The authors analyzed the clinical findings, radiological findings and their correlations in the temporomandibular joint disorders. The results were as follows: 1. The most prevalent age group was in the first decade, then the second decade and the third decade. Female were more common with a ratio of 3.4:1. 2. The most common clinical findings was the pain on open mouth position (42.3%), then came the clicking and limitation of mouth opening. 3. The most common bone change on the condyle side was the erosion, then came the flattening, the osteopyte and the sclerosis in that orders. 4. In the case of the crepitus, the coarse crepitus showed more radiological change than the fine crepitus. The 27% of the patients with crepitus showed the bone change and the patients with crepitus showed more bone change than any other clinical symptoms. 5. In the case of the mouth opening limitation, the evaluation of the translatory movement by transcranial projection was in accordance with the clinical evaluation. 6. The correlation between the clinical symptom and the condylar position within the mandibular fossa was not present and in the case of diagnosis of disc displacement, the transcranial projection seemed not to be able to substitute for the arthrography. Radiographically, the most prevalent age group which showed the bone change was in the first, the second and the third decade. And the bone change seemed to have no relationship with aging.
This study explored how young people with disabilities experience self-determination in their lives. This study employed a grounded theory approach involving 10 undergraduate students with cerebral palsy or physical disabilities, in their early 20's, and individual interviews. The experience relating self-determination of the participants seemed to start with "wanting to do things at their will as they grow up". The participants reported experiencing "yearning to attain self-actualization overcoming disabilities" in the context of "disability-related social limitation", "divided opinions between the participants and their parents", and "limitation in financial and psychological resources". The emerging strategies to attain self-actualization included "active coping", "avoiding confrontation", and "conditional acceptance". Intervening conditions to formation of the strategies included ”challenging spirits towards prejudice about disability", "autonomous tendencies", "taking the most of social support" and "parenting attitudes of their parents". In the process of seeking to attain self-actualization, these participants experienced "self-maturation" and "the sense of guilt towards their parents". The findings emerged from the study was that there are three stages in the process young people went through in self-determination. The stages consist of "perceiving their needs and obstacles for self-determination", "problem solving", and "perceiving their growth". In addition, four self-determination patterns are derived from this data: "breaking through", "multi-strategic", "moderate", and "acceptive". This study suggested some theoretical and prctical implications needed to facilitate self-determination of youth with disabilities.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate degree of stress level in CCU patients, and to give a baseline data in developing nursing intervention program to reduce the stress. Method: Subjects of this study were the 100 hospitalized patients of C University Hospital in Seoul City from February to December 2003. The collected data was analyzed by using the SAS program: t-test, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test, and ANOVA analysis were employed to find differences in stress level. Result: The highest stress factor was 'Concern', and next were 'Dependency & limitation', 'Uncertainty', 'Treatment procedure', 'Sleep disturbance', 'Environment' in order. The perceived stress level of CCU patients was 1.65 scores; the highest scored item was 'have to void urine and feces on the bed', next were 'have to use the toilet bowel lying on the bed' in order. The stress level according to characteristics of the subjects was significantly different with the marital status, the presence of religion, the hospitalized days, the economic status, and the admission experience. Conclusion: The stress level of patients in the coronary care unit was high in concern of a disease, family and economic state, in limitation and dependency, and in uncertainty about prognosis of a disease. Further researches are necessary to develop and apply the intervention method of reducing stress level of CCU patients. In addition studies on family members of CCU patients are also recommended.
A 4D light field image is represented in traditional 2D spatial domain and additional 2D angular domain. The 4D light field has a resolution limitation both in spatial and angular domains since 4D signals are captured by 2D CMOS sensor with limited resolution. In this paper, we propose a dictionary learning-based superresolution algorithm in 4D light field domain to overcome the resolution limitation. The proposed algorithm performs dictionary learning using a large number of extracted 4D light field patches. Then, a high resolution light field image is reconstructed from a low resolution input using the learned dictionary. In this paper, we reconstruct a 4D light field image to have double resolution both in spatial and angular domains. Experimental result shows that the proposed method outperforms the traditional method for the test images captured by a commercial light field camera, i.e. Lytro.
