거푸집 설치 방법에 따른 철도 전철주기초의 모멘트 저항 거동 (Moment Resisting Behaviors of Railway Electric Pole Foundation According to Form Work Methods)

  • 철도선로에 설치되는 전철주기초의 모멘트에 대한 거동을 파악하기 위한 실물 재하시험을 수행하였다. 현장타설방식으로 설치된 폭 1.1m, 깊이 2.2m의 정사각형 전철주기초 2본에 대하여 실제 조건과 동일한 모멘트 위주의 하중을 가하여 기초의 항복모멘트를 확인하였다. 거푸집 설치 여부가 기초의 저항모멘트에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위하여 동일한 조건에서 거푸집을 설치한 경우와 그렇지 않은 경우에 대하여 시험하였다. 거푸집 설치 효과로 흙과 지반의 접촉면이 매끈해지면서 발생하는 마찰력 감소보다는, 거푸집 미설치 시 굴착지반의 이완에 의한 기초 주변지반의 강도 감소 효과가 더 크게 나타나는 것으로 나타났다. 비례계수를 사용하여 포괄적으로 전철주기초의 저항모멘트를 산정하는 현행 설계방법으로는 거푸집의 설치효과를 적절히 고려할 수 없었으며, 연직응력과 마찰력을 분리하여 저항모멘트를 산정하는 경우에는 기초와 지반의 마찰각을 20% 감소시킴으로써 거푸집 설치효과에 대한 합리적인 고려가 가능하였다.

디지털 영상처리를 이용한 사장교의 변위 측정 (Displacement Measurement of Cable Stayed Bridge using Digital Image Processing)

  • 본 논문은 돌산대교 모형 사장교에 하중을 주었을 때 발생되는 변위를 측정하기 위한 방법으로 디지털 영상처리 방법을 도입하여 실험을 하였다. 돌산대교 모형 사장교는 30:1로 축소한 경우로 길이 15.5m, 너비 400mm이다. 실험 방법은 영상처리 결과를 ANSYS 해석결과와 변위계 측정결과를 비교, 분석하여 영상처리 기법의 타당성을 검증하였다. 본 실험에 적용된 영상처리 기법은 상호상관 계수를 적용하였으며, 실험 조건은 100kgf 재하 하였을 때의 변위와 200kgf 재하 하였을 때의 변위를 측정하는 실험을 수행하였다. 분석 결과 하중이 추가적으로 증가하여 발생되는 변위가 커질수록 영상처리에 대한 신뢰성도 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 하중이 100kgf에서 200kgf으로 증가할 때, ANSYS 결과대비 오차율이 31%에서 14%로 감소하였으며, 변위계 결과대비 오차율 역시 17%에서 4%로 감소하였다. 200kgf 재하시 14%, 4%의 차이를 보이고 있어, 영상처리 기법으로 충분히 변위를 측정할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 향후 연구로는 동영상 파일로 부터 고유진동수를 측정하는 방법에 대해서 연구하고자 한다.

장경간 강바닥판 케이블교량에 적용하기 위한 폴리우레탄 폴리머콘크리트의 공용특성 연구 (A Study to Evaluate Performance of Poly-Urethane Polymer Concrete for Long-Span Orthotropic Steel Bridge)

  • PURPOSES: The purpose of this study is to evaluate physical properties, durability, fatigue resistance, and long-term performance of poly-urethane concrete (PU) which can be possible application of thin layer on long-span orthotropic steel bridge and to check structural stability of bridge structure. METHODS : Various tests of physical properties, such as flexural strength, tensile strength, bond strength and coefficient of thermal expansion tests were conducted for physical property evaluation using two types of poly urethane concrete which have different curing time. Freezing and thawing test, accelerated weathering test and chloride ion penetration test were performed to evaluate the effect of exposed to marine environment. Beam fatigue test and small scale accelerated pavement test were performed to assess the resistance of PU against fatigue damage and long-term performance. Structural analysis were conducted to figure out structural stability of bridge structure and thin bridge deck pavement system. RESULTS: The property tests results showed that similar results were observed overall however the flexural strength of PUa was higher than those of PUb. It was also found that PU materials showed durability at marine environment. Beam fatigue test results showed that the resistances of the PUa against fatigue damage were two times higher than those of the PUb. It was found form small scale accelerated pavement test to evaluate long-term performance that there is no distress observed after 800,000 load applications. Structural analysis to figure out structural stability of bridge structure and thin bridge deck pavement system indicated that bridge structures were needed to increase thickness of steel deck plate or to improve longitudinal rib shape. CONCLUSIONS: It has been known that the use of PU can be positively considered to thin layer on long-span orthotropic steel bridge in terms of properties considered marine environment, resistance of fatigue damage and long-term performance.

