  • Generally Jar-Test is available to determine the coagulant dosage rate. Disadventages associated with Jar-Test are that regular samples have to be taken requiring manual intervention and the limitation to feedback control. To deal with this difficulty, determined optimized dosage rates of coagulant to investigates the union operation method of the statistical equation which uses the multi-regression method and the SCD.

  • As high-capacity disk drives pow in track density, the allowable level of PES is becoming smaller. In this paper, some design concept of actuator is introduced to suppress the Butterfly mode that imposes the fundamental limitation on servo bandwidth. The effect of dynamics of proposed actuator on PES is examined by simulation.

  • Many researches have concluded that product advantage or superiority is the most important factor for the commercial success of new products. However, the specific dimensions of product advantage have not been studied as yet. Based on a survey of newly introduced products in recent years, we suggest the eight dimensions of quality of new product: function, time, limitation, usability, problem prevention, economy, maintainability, nativeness. The dimensions and their constituents are explained with examples.

  • For the effective reduction of structural vibration level it is important to obtain the exciting force components. But, sometimes direct force measurement is infeasible due to the geometric limitation of sensor placement. In this case, indirect force identification becomes useful tool for obtaining input force information. In this paper, indirect force technique was applied to air-jet weaving machine and shows some numerical results.

  • This paper represents the analysis of the sheet drawing by applying the Matrix method to Hill's slip-line field for small reduction and indirect type slip-line field in case of large reduction. Results of the analysis represent the relation between the reduction ratio and the die wall pressure, mean drawing stress through rough die. The limitation on the use of this slip-line field is described. When the reduction ratio is given, the optimum die angle is analyzed in this paper.

  • IP traceback is an solution for Defending against distributed denial-of-service attacks, the Fragment Marking Scheme is the famous method for IP traceback problem. In this paper, we are interested in understanding the reconstruction process at the victim of Fragment Marking Scheme deeply and make us more clearly about its limitation based on some papers mentioning it.

  • The exploitable efficiency of UHP is very important in a projection system. We always use lens array for light shaping and energy distribution transformation in conventional projection system. Because of the limitation of arc gap and F/# of elements, the utilize efficiency is always dismal. In this paper we try to bring out a new method to reduce the sparkle formed on the PS converter and enhance the system efficiency.

  • A new motion compensation method for ISAR is presented in this paper. It employs amplitude limiting and integration of consecutive range profiles to improve the range and phase alignment accuracy and to alter the propagation properties of compensation errors. These allow the image quality to be significantly improved. It is shown from the imaging results that the new motion compensation algorithm can get images of targets in field situations with much better quality than the traditional cross-correlation algorithm.
