인천국제공항철도 직통형 차량의 주행안전성 평가 (Estimation of Running Safety of Electric Multiple Unit for Express Train in Incheon International Airport Railway)

  • For the safety of railway, it should be evaluated for the running safety by measuring the derailment coefficient. Although railway has run the fixed and maintained rail, some of railway is derailed. This report shows the results that performed the static load test, wheelset manufacturing for test, main line running test on the basis of the derailment theory and experience. It is executed main line test to 120 km/h for estimating the running safety of express train in Incheon International Airport. As the test results, could confirm the curving performance and running safety of Incheon International Airport EMU from the results of the wheel unloading, lateral force, derailment coefficient etc. Derailment coefficient was less than 0.8, and lateral force allowance limit and wheel load reduction ratio were enough safe.

  • This study is aiming to find one of working conditions for loading and unloading a large ship at game port. Firstly, for dynamic analysis of the moored ships, the motion characteristics of ship according to loading condition are figured out. The motion characteristics of ship is related to environmental factors such as current, wind, mooring line, fender and etc. As a result, it is ascertained through numerical simulation using the AQUA MARINE developed by ANSYS INC. This study might contribute to make a new method of mooring stability of target ship.

압기형구조물의 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Characteristics of Air-Chamber Structure)

  • Experimental study is carried out to verify the advantages of an air chamber structure in controlling the wave transformation and its dynamic responses. The open, cross and vertical mooring systems are employed in experiments to investigate the variations of wave transmission ratio, natural period of the structures and tensile force acting on the mooring line according to the change of the initial air depth inside the air chamber structure. Experimental results show that the air chamber floating structure expresses the smaller wave transmission ratio and tensile force acting on the mooring line than general one without air chamber, expecially in the long period region of incident wave. Therefore, it is concluded that the air chamber structure suggested in this study can play good roles as a wave controlling castal structure, and a substitute structure of a general floating structure.

  • This paper addresses the problem of computing grasp stability of the object for two-fingered robots in two dimensions. The concepts of force-closure and dual space are introduced and discussed in novel point of view, and we transform friction cones in a robot work space to line segments in a dual space. We newly define a grasp stability index by calculating intersection condition between line segments in dual space. Moreover, we propose a method to find the optimal grasp points of the given object by comparing the defined grasp stability index. Its validity and effectiveness are investigated and verified by simulations for quadrangle object and elliptic objects.

  • A mathematical model for investigating the form generation mechanism in the centerless thrufeed grinding process is described. The length of the contact line and the magnitude of the grinding force between the grinding wheel and workpieces vary with the change of the axial location of the current workpiece during grinding. Thus, a new coordinate system and a grinding force curve of previous and/or following workpieces are introduced to treat the axial motion. Experiments and computer simulations were carried out using three types of cylindrical workpiece shapes. To validate this model. simulation results are compared with the experimental results.

  • This paper deals with a moving coil type linear motor for fast access of the miniature ODD. This slim-line motor is composed of the mover supported by guide mechanism, the coil wound into it, and the yoke attached to the permanent magnet for stator. The driving force is generated by the PM of the stator and the current in the coil of the mover. Magnetic circuit analysis and Finite Element Method are applied to estimate force at air gap.   • The aim of this paper is to analyze the dynamic responses of pantograph-overhead contact line coupled system by using a condition monitoring system. The monitoring items are strain, vertical displacement and acceleration of a contact wire. Both strain and vertical displacement in the contact wire depends on uplift force and train velocity. Measurement of acceleration shows that the passage of the pantograph gives an impact force to a hard point on a contact wire.

  • A cylindrical capacitive displacement sensor (CCS) was developed and applied for monitoring end milling processes. Dynamic characteristics of a spindle-assembly were measured using the CCS and a designed magnetic exciter. The technique to extract the spindle displacement component caused only by cutting from the measured signals using the CCS was proposed in the paper. Using CCS signals and FRF (Frequency Response Function) derived from dynamics of the spindle tool system, dynamic cutting forces are estimated quantitatively.

  • Vibration in Engine module could be reduced by introducing a balance shaft module which has one or more unbalanced rotors. Since the unbalanced rotor is installed in an opposite direction of the free force or unbalance moment by engine component, the unexpected vibration could be decreased kinematically. The essential equation of the unbalanced rotor was Presented for two cases, 3 in-line and 4 in-line cylinder engine type, And the efficiency of the balance shaft is investigated by the vehicle testing that is focused on measuring the reduced vibration level when adapting a balancing module. With the signal processing of measured signals, some important issues on design the balancing shaft could be derived and the overall design process is explained in the final part including the peripheral component, i.e. housing and bush.
