This paper seeks to use case studies of training programs for teachers at US K-12 schools to provide a model for developing training programs in South Korea for Korean language teachers overseas, and to consider directions for the future. Toward the end, we review examples of professional development programs for Korean language instructors at US K-12 schools that we have developed and conducted between 2011 and 2016. By comparing these programs with the results of post-program assessments, we explore ways of improving those programs. To respect teachers' wishes, these training programs have attempted to strike a balance between cultural and linguistic education while focusing more on workshops, debates, and field trips than on theoretical lectures. The difficulty of operating such programs is the difference in the teachers' individual circumstances and educational context, which necessitates giving teachers an opportunity to discuss the content of the program and find ways to apply it to their own circumstances. To resolve such difficulties, the training programs that we develop should avoid predetermined curriculums and should not be focused on simple drills or the trainer. Instead, these programs should take the approach of proactively incorporating contents desired by the participating teachers by starting with the situations, needs, and tasks of each of those teachers.

The article reveals the essence of cybercrime, approaches to understanding this concept, classification of cybercrime, and other illegal acts in this area. The concept of cybercrime has multi-discourse nature and a certain legal uncertainty. Cybercrimes, their forms and types are analyzed in the economic context. The research vocabulary of the economic industry is defined. The scope and content of concepts denoted by the terms of the sphere covered by cybercrime are studied, and its types and forms are analyzed. The article studies problems, achievements, and prospects of resisting and combating cybercrime during the development of the civil information society and Ukraine's entry into the global information space. The study focuses on the economic motivation of most cybercrimes since some material benefit from the fact of cyber offenses is assumed directly or indirectly.

Purpose - This study aims to explore the influence of emotional discrepancies among investors on the cryptocurrency market. It focuses on how varying emotions affect market dynamics such as volatility and trading volume in the context of Bitcoin trading. Design/methodology/approach - This study involves analyzing data from Bitcointalk.org, consisting of 57,963 posts and 2,215,776 responses from November 22, 2009, to December 31, 2022. Tools used include the Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count (LIWC) software for classifying emotional content and the Python Pattern library for sentiment analysis. Findings - The results show that heterogeneous emotional feedback, whether positive or negative, significantly influences Bitcoin's intraday volatility, skewness, and trading volume. These findings are more pronounced when the underlying emotion in the feedback is amplified. Research implications or Originality - This study underscores the significance of emotional factors in financial decision-making, especially within the realm of social media. It suggests that investors and market strategists should consider the emotional landscape of online forums when making investment choices or formulating market strategies. The research also paves the way for future studies regarding the behavioral impact of emotions on the cryptocurrency market.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the experiential meaning of child-rearing for marriage immigrant women in Korea in the context of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Methods: Using the hermeneutic descriptive phenomenology framework developed by Colaizzi, 10 marriage immigrant women rearing preschool and school-age children were invited through purposive and snowball sampling from two multicultural support centers in Korea. The participants were rearing one or two children, and their original nationalities were Vietnamese, Japanese, Cambodian, and Chinese. Individual in-depth, face-to-face, semi-structured interviews were conducted from September 1 to November 30, 2021. We extracted significant statements from the transcripts, transformed these into abstract formulations, and organized them into theme clusters and themes to authentically capture the essence of the participants' subjective experiences. Results: Four theme clusters with 14 themes were derived. The four theme clusters identified were "navigating child healthcare alone," "guilt for not providing a social experience," "worry about media-dependent parenting," and "feelings of incompleteness and exclusion." This study explored the perspectives of mothers raising children as marriage migrant women who experienced physical and emotional health crises due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusion: The findings underscore that marriage immigrant women encountered heightened challenges in managing their children's health and well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic due to linguistic and cultural barriers limiting access to healthcare and information. Additionally, these women experienced considerable emotional stress from perceived inadequacies in providing a holistic social and developmental environment for their children under extensive social restrictions.

