Immature hybrid embryos of H. hybridum, 'Picottee', 'White Christmas', 'Eldorado', 'Origin', 'Red Lion', 'elstar', 'Crypsy' were cultured on the MS medium supplemented with various concentrations of 2,4-D, NAA, BA and TDZ. Among the treatments, NAA were more effective for the shoot regeneration and bulblet formation than other treatment. Addition of 0.5 ㎎/L NAA was effective for bulblet induction from explant Shoot regeneration was most effective on the medium with 1.0㎎/L NAA and 2.0 ㎎/L TDZ. The addition of 1.0-2.0㎎/L TDZ induced numerous shoots per explant but strongly inhibited root development when compared to 1.0-2.0㎎/L BA. When bulb scale segments of 'Star Van Holland' was incubated, bulblet formation was the most effective on MS medium with 0.5㎎/L NAA.

The western heraldry influenced by the style of periodic art, the lion and the eagle charges were expressed simply and laconically in Romanesque period, laconically but forcibly in Gothic period, and elegantly and elaborately in the period of the Renaissance. The symbolical character of each charge expressed in the heraldry in the process of the changes of the times can be summarized as follows: 1) The ferocious beast like the eagle or the lion in the heraldry is symbolic of a majestic appearance of sovereign's. 2) The legendary or mythical monster in the heraldry is the symbol of holding sacred the heraldry owner endowed superhuman ability from him, or the symbol of coercion or menace to the other party on the appearance of being sized with fear. 3) The domestic animals or the poultry in the heraldry are chiefly symbolic of intrepidity, bravery, sacrifice, or faithfulness, which can be supposed a subject's loyalty to his sovereign. 4) The lamb or the cross in the heraldry is the charge concerned with Christ who brought a fundamantal thought in the middles ages. So they can be said the symbol of Christianity.

A 5-year-old female lion-head rabbit weighing 2 kg was brought to a local animal hospital with hematuria. Radiography showed a mass in the uterus, which was removed by ovariohysterectomy. Macroscopic examination showed several masses in both uterine horns. These masses, which invaded the deep uterine walls, were firm to the touch, and their cut surfaces were greyish-white in color. Histopathologically, these masses were nonencapsulated and were composed of spindle cells arranged in cellular, large interlacing bundles or streams. The tumor cells had elongate nuclei with prominent nucleoli, granular chromatin and eosinophilic cytoplasm. Moderate anisocytosis and anisokaryosis were observed. Severe and extensive inflammation and necrosis were present within the masses. Immunohistochemically, the neoplastic cells were positive for vimentin, desmin, and α-smooth muscle actin, but negative for cytokeratin. These uterine masses were diagnosed as leiomyosarcoma. To our knowledge, this is the first report of a uterine leiomyosarcoma in the rabbit in Korea.

We propose and demonstrate a searching and autoalignment method for indoor optical wireless communication, using a cost-effective retroreflective sheet and a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) mirror. We use an extremum-seeking method for a single axis and beam steering with a MEMS mirror to maintain a line of sight (LOS) with the optical link. This autoalignment method shows a receiver sensitivity of -31.87 dBm for a bit rate of 2.5 Gb/s over a 7 m communication link.

The present study intends to find a proper solution for the estimation of the physical behaviors of enlarged piles through a combination of small-scale laboratory tests and a hybrid computational predictive intelligence process. In the first step, experimental program is completed considering various critical influential factors. The results of the best multilayer perceptron (MLP)-based predictive network was implemented through three mathematical-based solutions of dragonfly algorithm (DA), whale optimization algorithm (WOA), and ant lion optimization (ALO). Three proposed models, after convergence analysis, suggested excellent performance. These analyses varied based on neurons number (e.g., in the basis MLP hidden layer) and of course, the level of its complexity. The training R² results of the best hybrid structure of DA-MLP, WOA-MLP, and ALO-MLP were 0.996, 0.996, and 0.998 where the testing R² was 0.995, 0.985, and 0.998, respectively. Similarly, the training RMSE of 0.046, 0.051, and 0.034 were obtained for the training and testing datasets of DA-MLP, WOA-MLP, and ALO-MLP techniques, while the testing RMSE of 0.088, 0.053, and 0.053, respectively. This obtained result demonstrates the excellent prediction from the optimized structure of the proposed models if only population sensitivity analysis performs. Indeed, the ALO-MLP was slightly better than WOA-MLP and DA-MLP methods.

