Model-Based Robust Lane Detection for Driver Assistance

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient and robust lane detection method for detecting immediate left and right lane boundaries of the lane in the roads. The proposed method are based on hyperbolic lane model and the reliable line segment clustering. The reliable line segment cluster is determined from the most probable cluster obtained from clustering line segments extracted by the efficient LSD algorithm. Experiments show that the proposed method works robustly against lanes with difficult environments such as ones with occlusions or with cast shadows in addition to ones with dashed lane marks, and that the proposed method performs better compared with other lane detection methods on an CMU/VASC lane dataset.

  • This paper presents 3D line segment extraction method, which can be used in generating 3D rooftop model. The core of our method is that 3D line segment is extracted by using line fitting of elevation data on 2D line coordinates of ortho-image. In order to use elevations in line fitting, the elevations should be reliable. To measure the reliability of elevation, in this paper, we employ the concept of self-consistency. We test the effectiveness of the proposed method with a quantitative accuracy analysis using synthetic images generated from Avenches data set of Ascona aerial images. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method shows average 30 line errors of .16 - .30 meters, which are about $10\%$ of the conventional area-based method.

실내 복도 환경에서 선분 특징점을 이용한 비전 기반의 지도 작성 및 위치 인식 (SLAM with Visually Salient Line Features in Indoor Hallway Environments)

  • This paper presents a simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) of an indoor hallway environment using Rao-Blackwellized particle filter (RBPF) along with a line segment as a landmark. Based on the fact that fluent line features can be extracted around the ceiling and side walls of hallway using vision sensor, a horizontal line segment is extracted from an edge image using Hough transform and is also tracked continuously by an optical flow method. A successive observation of a line segment gives initial state of the line in 3D space. For data association, registered feature and observed feature are matched in image space through a degree of overlap, an orientation of line, and a distance between two lines. Experiments show that a compact environmental map can be constructed with small number of horizontal line features in real-time.

슬랙스 설계를 위한 하지동작에 따른 체표선 변화 2 (Changes in Body Surface Lines Caused By Lower Limb Movements in Designing Slacks (II))

  • In this study, by determining lower limb movements which cause significant changes in body surface lines, body parts with the greatest maximum expansion and contraction rate respectively were illustrated in descending order. Using unmarried female university students aged 18 - 24 as subjects, a total of 32 body surface categories (15 body surface lines and 17 body surface segment lines) were measured in one static and 9 movement poses. In particular, expansion and contraction levels and rates were measured and used in the analysis. The analysis first involved the calculation of the average measurement per body part in body surface line in static pose as well as of the average expansion and contraction levels and rates in 9 lower limb movements. Two-way MANOVA and multiple comparison analysis (Tukey) were conducted on movements and individual somatotypes regarding measurement per body part and expansion and contraction rates. Movements which cause measurements of body surface lines differed significantly in body surface line in static pose versus in movement were then identified. Among average expansion and contraction rates in such movements, maximum average expansion and contraction levels, maximum average expansion and contraction rate, and classes of expansion and contraction rate were determined per body part. The results of this study are as follows. First, 5 lower limb movements; F2, F5, F6, F7, F8, which caused significant changes in body surface lines were determined and illustrated in table 4. Second, the levels, rates, and classes of expansion and contraction rate per body part are illustrated in Tables 5 and 6. Body parts with the greatest maximum expansion rate were, in descending order: upper segment of center back leg line, upper segment of inner leg line, middle segment of center front leg line, posterior crotch length, anterior knee girth, anterior thigh girth, center back leg line, girth at crotch height, anterior midway thigh girth, hip girth, anterior crotch length, knee girth, waist girth, inner leg line, thigh girth, and crotch length. Those with the greatest maximum contraction rate were, in descending order: anterior crotch length, upper segment of center front leg line, lower segment of center back leg line, center front leg line, and posterior thigh girth. The maximum expansion rates and maximum contraction rates, which ranged from 2.05 to $35.95\%$ and from -0.20 to $-30.16\%$ respectively, were classified per body part into 4 ABCD classes. The body part with maximum expansion was the upper segment of the center back leg line at vertical body surface line, expanding by $35.95\%$ or 16.03cm in F5 flexion movement. In contrast, the body part with maximum contraction was the anterior crotch length at vertical body surface line, contracting by $-30.16\%$ or -10.54cm in F5 flexion movement. Both, however, were the body parts to expand or contract the most among all horizontal and vertical body surface lines.

