열분해/GC/MS와 IR을 이용한 사찰 벽화 시편 교착제 분석 (Analysis of Binding Media Used in Mural Painting of Temple Wall by Pyrolysis/GC/MS and IR)

  • 전남 진도군 소재 사찰의 보수 공사 중 벽화가 발견되어 제작기법 파악을 위해 교착제로 사용된 물질을 확인하고자 하였다. 이에 해당 벽화 시편에 대해 열분해/GC/MS와 IR 분석을 실시하였으며, 열분해/GC/MS분석은 직접 열분해와 온라인 메틸화법을 도입하였다. IR 분석에서 아교, 옻, 황칠 등 전통 교착제와 초산아크릴계 수지의 스펙트럼을 벽화시편과 비교했을 때 유사하지 않았으며, 건성유인 아마인유와 비교했을 때도 유사도가 낮았다. 벽화시편의 열분해/GC/MS 분석 결과를 옻, 황칠, 아교, 초산아크릴수지와 비교했을 때 이들 물질이 아닌 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 벽화시편에서 팔미트산, 옥타데칸산, nonanedioic acid, 옥타데센산 등 건성유에 특징적인 물질이 검출되었고, 경화 건성유와 유사한 열분해/GC/MS 크로마토그램이 관찰되었다. 따라서, 벽화는 건성유를 교착제로 사용하여 제작된 것으로 판단되었다.

Effects of dietary supplementation with a combination of plant oils on performance, meat quality and fatty acid deposition of broilers

  • Objective: This study was to evaluate effects of mixed plant oils (identified as mixed oil 1 [MO1] and mixed oil 2 [MO2]) on performance, serum composition, viscera percentages, meat quality, and fatty acid deposition of broilers. Methods: A total of 126 one-day-old Arbor Acres male broiler chicks (weighing $44.91{\pm}0.92g$) were randomly allocated to 1 of 3 treatments with 7 replicate pens per treatment (6 broilers per pen). Dietary treatments included a corn-soybean basal diet supplemented with 3% soybean oil (CTR), basal diet with 3% MO1 (a mixture of 15% corn oil, 10% coconut oil, 15% linseed oil, 20% palm oil, 15% peanut oil and 25% soybean oil; MO1), or basal diet with 3% MO2 (a combination of 50% MO1 and 50% extruded corn; MO2). The trial consisted of phase 1 (d 1 to 21) and phase 2 (d 22 to 42). Results: Compared to CTR, broilers fed MO (MO1 or MO2) had greater (p<0.05) average daily gain in phase 1, 2, and overall (d 1 to 42), redness in thigh muscle, concentrations of serum glucose, serum albumin, saturated fatty acids (SFA) and n-6/n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) ratio in breast muscle, while these broilers also showed lower ($p{\leq}0.05$) drip loss and concentrations of C18:3n-3 and PUFA/SFA ratio in breast muscle. Broilers fed MO2 had higher (p<0.05) liver percentage, while broilers fed MO1 had lower ($p{\leq}0.05$) feed conversion ratio in phase 1 and increased (p<0.05) contents of C18:2n-6, C20:5n-3, C22:6n-3, and n-3 PUFA in breast muscle compared to CTR. Conclusion: Mixed plant oils had positive effects on performance, serum parameters, meat quality, liver percentage and fatty acid deposition in broilers, which indicates they can be used as better dietary energy feedstocks than soybean oil alone.

Linseed oil supplementation affects fatty acid desaturase 2, peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma, and insulin-like growth factor 1 gene expression in turkeys (Meleagris gallopavo)