Feline bocavirus (FBoV) is considered an emerging pathogen recently identified in domestic cats worldwide. To date, three species of FBoVs (FBoV-1, FBoV-2, and FBoV-3) have been reported, but there are no reports identifying FBoVs in Korea. In this study, we detected novel FBoVs for the first time in Korea in captive wild felids (four European lynx and a lion) kept at Seoul Zoo. In FBoV-positive fecal samples, not only singular infections but also dual or triple infections with three different species of FBoVs were confirmed, suggesting that three species of FBoVs are already introduced and co-circulated in susceptible host animals in Korea. These results will help expand our understanding of the geographical distribution and host susceptibility of novel FBoVs. Further studies are necessary to determine the infection status of FBoVs in domestic cats and the genetic characteristics of the viruses circulating in Korea.

Alkyl ethoxy sulfate type surfactants, widely used in commercial cleansers, are easily adsorbed to skin to often cause skin irritation and inflammation if not thoroughly rinsed nut. In order to replace or complement existing surfactants, we screened the existing surfactants through protein denaturation method, cell cytotoxicity assay and human IL-1$\alpha$ assay, etc. Fourteen surfactants have been chosen from among too irritant anionic, cationic and/or zwitter-ionic ones and investigated for cell cytotoxicity in human fibroblast cell lines using monolayer culture with the thirteen commercially available cleansers for sensitive skin. From these results, we selected 5 surfactants and 2 commercial cleansers (names not shown), such as sodium laureth sulfate (anionic), sodium cocoyl isethionate (anionic), sodium lauroamphoacetate (zwitter-ionic), and cocamidopropyl betaine (zwitter-ionic), alkyl polyglycoside (non-ionic). 20 formulations were made out of 5 surfactants and five of them were chosen through a protein denaturation method (lower than 3 M sodium dodecyl sulfate solution ($13.2\%$)), cell cytotoxicity and human patch test. These five selected formulations containing preservatives were compared to two selected commercial cleansers by cell cytotoxicity and human IL-1$\alpha$ ELISA assay using dermal equivalent. Finally, we selected the best formulation. To this formulation, fructan ($3\%$ or $5\%$) or/and portulaca extract ($3\%$ or $5\%$) well known for its anti-inflammatory and moisturizing effects were added and investigated for cell cytotoxicity using dermal equivalent. In cytotoxicity assay using dermal equivalent, two formulations containing $5\%$ fructan and $3\%$ or $5\%$ portulaca extract were less toxic than the others. In cytotoxicity assay and human IL-1$\alpha$ ELISA using 3D culture, the selected formulation containing $5\%$ fructan and $5\%$ portulaca extract showed better efficiency than those of the others and 2 commercial cleansers. As a result, we could develop a low irritant and safe liquid cleanser.

This study is to illuminate the problem of shadows and evil appearing in contemporary events in the midst of a period of upheaval through Inferno of Divine Comedy. First, the concept of shadow and evil were briefly summarized in analytical psychology and discussed the importance of considering the concepts with the empirical aspect of relativity and ethics in the field of psychotherapy. The 14th century, the age of Dante, was the embryonic period of the Renaissance beyond the end of the Middle Ages. It was when Dante, who was writing Divine Comedy, had to take off his persona forcibly and live in exile. In a nutshell, it was a transition period for both the individual and the collective. The dark forest is a nigredo, darkness and chaos we face in this transition, but it can be a place of transformation and rebirth. The three beasts (leopard, lion, and she-wolf) encountered in the forest can be considered as the instinctual images that Dante ignored and alienated, which the medieval Christian world had suppressed and eliminated. Especially at the collective level, as destructive instincts, ferocious beasts roam throughout society when a crisis breaks dominant laws of values. The three beasts of Inferno appear as phenomena of shadows and evil. The aspect of leopard was explored Cerberus and Chiaco(pig) as a symbol of greed, and the lion, Farinata as the form of violent passion. The aspect of the she-wolf was examined as Geryon, a deceitful monster with a beast nature hidden behind goodness, the giants in the frozen lake of Cocytus, and Branca D'Oria, who betrayed and murdered the country and family. Inferno reveals the "state" of being trapped when one yields to the evil hidden within oneself and falls into prey.

In this paper, a method for camera position estimation in gasher using elechoendoscopic image sequence is proposed. In orders to obtain proper image sequences, the gasser in divided into three sections. It Is presented thats camera position modeling for 3D information extvac lion and image distortion due to the endoscopic lenses is corrected. The feature points are represented with respect to the reference coordinate system below 10 percents error rate. The faster distortion correction algorithm is proposed in this paper. This algorithm uses error table which is faster than coordinate transform method using n -th order polynomials.
