Interpretation on the Subsurface Velocity Structure by Seismic Refraction Tomography (탄성파 굴절법 토모그래피를 이용한 지반의 속도분포 해석)

  • Refraction tomography was developed to interpret subsurface velocity structure easily in topographic conditions. It was applied to synthetic refraction data to find the factors for optimization of applicability of refraction tomography such as configuration of profiling and its length, spacing of geophones and sources and topographic conditions. Also, low velocity layer near VSP hole could be detected by joint inversion with refraction and VSP data. Continuity of subsurface velocity structure in two different spread lines for area of house land development was good in case of applying our algorithm and velocity structure was classified quantitatively to evaluate rippability for engineering works.

  • Fashion and architecture essentially have structure to build space for a form of three dimensions. This study defines the form in which structure in itself becomes design as structural simplicity and investigates design paying attention to only structure. It is one of efforts in order to display new design required in the age of a flood of design and it is considered that before developing design through the fusion of architecture and fashion, understanding structure which is the most fundamental element to constitute the form of the two genres will be a groundwork to develop proper fusion design. This study elucidates similarities between architecture and fashion through literature review and investigates structure meant in architecture and fashion, and after that, collects corresponding examples through related literature and fashion information site. For structural simplicity in architecture, structure of a building in itself is a form and decoration at the same time, and it appears as a form of minimizing other elements and stressing the structure only. Structure in fashion means composition line which essentially exists to embody two dimensional materials onto three dimensional human body. As elements of geometric lines are creatively expressed by a designer in order to constitute three dimensional form from structural simplicity, they connote a variety of functions and exert decorative effects as well. And the shape of structure expressed like this is employed as a tool to show off the designer's techniques.

  • This paper proposes the architecture of a multiple ring based optical network with single hop between edge nodes using either the concept of circuit switching or multi-wavelength label. The structure of the multi-wavelength label, be shown through the single wavelength-band and the multiple wavelength-band that can reduce number of ring. To avoid the collision of the optical packets at an outward port, we proposed the dynamic allocation scheme of the outward optical packets based on the fiber do]ay lines(FDLs).

  • Laser-ablated ITO patterns showed the formation of shoulders at the edge of the ITO lines and a ripple-like structure of the etched bottom. When the laser ablation was applied in the fabrication of PDP panel, the laser-ablated ITO patterns showed a higher sustaining voltage than that of chemically wet-etched ITO.

  • Approximate design formulse for bandpass filter using stepped microstrip lines are derived. The coupling length of which can be adjusted according to the factor K.Some advantages fo this filter, thus, are the abilities to control the size and shape by changing the structure of the resonator. Using the design formulas an experimental filter was designed and fabricated . The experimental results have been agree with the designed ones, and hence, the validity of the proposed method has been confirmed.

  • In this paper, we try to make a systematic analysis for the vertical crosstalk on LCD driving. The vertical Crosstalk is one of the inevitable phenomena in the high-resolution TFT-LCDs. At first, the vortical Crosstalk is defined. Considering the structure of the pixels and data lines, a LCD (a pixel) is modeled electrically by its' equivalent circuit. The circuit is verified by experiment and used to find the cause of the vertical Crosstalk.

  • Rail carrying structures in international routes as well as domestic ones shall be designed to carry HL(High Speed Railway live Load) loads, The loads shall be placed in the most unfavourable position for the part of the structure in question. In general, influence lines may be used to determine the maximum bending moments and maximum shear forces in the reinforced concrete rahmen bridge structures. In this study, based on the finite element analysis, equivalent distributed loads of HL loading for design of the rahmen bridges are deterimined.

  • This article explores the problem of ergodicity for the nonlinear autoregressive processes with ARCH structure in a very general setting. A sufficient condition for the geometric ergodicity of the model is developed along the lines of Feigin and Tweedie(1985), thereby extending classical results for specific nonlinear time series. The condition suggested is in turn applied to some specific nonlinear time series illustrating that our results extend those in the literature.

  • To find out the novel anticancer agent for the treatment of solid tumors, 1-arylsulfonyl-2-alkoxy-4-arylimidazolines were designed and prepared from substituted styrenes through three steps. Compared to 5-fluorouracil, these analogues exhibit moderate cytotoxicity against human solid tumor cell lines, A-549(lung carcinoma) and SK-Mel-2(malignant melanoma). The structure-activity relationship indicates the high potential of this series for the development of novel antineoplastic agent.

  • The feature points of an image play a very important role in understanding the image. Especially, when an image is composed of lines, vertices of the image offer informations about its property and structure. In this paper, a series of process for extracting feature points from actual IC image is described. This result can be used to acquire CIF ( Caltech Intermediate Form ) file.
