A study on the color image of the apartment living room in Korea (한국 아파트 거실의 색채이미지에 관한 연구)

  • Living room in modern housing accepts social behavior of modem family realized diversified life and the core of the housing space. So living room in the housing space is composed of many various components, handled very carefully in a color plan. This study is purposed on proposing basic data for color planing of the living room in an apartment, especially a sold housing accommodating the social change. As a result of understanding the color image of a apartment living room for the last 5 years, phenomenon of using natural color which makes people feel comfortable is common with durability. Also the image of space composition which usually called in modern, classic and dandy is appeared with various coloration easily in a medium-large or large living room, So these show the various demand of high-level or medium-level inhabitants. For an actual proof, basic data for research about the color image of a apartment living room in korea have to be accumulated constantly. After that the research which can take concrete shape and visualize the change of the color image of korean apartment living room will revitalize.

A Behavioral study for the Space Organization of Dwelling Unit of Apartment (집합주택의 실공간구성을 위한 거주자 행태연구)

  • The behavioral-related environmental study for multifamily housing is needed to develop the quality of unit floor plan in terms of user comfort and needs. So, the aim of this study is to find out the living style and housing needs in terms of interaction between the users behavior pattern and orgarnization of physical home space. For the purpose, the field experiments in Pusan, have been carried out with 318 households living in apartments by plan types(2BL, 3BL, 4BL, 5BL) which were classified by number of bedrooms. The dwelling space usage behavior(room use pattern and furniture uasge pattern) and the space adjustment behavior(physical modification of space and preferred space adjustment attitude) were examined and analyzed.

A Study on Female College Students′ Clothing Behaviors according to Their Life Styles - focused on Chungju city - (여대생의 생활양식에 따른 의복행동에 관한 연구 - 청주시를 중심으로 -)

  • The purposes of this study were : 1) to investigate the differences of female students' clothing behaviors and their life styles according to their demographic data, 2) to examine the differences of their clothing behaviors according to their life styles. The data were collected from 440 female college students in Chungju city through self-administered questionnaires, and were analyzed by frequencies, Cronbach's alpha, t-test, factor analysis, cluster analysis, one way ANOVA and Sheffe test. The results of the study were as follows : Four variables of clothing behavior were significantly different according to father's occupation, father's monthly income, student's major, student's monthly expenditure on clothing and her companion when purchasing her clothing. Life styles were classified five types. The dimensions of life styles were significantly different according to student's major and monthly expenditure on clothing. There were highly significant differences between life style dimensions and clothing behavior variables.

  • This case study was designed to test the effect of eclectic play therapy with parent's counseling and education programs for aggressive 2 years old boy. It was found that the boy had some important problems about emotion control ability, social problem-solving skill, and basic daily living practices adding to aggressive behavior. After the treatment of 10 sessions which taken once in a week, he showed much improved ability about emotion control, social problem-solving skill and basic daily living practices, and didn't show any more aggressive behavior without proper reason.   • This study is concerned with the functions of dwelling space effected by the tendency that the number of furniture in the household has increased in recent years. The functions of dwelling space were grasped on the basis of dwelling - behavior tenitories. The possession of furniture was surveyed In 144 units of apartment house. Observation with questionnaire was carried out through pilot and main survey. 1) The dwelling - behavior territories of Anbang, Living Room and D.K. each were classified into 4 kinds. These territories were assorted into two categories ; first, the similar territories were integrated and specific various territories formatted, second, new kind dwelling spaces were required2) Accordingly, Anbang have to be re - setted up Anbang and storage, Living Room and D.K. re - setted up L.D.K. and Utility. In this way, it coudld be possible, that creative reasonable space were formated for more satisfactory. Therefore relationships between furniture possession and the usage of dwelling spaces wre identified.

Relationships among Eating Behavior, Dietary Self Efficacy and Nutrition Knowledge of Elementary School Students in Gangwon Province (강원지역 초등학생의 영양지식, 식생활태도, 식이자기효능감과의 관련성)

  • This study was made to provide basic materials required to develop the program for desirable change of eating behavior which might be regarded as the aim of nutrition education. In this study, the relationship between the factors known to be affecting eating behavior like nutrition knowledge and dietary self efficacy was examined with high grade elementary students in Gangwon Province. The results are as follows; First, positive relationship was observed with significant difference(p<0.001) in the relationships between eating behavior and dietary self efficacy(r=0.465), between nutrition knowledge level and eating behavior(r=0.216) and between nutrition knowledge level and dietary self efficacy(r=0.312). Second, the ratio explaining the effect of dietary self efficacy and nutrition knowledge on eating behavior was 22.3%, and it affected in the order of significance level such that dietary self efficacy(p<0.001) and nutrition knowledge level(p<0.05). Third, the level of desirable eating behavior was consistent with the level of nutrition knowledge. And the scores of nutrition knowledge were $28.97{\pm}4.66$ for 'poor' group, $30.01{\pm}3.85$ for 'normal' group, $31.13{\pm}3.94$ for 'good' group and $31.75{\pm}4.10$ for 'excellent' group. When the scores of eating behavior was considered in accordance with the level of nutrition knowledge, there was difference between the groups with poor and normal scores and the groups with good and excellent scores(p<0.001), however, there was no difference between poor and normal group, and between good and excellent group. Fourth, it was found that dietary self efficacy affected the eating behavior level by level. The eating behavior score was $23.82{\pm}5.25$ for the poor dietary self efficacy group, $26.88{\pm}4.00$ for the normal group, $30.27{\pm}3.66$ for the good group and $32.81{\pm}3.79$ for the excellent group. It showed that as the degree of dietary self efficacy increased the degree of eating behavior increased in all four groups (p<0.001).