  • Objective: Effects of linseed oil (LO) supplementation on the fat content and fatty acid profile of breast meat, and the expression of three genes in the liver, breast muscle and fat tissues of commercial 154-day-old hybrid male turkeys were investigated. Methods: The animals in the control group were fed a commercially available feed and received no LO supplementation (n = 70), whereas animals in the LO group (n = 70) were fed the same basic diet supplemented with LO (day 15 to 21, 0.5%; day 22 to 112, 1%). The effect of dietary LO supplementation on fatty acid composition of breast muscle was examined by gas chromatography, and the expression of fatty acid desaturase 2 (FADS2), peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma (PPARγ), and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) genes was analysed by means of quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Results: The LO supplementation affected the fatty acid composition of breast muscle. Hepatic FADS2 levels were considerably lower (p<0.001), while adipose tissue expression was higher (p<0.05) in the control compared to the LO group. The PPARγ expression was lower (p<0.05), whereas IGF1 was higher (p<0.05) in the fat of control animals. There were no significant (p>0.05) differences in FADS2, PPARγ, and IGF1 gene expressions of breast muscle; however, omega-6/omega-3 ratio of breast muscle substantially decreased (p<0.001) in the LO group compared to control. Conclusion: Fatty acid composition of breast meat was positively influenced by LO supplementation without deterioration of fattening parameters. Remarkably, increased FADS2 expression in the liver of LO supplemented animals was associated with a significantly decreased omega-6/omega-3 ratio, providing a potentially healthier meat product for human consumption. Increased PPARγ expression in fat tissue of the LO group was not associated with fat content of muscle, whereas a decreased IGF1 expression in fat tissue was associated with a trend of decreasing fat content in muscle of the experimental LO group.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of various dietary lipid sources on the growth performance, body composition, and fatty acid profiles of juvenile fancy carp (Cyprinus carpio var. koi). Three replicate groups of fish (initial mean body weight, 15.1±0.18 g) were fed one of five experimental diets containing fish oil (SLO), soybean oil (SO), linseed oil (LO), lard (LA), or a mixture of SLO, SO, and LO (Mix) for 8 weeks. Fish fed the LA diet gained less weight than did fish fed the LO diet. The feed efficiency and protein efficiency ratio of fish fed the LA and Mix diets were lower than those of fish fed the SO and LO diets. The body lipid content of fish fed the SO diet was lower than those of the other groups. Whole-body fatty acid compositions reflected the fatty acid compositions of dietary lipid sources. Fish fed the SO diet had high concentrations of linoleic acid and arachidonic acid, whereas fish fed the LO diet were rich in linolenic acid. Fish fed the SLO diet had significantly higher levels of eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid compared with fish fed the SO, LO, and LA diets. The results of this study suggest that SO or LO could be used as a replacement for SLO in the diets of juvenile fancy carp without any negative effects on growth and feed utilization when the dietary essential fatty acid requirements are satisfied for juvenile fancy carp.

넙치 종묘생산을 위한 Rotifer와 Artemia nauplius의 영양강화효과 (Efficiency of Enriched Rotifer and Artemia nauplius for the Seedling Production of Flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus)

  • 해산 어류나 갑각류의 유생 사육시 초기 동물 먹이 생물인 rotifer, Brachionus plicatilis를 oil의 종류와 함량을 서로 다르게 첨가한 유지효모로 배양한 결과와, 이 rotifer와 Artemia nauplius에 위에 각 유지효모와 다른 여러 영양강화제로 영양강화한 후 넙치 자어에 공급하여 자어의 성장과 생존을 비교해 본 결과, 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. 1. 12종의 유지효모로 rotifer를 배양했을 때 오징어 간유 $15\%$가 첨가된 유지효모의 경우가 가장 좋았다. 2. 오징어 간유 $15\%$의 유지효모로 rotifer를 배양했을 때, rotifer.의 최대성장이 Chlorella ellipsoidea의 경우와 비슷하였고 (140 inds./ml) 나머지 유지효모는 현저히 낮았다. 3. 그러나 오징어 간유 $15\%$의 유지효모로 배양된 rotifer를 넙치 자어에 공급했을 때 자어의 성장과 생존율은 Chlorella의 경우보다 좋았다. 4. 또 영양강화제로 영양강화된 rotifer와 오징어 간유 $15\%$ 유지효모로 배양된 것을 넙치 자어에 공급하여 자어의 성장과 생존율을 비교했을 때도 오징어 간유 $15\%$의 유지효모가 가장 좋았다. 5. 오징어 간유$5\%,\;15\%,\;25\%$ 첨가된 유지효모로 영양강화된 Artemia nauplius를 넙치 자어에 공급했을 때 intact nauplius의 경우보다 자어의 높은 성장과 생존율을 나타냈고, 그 중에서 $25\%$ 함량의 유지효모가 가장 좋았다. 6. Artemia nauplius에 대한 유지효모의 적정 영양강화 시간과 농도는 각각 6시간과, 1.5g/g cyst였으며, 유지효모(오징어 간유 $5\%,\;15\%,\;25\%$)와 여러 영양강화제를 비교했을 때도 오징어 간유 $25\%$의 경우가 자어의 가장 높은 성장과 생존율을 나타냈다.

