of a User Location Prediction Algorithm Using the Flexible Window Scheme)

  • 인과 관계에 대한 직관적인 개념으로 Bayesian Networks 알고리즘이나 트리 구조 추측 알고리즘 그리고 유전자 알고리즘을 사용하여 다양한 구조의 상황을 예측을 하게 된다. 하지만 이런 예측 알고리즘들을 상황인지 서비스 구현에 적용하기에는 실제 구현의 어려움과 실시간 환경에서 트레이닝 데이터 처리에서 오는 시간 지연 문제 등이 발생하게 된다. 이 때문에 특정 목적의 상황인지 시스템에서 이 알고리즘들이 어느 정도의 예측 정확도와 신뢰도를 가지고 상황 정보에 부합하는지 미지수이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 예측 알고리즘과는 다른 접근 방식을 통해, 사용자의 습관이나 행동양식을 데이터베이스로 만들어 이를 고려함으로써 상황인지 시스템의 상황 정보와 부합되는 Flexible Window 기법을 이용한 위치 예측 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 Flexible Window 기법을 이용한 위치 예측 알고리즘은 동일한 실험 조건 아래, Fixed Window 기법을 이용한 위치 예측 알고리즘보다 평균적으로 5.10% 더 우수한 성능을 보인다. 이 방식은 기하급수적으로 늘어나는 상황 정보를 감안했을 때 알고리즘 수행 시 처리 시간의 감소와 예측 정확도를 향상 시킬 수 있다.

내재적 리스크 감지 모델을 사용한 사용자 인증 편의성 향상 프레임워크 (The Framework for Cost Reduction of User Authentication Using Implicit Risk Model)

  • 사용자의 인증 프로세스에 대한 인식을 필요로 하는 기존의 명시적 인증은 그 과정에서 사용자에게 많은 부담이 되며 이는 사용자가 인증을 기피하는 원인이 되고 있다. 본 연구를 통해, 우리는 바이오 인식 및 위치 기반 인증 방법과 같은 내재적 인증 방법을 사용하여 사용자 인증의 편의성을 달성하는 방안을 제안한다. 이를 위해 명시적 인증으로 달성할 수 있는 4단계 보증 레벨을 정의하고, 내재적 인증 방법과 명시적 인증 방법과 같이 사용하여 보다 적은 인증 비용으로 동일 단계의 신뢰 보증 레벨에 도달할 수 있음을 보인다. 제안 방법의 유효성을 보이기 위해, 스크린 키보드 기반 인증, 얼굴인식 기반 인증, 위치 기반 인증을 내재적 인증 기법으로 도입하며 이를 안드로이드 응용으로 구현하였다. 실험 분석 결과, 제안 방법은 패스워드 인증 대비 21.7%, 6자리 PIN 인증 대비 14.9%의 비용 절감 효과를 달성하였다.

위치추적을 위한 UWB 센서 튜닝 및 상황인지형 서비스에의 응용 (Ultra-Wide Band Sensor Tuning for Localization and its Application to Context-Aware Services)

  • 본 논문은 UWB 센서를 이용한 위치인식 시스템의 구현 및 실험결과와 상황인지형 서비스 구현에 대하여 기술한다. 정확한 위치측정을 위해 UWB 센서의 경사도(pitch), 편주(yaw), 센서 개수, tag 높이 등의 변화에 따른 위치인식 오차를 측정하여 각 변수의 설정 방법을 실험하였다. 이를 이용한 응용으로 상황인지 기술에 바탕한 지능형 헬스트레이닝 관리 시스템 구현하였다. 지능형 헬스 트레이닝 관리 시스템은 헬스장에서 피 훈련자의 위치와 장비의 사용 상태를 인식하여, 적절한 훈련 스케줄을 피 훈련자에게 제공하며, 그에 따른 훈련 장비들의 사용법을 PDA를 통해 안내한다. 상황인지형 서비스의 제공을 위해서는 사용자의 위치와 이동 정보에 대한 오차 보정이 요구되어 사용자의 이동하는 속도를 이용한 위치 보정 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 실험 결과는 제안된 보정 알고리즘을 적용함으로써 이 알고리즘이 적용하지 않았을 때에 비해 오류 데이터가 30% 정도 감소하였다.