이 연구는 고전 국문 장편 소설 교육에 활용할 수 있는 장르 지식을 설정하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 장르 지식은 개별 작품의 특성을 유적 특성에 대한 앎에 기초해 파악할 수 있도록 하는 것은 물론 사회 맥락에 관한 정보와 유기적으로 연결시킨다는 점에서 교육적 의의가 있다. 이 연구에서는 분량이 길고 작품들 간 내용이 유사한 고전 국문 장편 소설이 장르 지식을 토대로 이해하기에 적합한 텍스트라고 보고, 대표적인 작품인 <소현성록>의 '사용역(register)'을 분석하여 고전 국문 장편 소설의 장르 지식을 마련하는 데 기초로 삼고자 하였다. '사용역'은 시드니 학파에서 장르와 언어를 연결하는 매개로 설정한 개념으로, 사회 맥락(social context) 차원에서는 '장(field)', '주체(tenor)', '양식(mode)'으로 구성되고 언어 층위에서는 각각 '관념적 의미(ideational meaning)', '상호작용적 의미(interpersonal meaning)', '텍스트적 의미(textual meaning)'를 실현한다. '관념적 의미'는 '관념화(ideation)'와 '접속사(conjunction)'에서, '상호작용적 의미'는 '평가(appraisal)'와 '협상(negotiation)'에서, '텍스트적 의미'는 '식별(identification)'과 '주기성(periodicity)'에서 도출되는데, 이들은 각각 경험의 언어화 방식, 참여자 간의 관계, 텍스트의 구성 방식을 알 수 있게 한다. 이러한 틀을 바탕으로 이 연구는 <소현성록>의 언어적 특징에서 '인간의 감정과 욕망에 대한 폭넓은 수용, 그리고 그것이 최종적으로는 규범에 포섭되기를 꾸준히 기다리는 태도'가 나타남을 밝혔다. <소현성록>과 같은 고전 국문 장편 소설은 규범을 온전히 준수하지는 못하더라도 악인으로 전락하지는 않는 인물의 모습을 충실히 그려냄으로써 가부장제 이데올로기 속에서 가(家)를 이루는 구성원들에게 생생한 공감을 불러일으켰으며, 이는 고전 국문 장편 소설의 이데올로기적 함의를 이해하는 데 유용한 장르 지식이 된다.

도덕과수업은 도덕이라는 추상적 대상을 구체적으로 표현하여 전하면서, 정서가 담재된 도덕적 의미의 발생을 추구한다. 이 측면에 주목하면, 도덕과수업은 예술적 상징 언어와 닮음이 있으며, 특히 시적 상징과 닮음이 있다. 시는 예술적 상징 언어의 전형적 양식이며, 시에서 추상적 대상의 의미를 수용 가능하게 표현하는 대표적 표현방식이 시적 상징이기 때문이다. 시적 상징은 시적 성찰을 언어로 표현하지만, 동시에 언어의 한계를 넘어선 형이상학적 의미를 전한다. 이를 위해 시적 상징은 불가시적인 형이상학적 원관념을 암시하는 가시적인 구체적 보조관념을 겉으로 드러낸다. 원관념을 은폐하고 보조관념을 드러내는 시적 상징은 동일성, 암시성, 다의성, 입체성, 문맥성, 전체성 등을 특성으로 한다. 이러한 특성을 가진 시적 상징이 시인의 창조적 상상력과 결합되어 개인적 상징으로 나타나고, 그것이 독자의 상상력과 결합되어 시적 의미로 체험된다. 시적 상징으로서의 도덕과수업은 이러한 시적 체험과 유사한 학습 경험을 제공하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해서 도덕과수업은 논리적이고 산문적인 설명보다는 도덕적 의미 발생이 가능한 상징적 형식으로 구성되어야 한다. 이러한 구성을 위해서는 지도요소를 구체화하는 상징적 매개체 찾고, 상징적 매개체의 도덕적 의미를 다양하게 검색하면서, 그 도덕적 의미에 대한 해석이 가능하도록 수업을 구성해야 한다. 이렇게 구성된 도덕과수업이 시적 상징을 닮는다면, 그 수업은 좋은 시에서 시인이 표현한 주제를 독자가 공감적으로 수용하듯이 교사가 표현한 교육내용을 학생은 정서가 수반된 도덕적 의미로 학습할 수 있다.

