SM45C재의 PVD코팅과 필름에 의한 트라이볼러지 특성 (Variations in Tribological Characteristics of SM45C by PVD Coating and Thin Films)

  • In order to accumulate data to lower the friction coefficient of a press mold, tribological tests were performed before and after coating SM45C with a PVC/PO film and plasma coating (CrN, concept). The ultrasonic nanocrystal surface modification (UNSM)-treated material had a nano-size surface texture, high surface hardness, and large and deep compressive residual stress formation. Even when the load was doubled, the small amount of abrasion, small weight of the abrasion, and width and depth of the abrasion did not increase as much as those of untreated materials. A comparison of the weight change before and after the tribological test with the CrN and the concept coating material and that of the untreated material showed that the wear loss of the concept coating material and P-UNSM treated material (that is, the UNSM treated material treated with the concept coating) showed a tendency to decrease by approximately 55-75%. Concept 100N had a lower friction coefficient of about 0.6, and P-UNSM-30-100N showed almost the same curve as concept 100N and had a low coefficient of friction of about 0.6. The concept multilayer coating had a thickness of $5.32{\mu}m$. In the beginning, the coefficient of friction decreased because of the plasma coating, but it started to increase from about 250-300 s. After about 350 s, the coefficient of friction tended to approach the friction coefficient of the SM45C base metal. The SGV-280F film-attached test specimen was slightly pushed back and forth, but the SM45C base material was not exposed due to abrasion. The friction coefficient was 0.22, which was the lowest, and the tribological property was the best in this study.

Axial capacity of reactive powder concrete filled steel tube columns with two load conditions

  • Reactive powder concrete (RPC) is a type of ultra-high strength concrete that has a relatively high brittleness. However, its ductility can be improved by confinement, and the use of RPC in composite RPC filled steel tube columns has become an important subject of research in recent years. This paper aims to present an experimental study of axial capacity calculation of RPC filled circular steel tube columns. Twenty short columns under axial compression were tested and information on their failure patterns, deformation performance, confinement mechanism and load capacity were presented. The effects of load conditions, diameter-thickness ratio and compressive strength of RPC on the axial behavior were further discussed. The experimental results show that: (1) specimens display drum-shaped failure or shear failure respectively with different confinement coefficients, and the load capacity of most specimens increases after the peak load; (2) the steel tube only provides lateral confinement in the elastic-plastic stage for fully loaded specimens, while the confinement effect from steel tube initials at the set of loading for partially loaded specimens; (3) confinement increases the load capacity of specimens by 3% to 38%, and this increase is more pronounced as the confinement coefficient becomes larger; (4) the residual capacity-to-ultimate capacity ratio is larger than 0.75 for test specimens, thus identifying the composite columns have good ductility. The working mechanism and force model of the composite columns were analyzed, and based on the twin-shear unified strength theory, calculation methods of axial capacity for columns with two load conditions were established.

  • 이 연구는 중등학교 학생들에게 비행의 원리를 이해하고 항공 기술 분야에 흥미를 가질 수 있도록 하기 위해 학교 현장에 적용 가능한 교수-학습 자료인 학습용 풍동의 힘 측정 장치를 개발하였다. 연구의 내용은 학습용 풍동의 힘 측정 장치 개발과 실험으로 이루어져 있다. 이 연구에서 얻은 주요 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 공과대학 기계계열 학과나 항공연구소 등에서 사용하는 고가의 Load cell을 이용한 장치 대신에 지렛대 원리를 활용한 간단한 구조이다. 종합된 하나의 장치로 양력, 항력 및 유체 저항 비교 실험이 가능하다. 에어포일 받음각에 따른 양력 계수는 실험값과 이론값이 전체적으로 비슷한 경향성을 갖으며, 실속 현상은 실험값이 이론값보다 더 큰 받음각에서 나타났다. 에어포일 받음각에 따른 항력 계수는 실험값과 이론값이 전체적으로 비슷한 경향성을 갖으며, 실험값은 이론값에 비해 항력 계수의 증가 비율이 완만하게 증가하였다.

