  • 영상 인식 기술은 인공지능 기술을 기반으로 인식하고자하는 객체의 형상, 객체 주변의 환경변화 및 객체 회전에 의한 인식 능력 저하를 보완할 수 있는 객체특징점 및 특징 기술자를 생성하고, 생성된 특징 기술자를 이용하여, 영상 객체를 인식하는 기술로, 일반적으로 영상에 나타난 객체를 인식하는 기술을 뜻한다. 스마트 안전 축사에서 전력소비 및 화재 발생 복합 환경 분석을 위해 설치되는 전력화재 관리 디바이스를 통합 관리함으로써 축사 전력 사용의 효율성 향상 및 전기 사용의 과부화로 발생할 수 있는 사고를 방지하여 축산 농가의 이익 증대 및 피해를 최소화하고 안전하고 최적화된 지능형 스마트 안전 축사를 개발하여 보급하는데 요구되는 전력 관리 프레임워크를 구현하는데 목적이 있다.

A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF GRAZING BEHAVIOUR OF TEDDY GOATS VERSUS THALLI SHEEP

  • Experiment involved range vegetation classified into three major classes: Xerophytic trees, shrubs and grasses. Among them samples of major plant species were collected and analysed for chemical composition. The experimental animals 20 each of Thalli sheep and Teddy goats, located at Livestock Experiment Station Rakh Kharewala district Layyah (Pakistan) were randomly drawn from the main flock. The grazing pattern data were collected from one animal of each species. The observations regarding the grazing behaviour, breeding efficiency and carcass quality were also determined. It was found that overall preference index of Teddy goats were higher for Khabble (Cynodon dactylon) indicated by percent of the total number of bites made on different plant species, while the bites on Lumb (Aristida plumose), Mahabbat booti (Cenchrus biflorus), Dhaman (Cenchrus ciliaris) and Karera (Elionorus hirsutus) were found to be 1.28, 6.74, 0.32 and 3.87 percents. The browsing species as a whole were utilized more during the draught period. Among the grasses, sheep heavily utilized Khabble grass, with overall bite percentage of 89.27. Within browsing species Wan (Salvadora oleoides) and wind fallen dry leaves of Wan were considerably picked by the sheep showing 1.19 and 3.49 overall bite percentage respectively. The overall daily growth rates & dressing percentage for Teddy goats and Thalli sheep were 48.33, 39.00 and 51.00, 46.00 percent respectively. Moreover, among the experimental animals 50 percent goats exhibited signs of oestrus where as none of the sheep came into heat during the study period.

  • In the past, antibiotics and antimicrobial substances have been used for the purpose of promoting the growth of livestock or treating livestock, but various problems such as the presence of livestock products or resistant bacteria have emerged. Recently, regulations on the use of antibiotics have been strengthened worldwide, and probiotics are attracting attention as an alternative. Probiotic microorganisms have already been used for human use, such as intestinal abnormal fermentation, diarrhea, and indigestion. In livestock, beneficial microorganisms are increasing in use for the purpose of improving productivity, such as promoting livestock development and preventing diarrhea. Therefore, it is advisable to understand livestock probiotics in deeper and think about effective uses. The role of probiotics in the livestock sector is made with microorganisms themselves, so it is a substance that promotes livestock growth and improves feed efficiency by settling in the intestines of livestock, suppressing the growth of other harmful microorganisms, helping digestion and absorption of ingested feed, and helping to synthesize other nutrients. There is a need for a probiotic that suppresses intestinal bacteria by supplying probiotics used as a means to minimize the effects of stress in livestock management, thereby suppressing disease outbreaks by maintaining beneficial microorganisms and suppressing pathogenic microorganisms. The purpose of this paper is to develop a brand of feed additive probiotics to improve health conditions due to increased feed intake, improve the efficiency of use of feed nutrients, inhibit the decomposition and production of toxic substances, increase immunity, reduce odor in livestock, and improve the environment. We investigated and analyzed feed additive probiotics already on the market, and developed the naming and logo of suitable feed additive probiotic brands in livestock. We hoped that the newly developed product will be used in the field and help solve problems in the livestock field.

송야천 유역의 비점오염물질 유출 특성 및 오염기여율 분석 (Analysis of Characteristics of NPS Runoff and Pollution Contribution Rate in Songya-stream Watershed)

  • In this study, the characteristics of nonpoint pollutant outflow and contribution rate of pollution in Songya-stream mainstream and tributaries were analyzed. Further, water pollution management and improvement measures for pollution-oriented rivers were proposed. An on-site investigation was conducted to determine the inflow of major pollutants into the basin, and it was found that pollutants generated from agricultural land and livestock facilities flowed into the river, resulting in a high concentration of turbid water. Based on the analysis results of the pollution load data calculated through actual measurement monitoring (flow and water quality) and the occurrence and emission load data calculated using the national pollution source survey data, the S3 and S6 were selected as the concerned pollution tributaries in the Songya-stream basin. Results of cluster analysis using Pearson correlation coefficient evaluation and Density based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) technique showed that the S3 and S6 were most consistent with the C2 cluster (a cluster of Songya-stream mainstream owned area) corresponding to the mainstream of Songya-stream. The analysis results of the major pollutants in the concerned pollution tributaries showed that livestock and land pollutants were the major pollutants. Consequently, optimal management techniques such as fertilizer management, water gate management in paddy, vegetated filter strip and livestock manure public treatment were proposed to reduce livestock and land pollutants.

