It is an important element that contributes to the image of outdoor scenery. • Past research suggests that a landscape has a specific situational meaning that is comprized of physical, social, and functional dimensions. and that the meaning: influences person/landscape interactions. In this study. the effect of landscape meaning on three landscape assessment(scenic beauty assessment, picnic preference, living preference) was tested by manipulating landscape meaning in three ways: Korean-positive, Korean-neutral, American-positive The results showed that landscape ,meaning played an important role in determining cognitive interactions and affective experiences of landscapes. However, it should be notch that the beneficial effect of positive meaning on landscape experiences depended on people's tasks and levels of oflandscape beauty. The effect was larger for both picnic preference (than scenic beauty and living preference) and low-beauty landscape (than the high-beauty) . • This was a systemized bed consisted of storage units, a desk, a drawer, a sofa and a shelf. This bed system was not designed only for a certain age group of children but also for various age groups of children, since each parts of the bed can be sued separately. Separation of parts of the bed allowed children to decorate their own living space and gives them a chance to express their own feeling and thoughts by layout of parts. Design adopts the beauty of nature such as smoothly curve lines which are perfectly fit for the children's living space. The moving sofa located under the bed and the book shelf lead children to establish a pattern of reading habit. The draw and storage units offer nice space for keeping children's goods.

  • Jeung Wan-yeong expresses his perception of hometown in two ways. First, it is a nature-friendly pastoral place. His geographical hometown, a nature-friendly pastoral place, is Gimcheon; he produced many works in which he longed for nature in the place. These works have a large amount of lyric, pastoral, and bucolic contents, without any conflict, on the basis of peace, longing, and Oriental nature-friendly thought. Second, the hometown perceived by Jeung Wan-yeong is a rest place for both ancestors and descendants. According to his definition, 'Hometown is a village where the living and the dead coexist: Longing for a hometown immediately may be that for parents, and is often expressed as that for siblings and old friends. In other words, a hometown is a place where there are ancestors' graves, and parents, siblings, and relatives; in Jeung Wan-yeong's works where it is perceived as a place with memories for them. the hometown has eternal maternity.

  • The Sign system of nursing home plays an important role when an elderly adapts to new environment and gets on daily life autonomously. Common living spaces are expecially important in maintaining social nature, adequate signage should be installed to aid them in finding their ways. Sign system is a comprehensive system consisted of various factors. In this research, it has been categorized as signage and cueing. Signage includes text and graphic signs, and cueing consists of floor plan configuration and sensual mechanism of visual, auditory, olfactory senses. Using this framework, held investigation and analysis were held in common area(shared living room, shared dining room, toilet) of 14 Korean, 8 Northern European, and 10 Japanese nursing home facilities. The result revealed that even though sign system should work as a combined unit, each factor was planed without relations to each other and did not perform mutually complementary role. Signage was installed too high, without considering the posture of elderly. Korean facilities used abundant and diverse signage compared to other countries. Japanese nursing home preferred cueing method over signage, and those of Northern Europe used plentiful visual cues such as color and ornaments.

  • The central proposal of this essay is that religious education in Catholic schools is to educate for living faith and not simply for instruction about Catholic or other religious traditions. For long this claim was taken for granted. Now, however, and for various reasons, there is growing sentiment that formation in faith is exclusively the work of family and parish, whereas religious education in Catholic schools is to proceed solely as an academic discipline, teaching religion as one might teach mathematics or science or any other subject. This essay proposes that we resist this diminution of religious education in Catholic schools (hereafter RECS) and precisely to honor the nature, purpose, and ways of knowing that are inherent to Christian faith, and likewise to reflect the Christian intellectual tradition.
