포스트모던 미술관 건축의 확장된 건축개념에 관한비교연구 -독일 스튜트가르트 국립미술관 신관과 묀헨글라드바하 시립미술관을 중심으로- (A Comparative Study of the Expantionist Architectural Concept in Post-Modern Museums -focused on Neue Staatsgalerie Stuttgart and Stadtisches Museum Abteiberg Monchengladback in Germany-)

  • During the boom of museum building in the 1970s-80s two museum wee erected in Germany. They are James Stirling's Neue Stattsgalerie Stuttgart and hans Hollein's Stadtisches Museum Abteiberg Monchengladbach, These two museums share the folowing point of similarity : Stirling's Neue Stattsgalerie Stuttgart and Hollein's Staditisches Museum Abetiberg Monchenbladbach both manifest the conditions of the times in light of their respective cities' local characters and historical contexts without being bound to traditional formality. Stirling and Hollein attempted to grasp the meaning of the 기nuseum as a city in miniature." Taking into account the t two museums’s territorial characteristics of being situated on a slope, both Stirling and Hollein made the walker to pass t through their building complex and introduced the concept of a public square within them. As a result, the museums are not j just two large buildings but are architecture composed of a collage of various structures. S Stirling’s architecture employs the method of attaching additional elements on top of basic constituents, which is suggestive '||'&'||'#61551; of the historical fragment from Shinkel's Altes Museum. On the other hand, Hollein applies a collage-style method as if he w were doing urban planning, maintaining the distinctiveness of each of the various forms and materials of buildings. T The object style buildings of the two museums actively demonstrate the contrast of double meaning to represent the a ambiguous and multifarious characteristics of the modern times. Stirling explores the theme of opposition and coexistence in h his Neue Stattsgalerie Stuttgart by placing a series of opposing concepts, such as the past and present and histor${\gamma}$ and t technology, in one space. Thereby, the contradiction and its appeal are manifested. Hollein made use of the visual illusion and c contradiction in alluding to the irony of the modern reality induced by nature and culture and history and technology. F For the above reasons and methods, James Stirling ’ s Neue Stattsgalerie Stuttgart allowed the penetration of art into daily l life and became the general public’s favored museum for its free and unrestrained environment. Likewise, Hans Hollein’s S Stadtisches Museum Abteiberg Moncbengladbach contribute to the development of museum function as it an expression of art i in the form of a complex piece of scupture on its own.ts own.

돼지에서 PMSG와 $\textrm{PG600}^{\textregistered}$의 과배란 처치 효과 (Superovulation Treatment with PMSG and $\textrm{PG600}^{\textregistered}$ in Prepubertal Gilts)

  • The objective of this study was to compare different superovulation treatments using PMSG or PG600$^{ }$ and to determine the optimal time of oocyte recovery after hCG administration. A total of 90 prepubertal Yorkshire x Landrace gilts crossed with Duroc, 6~7 months old and 100~120 kg of body weight, were used. PMSG (1,500 IU/head) or 5~7.5 ml of PG600$^{ }$(400 IU of PMSG and 200 IU of hCG) were administrated subcutaneously, and then 1,000 IU of hCG were administered intramuscularly at 72 hours after PMSG or PG600$^{ }$ injection. At carious time of 44, 46, 48 and 50 hours after hCG injection, superovulated gilts were slaughtered in a local abattoir. Ovaries together with oviducts were excised from the body immediately after slaughtered and transported to laboratory in 39$^{\circ}C$ saline. Ovaries were examined fur the number of corpus hemorrhagicum and unovulated follicles present in the surface of ovary. The unovulated follicles were categorized into small (1~3 mm in diameter) and large (4~8 mm) groups according to their diameter. Oocytes were recovered by flushing both oviducts with micropipette tip (1~100 $\mu$l) attached to a 10-ml disposable syringe. The number of CH on ovary and recovered oocytes at 46, 48 and 50 hr after hCG injection in PG600$^{ }$ treated groups were significantly higher than the other group. Group of phCG 50 hr among PMSG treated groups had a greater number of CH and recovered oocytes(P<0.05). The number of CH on ovary and recovered oocytes at 50 hr after hCG injection in 1$\frac{1}{2}$ vial(7.5 ml) of PG600$^{ }$ treated groups was significantly higher than 1 vial(5 ml) of PG600$^{ }$ treated group(P<0.05). In conclusions, considering a number of corpus hemorrhagicum and recovered oocytes after superovulation in gilts, effective time of oocyte recovery by treatment with PMSG and hCG was post-hCG 50 hr and with PG600$^{ }$ plus hCG was post-hCG 46, 48 and 50 hr. Also, admini-stration of 1$\frac{1}{2}$ vial(7.5 ml) of PG600$^{ }$ treated group had a great number of CH and recovered oocytes.covered oocytes.