  • 정된 예산으로 철도선로시설을 개선하고자 할 때 사용할 수 있는 효과적인 예산배분 방법 중 하나는 가장 노후도가 심각한 선로구간부터 우선적으로 예산을 투입하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 예산배분에 사용할 수 있는 선로구간 노후도 평가방법을 제시한다. 선로구간의 노후도는 궤도, 분기기, 노반, 교량, 터널 등 요소 시설물의 노후도로 결정되며 궤도의 선형 또한 선로구간 노후도에 영향을 준다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 노후도 평가 방법은 각 요소의 노후도 점수에 AHP로 구한 요소 가중치를 반영하여 선로구간 노후도 점수를 구하는 것이다.

  • This paper is composed of the complete representation of two dimensional single layer potentials with linear strength on a straight line segment and its far field behavior which is closely related to the pose of this line segment. The far field behavior of a single layer potential on a given curve has informations of the shape of the curve.

  • A distribution method of limited budget for rail line facility improvement is to use investment priorities of rail line segments based on their deterioration. In this paper we present an evaluation method of rail line segment deterioration which can be used to distribute limited budget. Rail line facilities include rail track, crossing, road bed, bridge, tunnel. These facilities deterioration and line shape can affect line segment deterioration. Deterioration evaluation method we present is a weighted sum of each component deterioration scores. The component weight can be obtained from experts using analytic hierarchy process.

선형 이상체에 의한 벡터 자력 및 자력 변화율 텐서 반응식 (Closed-form Expressions of Vector Magnetic and Magnetic Gradient Tensor due to a Line Segment)

  • 한쪽 방향으로 연장된 이상체를 멀리 떨어져서 관측하면 선형 이상체로 근사가 가능하다. 이런 경우 자력 및 자력 변화율 텐서를 적용하기 위해서는 선형 이상체에 대한 해석해가 필요하다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 선형 이상체에 대한 자력과 자력 변화율 텐서 반응식을 유도하였다. 벡터 자력은 기존에 유도한 선형 이상체에 대한 중력 변화율 텐서를 포아송 관계식을 이용하여 벡터 자력으로 변환하여 유도하였다. 자력 변화율 텐서는 벡터 자력를 기준 직교 좌표계의 성분으로 한번 더 미분하여 유도하였다. 시추공에서 얻은 총자력 탐사 자료를 가정하고, 선형 이상체의 길이, 방향, 자력 모멘트를 비선형 역산 방법으로 추정하는 사례를 보여주었다.

  • 3D computer vision에서 일치성 문제를 해결하기 위한 많은 논문이 epipolar line이 수평하다는 가정을 사용한다. 그러나 실제로 그러한 상황을 만들기에는 어려운 점이 있다. 본 논문은 epipolar line이 수평하지 않은 상태에서 적용할 수 있으며 line matching에 근거를 둔 binocular-stereo matching 알고리듬을 제안한다. 본 논문의 방법은 주어진 line segment 의 끝점에서의 epipolar line 들과 그점에서 maximum disparity에 의해서 결정되어지는 line searching window를 사용한다. 정합시에는 line segment들의 방향과 edge의 세기, cross-correlation들을 사용하였으며. 실험에 의해서 일치성 문제를 해결하기 위한 유용한 방법임을 알 수 있었다.

구간분할 매칭방법과 선형판별분석기법을 융합한 온라인 서명 검증 (On-line Signature Verification using Segment Matching and LDA Method)

  • 기존의 참조서명과 입력서명을 비교하는 방법 중 분절 단위 비교 방법은 전역적 비교와 점 단위 비교 방법과 비교하여 우수한 장점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 분절 단위 비교 방법은 인식률과 직접적인 관계가 있는 분절의 불안정 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 분절단위 방법 외에 선형판별분석에 의한 매칭방법을 고려한 서명 검증 기법을 제안한다. 최종 검증단계에서 두 개의 독립모델을 효과적으로 융합할 수 있는 확률기반의 베이지안 분류기를 적용하였다 다양한 서명데이타를 이용하여 실험한 결과 제안된 기법은 분절단위 기반 구간분할매칭 기법에 비해 우수한 성능을 나타냈다.