GIS를 이용한 경기도 화남2지구의 지하수오염 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prediction of Groundwater Contamination using the GIS in Hwanam 2 Sector, Gyeonggi Province, Korea)

  • 본 연구는 DRASTIC 모델에 구소선밀도, 토지이용 인자를 추가한 수정 DRASTIC 모델을 개발하여 경기도 화남2지구의 지하수오염 가능성을 예측하고자 하였다. 우리나라의 수리지질 환경에서 대수층은 대부분 암반 대수층인 점을 고려했을 때, 구조선밀도는 지하수 및 오염물질 유동에 직접적인 영향을 미치고, 토지이용은 점오염원 혹은 비점오염원의 영향을 간접적으로 반영할 수 있기 때문이다. 통계분석을 위하여 각 인자별 격자 레이어를 생성하고, 각각의 상관계수를 분석함으로써 신뢰도 여부를 판단하였다. 최종 결과물인 종합오염현황도는 수정 DRASTIC Potential과 여러 가지 오염원의 발생 부하량 값을 논리비교함으로써 수리지질학적인 측면에서의 오염가능성 지역과 수질측면에서의 오염가능성 지역을 예측할 수 있는 방안을 제시할 수 있었다.

경사핑거접합법에 의한 소나무재의 휨강도성능개량 (I) (Improvement of Bending Performances by Sloped Finger-Joint Method in Pinus densiflora S. et Z. (I))

  • The bending performances of sloped finger-joints in Pinus densiflora S. et Z. were tested in order to improve the strength properties of finger-joint Sloped finger-cut pieces were jointed with four kinds of adhesives(resorcinol-phenol, oilic urethane, polyvinyl acetate, and polyvinyl-acryl acetate resin). The slope ratios of finger joints were 0, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0. The MOE, MOR and defletion to maximum load in bending of sloped finger-joints and solid wood specimen were measured. The results were: 1. The efficiencies of MOE to finger and sloped finger-joints were 82% or greater in every kind of adhesives except polyvinyl-acryl acetate resin adhesive and there were some effect of slope on the MOE in a sloped finger-joint for polyvinyl-acryl acetate and oilic urethane resin adhesives. 2. The effects of slope on the MOR to sloped finger-joints were showed in every kind of adhesive, because the efficiencies of MOR increased with increasing slope ratio in sloped finger-joints. The efficiencies of MOR to slope ratios of 0 and 2.0 ranged 43~65% and 76~82%, respectively. There was almost no effect of the kinds of adhesives on the MOR to the slope ratio of 2.0. 3. It was found impossible to estimate the bending strength of sloped finger-jointed Pinus densiflora S. et Z. by using MOE. The correlation coefficient(0.124) between MOE and MOR was very low and not significant at 5% level.

Tribological Behaviors on nano-structured surface of the diamond-like carbon (DLC) coated soft polymer

  • Tribological behaviors of the hard film on soft substrate system were explored using the hard thin film of diamond-like carbon (DLC) coated the soft polymer of polydimethysiloxane (PDMS). A DLC film with the Young's modulus of 100 GPa was coated on PDMS substrate with Young's modulus of 10 MPa using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) technique. The deposition time was varied from 10 sec to 10 min, resulting in nanoscale roughness of wrinkle patterns with the thickness of 20 nm to 510 nm, respectively, at a bias voltage of $400\;V_b$, working pressure 10 mTorr. Nanoscale wrinkle patterns with 20-100 nm in width and 10-30 nm height were formed on DLC coating due to the residual stress in compression and difference in Young's modulus. Nanoscale roughness effect on tribological behaviors was observed by performing a tribo-experiment using the ball-on-disk type tribometer with a steel ball of 6 mm in diameter at the sliding speed of 220 rpm, normal load of 1N and 25% humidity at ambient temperature of $25^{\circ}C$. Friction force were measured with respect to thickness change of coated DLC thin film on PDMS. It was found that with increases the thickness of DLC coating on PDMS, the coefficient of friction decreased by comparison to that of the uncoated PDMS. The wear tracks before and after tribo-test were analyzed using SEM and AFM.

Thermal buckling analysis of magneto-electro-elastic porous FG beam in thermal environment

  • An analytical formulation and solution process for the buckling analysis of porous magneto-electro-elastic functionally graded (MEE-FG) beam via different thermal loadings and various boundary conditions is suggested in this paper. Magneto electro mechanical coupling properties of FGM beam are taken to vary via the thickness direction of beam. The rule of power-law is changed to consider inclusion of porosity according to even and uneven distribution. Pores possibly occur inside FGMs due the result of technical problems that lead to creation of micro-voids in these materials. Change in pores along the thickness direction stimulates the mechanical and physical properties. Four-variable tangential-exponential refined theory is employed to derive the governing equations and boundary conditions of porous FGM beam under magneto-electrical field via Hamilton's principle. An analytical model procedure is adopted to achieve the non-dimensional buckling load of porous FG beam exposed to magneto-electrical field with various boundary conditions. In order to evaluate the influence of thermal loadings, material graduation exponent, coefficient of porosity, porosity distribution, magnetic potential, electric voltage and boundary conditions on the critical buckling temperature of the beam made of magneto electro elastic FG materials with porosities a parametric study is presented. It is concluded that these parameters play remarkable roles on the buckling behavior of porous MEE-FG beam. The results for simpler states are proved for exactness with known data in the literature. The proposed numerical results can serve as benchmarks for future analyses of MEE-FG beam with porosity phases.