Predicting Parturition Time through Ultrasonic Measurement of Posture Changing Rate in Crated Landrace Sows

  • This study presents an automatic system to predict parturition time in the crated sows. The system relies on ultrasonic transducers mounted from above along the length of the crate. Using a 40 kHz time of flight (TOF) single envelope wave, the momentary distances between the sensors are measured. Therefore, the local momentary height of the sow and the momentary posture, i.e. standing posture (SDP), kneeling posture (KP), sitting posture (STP) and lateral lying posture (LLP) are determined. Crated sows change their postures from standing to lying and vice versa which follows a characteristic pattern. As parturition approaches, sows exhibit uneasiness, restlessness and the stand up sequence (SUS, the posture transition from LLP to SDP) rate increases because of labor pains. In time series, the SUS rate demonstrates a peak and it happens approximately 0-12 h before parturition. In this paper, the basic parturition threshold value method (BPTVM) and the same hour method (SHM) are proposed for predicting parturition, both of which are based on the SUS rate. The BPTVM mainly detects the peak of the SUS rate. As the SUS rate exceeds the threshold value, the parturition becomes predictable. Moreover, the SHM calculates the difference in the SUS rates between a particular time of day and the corresponding time of the preceding day. Compared to the BPTVM, the SHM can eliminate the circadian rhythm of the SUS rate influenced by feeding behavior. Using the SHM the parturition can be approximately predicted within hours. In an attempt to define the threshold parameters of predicting parturition, a data set with 32 sows of the SUS rate are used to estimate assumable predicting probability. The results show the assumable probability of the parturition prediction within 9 h is 96.9% for the SHM and 84.4% for the BPTVM. Moreover, the SHM can even reach a 75% probability of prediction within three hours of parturition. We conclude that the SHM is more accurate and is more useful for parturition time prediction. When parturition is detected, the proposed algorithm generates a warning signal which can inform human personnel to protect the mother and newborn piglets.

영미 수출팩토링 제도에 관한 연구 - 한국에의 시사점을 중심으로- (A Study on the Development of the Export Factoring in UK and US)

  • 팩토링(factoring)의 역사는 중세시대까지 거슬러 올라갈 수 있지만 현대적 팩토링은 식민지시절 미국에서 시작되어 1960년대 영국으로 전파되면서 오늘날 유럽에서 가장 발전된 모습을 보이고 있다. 영국의 팩토링은 격지거래의 불확실성과 불편함을 해소하고자 판매지에서 상업대리인(mercantile agent)의 역할을 수행하기 위해 시작되어 점차 금융기능에 초점을 맞춘 오늘날의 팩토링 구조로 발전하였다. 미국에서의 팩토링 또한 상업대리인 형태로 출발하였으며 이후 팩터들의 활동이 수탁판매와 지급보증 뿐 아니라 선급금융 서비스로 확대되는 과정을 거쳐 왔다. 영미의 팩토링산업은 오늘날 전문팩터와 은행팩터, 두 유형의 기관들에 의해 운영되고 있고 특히 중소기업금융에 특화되어 있다. 이는 상대적으로 열악한 재무구조와 채무관리능력을 지닌 중소기업들에 대해 민간 최종대부자의 역할을 팩터가 수행함을 의미하는 한편 팩터에게는 충분한 신용조사능력이 요구됨을 의미한다. 우리나라 수출자의 수출 결제조건이 지속적으로 불리해져 결제리스크 관리와 무역금융의 보완 수단이 필요한 상황에서 팩토링의 활성화는 시급하며 중요하다. 우리나라 중소 수출기업들이 수출팩토링을 적극 활용할 수 있도록 시중은행은 신용조사역량을 확보해야 하는 한편 정부는 팩토링이 활성화될 수 있도록 정책적 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다.