한약제제 보험급여 확대 및 활성화 방안에 대한 한의사 인식도 조사 (Survey on the Korean Medicine Doctor's Awareness of the Extension and Activation of Herbal Medicine Preparations Insurance Benefits)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate the Korean medicine doctor's perception of the extension and activation of herbal medicine preparations insurance benefits. Methods : The sample of Korean medicine doctors' panel pool which is extracted by examining the square root quota of city location of Korean medicine clinics was used. In case of a vacancy in some participants, the number of Korean medicine doctors were supplemented and placed for investigation. Results : It has 54.0% awareness of the separation of prescribing and dispensing herbal preparations, 87.0% agreed on the need to be insured, but the separation as a necessary condition for being insured was only 60.3% agreed. When a large number of herbal preparations are being insured, it was expected that 30% to 50% of patients(30.3%) will be prescribed herbal preparations and the number of new patients will increase by 5 to 15 for the purpose of prescriptions only(49.3%). Increase amount of medical expense(?3,000) as a result of the separation of prescribing and dispensing herbal preparations are insufficient(54.3%). Conclusions : From the results of this study, extension of national health insurance to cover herbal preparations must be needed to activate herbal medicine preparations and improve Korean medical services.

U-마켓에서의 사용자 정보보호를 위한 매장 추천방법 (A Store Recommendation Procedure in Ubiquitous Market for User Privacy)

  • Recently, as the information communication technology develops, the discussion regarding the ubiquitous environment is occurring in diverse perspectives. Ubiquitous environment is an environment that could transfer data through networks regardless of the physical space, virtual space, time or location. In order to realize the ubiquitous environment, the Pervasive Sensing technology that enables the recognition of users' data without the border between physical and virtual space is required. In addition, the latest and diversified technologies such as Context-Awareness technology are necessary to construct the context around the user by sharing the data accessed through the Pervasive Sensing technology and linkage technology that is to prevent information loss through the wired, wireless networking and database. Especially, Pervasive Sensing technology is taken as an essential technology that enables user oriented services by recognizing the needs of the users even before the users inquire. There are lots of characteristics of ubiquitous environment through the technologies mentioned above such as ubiquity, abundance of data, mutuality, high information density, individualization and customization. Among them, information density directs the accessible amount and quality of the information and it is stored in bulk with ensured quality through Pervasive Sensing technology. Using this, in the companies, the personalized contents(or information) providing became possible for a target customer. Most of all, there are an increasing number of researches with respect to recommender systems that provide what customers need even when the customers do not explicitly ask something for their needs. Recommender systems are well renowned for its affirmative effect that enlarges the selling opportunities and reduces the searching cost of customers since it finds and provides information according to the customers' traits and preference in advance, in a commerce environment. Recommender systems have proved its usability through several methodologies and experiments conducted upon many different fields from the mid-1990s. Most of the researches related with the recommender systems until now take the products or information of internet or mobile context as its object, but there is not enough research concerned with recommending adequate store to customers in a ubiquitous environment. It is possible to track customers' behaviors in a ubiquitous environment, the same way it is implemented in an online market space even when customers are purchasing in an offline marketplace. Unlike existing internet space, in ubiquitous environment, the interest toward the stores is increasing that provides information according to the traffic line of the customers. In other words, the same product can be purchased in several different stores and the preferred store can be different from the customers by personal preference such as traffic line between stores, location, atmosphere, quality, and price. Krulwich(1997) has developed Lifestyle Finder which recommends a product and a store by using the demographical information and purchasing information generated in the internet commerce. Also, Fano(1998) has created a Shopper's Eye which is an information proving system. The information regarding the closest store from the customers' present location is shown when the customer has sent a to-buy list, Sadeh(2003) developed MyCampus that recommends appropriate information and a store in accordance with the schedule saved in a customers' mobile. Moreover, Keegan and O'Hare(2004) came up with EasiShop that provides the suitable tore information including price, after service, and accessibility after analyzing the to-buy list and the current location of customers. However, Krulwich(1997) does not indicate the characteristics of physical space based on the online commerce context and Keegan and O'Hare(2004) only provides information about store related to a product, while Fano(1998) does not fully consider the relationship between the preference toward the stores and the store itself. The most recent research by Sedah(2003), experimented on campus by suggesting recommender systems that reflect situation and preference information besides the characteristics of the physical space. Yet, there is a potential problem since the researches are based on location and preference information of customers which is connected to the invasion of privacy. The primary beginning point of controversy is an invasion of privacy and individual information in a ubiquitous environment according to researches conducted by Al-Muhtadi(2002), Beresford and Stajano(2003), and Ren(2006). Additionally, individuals want to be left anonymous to protect their own personal information, mentioned in Srivastava(2000). Therefore, in this paper, we suggest a methodology to recommend stores in U-market on the basis of ubiquitous environment not using personal information in order to protect individual information and privacy. The main idea behind our suggested methodology is based on Feature Matrices model (FM model, Shahabi and Banaei-Kashani, 2003) that uses clusters of customers' similar transaction data, which is similar to the Collaborative Filtering. However unlike Collaborative Filtering, this methodology overcomes the problems of personal information and privacy since it is not aware of the customer, exactly who they are, The methodology is compared with single trait model(vector model) such as visitor logs, while looking at the actual improvements of the recommendation when the context information is used. It is not easy to find real U-market data, so we experimented with factual data from a real department store with context information. The recommendation procedure of U-market proposed in this paper is divided into four major phases. First phase is collecting and preprocessing data for analysis of shopping patterns of customers. The traits of shopping patterns are expressed as feature matrices of N dimension. On second phase, the similar shopping patterns are grouped into clusters and the representative pattern of each cluster is derived. The distance between shopping patterns is calculated by Projected Pure Euclidean Distance (Shahabi and Banaei-Kashani, 2003). Third phase finds a representative pattern that is similar to a target customer, and at the same time, the shopping information of the customer is traced and saved dynamically. Fourth, the next store is recommended based on the physical distance between stores of representative patterns and the present location of target customer. In this research, we have evaluated the accuracy of recommendation method based on a factual data derived from a department store. There are technological difficulties of tracking on a real-time basis so we extracted purchasing related information and we added on context information on each transaction. As a result, recommendation based on FM model that applies purchasing and context information is more stable and accurate compared to that of vector model. Additionally, we could find more precise recommendation result as more shopping information is accumulated. Realistically, because of the limitation of ubiquitous environment realization, we were not able to reflect on all different kinds of context but more explicit analysis is expected to be attainable in the future after practical system is embodied.