Dietary Behavior, Health Related Behavior and Nutrient Intake of Female College Students in Chungbuk Area (충북지역 일부 여자대학생들의 건강관련행동과 식행동 및 그에 따른 영양섭취수준 비교)

  • This study was intended to investigate dietary behavior, health related behavior and the effects of nutrient intake of female college students. Dietary behavior, health related behavior and the perception of the body conditions were surveyed with anonymous questionnaires, and 24hrs recall method for nutrient intake was obtained from 161 female college students in Chungbuk area. The mean height and weight of the subjects were $161.4{\pm}5.0$cm and $53.8{\pm}7.4 $kg, respectively. The dietary behavior of female college students was generally inadequate. More specifically, irregularity of meals, indifference of dietary balance, and skipping breakfast, showing $4.77{\pm}2.20$for dietary behavior score, $11.76{\pm}3.89$ for DVS and $3.58{\pm}0.82$ for DDS, respectively. It was found that almost 63% of subjects did not anything for health care and the frequency of exercise of subjects was low. The perception of body conditions of the subjects seemed to be generally positive. However, satisfaction levels on body shape was very negative showing that only 12.4% of subjects answered as 'very satisfied' and 'satisfied'. When nutrient intake of the female college students was compared with Dietary Reference Intake for Korean, folate(45%), potassium(55%), vitamin C(59%), Ca(72%), fiber(72%), Fe(79%) and energy(80%) were found to be insufficient. But protein(138%), P(122%) and Na(179%) were found to be oversupplied. The nutrient intake of fiber, plant Ca, vitamin A, ${\beta}$-carotene, vitamin B6, vitamin C, folate and vitamin E were significantly higher, and those of Fe, Zn and protein were a little high in the high score group of dietary behavior. Also Food group intake, DDS and DVS were higher in the high score group of dietary behavior.

Study on the Perception and Behavior for Preparing their Old Age (성인기의 노후준비의식과 노후준비행동에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study were to examine the perception and behavior for preparing their old age. In order to achieve this purpose, a survey was conducted with 723 adults from Daegu and Kyungpook. Major findings of this study are as follow: First, there were statistically significantly different perception for preparing their old age according to the personal variables such as gender, age, education, marriage status, occupation and income. Second, there were statistically significantly different perception for preparing their old age according to the elderly-related variables such as taken the elder program, interests in media for elderly, the opinion on living together with the aged, contact with aged and the opinion about contact with aged. Third, there were statistically significantly different behavior for preparing their old age according to the personal variables such as gender, age, religion, education, marriage status, occupation and income. Finally, there were statistically significantly different behavior for preparing their old age according to the elderly-related variables such as taken the elder program, interests in media for elderly, the opinion on living together with the aged and the opinion about contact with aged.

The Correlation Study on Health-promoting Behavior and Life Satisfaction of the Elderly in Urban Area

  • Purpose: This study was to identify the correlation between the health-promoting behavior and life satisfaction in elderly of the urban area. Method: The subjects of this study were 202 people aged over 65 who had been living in urban area. Data was collected through questionnaires from April 10th to September 30th, 2002. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient with SPSS statistical program. Result: The health-promoting behavior was given the informations that nutrition practices were most highly ranked, followed by interpersonal relationships, self-actualization, stress management, health responsibility, and exercise. The mean scores of health-promoting behaviors were significant differences in age and educational level. Life satisfaction was significantly related to only living situation. Health-promoting behavior of the subjects was found to be statistically significant and positively correlated with life satisfaction. Conclusion: These results suggested that elderly people in urban areas with high degree of quality of life is likely to be in practice with high degree of health-promoting behaviors. Therefore, it is necessary to develop health promotion programs in order to enhance the quality of life of elderly people in urban areas.

The development of the scale for Health promotive behavior (건강증진 행위 관련 요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the level of health promotive behavior of adults and thereby to develope the health promotive behavior scale adjusting our sociocultural situation. The item for health promotive behavior was aquired from statements which was reported by Kim through deep interview with 164 Korean adults. The scale was measured with 4 points Likert type. Data was collected with questionnaire for population living in farm of Chungnam Province and Dae Jon City, from July to August 1994 by research assistant trained by researchers. Data was analysed using SPSS program with Cronbach $\alpha$ and factor analysis. The results are as follows : 1. For the reliability of the scale, Cronbach $\alpha$ was .8264 2. The factor analysis to examine the construct validity showed that health promotive behaviors included 9 factors: health management (16.0%), regular life style(7.4%), psychosomatic control(5.6%), moderation of living(4.6%), stress rnanagement(4.1%), abstain from favorite (3.9%), sanitary habit (3.8%), thought (3.2%), diet habit(3.1%). Nine factors explained 51.7% of varient.