황갈색 재래닭의 간에서 성장 단계별 차등 발현 유전자 분석 (Identification of Differentially Expressed Genes in Four Different Growing Stages in Korea Native Chicken Liver)

  • 한국 재래닭에서 성장에 따른 유전자들의 발현 변화를 알아보고 성장 촉진, 대사 및 면역 관련 유전자를 발굴하기 위하여 주령별로 닭의 간에서 RNA를 추출하였으며 10개의 arbitrary ACPs를 이용하여 차등 발현되는 유전자를 조사하였다. 발현량에 현저한 차이를 보이는 5개의 유전자들이 선별되었으며, 이 중 3개의 유전자들은 BLAST search 결과 이미 기능이 알려진 FTH1, SAA와 HSP90B1으로 밝혀졌다. 그러나 2개의 유전자들은 닭의 genome sequence가 끝났음에도 불구하고 기능이 밝혀져 있지 않아 앞으로 이 유전자들의 기능에 대한 연구가 지속되어야 함을 의미한다. 본 연구에서 닭의 간에서 성장 단계별로 발현 차이를 보이는 유전자들은 앞으로 다른 유전자와 단백질들과의 관계를 통하여 닭의 성장 및 지방 대사를 이해하는데 도움을 줄 것으로 사료된다.

배양체계가 체외성숙 소 난포란의 체외수정 및 배 발달에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Culture Systems on In Vitro Fertilization and Development of In Vitro Matured Bovine Follicular Oocytes)

  • This study was conducted to improve the in vitro maturation(JVM), in vitro fertilization (IVF) and in vitro developmental capacity of oocytes derived from slaughtered Korean native cattle. The recoverd oocytes, obtained from a local slaughter house, were used completely surrounded by at least 3 layers of cumulus cells in combination with a homogeneous cytoplasmic pigmentation. In vitro maturation was induced in TCM-199 or Ham's F-10 supplemented with LH(1O $\mu$g/rnl), FSH(35 $\mu$g/ml), estradiol-17$\beta$(1 $\mu$g/ml) at 39$^{\circ}C$ under 5% $CO_2$ in air for 24 hours. Sperm from caudal epididyrnis and previously matured cumulus-oocytes complexes were cultured for 24 hours in 100 $\mu$l droplets of fertilization media under paraffin oil. The zygotes were cultured with media(TCM-199 with bovine oviductal epithelial cells or CRlaa) for 7 to 10 days. The cleavage rate of IVM-IVF oocytes was significantly (P<0.05) higher following maturation using Ham's F-10 (59.9%) than TCM-199 (51.6%). Development to the blastocysts among cleaved embryos was not signficantly different between maturation media: Ham's F-10 (16.0%) and TCM-199(11.9%). However, the hatching rate was affected significantly (P<0.05) on rnaturation media as 62.9% in Ham's F-10, compared with 41.2% in TCM-199. The cleavage rate of IVM-IVF oocytes was significantly (P<0.05) higher following IVF using m-TALP medium (80.1%) than BO medium (51.6%). The percentage of in vitro developed blastocysts among cleaved embryos was not signficantly different between fertimization media: BO (11.7%) and m-TALP (17.6%). The cleavage and the developmental rate to the blastocysts after IVF in m-TALP or condition medium(CM) with or without oviduct epithelial cell monolayer(OECM) was similar(80.1% and 17.6% in m-TALP, 83.8% and 19.4% in M-TALP with OECM. 82.9% and 18.9% in CM, 87.6% and 16.0% in CM with OECM, respectively). The percentage of in vitro developed blastocysts among cleaved embryos was significantly (P<0.05) higher in TCM-199 medium co-cul tured with bovine oviduatal epithelial cell monolayers(35.2%) than CRlaa medium(1.9%). These results stggest that the most transferable IVF embryos could be produced from Ham's F-10, m-TALP and TCM-199 medium with bovine oviductal epithelial cell monolayers for IVM, IVF and IVC, respectively.

