Al-Si-Ca 합금 폼의 압축 피로 거동 (Compression-Compression Fatigue Behavior of Al-Si-Ca alloy Foams)

  • The compression-compression fatigue properties of the closed cell Al-Si-Ca alloy foams have been studied. The monotonic and cyclic compressive properties were compared with each other and the fatigue stress-life (S-N) curves were presented. In compression-compression fatigue, the crushing was found to initiate in a single band which broadens gradually with additional fatigue cycles. Progressive shortening of the specimen took place due to a combination of low cycle fatigue failure and cyclic ratcheting which is in accordance with the findings of previous researchers [1-3]. Young's modulus of the foam was found to decrease with the increasing strain in case of fatigue test however in case of monotonic compression test the value of Young's modulus increased with the strain (number of cycles). The endurance limit on the basis of $10^{7}$ cycles obtained by extrapolating the experimental results were 0.98 MPa and 1.70 MPa for load ratios 0.1 and 0.5 respectively which are 34 % and 59 % of the plateau stress.

  • Low Density Parity Check codes(LDPC)는 최근 우수한 성능으로 통신 분야에서 채널 코딩의 중요한 블록으로 주목받고 있다. 그리하여 Wibro를 포함한 여러 표준에서 LDPC 부호를 채널 코딩으로 채택하고 있다. 이러한 LDPC 부호의 Encoder를 구현하는데 있어서의 약점은 기존의 이진 Matrix Vector Multiplier가 throughput의 감소의 원인이 되는 clock cycle이 많다는 것이다. 본 논문은 표준에서 사용되는 H 행렬이 Circulant Permutation Matrix(CPM)로 정의되어 있다는 점을 이용하여 인코더의 구현에 있어서 기존의 Matrix Vector Multiplier 대신에 cyclic shift register와 exclusive-OR을 사용하는 설계구조를 제안한다. 또한, 제안한 구조를 이용하여 WiBro에 포함되는 다양한 부호율에 적용가능한 인코더를 설계하였다. 제안된 WiBro LDPC의 인코더는 기존보다 적은 clock cycle을 가지므로 높은 throughput에 도달한다.

  • 전형적인 경기변동모형의 경우 노동시간 선택 문제만을 고려하여 노동시장의 주요 거시 변수인 고용과 실업을 명시적으로 설명하지 못하는 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 뉴 케인지안 유형의 가격 경직성 모형에 노동시장의 탐색 및 매칭 마찰을 도입하고 이를 베이지안 방법으로 추정하여 우리나라 고용 및 실업의 움직임을 전체 경기변동의 움직임에 비추어 살펴보았다. 추정 결과 우리나라 실업률은 노동공급 충격과 더불어 노동수요 측면인 기술충격에 의하여 많은 부분 설명되는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 노동시장 변동에서 기업과 노동자 간의 임금 협상에서 기인하는 협상력 충격도 상당 부분 중요한 것으로 나타났는데 협상력 충격은 경기 및 고용에 부정적인 영향을 미치므로 이에 대하여 주의를 기울일 필요가 있다.

Influence of Cobalt Content on the Fatigue Strength of WC-Co Hardmetals

  • The behavior of hardmetals under cyclic loads is investigated. Unnotched specimens were employed to obtain practical information regarding fatigue in hardmetals. All the tested hardmetals exhibit an increase in the number of cycles until failure with a decrease in the maximum stress, i.e., the hardmetals exhibit a high fatigue sensitivity. The fatigue strength increases with the cobalt content. Although distinct fatigue limits, as observed in metals, cannot be observed, the calculated fatigue limit stress at $10^7$ cycles is found to be approximately 70% of the flexural strength, and the stress value exhibits a linear relationship with the flexural stress.

  • A methodology to evaluate fatigue vulnerability of steel bridge members affected by corrosion and truck traffic variation is proposed. A fatigue limit state function including corrosion and traffic variation effects is established to make the criterion whether the steel bridge member is damaged by fatigue. Corrosion effects are expressed as increase of the average corrosion depth, and the traffic variation effects are modeled as the accumulated number of stress cycles. Reliability analysis is carried out by Monte-Carlo simulation method for the fatigue limit state function. The methodology Proposed is verified by comparing reference study and applying for the steel bridge in service.

  • 본 논문에서는 카오스 궤적 표면에서 불안정한 리미트 사이클을 가지는 장애물 회피 기법을 제안하였다. 카오스 궤적 표면의 모든 장애물은 불안정한 리미트 사이클을 가지는 Van der Pol 방정식으로 가정하였다. 하나 또는 몇 개의 Van der Pol 장애물과 고정 장애물을 로봇이 피해가는 과정을 결과로 나타내었다.

  • For different ferrite-pearlite matrix structure, contain more than 90% spheroidal ratio of graphite, GCD 45-3, GCD 50, GCD 60 series and 70%, 80%, 90% spheroidal ratio of graphite, GCD 40, GCD 45-1, GCD 45-2 series, this paper has carried out rotary bending fatigue test, estimated maximum and mean size of spheroidal graphite, investigated correlation. It was concluded as follows. (1) Fatigue limit in $10^7$cycles and numbers of spheroidal graphite per 1$mm^2$ was linear relation. (2) projection area of graphite can be used to predict fatigue limit of Ductile Cast Iron. The Statistical distribution of extreme values of projection area of defects may be used as a guideline for the control of inclusion size in the steelmaking processes.

PR형 공압 머니퓰레이터의 위치서보제어 (Position servo control of a PR type pneumatic manipulator)

  • This paper concerns a 2-axis PR type pneumatic manipulator system translating in vertical and rotating in horizontal directions. A simplified linear model is mathematically formulated similar to the pneumatic acturators in dynamic responses in order to devise an appropriate position control scheme. A PD controller preceding the on/off solenoid valve turns out not only economical but also effective in reducing rise time and amplitude of limit cycles, if its control gains are determined on the basis of frequency response. And, additional implementation of symmetric or asymmetric deadband at the PD controller output greatly helps minimize valve opening numbers, positional error, and undesirable direction-dependent property due to the gravitational load. Such a control concept is synthesized through numerical simulations and next applied to the experimental set-up, featuring enhanced positional servo characteristics.

The Collision Avoidance Method in the Chaotic Robot with Hyperchaos Path

  • In this paper, we propose a method to avoid obstacles that have unstable limit cycles in a Hyperchaos trajectory surface. We assume all obstacles in the chaos trajectory surface have a Van der Pol equation with an unstable limit cycle. When a chaos robot meets an obstacle in a hyper-chaos equation trajectory, the obstacle reflects the robot. We also show computer simulation result of hyperchaos equation trajectories with one or more Van der Pol obstacles.

Obstacle Avoidance Methods in the Chaotic Mobile Robot with Integrated some Chaos Equation

  • In this paper, we propose a method to avoid obstacles that have unstable limit cycles in a chaos trajectory surface. We assume all obstacles in the chaos trajectory surface have a Van der Pol equation with an unstable limit cycle. When a chaos robot meets an obstacle in an Arnold equation or Chua's equation trajectory, the obstacle reflects the robot. We also show computer simulation results of Arnold equation and Chua's equation and random walk chaos trajectories with one or more Van der Pol obstacles and compare the coverage rates of each trajectory. We show that the Chua's equation is slightly more efficient in coverage rates when two robots are used, and the optimal number of robots in either the Arnold equation or the Chua's equation is also examined.