EMI shielding effectiveness and mechanical properties of MWCNTs-reinforced biodegradable epoxy matrix composites

  • Biodegradable epoxy (B-epoxy) was prepared from diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A and epoxidized linseed oil. The mechanical properties of B-epoxy composites reinforced with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs/B-epoxy) were examined by employing dynamic mechanical analysis, critical stress intensity factor ($K_{IC}$) tests, and impact strength tests. The electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI-SE) of the composites was evaluated using reflection and absorption methods. Mechanical properties of MWCNTs/B-epoxy were enhanced with an increase in the MWCNT content, whereas they deteriorated when the MWCNT content was >5 parts per hundred resin (phr). This can likely be attributed to the entanglement of MWCNTs with each other in the B-epoxy due to the presence of an excess amount of MWCNTs. The highest EMI-SE obtained was ~16 dB for the MWCNTs/B-epoxy composites with a MWCNT content of 13 phr at 1.4 GHz. The composites (13 phr) exhibited the minimum EMI-SE (90%) when used as shielding materials at 1.4 GHz. The EMI-SE of the MWCNTs/B-epoxy also increased with an increase in the MWCNT content, which is a key factor affecting the EMI-SE.

생분해성 고분자를 이용한 발수 에멀션의 제조(II) - PLA 및 PBS 에멀션 코팅 과일봉지의 물성 비교 - (Preparation of Emulsion from Biodegradable Polymer(II) - Characteristics of paper treated as PLA and PBS emulsion -)

  • In this study, two biodegradable polymer(PLA, PBS) emulsions were treated on agricultural packaging paper such as fruit bagging paper. Water-repellency, mechanical properties, and SEM image with thermal aging were measured on the emulsion treated fruit bagging paper. Biodegradable polymers(such as poly lactic acid, poly butylene succinate) emulsion treated fruit bagging paper had higher water-repellency and strength than other water-repellent(such as acrylic repellent, linseed oil and paraffin wax) treated fruit bagging paper. According to FE-SEM results of polymer emulsion coated fruit bagging paper, the colloidal particles of emulsion after thermal treatment (looks like being) were adhered to the fibers. Thus, using biodegradable polymer emulsion is expected to protect a fruit for a long time.

유리섬유강화 에폭시 레진 복합체의 기계적, 유전체 특성에 미치는 첨가제 함유 에폭시 영향 (Effect of Additive-added Epoxy on Mechanical and Dielectric Characteristics of Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites)

  • Three different types of additives, thiokol, epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) and epoxidized linseed oil (ELO), were dispersed in an epoxy matrix before being used in glass fiber (GF) composites, and their effects on the mechanical and dielectric properties of epoxy resin and glass fiber reinforced epoxy composites (GF/EP) were examined. The addition of each of 7 phr ENR, 9 phr ELO and 5 phr thiokol into the epoxy resin increased the fracture toughness significantly by 56.9, 43.1, and 80.0%, respectively, compared to the unmodified resin. The mode I interlaminar fracture toughness of the GF/EP at propagation was also improved by 26.9, 18.3 and 32.7% when each of 7 phr ENR, 9 phr ELO, and 5 phr thiokol, respectively, was dispersed in the epoxy matrix. Scanning electron microscopy showed that the additives reduced crack growth in the GF/EP, whereas their dielectric measurements showed that all these additives had no additional effect on the real permittivity and loss factor of the GF/EP.

