Trench Gate 구조를 이용한 LDMOS의 항복전압 개선 (Breakdown voltage improvement of LDMOS using Trench Gate structure)

  • Trench-Gate structures are proposed to improve the breakdown voltage of LDMOS as well as the second breakdown under forward biased gate. Two dimensional device simulator PISCES II has been used to explain the effects of the drift layer thickness on the breakdown voltage of the conventional LDMOS and Trench Gate LDMOS in terms of potential contour lines. The Trench Gate structure has shown improvements in the breakdown voltage by about 44% and 84% for $V_G$=0 V and $V_G$=15 V respectively.

  • In ahigh power amplifier design, power combiner/divider is used to connect low power amplifiers in parallel. The raidal structure of the powe combiner/divider has not only a good characteristics of port-to-port isolation but also an advantage of giving a redundancy to the structure itself by using RF switches. The parastics of a power resistor, that would be a problem in design process, are removed by both slot lines and cavity resonators, and the comon node in the circuit is rdesigned as a planar topology, and thus a new type of 4-way radial power combiner/divider is accomplished at 1840 ~ 1870 MH PCS frequency band. The insertion loss, reflection, and isolation characteristics of 40way radial power combiner/divider which can be adaptable to PCS system in this thesis are -0.3dB, -24dB,a dn -27dB respectively.

Virulence Structure of Blumeria graminis f. sp. avenae Populations in Poland across 2014-2015

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the virulence structure of oat powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis f. sp. avenae, Bga) populations in Poland collected in 2014 and 2015. Powdery mildew isolates were collected from 18 locations in Poland. In total, nine lines and cultivars of oat, with different mildew resistance genes, were used to assess virulence of 180 isolates. The results showed that a significant proportion of the Bga isolates found in Poland were virulent to differentials with Pm1, Pm3, Pm6, and Pm3 + Pm8 genes. In contrast Pm4, Pm5, Pm2, and Pm7 genes were classified as resistant to all pathogen isolates used in the experiment. Based on obtained results we can state that there are differences in virulence pattern and diversity parameters between sites and years, but clear trends are not deducible.

  • High speed railway challenge the design, construction and maintaining of traditional railway, many traditional design concepts have been changed. Transition of railway and bridge has two main problems. one is that different lines have different ability of resisting distortion in area of trial load, which was known that problem of smooth transition of stiffness, the other is that differential settlement between artificial structure and earth structure cause bending of railway. The two problems have effect on train moving. The principle of processing transition of railway and bridge is same in world, but it is difficult to find relationship between design standard of transition, vehicle performance, line standard, design speed and so on form documentation and data reports. Based on mechanics, the paper analyzed dynamic performance of transition of high speed railway, studied various rough elements which is effective to train moving, built mathematical model of interaction of train and transition of high speed railway and developed numerical simulation software. In various different work conditions, we did great quantity of numerical simulation, comprehensive analysis and performance analysis.

  • Now days, the demands of new type hull lines and optimum design in relation with the EEDI (Energy Efficiency Design Index) regulation and eco-friendly high efficiency vessel design are mandatory clauses in Euro financial crises era. Therefore, in correlation with the above, we tried to find the optimum results and revealed the alterations of supporting structure for liftable car deck latch on PCTC. Generally, PCTC (Pure Car & Truck Carrier) design has been performed by 2 pillar space model F. E analysis without vehicle loads on liftable car deck to evaluate the structural adaptability. So, we applied mentioned vehicle loads on pillar and side transverse web on model to compare with not applied model and performed the ultimate strength analysis of improved design for the safety evaluation.

연결요소를 이용한 한.영 혼용문서의 구조분석 및 낱자분리 (Bilingual document analysis and character segmentation using connected components)

  • In this paper, we descried a bottom-up document structure analysis method in bilingual Korean-English document. We proposed a character segmentation method based on the layout information of connected component of each character. In many researches, a document has been analyzed into text blocks and graphics. We analyzed a document into four parts: text, table, graphic, and separator. A text is recursively subdivided into text blocks, text lines, words, and characters. To extract the character in bilingual text, we proposed a new method of word of word separation of Korean or English. Futhermore, we used a character merging and segmentation method in accordance with the properties of Hangul on the Korean word blocks. Experimental results on the various documents show that the proposed method is very effectively operated on the document structure analysis and the character segmentation.

  • As anti-crash and pre-crash systems in vehicles become more extensively used, the need for high performance short-range radars is playing an increasing role. This paper presents the design of a micromachined, ultra-wideband beamformer centered at 24 GHz for automotive short-range radar systems. This beamformer is a Butler matrix designed using ultra-wideband transmission-line couplers, which consist of a multilayered structure that exhibits wider bandwidth compared to conventional microstrip branch-line couplers. The circuit has been designed on a quartz substrate, and to achieve the desired coupling, lines suspended on BCB layers located at specific parts of the circuit were used, achieving a three metal layered structure in form of wide microstrips, that give low loss and a wideband response. In this paper the design and fabrication procedure of the proposed beamformer are fully described.

Analysis of a nonuniform guiding structure by the adaptive finite-difference and singular value decomposition methods

  • This paper presents a flexible finite-difference technique for analyzing the nonuniform guiding structures. Because the voltage and current variations along the nonuniform structure differ for each segment, this work considers the adaptable discretization steps. This technique increases the accuracy of the final response. Moreover, by applying the singular value decomposition and discarding the nonprincipal singular values, an optimal lower rank approximation of the discretization matrix is obtained. The computational cost of the introduced method is significantly reduced using the optimal discretization matrix. Also, the proposed method can be extended to the nonuniform waveguides. The technique is verified by analyzing several practical transmission lines and waveguides with nonuniform profiles.

  • We propose comb-line filter using SIR(Stepped Impedance Resonator) with two transmission line. The coupling structure of the filter is double coupled line where two coupled lines are linked with cascade. We find out the inverter function of the filter. using even and odd mode impedance. The merits of the filter are that first, we can design transmission zero point at any frequency that we wanted without using lumped elements : chip capacitors and inductors. Second, we can design small size filters. To validate the inverter function of the filter with double coupled line we designed and fabricated two-pole band pass filter with the proposed filter structure.

조류와 파랑 중의 인장계류식 해양구조물의 거동해석 (Behavior Analysis of a Tension Leg Platform in Current and Waves)

  • The Tension Leg Platform(TLP) is restrained from oscillating vertically by tethers(or tendons), which are vertical anchor lines tensioned by the platform buoyancy larger than the platform weight. Thus a TLP is a compliant structure which allows lateral movements of surge, sway, and yaw but restrains heave, pitch, roll. In this paper, the motions of a TLP in current and waves were investigated. Hydrodynamic forces and wave exciting forces acting on the TLP were evaluated using the three dimensional source distribution method. The motion responses and tension variations of the TLP were analyzed in the case of including current or not including one in regular waves and effects of current on the TLP were investigated.
