The Korean Solar Radio Burst Locator (KSRBL) is a solar radio spectrograph observing the frequency range between 0.245-18 GHz with the capability of locating the wideband gyrosynchrotron bursts. Its calibration process consists of antenna calibration, flux calibration, and demodulation. Antenna calibration is to determine the position, the width, and the peak value of the beam, flux calibration is to determine the conversion factor between the measured unit to the Solar Flux Unit (SFU), and demodulation is to determine the burst position and remove the modulation pattern. We introduce the current calibration software and some information that potential users may concern.

The governing equation locating component centers in the degree-n bifurcation set is a polynomial with a very high degree and its root-finding lacks numerical accuracy. The equation is transformed to have its degree reduced by a factor(n-1). Newton's method applied to the transformed equation improves the accuracy with properly chosen initial values. The numerical implementation is done with Maple V using a large number of computational precision digits. Many cases are studied for 2 $\leq$ n $\leq$ 25 and show a remarkably improved computation.

This study is an exploratory investigation on how national R&D investments decisions are made in Korea. For developing system dynamic model, we are interested in locating three structural dilemma, occurring with the Korean NIS. In so doing, we intend to devise the ways of ameliorating problems within the NIS investment decision-making process by providing policy implications. We identify delays and side effects during transition periods between different stages of technology innovation by perceiving the switching pattern dynamically, in which form of technologies shifts from one to another stage like paradigm shift, when the R&D investment reaches a certain stock. It is also suggested that the development of strategies is necessary in order to enhance efficiency of technological development process.

최근 항만 물류 및 자산 관리 분야에서 실시간 위치 정보를 처리하는 RTLS(Real Time Locating System)시스템이 도입되고 있다. 이러한 시스템에서 RTLS 서버는 태그를 부착한 이동 객체들의 위치 데이터 스트림을 일정 시간 동안 수집하여 애플리케이션으로 전달한다. 이 때 위치 정보는 전파 굴절 현상으로 인해 오차가 발생하며, 이동 객체에 부착된 태그는 수 초 마다 위치 정보를 보고하기 때문에 시스템의 과부하를 초래하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 표준과의 호환성을 고려하고, 요구사항을 반영한 위치 데이터 스트림 처리기를 설계 및 개발하였다. RTLS 시스템의 전파 굴절 현상으로 야기되는 비정상적인 위치 오차를 보정하기 위해 맵 매칭 기법을 도입하여 위치 데이터 스트림의 신뢰성을 제공하며, 위치 변화가 없는 객체의 위치 데이터 스트림을 빠르게 정제하는 정지 상태 제거 필터를 개발하여 질의 처리 시 부하를 줄인다. 또한 각 애플리케이션의 질의 결과에 무의미한 위치 정보를 배제하는 중요 위치 수집기를 개발하여 시스템 성능을 향상시킨다.

There have been numerous studies on application of robots to in-pipe inspection system. In this thesis, a mobile robot that can move through elbows and vertical pipes having diameter 100mm is developed. Defect detection technology for locating wall-thinnings, corrosions and foreign materials is developed for high temperature and pressure pipings in thermal power plants, utilizing laser sensors installed on the robot. Actual defect detection performance is evaluated with application of the developed robot system to a mock-up pipings.

This paper addresses the problem of locating a telephone switching center at new establishing city or town. There have been several studies on the location of telephone switching center at an existing telephone network to cope with the expanding subsciber's demand, in most of which only the economic factors were considered and was determined where the switching center is established in order to minimize the total cost. This paper, However, deals with the social factors as well as the economic ones. We develop a location model considered these two factors simultaneously by using a fuzzy approach. Finally, we apply the model to locate a new telephone switching center at the Haeundae where the Pusan City intends to construct a new town.

Following the previous report (Part I: For Sea-divers and Hwa-Jeon-Min) authers have conducted another nutrition survey for Buddhists (male and female) in a temple 'Soo Duk Sa' locating in ChungNam province. The following results were obtained: 1. Cereals, green vegetables and potatoes were staple foods for the Buddhists (male and female) and no any animal foods were eaten by them during the survey period. 2. Carbohydrate intake was very high and the calorie derived from it occupied approximately 80% of tatal calorie intaken. 3. All the nutrients except carotene, niacin and iron are low in their amounts of intake. Especially, protein and riboflavin intakes are low. 4. Buddhists are prohibited to eat animal foods. Therefore, nutrition education and guidance are needed for them to supplement the protein and some other problems.

In recent year, construction of national infrastructure, variations of agricultural environment, urbanization of rural life-style, and other things have influenced on rural area. Therefore, its landscapes have been changed rapidly. As a result of it, rural landscape should be controlled with amenity and totality. That is a rural amenity control planning. The purposes of this study is to consider characters of rural settlement area, the directions of landscape control planning as an environmental planning, the structure of rural landscape, the process of rural landscape control planning, and its frameworks. Main viewpoints of landscape control planning in rural settlement are as follows; the using of regional resources, the harmony of surrounding environments, the harmony of natural ecology, locating of facilities, the development of new landscape material, maintenance of sequencing, symbolizing, unificating, and opening, the using of natural/regional materials, the using of waterfront, the making of stories.

We measured the permittivity and electromagnetic wave propagation velocity of used insulation oil with wide frequency range including ultra-high frequency by time domain reflectometry. The permittivity or propagation velocity is essential for locating discharge faults of oil filled power transformer. We derived 2.21 as a permittivity and $2.03{\times}10^8 m/s$ as a velocity from the measurement of pulse travelling time along a coaxial line filled with used insulation oil or air. The permittivity measurement system we designed shows high measurement accuracy and the convenience for field use.

This paper considers a problem of locating both distribution centers and retailers in a zone-dependent two-level distribution network where either a distribution center or a retailer should be located in each zone. Customer demands of each zone should be satisfied directly from either its own distribution center or its own retailer being supplied from a distribution center of another zone. The objective of the proposed problem is to minimize total cost being composed of distribution center/retailer setup costs and transportation costs. In the analysis, the problem is proved to be NP-hard, so that a branch-and-bound algorithm is derived for the problem. Numerical experiments show that the proposed branch-and-bound algorithm provides the optimal solution efficiently for some small problems.