국내 인쇄 환경에서 친환경 잉크를 이용한 오프셋 인쇄의 색재현에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Color Reproduction for Offset Printing using Ecological Ink in the Domestic Printing Environment)

  • Currently, environmental contaminants that can cause Aromatic types of hydrocarbons, less than 1% made of Aromatic Free kind of used products, soybean oil products with linseed oil with the products, rice products using a wide range of environmentally ecological ink since 2000 is released quickly. All materials used in printed material, if the green is the best way to print the composite materials in industrial applications, because each process on the print quality and productivity, there can be many differences in this experiment because it accounts for a large proportion in the print general ink in the ink section and the International color standards(ISO2846-1:2006) certified ecological ink were compared. Therefore, in this paper has the ink released from the same company, each common general ink and ecological ink in the same condition which results were focused on whether the emerging international color standard(ISO 2846-1:2006) recognized for environmentally ecological ink printed color reproduction of the actual offset(color reproduction) how conformity to ISO 12647-2 standard color on the basis of the offset would check Color Reproduction. Based on the results of the experiments of this study, given the ecological ink coated paper, uncoated paper both color difference and the gamut of the ISO 12647-2 standard is suitable for ecological ink, the ink's color gamut reproduction, even more than existing international standards, there is no confirmed that the correct color reproduction possible. Using environmentally ecological ink industries is expected to respond to environmental policy.

오메가-3, -6 지방산 고 함유 급이가 돼지 등심의 지방산조성과 품질특성에 미치는 영향 (The effect of high omega-3, -6 fatty acid feeding on the free fatty acid profile and meat quality traits of pork loin)

  • 본 실험은 비육돈 사료 중 오메가-3와 오메가-6 지방산의 증가가 돈육 등심 내 지방산 조성과 돈육의 품질특성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보기 위하여 수행하였다. 사료 중 유지의 조성은 대조구(우지5%), 아마인유(5%), 홍화씨유(5%) 및 혼합유(아마인유2.5%+홍화씨유2.5%)를 배합하여 비육기 삼원교잡돼지(LYD)에 4주간 급여하였다. 돼지 등심의 지방산 조성은 아마인유처리구(T1)에서 linolenic acid의 함량이 $2.35{\pm}0.21%$로 유의적으로 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 홍화씨유처리구(T2)에서 linoleic acid의 함량이 $35.26{\pm}1.91%$로 가장 높게 나타났고, Oleic acid의 함량은 대조구(C)에서 $21.59{\pm}1.85%$로 가장 높았으나 유의적인 차이는 보이지 않았다(p>0.05). 전체 다가불포화지방산의 양은 홍화씨유처리구(T2)가 $47.80{\pm}1.29%$로 다른 처리구보다 유의적으로 가장 높았고(p<0.05), n-6:n-3 비율은 $11.57{\pm}0.90$으로 아마인유처리구(T1)가 가장 낮은 값을 보였던 반면, 홍화씨유급여구(T2)는 오메가-6 지방산의 함량이 높아져서 $37.56{\pm}12.51$로 유의적으로 가장 높았다(p<0.05). 돈육의 pH와 명도, 적색도는 시험유지급여에 따른 변화가 없었으나, 황색도는 홍화씨유처리구(T2)에서 다른 처리구에 비하여 유의적으로 높았다(p<0.05). 또한 보수력과 가열감량에 있어서도 시험유지의 급여에 따른 유의적인 차이가 나타나지 않아(p>0.05) 다가불포화지방산의 함량이 높은 시험유지의 급여가 돈육의 육질특성에는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 볼 때 식물성유지의 급여를 통해 육질에 미치는 영향을 최소화하여 소비자들로부터 각광받고 있는 오메가-3 지방산의 함량을 증가시킬 수 있음을 확인하였으나, n-6:n-3 비율이 권장되는 값에 비하여 높게 나타났으므로(11.57:1) 추후 이 비율을 낮추는 사양기술에 대한 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.