Space grid analysis method in modelling shear lag of cable-stayed bridge with corrugated steel webs

  • As few multi-tower single-box multi-cell cable-stayed bridges with corrugated steel webs have been built, analysis is mostly achieved by combining single-girder model, beam grillage model and solid model in support of the design. However, such analysis methods usually suffer from major limitations in terms of the engineering applications: single-girder model fails to account for spatial effect such as shear lag effect of the box girder and the relevant effective girder width and eccentric load coefficient; owing to the approximation in the principle equivalence, the plane grillage model cannot accurately capture shear stress distribution and local stress state in both top and bottom flange of composite box girder; and solid model is difficult to be practically combined with the overall calculation. The usual effective width method fails to provide a uniform and accurate "effective length" (and the codes fail to provide a unified design approach at those circumstance) considering different shear lag effects resulting from dead load, prestress and cable tension in the construction. Therefore, a novel spatial grid model has been developed to account for shear lag effect. The theoretical principle of the proposed spatial grid model has been elaborated along with the relevant illustrations of modeling parameters of composite box girder with corrugated steel webs. Then typical transverse and longitudinal shear lag coefficient distribution pattern at the side-span and mid-span key cross sections have been analyzed and summarized to provide reference for similar bridges. The effectiveness and accuracy of spatial grid analysis methods has been finally validated through a practical cable-stayed bridge.

TP 계수를 이용한 적응적 실시간 트래픽 할당 스케듈러의 성능 향상에 관한 연구 (A study on the performance improvement of an adaptive, real-time traffic assignment scheduler using the TP coefficient)

  • 현재 융합 산업과 유비쿼터스 기술이 고도화되면서 U-City, 스마트폰과 같은 다양한 인프라 및 장치에서 고부하를 요구하는 네트워크 컨텐츠를 지원하고 있다. 이에 따라 멀티미디어 데이터와 같은 전통적인 고부하 컨텐츠의 실시간 참조가 급증하여 네트워크 부하에 따른 멀티미디어 재생 품질이 급격히 하락할 것으로 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 서로 다른 재생 성능을 가지는 다양한 클라이언트 매체가 요청하는 스트림 전송량을 시간 중심의 컨텐츠 선호도와 매체 선호도를 통합한 TP(Top Performance) 계수에 따라 MMS(Multimedia Streaming Server)의 가용 트래픽을 차등 할당하여 멀티미디어 재생 품질을 향상시키는 MPP(Media Preference for Presentation) 기반의 트래픽 할당 기법을 개선하였다. 통합된 TP 계수를 실시간 트래픽 할당스케듈러에 적용하고, 시뮬레이션 실험을 통해 멀티미디어 재생 스트림이 서버의 가용 트래픽 이내에서 할당되고 있음을 확인하였다. 그리고 MPP 기반의 실시간 스케듈링 알고리즘을 시간 중심형 영상 컨텐츠와 매체 선호도의 가중치를 이용하여 통합한 TP 계수를 이용하여 개선하였고, 실험을 통해 트래픽을 요청하는 3개의 클라이언트에 대해 3.91%, 4개의 클라이언트에 대해 3.88%의 가용 트래픽 손실률을 줄였다.

일순간최대풍속의 난류특성에 관한 평가 (Estimation on the Turbulence Characteristics of Daily Instantaneous Maximum Wind Velocity)

  • 내풍설계에서 기본풍속의 경우 우리나라는 10분 평균풍속을 이용하고 있지만, 기후변화와 태풍의 직간접 영향 및 강도증가로 인한 순간최대풍속이 구조물에 미치는 영향이 더 크다는 사실이 알려지고 있고, 일부 다른 나라에서는 이러한 순간풍속의 효과를 고려 3초의 평균풍속을 이용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 1973-2016연까지의 일순간최대풍속의 확률과정, 통계적 성질, 난류의 특성 등을 평가하기 위하여 대표지점(17개 지점)을 선정했다. 선정된 각 지점에 대한 일순간최대풍속자료는 기상청으로부터 획득했다. 획득된 순간풍속의 해석결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 제주 서귀포 여수 부산에서의 8 7 9월에 0.2~0.35%로 나타났고, 서울 대관령은 3 4 5월에 0.25%로 나타났다. 2. 확률과정의 왜도평가에서 해안지역보다는 내륙지역에서의 더 큰 비정규성을 나타냈다. 3. 인접지역의 상관계수 평가에서 서울 인천(0.8), 대전 청주(0.75), 제주 서귀포(0.72) 순으로 나타났으며, 대관령 강릉은(-0.07), 전주 군산(0.0)은 인접지역의 영향이 거의 없는 것으로 나타났다.