Photosynthetic parameters of Scendesmus quadricauda, such as the maximum photosynthetic rate ($P_{max}$), photosynthetic efficiency (α) and the initial saturation intensity of irradiance for photosynthesis ($I_K$) were obtained using photosynthesis-irradiance (P-I) curve in a phosphorus-limited chemostat. S. quadricauda exhibitied no photoinhibition until at 200 μmol·$m^{-2}$ . $P_{max}$ (r=0.963, P=0.002) and $I_K$(r=0.904, P=0.013) showed linear relationships with growth rate. Chlorophyll-α concentration and cell dry weight decreased at higher growth rates, ut chlorophyll-α content per cell dry weight increased. The increase in photosynthetic rates at higher growth rates was due to the increase of $P_{max}$ and $I_K$ which was caused mainly by the increase in the absolute amount of chlorophyll-α rather than the increased photosynthetic efficiency of individual chlorphyll-α. The α did not show a significant relationship with growth rate (r=0.714, P=0.111). The cell quota of carbon (r=0.554, P=0.254) was not correlated with growth rate, but cell quota of nitrogen (r=0.818, P=0.047) and phosphorus (r=0.855, P=0.030) exhibited linear correlations with growth rate.
This study investigates suicidal ideation and its associated factors by sex in adolescents, focusing health behaviors and health status. For this study, data of 931 adolescents(11-18years) from the Fifth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(KNHANES V-1, 2010) were analyzed. Those who had activity limitation, depression, less exercise showed higher suicidal ideation. For male adolescents, those who were high school student compared with middle school showed lower suicidal ideation and had depression showed higher suicidal ideation. On the other hand, the risk factors of suicidal ideation for female adolescents were activity limitation, smoking experience, depression, less exercise. The development of suicide prevention program for adolescents requires different approaches for each sex.
Osteoarthritis(OA) is a widespread, slowly developing disease with a high prevalence rate increasing with age. The most common big joints involved in OA is the knee, where the disease particulary strikes, causing difficulties in rising from a chair. climbing stairs, kneeling. standing, and walking. The primary complaints of these patients include pain, stiffness. instability, and loss of function. The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of self-reported symptoms and limited flexion, and limited extension on functional impairment in patients with knee osteoarthritis. In the data collection, a total of 206 who had visited the physiotherapy unit at six different departments of orthopedics were interviewed in K City from June to September, 2000. The results of the study summarized are as fellows: 1. There was a significant difference among different degree group of limited flexion(p<0.05). A group difference was demonstrated between <5 ${\sim}$ 15 and 16 > (F=16.21, p<0.05). In the relationship between the degree of limited flexion and the level of functional impairment, the h igher the range of limited flexion, the lower the level of functional impairment. 2. In the relationship between the degree of limited extension and the level of functional impairment, a group difference was revealed between the non-limitation group and the <10 and 11 < However, no significant difference was noted between 11 ${\sim}$ 20 and 21 >(F= 13.37, p<0.05). In conclusion, finding above suggest that functional impairment is closely correlated with limited tlexion and extenion
The gellan was produced by Pseudomonas elodea under aerobic condition. In this study, the effects of inoculum size, carbon sources and concentration, nitrogen source, and C/N ratio on the cell growth and the production of gellan were evaluated. The maximum growth of P. elodea and gellan production was obtained at 5% (v/v) of inoculum size and glucose showed best results among 9 carbon sources tested. The maximum specific yield of 2.22 and productivity of $0.03 g/\ell$h were obtained at 1.0% (w/v) of glucose. The maximum gellan production was obtained at medium without ammonium nitrate. This indicates that nitrogen limitation is essential for the production of gellan. The highest cell and gellan production were obtained at 20 of C/N ratio.

In this paper we consider technological requirements to broadcast digital television signals using single frequency networks(SFN) in the Advanced Television Systems Committee(ATSC) transmission systems and propose Interference Cancellation Digital On Channel Regenerative Repeater(IC-DOCR) thar overcomes the limitation of EDOCR(Equalization Digital On Channel Repeater) proposed by ETRI. The proposed IC-DOCR maintains the benefits of EDOCR that have good output signal quality removing multi-path, additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN). In additional, since the Interference Cancellation algorithm using the 8-VSB symbol demodulation of received signal removes the Interference of feedback signal, IC-DOCR improve the weakness of EDOCR that have low isolation between receive and transmit antenna so that can overcome the limitation of output signal power. we did analysis and verification of the proposed system performance using computational simulation.

Driving the electrodeless fluorescent lamp, the high ac voltage with high frequency is required. The linear power amplifier has been widely used as a driving circuit of electrodeless fluorescent lamp. However, the low efficiency of the power amplifier causes the driving circuit to be replaced by a PWM switching inverter. In order to use a PWM switching inverter as the driving circuit to be replaced by a PWM switching inverter. In order to use a PWM switching inverter as the driving circuit of an electrodeless fluorescent lamp, the high switching frequency is required. But due to the switching loss at switches of the inverter, the limitation of high switching frequency appears in the inverter. One solution to this limitation is to reduce the switching loss by using the zero voltage switching technique. In this paper, zero voltage switching resonant inverter for driving an electrodeless fluorescent lamp is discussed. The results of analysis about the inverter are presented and the equations for design are established. And the validity of the analyzed results are verified through the experiment.