상업용 김치와 담금 배추김치의 발효에 따른 품질특성 변화 (Change of Quality Characteristics of Commercial and Prepared Kimchi Depending on Fermentation)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the folate contents and quality characteristics of commercial and fermented Kimchi and compare the correlation between folic acid and quality characteristics. Methods: The contents of total folate and quality characteristics were evaluated in 10 kinds of industrial and local Kimchi and nine kinds of other commonly consumed Kimchi. Changes in folate content and quality characteristics of Kimchi during 14 days of fermentation at $15^{\circ}C$ were compared. Results: Chungnam (L4) Kimchi had the lowest pH of 4.62, and acidity (0.57%) and salinity (3.26%) were highest compared to other areas. The content of total folate of D company (A) was the highest at $73.66{\mu}g/100g$. The content of total folate was significantly higher than those of Sesame leaf Kimchi (O9) and Young leafy radish Kimchi (O5) containing 65.77 and $62.82{\mu}g/100g$, respectively. The pH of fermented Kimchi decreased from 6.09 to 4.11 (p<0.05), and the acidity significantly increased (p<0.001) to 0.32-0.66%. Reducing sugar content decreased rapidly by 4 days and then slowly decreased (p<0.001). Total bacteria and lactic acid bacteria counts significantly increased (p<0.05) with fermentation period. Content of total folate was highest at $69.82{\mu}g/100g$ and $68.16{\mu}g/100g$ on days 0 and 2 of fermentation, after which it decreased to 77.6% at $15.61{\mu}g/100g$ on day 10 of fermentation. Conclusion: As a result, there was no definite trend regarding folate content in commercial Kimchi and other Kimchi. Young leafy radish, Chives, and Welsh onion Kimchi, which are rich in green leaves, are excellent folate source foods. The highest folate content of fermented Kimchi was identified on day 2 of fermentation. Therefore, it is recommended to use raw or immature Kimchi when using Kimchi as a folate source food.

국내산 시판 닭 가슴살의 품질 특성 (Quality of Commercial Broiler Breast Meat Retailed in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내에서 유통되는 각기 다른 브랜드 6종의 닭 가슴살 제품에 대해 이화학 검사, 조직감 검사 및 관능평가를 통하여 품질 비교 평가를 수행하였다. 평가 결과 일반 성분에서는 큰 차이가 없었으나, pH, 색상, 조리손실률에서 제품 간 큰 편차가 나타났다. 특히 연도 측정에서는 연도가 높은 제품군(A, B, C, D)과 연도가 낮은 제품군(E, F)으로 구분이 되어 제품의 숙성기간 또는 제품군별 냉동 방식에 따라 연도가 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다. 묘사분석 결과 저작경도와 저작응집성에서 제품 간 유의적인 차이가 나타났고 두 특성 모두 F 제품에서 가장 높은 강도를 보였다. 소비자 기호도 조사 결과 연도 및 수분감이 가장 낮은 제품에서 기호도가 가장 낮게 나타나 연도 특성이 닭 가슴살의 품질을 결정하는 가장 중요한 지표 중 하나라는 것이 밝혀졌다. 본 연구에 사용된 닭 가슴살 제품은 제품별 사육부터 가공, 유통과정에 있어서 여러 가지 다양한 변수가 존재하고 이에 대한 정보가 공개되지 않았으므로 제품 품질 차이에 영향을 주는 인자들을 정확하게 독립적으로 구분하기는 불가능하나 현재 국내에 시판 유통되는 닭 가슴살 제품의 품질 간 큰 차이가 존재하고 소비자들의 기호도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 밝혀냄으로써 국내 가금육 제조업체들이 소비자들의 기호도가 최적화된 닭 가슴살 제품을 생산 및 관리하는 데 본 연구 결과를 유용하게 사용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Effect of Slurry Composting and Bio-filtration (SCB) by Fertigation on Soil Chemical Properties and Growth of Red Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.)