오염원 산정단위를 고려한 새만금유역 수질모델링 (Developing surface water quality modeling framework for Saemangeum considering spatial resolution of pollutant load estimation using HSPF)

  • 본 연구에서는 유역모델링 시 오염원 산정의 공간적 범위를 합리적으로 고려하기 위해서, 유역모델링을 위한 소유역 구분간의 공간해상도를 유역의 오염부하량 산정을 위한 공간단위 수준으로 설정하여 새만금호 유역수질모델링을 실시하였다. 모형 구축은 HSPF (Hydrological Simulation Program - Fortran)를 이용하였으며, 오염부하량 산정단위인 리 동의 행정경계, 수치표고모델(DEM), 농경지 배수로 등 구조물들을 고려하여 새만금 유역을 대상으로 804개의 소유역을 구분 적용하였다. 소유역 세분화에 따른 계산량을 고려하여 효과적인 모델 구동을 위해 만경유역 7개, 동진유역 7개, 연안유역 3개 (총 17개)의 서브모델로 모의시스템을 구성하여 상류에서 하류로 서브모델을 순차적으로 보 검정 및 모의하도록 구현하였다. 유량 보 검정은 14개소 수문측정자료(2009~2013)와 자동보정기법을 적용하여 수행하였다. 유량보 검정결과 NSE (Nash-Sutcliffe coefficient)가 0.66~0.97, PBIAS가 -31~16.5%, $R^2$는 0.75~0.98의 범위를 보여 모형의 적용성을 확인할 수 있었다. 한편, 수질 보 검정의 경우 29개소 수질측점을 대상으로 온도, DO, BOD, TN, TP의 항목에 대해 유량보정과 같은 기간에 대해 수동보정을 실시하였다. 수질결과는 일부 상류유역에서 갈수기시 모의값이 다소 불안정한 부분이 발견되나 대체로 각 측점의 수질에 대한 시간적 변동 패턴과 평균적 수질은 합리적으로 모의하는 것으로 나타났다. 공간세분화에 따른 모델링결과를 선행연구들과 비교한 결과, 유량부문에서 우수성을 보였으나 수질부문은 비슷한 수준으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 향후 유역 오염원, 수자원 운영 등에 관한 정밀 자료 확보 시 이를 고려하는 고도화된 수문 수질 모델링 개발 및 구축에 적용될 수 있는 시스템으로 활용성이 높을 것으로 판단된다.

Concrete pavement monitoring with PPP-BOTDA distributed strain and crack sensors

  • In this study, the feasibility of using telecommunication single-mode optical fiber (SMF) as a distributed fiber optic strain and crack sensor was evaluated in concrete pavement monitoring. Tensile tests on various sensors indicated that the $SMF-28e^+$ fiber revealed linear elastic behavior to rupture at approximately 26 N load and 2.6% strain. Six full-scale concrete panels were prepared and tested under truck and three-point loads to quantify the performance of sensors with pulse pre-pump Brillouin optical time domain analysis (PPP-BOTDA). The sensors were protected by precast mortar from brutal action during concrete casting. Once air-cured for 2 hours after initial setting, half a mortar cylinder of 12 mm in diameter ensured that the protected sensors remained functional during and after concrete casting. The strains measured from PPP-BOTDA with a sensitivity coefficient of $5.43{\times}10^{-5}GHz/{\mu}{\varepsilon}$ were validated locally by commercial fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors. Unlike the point FBG sensors, the distributed PPP-BOTDA sensors can be utilized to effectively locate multiple cracks. Depending on their layout, the distributed sensors can provide one- or two-dimensional strain fields in pavement panels. The width of both micro and major cracks can be linearly related to the peak strain directly measured with the distributed fiber optic sensor.

쌍축 컨테이너선의 조종성능 특성 연구 (Study on the Maneuvering Characteristics of a Container Ship with Twin Skegs)

  • Recently, the attention to large container ships whose size is greater than 10,000 TEU container ship has been increased due to their increasing demand. The large container ship has twin skegs because of the engine capacity and large beam-draft ratio. In this paper, the maneuvering characteristics of a container ship with twin skegs were investigated through 4DOF(four degree of freedom) HPMM(Horizontal Planar Motion Mechanism) test and computer simulation. A mathematical model for maneuvering motion with 4DOF of twin skegs system was established to include effects of roll motion on the maneuvering motion. And to obtain roll-coupling hydrodynamic coefficients of a container ship, 4DOF HPMM system of MOERI which has a roll moment measurement system was used. HPMM tests were carried out for a 12,000 TEU class container ship with twin skegs at scantling load condition. Using the hydrodynamic coefficients obtained, simulations were made to predict the maneuvering motion. Rudder forces of twin-rudders were measured at the angles of drift and rudder. The neutral rudder angles with drift angles of ship was quite different with those of single skeg ship. So other treatment of flow straightening coefficient $\gamma_R$ was used and the simulation results was compared with general simulation result. The treatment of experimental result at static drift and rudder test was very important to predict the maneuverability of a container ship with twin skegs.