국내 체험환경교육 프로그램의 운영 현황 및 개선 방안 연구 (Site-Based Environmental Education in the Republic of Korea : Current Status and Needs)

  • This article describes the current status of site-based environmental education (EE) in the Republic of Korea. Implications for site-based EE program development and operation are presented and recommendations for an improvement are provided. Questionnaires were mailed to 205 schools and organizations where site-based EE programs operated in 2002 with funding from the Korean Ministry of Environment. The questionnaire was designed and used to examine the scope, operation, and needs of site-based EE programs. The response rate was 27.3%. The results of the survey indicated that 'awareness', 'participation', and 'attitude' were addressed by the program goals and objectives more than 'knowledge' and 'skills'. The survey also indicated that activities in the programs were not variable and most were teacher/instructor-centered. Most of the programs reflected the 'connection with everyday life, direct experience and sensitivity'. There were some difficulties in motivating students and finding a good location and qualified instructional staff. Needs included well-designed program development and dissemination, professional development, increased funding support, and more effective program evaluation.

야생동물사고사 자료 수집 현황 및 문제점에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Present Condition of Roadkill Research Datum Collection and Problems)

  • As more highways are constructed and more cars are running on them, toll of roadkill steadily increases. To make the problem more serious, roadkill include endangered species. This study compared two sets of roadkill data of selected Korean highways. One set of data were produced, as a routine job of everyday, by the Korea Highway Corporation (KHC), and the other by a team of wildlife researchers for a limited period of time for research purposes. The aims of the comparison were to identify if the species of the animal, location of the roadkill, time, and other information were kept reasonably, especially in the forms provided to the patrols of KHC, to be used for research purposes later. Major findings and suggestions are; 1) KHC patrols are not wildlife professionals, which is understandable, and could not identify some animal species killed on the highways. As they also are not aware of the importance of the accurate data for the wildlife protection, education to promote their awareness is needed. 2) Current form used by the patrols is far from enough to produce good data for research. A new and detailed form needs to be designed and provided to the patrols so that they can keep all the necessary data on roadkills for monitoring and research purposes. If these issues are addressed, the data collected daily by KHC will become good inputs for roadkill researches in Korea.