  • The slurry composting and bio-filtration (SCB) liquid manure has some obvious advantages including a good source of N, P and K, local availability, effective microorganism and the ability to improve soil properties. This study was conducted to evaluate the influence on the changes of soil chemical properties and yield of red pepper by fertigation cultivation with SCB application for 2 years. Red pepper was transplanted in early May in 2013 and 2014. The treatment with three replication was composed of 4 types as control (N 1.0), SCB 0.5N, SCB 1.0N, and SCB 2.0N standards of recommended nitrogen fertilizer ($19kg\;N\;10a^{-1}$). The fertigation cultivation which was installed the surface drip irrigation system was splitted 10 times as $2.5Mg\;10a^{-1}$ nutritional solution included with chemical fertilizer and SCB every 10 days during the cultivation. The height and width of pepper plant were 7.0% and 5.8% higher in SCB 2.0N treatment than that in control. The yield of red pepper increased with the increasing of SCB application rates from SCB 0.5N to 2.0N. The yield of SCB 1.0N was much better 10% in average than that of control, and there was significant differences among all treatments. pH of control soil after final harvest decreased to 6.1, however pH of SCB treated soils increased from 6.7 to 7.1 depending on SCB application rates. The Exch.-K contents of SCB treated soils were increased 13.7 to 56.9% after final harvest compared with control by $0.51cmol_c\;kg^{-1}$. Accordingly, these results showed that SCB 1.0N application rate as a recommended nitrogen level based on soil testing can be used as an alternative nitrogen management as well as plant nutrition for red pepper cultivation.

Damage and vibrations of nuclear power plant buildings subjected to aircraft crash part I: Model test

  • Investigations of large commercial aircraft impact effect on nuclear power plant (NPP) buildings have been drawing extensive attentions, particularly after the 9/11 event, and this paper aims to experimentally assess the damage and vibrations of NPP buildings subjected to aircraft crash. In present Part I, two shots of reduce-scaled model test of aircraft impacting on NPP building were carried out. Firstly, the 1:15 aircraft model (weighs 135 kg) and RC NPP model (weighs about 70 t) are designed and prepared. Then, based on the large rocket sled loading test platform, the aircraft models were accelerated to impact perpendicularly on the two sides of NPP model, i.e., containment and auxiliary buildings, with a velocity of about 170 m/s. The strain-time histories of rebars within the impact area and acceleration-time histories of each floor of NPP model are derived from the pre-arranged twenty-one strain gauges and twenty tri-axial accelerometers, and the whole impact processes were recorded by three high-speed cameras. The local penetration and perforation failure modes occurred respectively in the collision scenarios of containment and auxiliary buildings, and some suggestions for the NPP design are given. The maximum acceleration in the 1:15 scaled tests is 1785.73 g, and thus the corresponding maximum resultant acceleration in a prototype impact might be about 119 g, which poses a potential threat to the nuclear equipment. Furthermore, it was found that the nonlinear decrease of vibrations along the height was well reflected by the variations of both the maximum resultant vibrations and Cumulative Absolute Velocity (CAV). The present experimental work on the damage and dynamic responses of NPP structure under aircraft impact is firstly presented, which could provide a benchmark basis for further safety assessments of prototype NPP structure as well as inner systems and components against aircraft crash.
