The purpose of this study is to examine grandparents' role to their grandchildren, the role type, and the variables that influence the role. For this purpose, data were collected from 542 grandparents through questionnaire. The main findings are as follows: 1. The most frequent role activity that grandparents perform include 'advising their grandchildren to be successful,' 'encouraging them to study hard,' 'having them help housework,' and 'teaching them how to behave', whereas the least one is 'to teach things such as cooking, paduk, and chess.' 2. Supporting role, educating role and raising role are three types of grandparents' role activity to their grandchildren. 3. One of the significant variables affecting their role level is living arrangement of grandparents. In addition, age, economic level, and educational level are partially effective variables in grandparents' role, along with whether they work or not, how often they meet their grandchildren, and how old their grandchildren are. However, it is not among significant variables whether they are healthy, or whether they are paternal or maternal.

By achieving these things you can create a place where the spiritual or inner needs can be addressed and where you can indulge in calming or stimulating the senses with light, space, and free flow of energy In Zen interior we approach 'Homoㆍaesthetcus' by feeling and' Homoㆍreligious' by mind. "Less is more", this phrase has made the pared down environment an interior form.

Living in the present, specially in this multi-cultural society, we have to look back our tradition in many aspects. And we try to find out our own identity. Color is very important element to decide what is traditional or not. And it‘s a prominent factor for design subject visually. With the color from traditional residence, we will figure out traditional color and it‘s combination which the people prefer today, so we can applicate and develop it in the present design. Using color palette which has extracted from traditional building and space, a survey has done of university students for finding out which they think of traditional color. The result showed that Y-R type and Y-R type in color palette was the most traditional things by the students. This study is meaningful in the way of clarifying that university students think what is the traditional color and color palette.

Objectives : Hakomi therapy is a body-centered psychotherapy established by Ron Kurtz in the 80s. Here we introduce the clinical possibilities of application in Korean medicine through Hakomi therapy. Methods : At first, we present the definition, basic principles, terms and outline of Hakomi therapy in reference to "Body-centered psychotherapy The Hakomi Method," published by Ron Kurtz. Then we study the clinical application of Hakomi therapy on Korean medicine. Results : There are many similarities between Hakomi and Korean medicine, such as Mind-Body holism, organicity through homeostasis of living things, non-violent attitude of therapist like Tao, and emphasis on breathing by corresponding with Nature. Also, there are similarities in methods, such as Ohjisangseung, Iijungbyunqi, and Qigong. Hence, Hakomi therapy can be useful in Korean psychotherapy. Conclusions : If we can graft Hakomi therapy onto Korean psychotherapy, it will be efficacious for Korean psychotherapy to be systematized.

The psychiatry features of narcissism are molded by the outcome of a mismatch or lack of tension between the realistic self and the ideal self, and it is related to the problems of alienation. That is, the problems of alienation lead to the outcome of a mismatch between the realistic self and the ideal self by the unindividuality which lose a senses of the reality in all every things, and it make man to even more to give up the realistic self and to be alive powerlessness living. In this views, this study examined the relationship between narcissism and alienations or subfactors, and the concrete subscale of the Narcissistic Personality Scale which had a influence on the alienations to experientially investigate the relation between narcissism and alienations. Juveniles were administered both the Narcissistic Personality Scale and the Alienations Scale. The results showed a positive relationship between narcissism and alienations, and the alienations was influenced of the self-centeredness and the exploitation/Privilege subscale of the Narcissistic Personality Scale. Therefore, narcissists feel alienations too much, and the more a person has self-centeredness and exploitation/Privilege of narcissistic traits, the higher alienations is.

This paper is a part of "The Study of the Traditional Korean Ethnic Farmhousing in Yanbian, China". The purpose of this study focuses on Korean farm house and is twofold: 1) to survey the working space and storage space for tools: 2) to investigate the daily use of space according to the different work activities. It is based on a survey of 124 households in the farm villages of Lunching, China. Survey research methods included a field study in Dallajae. A questionnaire was used to conduct this study. the study found that the working space for the koran farm family is divided into an indoor area and outdoor area. The indoor space includes working areas where the families live their daily life, cook, launder, clean, mange the house keeping, usually stare the grain. The outdoor space includes areas to store the grain, farm tools, rice box, shelves and other things such as sewing machine, iron, and tools used for cleaning the house and for farming. The center of life and work for the farm family was the chung-ji-kan (the combined kitchen and major ondol living room) located in the indoor space.oor space.

This study is written with a purpose to force the changes of way of life in the 21st century through recognizing an environment based on a correct ecological world-view, and to create environmental design of seeing the nature and humans as one organism. This study is focused especially in environmental design and written generally based on urban ecology, human ecology, cultural ecology, and plant ecology with this multi-interdisciplanary approach. To understand meaning of ecosystem by considering the theory of ecology for ecological approach of the environmental design, and to grope for possibility of applying environmental design by considering what to analyze and how to differenciate concept for ecological environmental plan from the mechanical design. Through this study it was realized that the ecological design starts from the recognition of seeing the humans and nature as a one and form being aware of significance of all the living things in our surrounding environment.

The aninmatronics is a technique for representing animals or new kinds of living things like aliens with robots and machines. The motions of cameras and objects can be made complicatedly and finely by using various kinds of actuators. But it needs so many actuators to make complicated motions. To handle difficulty to synchronize actuators and to make a database of motions of actuators, the animatronics system that has layered structure with CAN is proposed. The system is devided by a three layers-PC, microcontrollers and actuators so that the problems which arise from using too many actuators such as management of data and time delay of processing data can be handled.

선박이 배출하는 안정수(ballast water)는 외부로부터 유해 생물들이 유입되어 전파해 오는 주요경로로써, 해양환경 변화를 초래하는 매우 중요하고 위험한 일중의 하나이다. 그러나 이에 대한 효과적인 처리방법은 아직까지도 미흡한 상태이다. 선박 안정수에 포함되어 타 지역으로부터 옮겨지는 외래침입생물 처리 방안의 하나로, 강 전리방전 기술을 적용하여 고 밀집 산소와 물분자로부터 고농도 수산자유기(OH: hydroxyl radical)를 전리, 발생시켜서 활성입자를 신속히 확산시켜 비교적 낮은 수산기농도 하에서 유해성침입생물을 소멸 처리하는 환경 친화적 녹색 청정처리방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 기술은 대상물의 처리 후 부수적으로 발생할 수 있는 처리잔류물이 전혀 발생하지 않으며, 인공적 화학성분의 약제를 사용하지 않는 저렴한 처리방법이므로 대ㆍ소형 원양선박의 안정수에 들어있는 외래침입생물의 타 지역 해양확산을 안전하게 처리할 수 있는 자연치유적 신기술이다.

All living things share some common life processes, such as growth and reproduction, and have the ability to respond to their environment. However, each type of organism has its own specialized way of managing biological events. Genetic sequences determine phenotypic and physiological traits. Based on genetic information, comparative genomics has been used to delineate the differences and similarities between various genomes, and significant progress has been made in understanding regenerative biology by comparing the genomes of a variety of lower animal models of regeneration, such as planaria, zebra fish, and newts. However, the genome of lizards has been relatively ignored until recently, even though lizards have been studied as an excellent amniote model of tissue regeneration. Very recently, whole genome sequences of lizards have been uncovered, and several attempts have been made to find regeneration factors based on genetic information. In this article, recent advances in comparative analysis of the lizard genome are introduced, and their biological implications and putative applications for regenerative medicine and stem cell biology are discussed.