Changes of Potential NPK Input by Chemical Fertilizers and Livestock Manure from 1990 to 2011 in Korea

  • The livestock manure is a good source of major plant nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and micronutrient that plants require. As aspect of establishment of nutrient management policy in nation scale, the use of livestock manure for agricultural purpose is a key factor for improving national nutrient balance. In this study, we evaluated the tendency of livestock manure production and amount of chemical fertilizer used in Korea from 1990 to 2011. The number of pig and chicken has been increased about two times in 2011 compared with 1990 and therefore livestock manure continually increased with the lapse of year, but cattle and dairy was not changed significantly. The chemical fertilizer consumption of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium per hectare arable land was decreased by 54.6, 66.0 and 63.2% in 2011 compared with 1990, respectively. In contrast, the potential input of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium to arable land through livestock manure was increased by 220, 210 and 210% during this period, respectively. Therefore we need a reasonable strategy for nutrient management such as combination of both manure and chemical fertilizers in near future.

HSPF 모형을 이용한 축산계 비점오염 저감에 따른 합천댐 유역 수질 영향 분석 (Estimation of Livestock Pollutant Sources Reduction Effect on Water Quality in Hapcheon Dam Watershed Using HSPF Model)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate water quality in Hapcheon dam via using the Hydrological Simulation Program-Fortran (HSPF) model and applied livestock reduction scenarios. Hapcheon dam watershed input data for the HSPF model were established using the stream, land use, digital elevation map and meteorological data and others. The HSPF model was calibrated and validated using the observed water quality data from 2000 to 2016. For water quality simulation, we calculated the generated and discharge loads of the population, livestock, industry and land use following the guideline provided by the Ministry of Environment. The pollutant data were obtained from National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER). The monthly discharge load were estimated by applying the delivery rate. The calibration and validation results showed that the annual mean BOD had a difference of 0.22 mg/L and an error of ±13 %, T-N had a difference of 0.66 mg/L and an error of ±16 % and T-P had a difference of 0.027 mg/L and an error of ±13 %. In order to evaluate the nonpoint pollutants management effects, we applied livestock reduction scenarios because livestock consists of the largest portion of pollutants. As a result of the 20 % of livestock reduction, BOD, T-N and T-P decreased by 3 %, 1 % and 3 %, respectively. When 40 % of livestock reduction was applied, BOD, T-N and T-P decreased by 5 %, 3 % and 4 %, respectively. Based on the results of this study, effective pollutant management methods can be applied to improve the water quality and achieve the target water quality of Hapcheon dam watershed.

가축분뇨로부터 아산화질소 배출량 산출 (Nitrogen Dioxide Emission from Livestock Manure Management)

  • 우리나라는 1998년도에 가축 사육두수가 감소되고 축산물 소비가 둔화되는 등 어려운 점이 많았으나 2012년까지 장기전망으로는 가축 사육두수가 축종에 관계없이 완만하게 상승될 전망이다. 분뇨분해에 의한 아산화질소 배출량은 고유의 분뇨처리시설 유형 점유형태에 대한 자료를 가지고 IPCC (2000)에서 제시하는 조건별 $N_2O$ emission factor 적용하여 산출하였으며 기준년도인 1990년도에 3.71 Gg이었으며 2005, 2010, 2015 및 2020년도에 5.84, 6.07, 6.23 및 6.53Gg으로 각각 추정되었고 기준년도에 비해 2005, 2010, 2015 및 2020년도에는 각각 57.4, 63.6, 67.9 및 76.0% 증가할 것으로 전망되었다. 아산화질소 배출을 줄이면 메탄배출이 오히려 증가하는 특성이 있어 아직까지는 아산화질소 배출저감을 위한 수단이 미약한 실정이며 추후 기술적인 검토가 필요하며 IPCC의 고정값을 사용한 것을 고유의 값으로 교체해야 하는 등 배출계수 (emission factor)의 정확도를 제고시켜나가야 한다는 과제를 안고 있다.

  • The organic matter flow in rural watershed in Chongwon-gun , Chungbuk, was evaluated, The study watershed is about 67$\textrm{km}^2$ in area and its population was 7,000 in 1996. The amount of inflow in the study area exceeds the amount of outflow by 534kg/ha , and the livestock feed account for 90 percent of the amount of inflow. The loading of organic matter by livestock waste amounts to 51 percent of total loading to agricultural land and the enviornment. The increase in recycling of livestock waste is essential for the management of orgainc matter in the rural watershed.

  • The current study was conducted to identify relationship between myosin heavy chain I to objective color dimensions. Myosin heavy chain I isoform showed coefficients of determinant($r^2$) of 0.54 and 0.40 for Hunter a* and b* values. For he current dataset, Hunter a* value at day 1 had higher relationships with that at both day 7 and 14, emphasizing the importance of initial meat color which is largely affected by animal management prior to slaughter.

원헬스 기반 인수공통감염병의 미래 관리 전략 (Future Management Strategies for Zoonoses Based on One Health)

  • Zoonoses are the diseases that are transmitted to human being from vertebrate animals either from livestock animals or from wildlife. Recently, zoonoses are increasingly common as a result of incremental human-animal contact. Propagative infections in wild animals and livestock are transmitted to human beings who are encountered with them. In general, wild animals can transmit infectious agents to livestock, and then livestock further transmit them to human being is a simple model of on how zoonotic diseases get transmitted to human being. This model emphasizes the importance of early detection of zoonoses by surveillance at its incipient stage. Cooperation between the respective ministries plays an important role in the identification of zoonoses and planning for the formulation of better preventive and control policy and strategy. We will be able to predict the occurrence of zoonotic diseases in human on the basis of disease trends in wildlife and livestock once when we obtain the surveillance data and data generated by respective ministries through sound cooperation and collaboration.
