This paper presents a method about amorphous obstacles avoidance for local path planning in the two-dimensional sensor environment. In particular, the proposed method is extended from some of the recent studies about a point obstacle avoidance. In the paper, repulsive forces of two types are proposed in order that the robot avoids from the amorphous obstacle with various size and form. A judgment of curvatures in the proposed method simplifies the recognition of obstacles to make the path-planning efficient. In addition, the line of sight(LOS) and the range of recognition are considered in the environment. By simulation results, the proposed method for amorphous obstacle avoidance shows better performance than the related existing method and we confirmed advantages of proposed method.
The chirp signaling has been mainly used in radar systems due to its good correlation characteristics, and nowadays it is applied to real time locating system(RTLS). The RTLS with chirp signaling was chosen as a standard such as ISO/IEC 24730-5 and IEEE 802.15.4a. In this paper, the performance of a real time locating system with chirp signaling was evaluated and simulated with relative distance error rates. We considered three cases of S/I = -30[dB], -20[dB], and -10[dB] with Rician factor K=10 and K=20. The performance was enhanced with K factor improvement by 25%, 27% and 50% for respective three cases of S/I. As results, in case of S/I < -20[dB], the minimum signal power is required for performance improvement even though the line of sight component is helpful. And also, in case of S/I ${\geq}$ -20[dB], as the line of sight component is stronger the better performance is obtained.
Unmanned aircraft system traffic management (UTM) service for the safe operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) such as drones using commercial communication networks such as long-term evolution (LTE) and 5G in low-altitude areas of 150m or less is being studied in several countries. In this paper, whether it is possible to secure three-dimensional (3D) coverage for UTM service using the existing LTE cellular network for terrestrial usersis analyzed through simulations. The practicality in the real environment is confirmed by performing performance analysis in the actual topographical environment and the LTE base station layouts in Korea. According to the analysis results, as the altitude increases, the number of line-of-sight (LOS) interference base stations increases, resulting in a worse signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR), but coverage is secured except for the limited areas within 150m. was confirmed to be possible. In addition, it is confirmed that a significant proportion of outage areas could be reduced by placing a small number of additional base stations for the outage area.
The antenna radiation pattern was simulated by arranging the mounted antennae of the transport drone in 5 locations where radio interference was expected to be low, and they could be mounted. Depending on the mounting location, the probability that the link margin was less than 0 dB was (5.41 - 26.92) %. When two antennae were mounted and one was selected, the probability was (0.11 - 3.3) %. Among the arrangements, placing one antenna in the upper part of the front and one in the lower part of the rear showed the lowest link fail probability. In this case, it was analyzed that if the attitude roll and pitch of the aircraft were limited, link fail would not occur at an operating distance of 12 km or less. An antenna selection formula for this case was derived, and a method of reducing frequent alternation of antennae was applied to maintain a stable link.

In this in this thesis, we have proposed the Kor-231 which compared with Hata by dividing 4 classes and 8 details, which based on that the area subdivision which is defined by the City planning Regulation of Korea classified on its rate of building-to-land, floor area and distance between buliding and botanical coefficient. The experiments are carried out at the point of the RMS delay spread and the recerived power in the two kinds of geographical areas, LOS(Line of Sight) and N-LOS(Non Line of Sight). When the measured result is compared with Kor-231 model, we can catch the result that received power are 25.5dB and 14.5dB, the RMS delay spread are 101ns and 35ns and N-LOS received power are 4.1dB and 1.6dB. So we have certified that it is well due to the result analyzed into the difference of the RMS delay spread from 74ns to 200ns.

This paper proposes a new guidance law for increasing the lethality of munitions. The well known PNG (Proportional Navigation Guidance) is inadequate for the munitions because of some weaknesses. Even if the munition does not have the impact point error, the acceleration command is non zero because the line-of-sight changes at all times in flight. Therefore, we use a difference between a target and an impact point. This proposed guidance law is similar to PNG in the form, but this guidance law concentrates a correction rate of flight path angle instead of the LOS (Line of Sight) rate. The correction of flight path angle is defined as the amount of impact point error. This impact point error can be calculated by neural networks rapidly. Finally, we show that the simulation results prove the suitability of this law.

In this paper, we propose a simple open loop transmit diversity (TD) scheme for the wideband code division multiple access (W-CDMA) systems in Rician multipath fading channels such as rural area or satellite channels where line-of-sight (LOS) paths are in presence. The proposed scheme does not require any pre-processing of transmit data, resulting in simpler structure as compared to conventional closed loop transmit adaptive array (TxAA) and open loop space-time transmit diversity (STTD). We analytically derive the probability density function of signal-to-noise ratio at the Rake receiver output and the uncoded bit error rate performance of the proposed scheme. Extensive simulation is Performed to verify the analytical performance of the proposed scheme under typical Rician multipath fading channel environments. Moreover, comparative results with the conventional TxAA and STTD are also provided. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme shows slightly better performance than the conventional open loop STTD under the channels with very weak LOS components, however, it significantly outperforms the STTD under the channels with dominant LOS components, and achieves a close performance of ideal closed loop TxAA.

It is confirmed that as the distance measurements accuracy of the SDS-TWR(Symmetric Double-Sided Two-Way Ranging) based on CSS(Chirp Spread Spectrum) is considerably degraded due to frequency interference and it causes to severe errors in the localization applications. In this paper, the compensation algorithm based on error rate offset of distance measurement ($CA_d$) is proposed for the purpose to reduce the ranging errors due to by the SDS-TWR ranging problems. The $CA_d$ measures the distance values between two nodes by means of 1m interval about 1~25m distances in the SDS-TWR, and compensates the distance values using the parameters related to the distance compensation. From the experiments, it is analyzed that the $CA_d$. have reduced the distance error to average 95cm and maximum 526cm, and the distance error by the $CA_d$ was below about 60cm in the 25m distances. In particular, the performance of the distance measurements accuracy by the $CA_d$ is very high in LOS(Line Of Sight) environments.

In this paper, we proposed on the azimuth correction method for a line-of-sight data-link tracking antenna system. Tracking antenna system is essential to maintain line-of-sight between moving object and data-link equipment. In order to calculate the azimuth and elevation between the moving object and antenna system, we used GPS data. also to match the each coordinate systems, we used geomagnetic sensor or beacon. However, the geomagnetic disturbance-prone terrain in places difficult to correct calibration. The first step, finds the location of the strongest RF signal, we should remember the difference between the reference point and the detected position of the antenna. The second step, we could communicate each other. And the azimuth angle is calculated by GPS values. Despite the geomagnetic interference, we can correct the azimuth angle quickly and easily.

The millimeter wave band is in the extremely high frequency band whose frequency and wavelength are 30-300GHz and 10-1mm respectively. When the obstacles block the propagation path which is not Line-of-Sight (LoS), due to a high propagation loss, it is hard to receive a signal in the millimeter wave band. Therefore When the path loss is measured in the millimeter wave band, the signal which is not distinguished from the noise is observed. Consequently, the path loss data which is limited in certain value is observed in the high propagation loss environment. If the original least square is implemented without taking the limitation of certain value into account, the path loss exponent may be underestimated. In this paper, the performance of Tobit Maximum Likelihood Estimation, Heckman Two-stage Model and Truncation Regression Model which can estimate properly in the censoring or truncated environments are compared.
