  • A study on the combustion characteristics by using Emulsion Fuel in Diesel Engine is performed experimentally. In this paper, the experiments are performed at engine speed 1800rpm, emulsion fuel ratio is 0%, 10%, 20%, and main measured items are specific fuel consumption, pressure, ratio of pressure rise, rate of heat release etc. The obtained conclusions are as follows. 1) Specific fuel consumption increase maximum 19.8% at low load, but is not effected at full load. 2) Ratio of pressure rise and rate of heat release are about the same in the case of 10% and 20% of emulsion fuel ratio. 3) Cylinder Pressure increase 11.7%, ratio of pressure rise increase 60.4% in case of emulsion fuel ratio 20% at full load. 4) Rate of heat release increase 76.9% in case of emulsion fuel ratio 20% at full load.

지역난방 사용자 구성비에 따른 열소비 패턴 분석 (Heat Consumption Pattern Analysis by the Component Ratio of District Heating Users)

  • 본 연구에서는 서로 다른 위도의 도시 유형별로 주택과 건물 구성비를 가진 3지역을 선정하여 대상 지역별로 2008년 1년간(1.1~12.31)의 실제 운전실적을 이용하여 지역난방 사용자의 일일 및 연간 열소비 패턴을 분석하고, 지역별 상호 차이점을 파악하기 위하여 주택과 건물의 열소비 패턴을 비교 분석하였다. 특히 본 연구에서는 실제 주택 및 건물 지역난방 사용자가 사용한 열소비 패턴을 매시간대별로 파악하고, 연결 열부하(난방면적 ${\times}$ 단위열부하 : 시설용량과 지역난방 배관망의 설계기준이 되는 열부하로 난방면적에 용도별 단위열부하를 곱하여 산출[Gcal/h])와의 관계를 분석하여 일일, 연간 및 최대 부하율 결과값을 도출함으로써 주택 및 건물 지역난방 사용자 비율에 따른 최적의 열원시설 용량산정이 가능케 하고 수요개발(해당 시설용량으로 열공급이 가능한 지역난방 사용자의 범위로 각 사용자기계실의 연결열부하 합과 같음.)단계에서의 정확한 방향을 제시할 수 있는 근거를 도출하였다.

  • The purpose of this research is to comprehend experimentally the characteristic of human dynamic load and provide the result as basic data to suggest a valid impact-resistance evaluation method. Human motions exerting dynamic load are classified to 3 types. Selecting 3 ranks of motion strength, 3 ranks of load plane stiffness (A:20kN/cm, B:4.7kN/cm, C:2.2kN/cm), and 30 male grownup inspectors in their twenties, load was measured when they applied force on load plane. Result of this research is as follows: (1) Human dynamic load has different nature from object collision in the highest load ratio depending on the load plane stiffness and action time (2) The highest load ratio for each motion was 10.06 for kicking, 4.44 for hitting with shoulder, and 5.58 for fist blow.

  • This study numerically analyzed the dynamic characteristics of the frequency response on the pneumatic transmission line with load impedances. The pressure transfer function is represented by the distributed parameter line model. To validate the mathematical approximations of Bessel function ratios, the results of frequency response in a blocked line were compared with those obtained by the Infinite-product, Brown's and Square-root approximations. Special emphasis was given to the frequency response characteristics on the pneumatic transmission line with load impedances. Computations were carried out for the wide range of parameters in terms of load capacitance ratio and load resistance ratio. The present results indicated that the theoretical model is capable of accurately predicting the frequency response characteristics for any configuration of a fluid transmission line.

공기윤활베어링의 부하용량 증대에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Load Capacity of Doubly-Stepped Journal Bearing)

  • In order to improve the load capacity of externally pressurized air-lubeicatedjournal bearings, a new type(doubly-stepped type) bearing was revised and experimented. Through the results of experiment, the load capacity of doubly-stepped bearings was discussed and compared with equivalent conventional circular journal bearings. Results were obtained for speed up to 18000rpm and for supply pressure ratio(Ps/Pa) 4.8,6,7. Compared with equivalent conventional bearings, doubly-stepped bearings resultd a high gain in load capacity. It is also shown that the increasing rate of load capacith increases with decreasing the eccentricity ratio. Furthermore, the increasing rate is higher in the case of great clearanceratio than small dleatance ratio of doubly-stepped bearings. Such an increase in load capacity is confirmed by pressure distributions in the bearings.