시나리오 기반 학습과 관련하여 학습 관련 효과에 관한 많은 연구들이 집중되고 있다. 그렇지만, 이와 관련하여 바람직한 효과 측정 방법이 제시되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 시나리오 학습과 관련하여 보다 바람직한 학습 효과 측정을 위해 하나의 퍼지 논리 기반 프레임워크를 제안하는데 있다. 이러한 프레임워크의 사용은 학습 효과의 측정에 있어서 언어적인 불확실성 문제를 해결할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 시나리오 기반 학습의 효과 측정을 위해 정확성, 이해성, 완비성의 3가지 불확실성 측도를 사용한다. 이러한 측도의 사용은 시나리오 맥락 측면에서 완전성뿐만 아니라 사용자 선택에 따른 효과 차이를 최소화시킬 수 있는 강점을 가진다. 다른 무엇보다도 시나리오 기반의 학습에 퍼지 논리의 적용은 실제 학습 상황에서 학습 목표 도달을 위한 학습 경로 진행 상황을 쉽게 관측할 수 있다.

한국어대화에서는 존대현상(honorification phenomenon)이 일어나기도 하고, 존대대명사(honorific pronoun)가 사용되기도 하며, 맥락상 되찾을 수 있으면 주어나 목적어가 완전히 생략되기도 한다. 이러한 특징적인 언어현상이 일어나는 한국어대화를 처리하고 그것의 표상구조를 만들기 위해서 대화참석자에 관한 정보, 발화문의 화행에 관한 정보. 대화에 관련된 사람들의 사회적 지위에 있어서의 상대적 순위에 관한 정보, 대화에 나타나는 발화문 사이의 정보흐름 등을 묵시적으로가 아니라 명시적으로 표시하고 이용할 것을 본 논문은 제안한다. 또한. 본 논문은 이러한 상황정보(situational information)를 표시하고 이용하는 방법과 한국어대화의 적절한 표상구조를 제시한다. 본 논문에서 한국어대화표상구조의 설정은 담화표상이론(Discourse Representation Theory)과 분할담화표상이론(Segmented Discourse Representation Theory)을 수정ㆍ확대하여 이루어진다. 나아가서, 본 논문은 한국어대화를 전산적으로 어떻게 처리하고 그것의 표상구조를 구축하는지를 프롤로그 프로그래밍 언어를 사용하여 보여주고 나서, 그러한 표상구조의 타당성을 알아보기 위해 자연발생적 한국어대화에도 적용시켜 본다.

이 연구의 목적은 일반 대학생 영어 학습자는 물론 영어교육 전공 대학생들을 위한 영어교육에서 영문학 작품의 활용 방안을 탐색하는 것이다. 영문학 작품은 제2언어는 물론 외국어로서의 영어교육에도 몇 가지 이유에서 매우 유용한 자료이다. 이러한 효용성은 주로 문학 텍스트의 진정성, 문화적, 언어적 가치, 그리고 개인적 감동 등에서 기인한다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 이 논문에서는 영어 교육에서 문학 작품을 활용하는데 있어서 중요한 몇 가지 고려사항들을 살펴 볼 것이다. 이러한 고려사항은 외국어 교실에서 활용할 적절한 문학 텍스트의 선정과 관련된 고려사항들, 문학과 언어 기능의 교수 학습 방법들로서 영어교육에서의 읽기, 쓰기, 듣기 말하기 교육론에 관한 고려사항들을 포함한다. 이러한 고려 사항들은 영어교육에 영문학을 전문적으로 접목하는 이른바 영문학 교육론의 기초가 될 것이다.

이 연구는 비언어적 감성기호인 인간의 표정에 관한 것으로 3D캐릭터콘텐츠제작을 위한 기반 연구로 진행되었다. 인간의 감정과 표현에는 일종의 연계성이 있으며 인간의 표정에 나타나는 감성기호에는 일정한 패턴의 체계가 존재한다. 인간의 풍부하고 복잡 미묘한 감성은 감정이라는 형태로 표출되어지고, 복합적이고 세세한 감정의 형태를 모두 통제하는 것은 불가능하리라 사료되나, 감정의 영역에 대한 적정한 일체화 행위를 통하여 각 감정 영역별 흐름을 찾을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 표정 이외의 인간의 다른 행동들 역시 이처럼 특징적인 형태, 유사성 등이 존재하나 본 연구에서는 인간의 표정에 제한하여 연구를 실시하였고, 연구를 통하여 보다 편리한 표정제작에 도움이 될 수 있는 감정의 표출 형태 중 표정의 범주화를 실시코자 한다.