상대 재료의 경도를 고려한 DLC필름의 트라이볼로지 특성 (A Study on Tribological Characteristics of DLC Films Considering Hardness of Mating Materials)

  • DLC films were deposited on Si wafer by RF plasma assisted CVD using CH4 gas. Tribological tests were conducted using rotating type ball on disk friction tester in dry air. Four kinds of mating balls were used. The mating balls were made with stainless steel but apply different annealing conditions to achieve different hardness conditions. Testing results in all load conditions showed that the harder the mating materials, the lower the friction coefficient among the three kind of martensite mating balls. In case of austenite balls, the friction coefficients were lower than fully annealed martensite ball. The high friction coefficient in soft martensite balls seems to be caused by the larger contact area between DLC film and ball. The wear tracks of DLC films and mating balls could have proven that effect. Measuring the wear track of both DLC films and mating balls have similar tendency comparing to the results of friction coefficients. Wear rate of austenite balls were also smaller than that of fully annealed martensite ball. The results of effect of applying load showed, the friction coefficients were become decrease when the applying loads exceed critical load conditions. The wear track of mating balls showed that some material transfer occurs from DLC film to mating ball during the high friction process. Raman spectra analysis showed that transferred material was a kind of graphite and contact surface of DLC film seems to undergo phase transition from carbon to graphite during the high friction process.

레일손상에 의한 윤중증가를 고려한 표면균열 성장예측 (Prediction of Surface Crack Growth Considering the Wheel Load Increment Due to Rail Defect)

  • Prediction of a minimum crack size for growth, which is defined as a crack size that grows fast enough to keep ahead of its removal by contact wear and periodic grinding, is the most demanding work to prevent rail from fatigue failure and develop cost effective railway maintenance strategy In this study, we investigated the wheel load increment due to a rail defect during a train ran over it, and its effect on the minimum crack size for growth. For this purpose, we developed simulation software based on the Fletcher and Kapoor's "2.5D" model and measured wheel load increment during a train passed over a defect. A maximum contact pressure and contact patch size were calculated by 3D FEM and crack growth analyses were performed by varying two of dominant contact contributors; surface friction coefficient(0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4) and crack aspect ratio. The minimum crack sizes for growth were calculated from 0.29 to 1.44mm depending on the contact conditions. They were decreasing with increasing surface friction coefficient and decreasing with crack aspect ratio(a/b).

영종대교 강직결 궤도구조의 동적거동에 관한 연구 (Dynamic Behavior of Direct Fixation Track on Yeongjong Grand Bridge)

  • 본 연구에서는 영종대교를 구성하고 있는 교량형식(트러스교, 현수교)별 열차종류(AREX, AREX Express, KTX, KTX-Sancheon) 및 열차속도가 강직결 궤도구조의 동적거동에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 현장측정을 수행하였다. 현장측정결과를 바탕으로 궤도충격계수 및 열차주행안정성(탈선계수, 윤중감소율, 레일두부횡변위)을 국내, 외 관련기준 및 법규와의 비교하여 영종대교 교량상 강직결 궤도구조의 동적거동에 영향을 미치는 열차하중 및 속도의 효과를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 영종대교 교량형식별 궤도의 동적거동의 차이는 뚜렷하지 않으나 열차하중의 크기에 보다 직접적인 영향을 받는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 향후 열차속도 증가에 따른 궤도충격계수의 증가와 이에 따른 궤도부담력의 증가수준을 감안한 영종대교 강직결 궤도구조의 보강방안 수립이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

강우 유출수를 이용한 비구조적 BMPs의 저감효율 분석 (Efficiency of the Non-structural BMPs with Reduced Rainfall Runoff)

  • Effect of tillage on time of initial runoff, runoff coefficient, NPS pollution load, soil erosion and crop productivity were studied. Eight runoff plots of $5{\times}30m$ on loamy sand field that were 4 respective plots of 3 % and 8% slope were prepared. Treatment included conventional tillage (CT) and no-till (NT). Time of initial runoff from NT retarded between 247~261 % compared with that from CT. Under 3% slope, runoff coefficient in NT was 63.5 % lower than that in CT. The reduction under 8 % slope was 61.7 %. Differences in runoff reduction between 3% and 8% plots were not significant. NT could reduce more than 60 % of NPS pollution and between 50~85 % of sediment if compared with CT. Productivity of NT was also shown that it was not lower than that of CT. It was expected that the results could be used as a fundamental data for estimating a reduction load in Korea TMDL from a no-till BMP on loamy sand agricultural fields.