ubiTV Application: 가족을 위한 조화로운 미디어 서비스 (ubiTV Application: Harmonized Media Service for a Family)

  • 본 논문은 스마트 홈에서 다수 사용자를 대상으로 조화로운 미디어 서비스를 제공하는 ubiTV 응용을 제안한다. ubiTV 응용은 사용자의 상황정보를 수집하고 인식하기 위해 정형화된 컨텍스트를 이용하는 ubi-UCAM2.0 을 기반으로 구현되었다. ubiTV 응용은 사용자의 상황정보를 수집하기 위해 위치추적 센서, 출입문센서, 소파센서 그리고 PDA 기반의 리모컨을 활용한다. 그리고 수집된 정보를 기반으로 사용자의 컨텍스트를 인식하고 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하는 방송, 영화, 음악, 영상 및 웹 등의 다양한 미디어 서비스로 구성된다. 이를 기반으로 ubiTV 응용은 사용자의 컨텍스트 및 미디어 콘텐츠 정보를 기반으로 개인화된 서비스를 제공하고 추천한다. 또한, 사용자 및 미디어 서비스 간의 협력을 통해 조화로운 서비스 및 콘텐츠 공유를 지원한다. 그리고 파노라믹 영상을 기반으로 한 직관적인 사용자 인터페이스와 서비스 디스커버리를 통해 사용자들이 미디어 서비스를 쉽고 편리하게 제어할 수 있도록 한다. 실험결과, 제안된 ubiTV 응용은 현재의 널리 사용중인 미디어 시스템과 달리 다수의 사용자들이 미디어 서비스를 함께 이용하고 관심 있는 멀티미디어를 서로간에 공유함을 알 수 있었다. 따라서, 제안하는 ubiTV 응용은 다수의 사용자들이 다양한 미디어 서비스를 조화롭게 이용하도록 함으로서 스마트 홈 환경에서 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 사용자에게 최적의 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 객체 그리고 사용자의 행위와 밀접한 연관이 있는 시공간 정보를 고려하는 것이 중요하다. 이를 위해 이 논문에서는 사용자의 상황을 고려하기 위한 시공간 온톨로지를 설계하고 이를 이용하여 사용자의 행동 및 서비스 패턴을 능동적으로 마이닝할 수 있는 시스템 구조를 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 사용자의 시간에 따른 위치 및 객체와의 연관성을 고려하여 사용자의 행동과 서비스 패턴을 지능적으로 마이닝 하기 위한 프레임워크이고 트리거 시스템을 기반으로 한다.

지식근로자의 상황정보를 이용한 자율적 지식획득 방법론 : 대화형 지식의 획득을 위한 차세대형 지식경영시스템 (Autonomous Knowledge Acquisition Methodology using Knowledge Workers' Context Information : Focused on the Acquisition of Dialogue-Based Knowledge for the Next Generation Knowledge Management Systems)

  • Knowledge workers' workload to register knowledge can cause quality defects in the quality as well as the quantity of knowledge that must be accumulated in a knowledge management system(KMS). To enhance the availability of a KMS by acquiring more quality-guaranteed knowledge, autonomous knowledge acquisition which outdoes the automated acquisition must be initiated. Adopting the capabilities of context-awareness and inference in the field of context-aware computing, this paper intends to autonomously identify and acquire knowledge from knowledge workers' daily lives. Based on knowledge workers' context information, such as location, identification, schedule, etc, a methodology to monitor, sense, and gather knowledge that resides in their ordinary discussions is proposed. Also, a prototype systems of the context-based knowledge acquisition system(CKAS), which autonomously dictates, analyzes, and stores dialogue-based knowledge is introduced to prove the validity of the proposed concepts. This paper's methodology and prototype system can support relieving knowledge workers' burden to manually register knowledge, and hence provide a way to accomplish the goal of knowledge management, efficient and effective management of qualified knowledge.