  • This paper examines the crack growth behavior of 7075-T651 and 5052-H32 aluminum alloys for variable load within tensile load range condition. The cantilever beam type specimen with a chevron notch is used in this study. The crack growth and closure are investgated by compliance method. The applied initial stress ratio is R=0.3 and variable load are R=0.65, 0.46. Crack length, stress intensity factor range, ratio of effective stress intensity factor range and crack growth rate etc. are inspected with fracture mechanics estimate.

하중증가율(荷重增加率)이 이차압밀(二次壓密)에 미치는 영향(影響) (The Influence of Load Increment Ratio on the Secondary Consolidation)

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)는 쌍곡선법(雙曲線法)을 이용(利用)해서 하중(荷重) 증가율(增加率)이 이차압밀(二次壓密)에 마치는 영향(影響)을 구명(究明)하기 위하여, 아산만(牙山灣)의 해성점토(海成粘土)에 대(對)하여 시험(試驗)한 것으로 그의 결과(結果)를 요약(要略)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 쌍곡선법(雙曲線法)에 의(依)한 이차압밀량산정(二次壓密量算定) 값은 Casagrande의 log t 법(法)에 의(依)한 값보다 약간 작았으나, 그 차이(差異)는 미소(微小)하였고 쌍곡선법(雙曲線法)으로는 하중(荷重) 증가율(增加率)이 작을 때에도 쉽게 이차압밀량(二次壓密量)을 산정(算定)할 수 있었다. 2. 하중증가율(荷重增加率)이 작을수록 이차압밀비(二次壓密比)는 크게 나타났으며 하중증가율(荷重增加率)이 작을때 일어나는 심하곡선(沈下曲線)의 creep 현상(現象)은 이차압밀(二次壓密)에 기인(起因)한 것이라 생각된다. 3. 일차압밀중(一次壓密中)에 생기는 이차압밀(二次壓密)는 과압밀영역(過壓密領域)에서는 불규칙(不規則)했으나, 과압밀영역(過壓密領域)에서는 하중증가율(荷重增加率)이 작을수록 증가현상(增加現象)을 보였다. 4. 이차압밀계수(二次壓密係數)는 하중(荷重)의 증가(增加)에 따라 점차 증가(增加)하여 선행하중근처(先行荷重近處)에서 변곡점(變曲点)을 이루었고 하중(荷重)이 $2kg/cm^2$부터는 감소현상(減少現象)을 나타냈으며 이차압밀계수(二次壓密係數)는 하중증가율(荷重增加率)과 무관(無關)함을 보였다. 5. 이차압밀계수(二次壓密係數)와 압축지수(壓縮指數)는 비례관계(比例關係)를 나타냈다.

  • Herringbone groove journal bearing (HGJB) is developed to improve the static and dynamic performances of hydrodynamic journal bearing. Conventional studies on HGJB were based on the Narrow Groove theory assuming that the number of grooves approaches infinity. In this study, an oil lubricated HGJB is analyzed using Finite Element Method. Load carrying capacity, attitude angle, stiffness and damping coefficients are obtained numerically for various bearing configurations especially for the inclined width ratio and asymmetric ratio and compared with the results obtained using Finite Volume Method. The bearing load and stability characteristics are dependent on geometric parameters such as inclined width ratio, asymmetric ratio, groove depth ratio, groove width ratio, groove angle.

  • The most important element is a rise ratio when regarding beauty and economics of arch bridges. Only the effect of dead load has been considered to decide the rise ratio. In this study, when going over the rise ratio of arch bridges, examined the problems, that the determination of the rise ratio by the dead load has, by adding the factor of a determination of optimum rise ratio, which is not only the effect of the dead load that has been currently considered but also the problem with respect to wind resistant dynamic stability that is now taken seriously. Synthetically, when deciding rise ratio that is investigated in basic step of design, it is not necessary to consider the evaluation wind resistant dynamic stability.
